Who Really Appeared to Moses in the Burning Bush? Moses assumed he was talking to God, but the New Testament gives us clarity. Dr. Abel Damina teaches a vital truth many Christians overlook: Everything in the Bible is truly recorded, but not everything recorded is a revelation of God’s character. God inspired the writing of Scripture The stories, conversations, actions, and events were accurately documented. But God did not inspire every action done or statement made by the people in those stories. Some things people assumed or said were based on limited understanding, fear, tradition, or shadows, not the full revelation of Christ. The burning bush account is a perfect example: Moses believed it was God speaking to him. But the New Testament, which holds the interpretation of the Old, tells us it was an angel.
