• THE NAME THAT RULES HEAVEN AND EARTH

And Jesus Came And Spake Unto Them, Saying, All Power Is Given Unto Me In Heaven And In Earth" (Matthew 28:18 KJV).

When the Lord Jesus declared, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth," He made a proclamation no earthly ruler could ever truthfully make. Throughout history, mighty empires arose with extraordinary influence and vast dominions.

The Pharaohs ruled with terrifying authority in Egypt. Nebuchadnezzar expanded Babylon's greatness across nations. The Persians, the Greeks, and later the Romans each dominated the world in their time. Yet, every one of those empires eventually crumbled.

However, while Rome still stood in all its pride and "Glory," the Lord Jesus came on the scene with a higher dominion. This wasn't merely political authority or earthly influence but absolute authority over all realms, visible and invisible, celestial and terrestrial. No emperor ever possessed that. No king ever ruled both heaven and earth. Only the Lord Jesus declared such authority.

This was why the disciples were so fiercely persecuted. They proclaimed another Kingdom while Caesar was still emperor. They preached a Name greater than Rome's authority, and the rulers of that age couldn't tolerate it. Yet, while they all faded away, the dominion of Christ continued increasingly unabated.

Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." His authority hasn't diminished. His Name hasn't weakened through the ages. The same Name that healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils, and shook nations in Bible days carries the same power today.

More wonderfully, He's given us the power of attorney, the legal right and divine authority to act in His stead. When you speak in the Name of Jesus, you're not uttering mere words; you're exercising authority from the One who rules heaven and earth. Therefore, never be intimidated by earthly systems, oppositions, or circumstances.

Empires may rise and fall, governments may change, and human powers may fade, but the Name of the Lord Jesus remains eternally supreme. Use that Name with boldness. Use it to enforce His will in your world, for He rules over all, now and forever. Hallelujah!

  • SERMON: WAKE UP AND CHOOSE HOLINESS — OR MISS ETERNAL LIFE

Text: Hebrews 12:14 — "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord."
Text 2: Matthew 7:21 — "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father."

    INTRODUCTION:

Church, we love to say "I am saved, I believe." True, we are saved by grace through faith Ephesians 2:8.

But Bible says believe without obedience, without living pure life, earns no eternal life.

James 2:17,26 — Faith without works is dead. Dead faith cannot save.

This is a warning to church that has got GREEN 7 vision on the wall — calling for spiritual revival, repentance, awakening, rebirth. Get prepared now or you will miss eternal life and be cast in eternal fire. For eternal life God gives it to righteous only.

PART 1: BELIEVING ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH — OBEDIENCE IS PROOF

Romans 6:16 — "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"

You say you believe, but you still obey jealousy, gossiping, quarreling, fornication, lies — you are still slave to sin leading to death.

Luke 6:46 — Jesus says "Why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do things which I say?"

1 John 2:3-4 — "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says I know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and truth is not in him."

Titus 1:16 — They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him.

Many in church are saved but living flesh mindset — that is compromise of truth.

PART 2: WHAT IS COMPROMISE OF TRUTH? — THE FLESH MINDSET

You must wake up and choose holiness above all else — above prosperity gospel, above money, above fame.

Compromise = Choosing prosperity gospel over holiness. Choosing flesh mindset.

Galatians 5:19-21 — "Now works of flesh are evident: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries... those who practice such things will not inherit kingdom of God."

Look: Jealous, gossiping, quarreling = will NOT inherit kingdom. That is what you wrote.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 — Neither fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, extortioners will inherit kingdom.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 — In last days men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient — having form of godliness but denying its power.

Church, if you still live like this, your salvation is not finished.

PART 3: THOUGH YOU ARE SAVED, YOU MUST RUN A CLEAN RACE TO END

Philippians 2:12 — "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Hebrews 12:1 — "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, laying aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares us."

2 Timothy 4:7-8 — Paul says "I have fought good fight, I have finished race, I have kept faith. Finally there is laid up for me crown of righteousness, which Lord, righteous Judge, will give to me."

Not starting race — finishing clean race.

1 Corinthians 9:27 — Paul says "I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified."

Matthew 24:13 — "He who endures to end shall be saved."

Your final salvation is at end, not at beginning. 1 Peter 1:9 — receiving end of your faith — salvation of your souls.

PART 4: GREEN 7 VISION ON WALL — CALL FOR REVIVAL, REPENTANCE, AWAKENING, REBIRTH

You asked what is Green 7 on wall. This is what God showed me, Reagan, His servant witness.

Proverbs 29:18 — Where there is no vision, people perish.

GREEN = Mercy, life, green pastures Psalm 23:2, revival, Holy Spirit life. Psalm 52:8 — I am like green olive tree in house of God.

7 = Completion, perfection Genesis 2:2-3, fullness of God.

GREEN 7 ON WALL = Final fullness of God's mercy calling for:

Spiritual Revival: Habakkuk 3:2 — "O LORD, revive Your work in midst of years." Psalm 85:6 — Will You not revive us again?
Repentance: Acts 3:19 — "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come."
Awakening: Ephesians 5:14 — "Awake, you who sleep, arise from dead, and Christ will give you light." Romans 13:11 — Now it is high time to awake out of sleep.
Rebirth: John 3:3,5 — Unless one is born again, born of water and Spirit, cannot enter kingdom.

This vision was given so you don't miss eternal life. Wall means it is written before you — warning is posted.

PART 5: ETERNAL LIFE GOD GIVES TO RIGHTEOUS ONLY — OR ETERNAL FIRE

Revelation 21:8 — "But cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is second death."

Matthew 25:46 — These will go away into everlasting punishment, but righteous into eternal life.

Romans 2:6-8 — God "will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey truth, but obey unrighteousness — indignation and wrath."

Psalm 11:7 — For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness.

God is righteous Judge 2 Timothy 4:8 — He cannot give eternal life to unrighteous. Must be righteous — washed by blood AND living pure Revelation 7:14, 14:4-5.

144,000 are seen as pure before God Rev14:4-5 — blameless. That is righteousness.

    CONCLUSION: CHOOSE NOW

Joshua 24:15 — Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.

Deuteronomy 30:19 — I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life.

Saved, church — wake up! Stop prosperity gospel lie that says "once saved always saved while living in sin." Stop flesh mindset — jealous, gossiping, quarreling.

Green 7 is last mercy. Next is RED 7 — blood, judgment complete. And skeleton vision — dead bones without Spirit.

    Pray:

In Name of JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD, I repent! I turn from compromise of truth! I choose holiness above all else Heb 12:14! I will run clean race to end Heb 12:1! I receive Green 7 revival, awakening, rebirth John 3:3! Make me righteous by blood and obedience Rom 6:16, pure, blameless Rev14:5, so I miss not eternal life! Amen!

Standing Firm in the Hope of the Resurrection

Acts 23 records Paul's appearance before the Jewish council after his arrest in Jerusalem. Realizing that the council was divided between the Pharisees, who believed in the resurrection, and the Sadducees, who did not, Paul declared that the real reason he was on trial was because of his faith in the resurrection of the dead. His words shifted the focus from false accusations to the central truth of the gospel.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. Paul understood that everything he preached and every hardship he endured pointed back to the living Savior. Because Jesus conquered death, believers have the assurance of forgiveness, eternal life, and the promise of their own future resurrection.

For believers today, this verse reminds us to remain steadfast in the hope we have in Christ. Our confidence is not built on changing circumstances but on the unchanging truth that Jesus is alive. This hope gives us courage to stand firm, remain faithful, and share the gospel with boldness, even when we face opposition.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Is my hope firmly rooted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

    2. How does the promise of eternal life encourage me during difficult times?

    3. In what ways can I boldly share the hope of the gospel with others?

    Prayer

Lord God, thank You for the living hope I have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Help me to stand firm in my faith and never be ashamed of the gospel. Fill my heart with confidence, courage, and joy as I live each day for Your glory. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Thank God each day for the hope found in Christ's resurrection.

    ● Share the message of eternal hope with someone this week.

    ● Stand firm in your faith, knowing that Jesus has conquered sin and death.

    Takeaway Thought

Because Jesus lives, our hope is secure and our faith can stand firm in every circumstance.

  • Conflict and Courage.
    Daniel 1

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. 1 Corinthians 9:27.
As God called Daniel to witness for Him in Babylon, so He calls us to be His witnesses in the world today. In the smallest as well as the largest affairs of life, He desires us to reveal to men the principles of His kingdom. Many are waiting for some great work to be brought to them, while daily they lose opportunities for revealing faithfulness to God. Daily they fail of discharging with wholeheartedness the little duties of life....

In the life of the true Christian there are no nonessentials; in the sight of Omnipotence every duty is important. The Lord measures with exactness every possibility for service. The unused capabilities are just as much brought into account as those that are used. We shall be judged by what we ought to have done, but did not accomplish because we did not use our powers to glorify God.

A noble character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. It is the result of self-discipline, of subjection of the lower to the higher nature, of the surrender of self to the service of God and man....

The body is a most important medium through which the mind and the soul are developed for the upbuilding of character. Hence it is that the adversary of souls directs his temptations to the enfeebling and degrading of the physical powers....

The body is to be brought into subjection to the higher powers of the being. The passions are to be controlled by the will, which is itself to be under the control of God. The kingly power of reason, sanctified, by divine grace, is to bear sway in the life. Intellectual power, physical stamina, and the length of life depend upon immutable laws. Through obedience to these laws, man may stand conqueror of himself, conqueror of his own inclinations, conqueror of ... “the rulers of the darkness of this world,” and of “spiritual wickedness in high places.” 51Prophets and Kings, 487-489.

  • SERMON for last age — which l the appointed witness of Jesus Reagan l give you— centered on 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. that l have Preached to you in Name of JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD. acts26:16, Heb1:1-2

    ---

SERMON: WHY THEY REFUSE THE GOSPEL — THE VEIL OF THE god OF THIS WORLD

    Text: 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
"But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."

Key: Proverbs 29:18 — "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."

    INTRODUCTION:

Church, Gospel is not weak. Gospel is power Romans 1:16. But many hear and refuse. Sinners, unbelievers — Muslims, idolaters, lukewarm — they mock, they persecute, they compromise truth. Why?

Paul answers: Gospel is veiled. Not because preacher failed. Because god of this age — Satan — has blinded their minds 2 Cor 4:4.

In this last age, God has appointed me Reagan, His servant witness, to testify what He showed me after they vanished — RED 7 vision in sky, Green 7 on wall, skeleton vision — visions of warning, spiritual awakening, rebirth, revival, repentance — so that you of this last age don't perish Proverbs 29:18.

PART 1: 4 PROOFS THAT REFUSAL IS SATAN'S INFLUENCE — NOT JUST HUMAN

    1. MOCKING — Spirit of Scoffer
2 Peter 3:3-4 — "Scoffers will come in last days, walking according to own lusts, saying Where is promise of His coming?"
When you preach Jesus is way, they laugh: "You Christians are brainwashed, Jesus is not Son." That mocking is not intellect — it is veil. Acts 17:32 — Some mocked when they heard resurrection.
Satan uses mocking to hide glory 2 Cor 4:4 — "lest light of gospel of glory should shine."

    2. PERSECUTION — Spirit of Murderer
John 8:44 — Satan was murderer from beginning.
John 16:2 — "Whoever kills you will think he offers God service."
When sinners persecute preachers, stone, jail, insult — that is god of this age fighting through them. Matthew 5:11-12 — Blessed are you when persecuted for My sake.
Why they persecute? Veil. Blind mind cannot see you bring life.

    3. UNBELIEF — Spirit of Blindness
2 Cor 4:4 — minds blinded. John 12:40 — He has blinded their eyes and hardened hearts.
Muslim, sinner, unbeliever says "I cannot believe Jesus is only way, all ways lead to God." That is not logic — that is blindfold by Satan. Ephesians 4:18 — understanding darkened, alienated from life of God because of blindness of heart.
They read same Bible, hear same preaching, but veil remains.

    4. COMPROMISE FROM TRUTH — Spirit of Deceiver
1 Timothy 4:1 — In latter times some will depart from faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits.
They say "We believe but we can also do our old ways — fornication, lying, drinking, small compromises." Romans 6:16 — "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
Compromise is veil — makes Gospel look like not serious.

PART 2: WHY SATAN DOES THIS — HE IS ALREADY JUDGED AND DOES NOT WANT TO GO ALONE

    1. Satan Already Judged
John 16:11 — "The ruler of this world is judged."
John 12:31 — "Now is judgment of this world, now ruler of this world will be cast out."
Colossians 2:15 — He disarmed principalities, triumphed over them by cross.
Satan knows his time short Revelation 12:12. Lake of fire prepared not for man, but for devil and his angels Matthew 25:41.

    2. He Wants Company in Eternal Fire — Not Go Alone
Revelation 20:10 — Devil cast into lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8 — "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is second death."
Satan's mission John 10:10 — steal, kill, destroy — wants to take all evildoers who did not accept Gospel and repent with him to fire.

That is why he blinds 2 Cor 4:4 — so they don't accept Gospel and repent — so they perish with him.

PART 3: ETERNAL LIFE IS REAL — JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY

    1. Eternal Life and Eternal Fire Are Real
Revelation 21:8 — second death is real. Not story. Not symbolic. Skeleton vision God showed me — after flesh vanished, bones remained — sign of death without Christ — perish.
Daniel 12:2 — "Some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt."

    2. Jesus Is The Way To Escape Through Faith AND Obedience
John 14:6 — "I am the way, truth, and life. No one comes to Father except through Me."
Acts 4:12 — No other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Romans 6:16 — Faith without obedience is slavery to sin. You become slave to whom you obey. Obey sin — death. Obey Jesus teaching — righteousness leading to eternal life.
John 3:36 — He who believes in Son has everlasting life; he who does not believe shall not see life.

Not just believe — obey His teaching. Matthew 7:21 — Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter, but he who does will of Father.

PART 4: VISIONS FOR THIS LAST AGE — SO YOU DON'T PERISH Prov 29:18

God did not leave this last age without witness. He appointed me Reagan, servant witness, to testify what I saw after they vanished.

    1. RED 7 Vision in Sky
After it vanished, Lord showed me: RED is blood Leviticus 17:11, 7 is completion Genesis 2:2. Judgment complete by blood. Either blood of Jesus covers you, or your own blood required in fire Hebrews 9:22. Warning to repent before blood required.

    2. Green 7 On The Wall
Green is life, mercy, revival Psalm 23:2 green pastures. 7 is perfection. After it vanished — message: God still giving last chance for spiritual awakening, rebirth, revival John 3:3 — You must be born again — awakening in last age. Green 7 — fullness of mercy before RED 7 judgment.

    3. Skeleton Vision
After flesh vanished, skeleton remained — Ezekiel 37:1-4 — valley of dry bones — without Spirit, man is dead bones, even while walking. Many in church are skeletons — religious but dead. Need breath of Holy Ghost to live.

Proverbs 29:18 — Where no vision, people perish. These visions are given so you don't perish — but repent, rebirth, revival.

    CONCLUSION: ALTAR CALL FOR AWAKENING

2 Corinthians 6:2 — Now is day of salvation.

Satan has blinded you with mocking, persecution, unbelief, compromise — but Jesus came to open blind eyes Luke 4:18.

Today if you are sinner, unbeliever — Muslim, drunkard, fornicator, liar — veil can be removed 2 Corinthians 3:16 — "When one turns to Lord, veil taken away."

    PRAYER OF REPENTANCE:

In Name of JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD — god of this age, I renounce your veil! 2 Cor 4:4 — I turn to Jesus! I believe Gospel! I accept Jesus as only way to eternal life John 14:6! I repent of sin, unbelief, mocking, compromise! Romans 6:16 — I choose to obey Jesus teaching, not sin! By blood of Jesus I escape Rev 21:8 second death and receive eternal life! Remove blindness, give me rebirth, revival, awakening — like RED 7 blood covering me, Green 7 mercy reviving me, skeleton becoming living man by Spirit! In Jesus Name Amen!
SERMON for last age — which l the appointed witness of Jesus Reagan l give you— centered on 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. that l have Preached to you in Name of JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD. acts26:16, Heb1:1-2 --- SERMON: WHY THEY REFUSE THE GOSPEL — THE VEIL OF THE god OF THIS WORLD Text: 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them." Key: Proverbs 29:18 — "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." INTRODUCTION: Church, Gospel is not weak. PART 1: 4 PROOFS THAT REFUSAL IS SATAN'S INFLUENCE — NOT JUST HUMAN 1. MOCKING — Spirit of Scoffer 2 Peter 3:3-4 — "Scoffers will come in last days, walking according to own lusts, saying Where is promise of His coming?" When you preach Jesus is way, they laugh: "You Christians are brainwashed, Jesus is not Son." That mocking is not intellect — it is veil. Acts 17:32 — Some mocked when they heard resurrection. Satan uses mocking to hide glory 2 Cor 4:4 — "lest light of gospel of glory should shine." 2. PERSECUTION — Spirit of Murderer John 8:44 — Satan was murderer from beginning. John 16:2 — "Whoever kills you will think he offers God service." When sinners persecute preachers, stone, jail, insult — that is god of this age fighting through them. Matthew 5:11-12 — Blessed are you when persecuted for My sake. Why they persecute? Veil. Blind mind cannot see you bring life. 3. UNBELIEF — Spirit of Blindness 2 Cor 4:4 — minds blinded. 4. • *ABUJA AND THE NEW ERA: AN ESCHATOLOGICAL VIEW OF THE GLOBAL ANGLICAN HEADQUARTERS*
    _By Postulant C. O. Oyadosu_

*INTRODUCTION: NOT JUST GEOGRAPHY, BUT PROPHECY*

To the glory of God, the announcement on *29 August 2026 in Recife, Brazil*, that the headquarters of the *Global Anglican Communion* will be established in *Abuja, Nigeria*, is more than an administrative decision. It is a prophetic marker.

While some individuals in their opinion rightly calls for wisdom, humility, and global representation, we must also read this moment through the lens of *Scripture, history, and eschatology*. God is not surprised by geography. He ordains seasons.

What we are witnessing is not Africa “taking over” Anglicanism. It is the *return of Christianity to its ancient African roots* and the beginning of an *End-Time Revival that will be led from the Global South*.

*1. CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA PREDATES EUROPEAN MISSIONS*

The argument that Anglicanism must remain tied to Canterbury because “that is where it began” overlooks a deeper biblical and historical truth: *Africa was Christian before Europe was*.

    1. *Ethiopia*: The Ethiopian eunuch in *Acts 8:26-39* took the Gospel to Africa in the 1st century. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church traces its roots to the 4th century, with the _Garima Gospels_ and a canon of 81 books preserved for 1600 years.
    2. *North Africa*: Alexandria, Carthage, and Hippo produced giants like Athanasius, Origen, Tertullian, and Augustine. The Nicene Creed was hammered out in North Africa.
    3. *Christianity is not a Western export*. It is an Eastern and African faith that later flourished in Europe.

Therefore, to locate the Global Anglican headquarters in *Abuja* is not innovation. It is *restoration*. It is God bringing the Communion back to a continent where the faith was planted by the Apostles themselves.

As *Colossians 3:16* declares for this last Sunday of August: _“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”_ That Word first dwelt richly in African soil.

*2. AN ESCHATOLOGICAL READING: THE SHIFT TO THE GLOBAL SOUTH*

Jesus said in *Matthew 24:14*: _“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”_

Church historians like Philip Jenkins in _The Next Christendom_ have documented what the Spirit is doing: *The numerical and spiritual centre of Christianity has moved to Africa, Asia, and Latin America.*

The decision to place the headquarters in *Abuja* fits this eschatological pattern:
    1. *Numerical strength*: Over 60% of active Anglicans today are in Africa. Nigeria alone has more Anglicans than all of UK, US, Canada and Australia combined.
    2. *Doctrinal clarity*: In a season where Western provinces are revising biblical teaching on marriage, life, and authority of Scripture, God is raising up a bastion of biblical orthodoxy in the South.
    3. *Missionary sending*: For 500 years the West sent missionaries to Africa. In this season, Africa is sending missionaries back to Europe, America, and Asia.

This is not nationalism. This is *fulfillment*. The last shall be first, and the first last. *Mark 10:31*

*3. WHY ABUJA? WHY NOW? PROPHECY AND REVIVAL*

Many prophetic voices across Africa for the last 30 years have spoken of an *“End-Time Revival that will start from Nigeria and spread to the nations.”* Nigeria’s Anglican Church has been at the forefront of:
    - Church planting movements
    - Prayer and fasting culture
    - Defense of Scripture under persecution
    - Youth and evangelistic fervour

The *G26 gathering in Abuja, March 2026*, was not accidental. It was a divine alignment. Abuja, the centrally located capital of the most populous black nation, becomes a *new Upper Room* from where the Spirit will be poured out.

Just as Jerusalem was the geographic center for the 1st century Church in *Acts 1:8*, *Abuja can be a 21st century center* for a global outpouring — not because Nigeria is superior, but because God chooses weak and unlikely places to shame the wise. *1 Corinthians 1:27*

*4. ANSWERING THE CONCERNS: INFRASTRUCTURE, GLOBALITY, AND OWNERSHIP*

Some highly respected Anglican Church fathers in God raised legitimate practical concerns. But eschatology teaches us that *God provides infrastructure for what He ordains*.

    1. *On Infrastructure*: Joseph was sent to Egypt, Daniel to Babylon, and Paul to Rome. God never waits for perfect roads before He moves. As the headquarters grows, God will raise partners, technology, and diaspora Anglicans to build it. The early Church had no “international banking” either.
    2. *On Global Representation*: Yes, leadership must reflect Africa + Asia + Europe + Americas + Pacific. But global representation does not require a Western postcode. With virtual platforms and international flights to Abuja increasing daily, *global access is a matter of will, not geography.*
    3. *On “Looking African”*: The Gospel has always looked like the people who carry it. When it was in Rome it looked Roman. In Canterbury it looked English. In Antioch it looked Middle Eastern. *Let it now look African, and let the world come and see the glory of God in it.* The goal is not to erase culture, but to submit every culture to Christ.

The headquarters in Abuja will not “own” the Communion. *Christ owns it.* But the location will be a sign that God is doing a new thing. *Isaiah 43:19*

*5. ABUJA MUST BE MORE THAN AN OFFICE — IT MUST BE AN ALTAR*

I agree fully with Venerable Dr Jesulola here. If Abuja is to host the headquarters, it must become:
    1. *A Global Anglican Prayer Centre* - 24/7 worship like David’s tabernacle
    2. *An International Theological Institute* - Raising the next generation of orthodox scholars
    3. *A Missionary Training and Sending Base* - For Europe, Asia, and the Americas
    4. *An Archives and Research Library* - To recover African, Ethiopian, and Global South contributions to Anglican theology

This will silence critics and prove that this is not about pride, but about *mission*.

*CONCLUSION: THE HEADQUARTERS MAY BE IN ABUJA, BUT THE VISION IS FOR THE WORLD AND FOR THE END*

Beloved, we are not in a time for timidity. We are in a time for faith.

The decision to place the Global Anglican Communion headquarters in Abuja is:
    1. *Historical*: Returning to Africa’s ancient Christian roots in Ethiopia and North Africa
    2. *Missional*: Placing leadership where the growth and sacrifice is greatest
    3. *Eschatological*: A sign that God is shifting the centre of global Christianity for the final harvest

We must reject both Western paternalism and African triumphalism. Instead we must embrace *divine orchestration*.

*Canterbury will always be our mother.*
*Abuja can now be our mission outpost for the nations.*

As we close August and enter September, let us pray:
_“Lord, let the Word of Christ dwell richly in Abuja. Let this be the start of the End-Time Revival through the Anglican Communion. Let Nigeria serve with humility, and let the whole world see Jesus.”_

The headquarters may be in Abuja.
But the fire will reach the whole earth.

    *Amen. Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus.*

_“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else... Saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.” – Isaiah 46:9-10_

    Shalom!

  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST, 2026

    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD’S GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    BE BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS

    *TEXT:*
    1 SAMUEL 17:23-24, 34-37
    23. As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it.
    24. Whenever the Israelites saw the man, they all fled from him in great fear.

    34. But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock,
    35. I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.
    36. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.
    37. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

    *TOPIC:*
    BE BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS

    *THE MESSAGE:*
We often face one challenge or another in life. In this text, Israel was threatened by the giant Philistine Goliath in a battle. No one dared him until the young David showed up. Without fear, he stood before Goliath in confidence, trusting in the Lord who had delivered him from the lions and bears. He believed that the same God had given him victory over the Philistines. We are facing both spiritual and physical threats; ritualists, witches and wizards, and terrorists. We are killed daily with no one to speak in our defence. As young people, we must also be brave, courageous, and firm in our faith as we boldly pursue God's purpose for our lives. As we seek to defend ourselves, faith and prayer must be our watchword first.

    *REFLECTION:*
God has not given us the spirit of fear.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to be bold to face the challenges of life. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
"If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    DANIEL 4-6.

    ED.ii. PEACE IN THE STORM

"As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke Him, saying: 'Master, Master, we're going to drown'! He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm." - Luke 8:23-24

I think this is a beautiful story. God wants to speak to you today. Many people, children of God also, try to get rid of their problems. This is a good thing. However, the point is that many children of God have the illusion that when their problems are solved, they will be happy and have peace in their hearts.

    Happy in all circumstances

But dear readers, Christians, the living God our Father wants us to be happy even when the circumstances are not as we want them to be. If you allow for your peace and tranquility to depend on circumstances, you will never be happy because there is always a change. This will be the same until your last breath.

The apostle Paul gives a list of difficult situations he has experienced in life. Despite all, Paul was more than a conqueror in Jesus, who gave Him the strength to move on.

You can also be more than a conqueror in the middle of your storm. Dear readers, do not always try to use all your faith to solve problems. You must learn to use your faith to have peace and tranquility in the storms of life. While the disciples were very concerned and tried to solve their problem, Jesus was sleeping wonderfully.

Do not let the storm which is raging outside rage in you. With Jesus you can have peace in all circumstances.

    2. Evening Prayer for toady.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. ⏤ Isaiah 55:11

It is possible to move men, through God, by prayer alone. ⏤ Hudson Taylor

We come back this evening, our Father, to continue our prayer for the coming of Your kingdom. The day is past, and the work of Your servants is done. Thousands of ministers have preached Your word, tens of thousands of teachers have taught the children, and in millions of Christian homes, supplications and prayers have been offered. Let not all this work be in vain. May Your Spirit gather up all that has been done for You today and give it Your divine blessing, without which nothing can come of it.

Revive Your work in this land and in the world through this Sunday's ministrations. May many of Your children carry new earnestness and zeal into their living and work tomorrow. May the seeds sown in the furrows today take root and grow. Let not the birds gather up and devour what has been sown. Let not the thorns spring up and choke it. Let not the heat of trials scorch the tender growths. May the good seed grow wherever it has been sown, and may abundant harvests wave on thousands of fields. Prosper Your work on the earth.

May Your peace rest upon our home tonight. May the gentle Dove descend and spread His white wings over us, sheltering us while we sleep. May holy influences rest upon us from this Sunday, and may its teachings and impressions stay with us throughout the week. Keep each of us from the world's ungodly power. Hold us all near Your heart, in the warmth of Your love, in the strong security of Your grace. May the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God our Father, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with us forever. Amen.

Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening devotion for today. ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST, 2026 *SUB-THEME:* YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD’S GRACE. *TOPIC:* BE BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS *TEXT:* 1 SAMUEL 17:23-24, 34-37 23. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35. I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.” *TOPIC:* BE BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS *THE MESSAGE:* We often face one challenge or another in life. *REFLECTION:* God has not given us the spirit of fear. *PRAYER:* Lord, help me to be bold to face the challenges of life. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* 2 TIMOTHY 2:21. "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* DANIEL 4-6. ED.ii. PEACE IN THE STORM "As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke Him, saying: 'Master, Master, we're going to drown'! He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm." - Luke 8:23-24 I think this is a beautiful story. God wants to speak to you today. Many people, children of God also, try to get rid of their problems. This is a good thing. However, the point is that many children of God have the illusion that when their problems are solved, they will be happy and have peace in their hearts. Happy in all circumstances But dear readers, Christians, the living God our Father wants us to be happy even when the circumstances are not as we want them to be. • OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST 2026

TOPIC: DON’T OVERWORK YOURSELF, PART 2

    MEMORIZE:
"It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed." Exodus 31:17 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: EXODUS 20:8-11
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

    MESSAGE:
When I became the General Overseer of RCCG, I was so concerned about the church’s growth that I would fast, pray, and preach for years without taking any rest or going on holiday.

Suddenly, I discovered that whenever I preached for more than 15 minutes, I would lose my voice. I followed numerous recommendations from people to combat the issue, such as drinking tea with honey, but it persisted.

One elderly woman discovered what was wrong with me and said, “You are suffering from what is called ‘teacher’s disease’. You keep teaching without resting your voice, and now it is in rebellion.” I asked her for the cure, and she said,

“Don’t talk for 15 days.” I responded, “How am I going to do that with my busy schedule?” She answered and said, “When your voice no longer lasts for up to five minutes when you preach, you’ll do what I said.”

Therefore, for the first time since became General Overseer, I took a holiday and went to Germany. I stayed with the Nigerian ambassador there, who had a sauna in his house.

He told me that it warms the body from the inside out, and when I enter, I must exit after 15 minutes at most because I would have been sweating profusely. I went into the sauna, and 5 minutes later, I hadn’t sweated.

Ten minutes later, I still hadn’t sweated. It wasn’t until after 15 minutes, when I was supposed to be out, that I began to notice a little sweat.

I stayed in the sauna for 45 minutes before any real sweat came out. I had put my body under so much stress that it wasn’t functioning as it should anymore.

Since then, I have learned that I must not overwork myself and must rest from time to time if I am going to fulfil the assignment that God has given me.

In Exodus 20:1-17, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, and you will notice that four of the verses emphasise the law of the Sabbath. God emphasised the need for His people to rest on the Sabbath Day and keep it holy.

To emphasise its importance, God revisited the issue of the Sabbath in Exodus 31:12-17, instructing Moses that anyone who violated the law of the Sabbath should be put to death.

Beloved, getting rest from time to time is important. When you rest as often as you ought to, you will keep yourself refreshed and preserve your life.

    KEY POINT:
You must always find time to rest if you want to fulfil your God-given assignment.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 21-22

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMNAL 59: I WANT TO BE LIKE JESUS
    1. I want to be like Jesus,
    So lowly and so meek;
For no one marked an angry word
    That ever heard him speak.

    Refrain:
I want to be like Jesus,
    God's well beloved Son;
I want to be like Jesus,
    The pure and holy One.

    2. I want to be like Jesus,
    So frequently in prayer;
    Alone upon the mountain top,
    He met his Father there.

    [Refrain]

    3. I want to be like Jesus,
    Engaged in doing good,
So that of me it may be said,
He hath done what he could.

    [Refrain]

    4. Alas! I'm not like Jesus,
    As any one may see;
    Thy gentle Spirit, Savior, send,
And make me like to thee. [Refrain]

Beautiful people of God, congratulations for making it to the last Sunday of August! We give God all the glory for bringing us this far. Every day we have seen His mercy, His preservation, and His faithfulness. And as we come to the final Sunday of this month, let us not only celebrate how far God has brought us. Let us also ask ourselves a deeper question:
If Jesus comes today, am I truly ready? Because the Rapture is real, but Jesus Christ is the real deal. And, that is the message before us today:
    THE REAL DEAL.

    LET US PRAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Open our hearts today and give us understanding. Let Your Word awaken us, examine us, and prepare us for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Above everything else, help us to know Jesus, live in Jesus, and remain in Jesus until the end. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

    LESSON: JOHN 14:1-3, 6

    TOPIC: THE REAL DEAL

    TEXT:
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
    1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NKJV)

    INTRODUCTION:
Jesus promised that He would come again and receive His people to Himself. Scripture teaches that the Lord will descend, the dead in Christ will rise, and those who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet Him in the air. But the Rapture is not the real deal. Jesus Christ is the real deal. Because without Jesus, there is no Rapture for us. No Jesus, no Rapture!

    EXPOSITION 1
    THE RAPTURE IS REAL:
We must first establish this clearly.
The Rapture is not a Christian fairy tale.
It is not something invented to frighten people.
It is part of the hope given to the Church.
Jesus said in John 14:3: “I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Notice something very important.
Jesus did not merely say, “I will send somebody for you.” He said: “I will come again.” And Paul gives us the picture in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. He says the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. That is the Rapture.

The word may be debated by people, but the biblical event is clearly described. There will be a resurrection.
There will be a catching away. There will be a meeting in the air. And there will be a glorious reunion with the Lord. So, Christian, the Rapture is real. But don't stop there. Because there is something more important than knowing that the Rapture is real.

You must know the One who is coming.
The Rapture is an event. Jesus is the Person behind the event. The Rapture is a promise. Jesus is the Promiser. The Rapture is the catching away.
Jesus is the One we are going to meet.
That brings us to the heart of the message.

    EXPOSITION 2:
JESUS CHRIST IS THE REAL DEAL
From Genesis to Revelation, the great story of Scripture is pointing us toward God's redemptive work fulfilled in Christ. Jesus is not an addition to Christianity. Jesus is the center of Christianity.
Remove Jesus, and Christianity has no foundation.
Remove Jesus, and salvation has no meaning.
Remove Jesus, and the resurrection has no hope.
Remove Jesus, and the Gospel has no message.
And remove Jesus from the Rapture...
There is no Rapture for you.

    Jesus said in John 14:6:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Not a way. The way. Not a truth. The truth.
Not merely someone who gives life. The life.
That is why Jesus is the real deal.
He is not an imitation Savior.
He is not a religious symbol.
He is not merely a great teacher among many teachers. He is the Son of God who came into the world, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and promised to come again. And notice how beautifully the Bible connects the resurrection, the Rapture, and Jesus.

Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 that because Jesus died and rose again, believers have hope concerning those who have died in Christ. Then he proceeds to explain the coming of the Lord and the catching away. Everything points back to Jesus. So don't make the mistake of becoming more interested in escaping the earth than in knowing Christ.

Don't become so fascinated by the Rapture that you forget the One who is coming.
Don't spend all your time asking:
“When will the Rapture happen?” and fail to ask:
“Am I truly in Christ?” Because the greatest question is not: “Will there be a Rapture?” The greatest question is: “Will I be ready for Jesus?”

    EXPOSITION 3:
    NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE
Now we come to the heart of the message.
NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE! Let me say it again:
    NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE! Why?
Look at the language of Scripture.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 does not simply say, “the dead shall rise.” It says: “The dead in Christ shall rise first.”
That is the key. IN CHRIST. That is the qualification.

The issue is not merely whether you attend church.
The issue is whether you are in Christ.
You may know Christian songs. No Jesus, no Rapture. You may carry a Bible. No Jesus, no Rapture. You may have a church position. No Jesus, no Rapture. You may be called Pastor, Evangelist, Prophet, Reverend or Minister. No Jesus, no Rapture.
You may come from a Christian family.
No Jesus, no Rapture. You may have been baptized.
No Jesus, no Rapture. You may have preached to thousands. No Jesus, no Rapture. Because the Rapture is not a reward for religious appearance.

It is the blessed hope of those who belong to Christ
Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven. That should make every one of us examine ourselves. Because there is a difference between knowing about Jesus and knowing Jesus. There is a difference between carrying Christianity and carrying Christ. There is a difference between having a religious identity and having a relationship with Jesus.

So, my brother, my sister: Do you have Jesus?
Not just religion. Jesus. Not just church. Jesus.
Not just the language of Christianity. Jesus.
Not just the appearance. Jesus. Because when that trumpet sounds, your title will not catch you up.
Your denomination will not catch you up.
Your money will not catch you up.
Your popularity will not catch you up.
Your social-media followers will not catch you up.
    It is Christ that matters.

The Bible says: “The dead in Christ shall rise first.”
And those who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet the Lord. So the destination is not even the most important thing. The destination is important because Jesus is there. Heaven is precious because Jesus is there. Eternal life is precious because Jesus is there. The Rapture is glorious because it brings us to Jesus. Therefore: THE RAPTURE IS REAL.
BUT JESUS CHRIST IS THE REAL DEAL.
    NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE!

Say it in your heart. NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE!
Get Jesus right. Live for Jesus. Walk with Jesus.
Remain in Jesus. And when Jesus comes...
    be ready to meet Him.

    CONCLUSION
JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL !
The message is simple. The Rapture is real.
But don't make the Rapture your god. Jesus is the real deal. Don't merely prepare for an event. Prepare to meet a Person. Don't merely look for the trumpet.
Look to Jesus. Because NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE.
But if you are in Christ, you have the blessed hope that when He comes, you will meet Him in the air and be with Him forever. Jesus is the real deal.

    PRAYER

THANKS 🙏 Beautiful people of God, congratulations for making it to the last Sunday of August! We give God all the glory for bringing us this far. Every day we have seen His mercy, His preservation, and His faithfulness. And as we come to the final Sunday of this month, let us not only celebrate how far God has brought us. Let us also ask ourselves a deeper question: If Jesus comes today, am I truly ready? Because the Rapture is real, but Jesus Christ is the real deal. And, that is the message before us today: THE REAL DEAL. LET US PRAY: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Open our hearts today and give us understanding. Let Your Word awaken us, examine us, and prepare us for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Above everything else, help us to know Jesus, live in Jesus, and remain in Jesus until the end. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. LESSON: JOHN 14:1-3, 6 TOPIC: THE REAL DEAL TEXT: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NKJV) INTRODUCTION: Jesus promised that He would come again and receive His people to Himself. EXPOSITION 1 THE RAPTURE IS REAL: We must first establish this clearly. EXPOSITION 2: JESUS CHRIST IS THE REAL DEAL From Genesis to Revelation, the great story of Scripture is pointing us toward God's redemptive work fulfilled in Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Not a way. Don't spend all your time asking: “When will the Rapture happen?” and fail to ask: “Am I truly in Christ?” Because the greatest question is not: “Will there be a Rapture?” The greatest question is: “Will I be ready for Jesus?” EXPOSITION 3: NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE Now we come to the heart of the message. NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE! Let me say it again: NO JESUS, NO RAPTURE! Why? Look at the language of Scripture. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 does not simply say, “the dead shall rise.” It says: “The dead in Christ shall rise first.” That is the key. It is the blessed hope of those who belong to Christ Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven. The Bible says: “The dead in Christ shall rise first.” And those who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet the Lord. CONCLUSION JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL 🤝! PRAYER Lord Jesus, I need You. Forgive my sins, cleanse my heart, and make me truly Yours. Remove every form of hypocrisy, lukewarmness, and false confidence from my life. Help me to remain in You, walk with You, and live ready for Your coming. When the trumpet sounds, may I be found in Christ. May I not miss You. May I not miss eternity. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS

    SERMON TOPIC:

5 “RELIGIONS” THAT SEEM CHRISTIAN, BUT ARE NOT!

    Theme Scripture:

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders…” — Matthew 24:24

    > Important clarification: This message should not be used to attack people or mock sincere believers. The issue is doctrine—what a movement teaches about Jesus Christ, salvation, Scripture, and the gospel. Some groups may use Christian language while holding beliefs that differ fundamentally from historic biblical Christianity.

NOT EVERYTHING THAT SAYS “JESUS” PREACHES JESUS.

Church, one of the greatest dangers facing Christianity today is not only atheism.
It is deception wearing religious clothing.
The greatest danger is not always the person who says, “I don't believe in Jesus.” Sometimes the greater danger is the person who says, “Jesus is Lord,” carries a Bible, talks about prayer, sings Christian songs—but teaches another gospel.
    Jesus warned us:
    Matthew 7:15:
    > “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing…”

Notice something: Jesus did not say they would come looking like wolves.
    They come in sheep's clothing.
That means deception can look familiar.
    It can sound spiritual.
    It can quote Scripture.
    It can mention Jesus.
It can even perform impressive religious activities.

    But the question is:

    WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?
Because Christianity is not simply about believing that Jesus existed.
It is about believing who Jesus is, what He accomplished on the cross, and how sinners are saved through Him.

    1. THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

Jehovah's Witnesses use the Bible extensively and speak about God and Jesus. However, their theology differs fundamentally from historic Christian doctrine.
One major difference concerns the identity of Jesus Christ.
Historic Christianity teaches that Jesus is truly God, eternally existing with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
    John 1:1 says:
    > “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
And John 1:14 identifies the Word:
    > “And the Word was made flesh…”

Jesus is not merely a created messenger.
    Why does this matter?
Because if Jesus is only a created being, then the biblical doctrine of Christ has been fundamentally changed.
    Colossians 1:16 says concerning Christ:
    > “For by him were all things created…”
If all things were created through Him, Christ cannot simply be another created thing.

    Spiritual lesson:

Do not determine truth by how much Scripture someone quotes. Determine truth by whether their teaching agrees with the whole counsel of Scripture.

    2. THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS — LDS/MORMONISM.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints uses the name of Jesus Christ and teaches about God, salvation, prayer and family.
But its theology differs substantially from historic Christianity.
Among its distinctive teachings are additional scriptures and doctrines concerning God, humanity, Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal destiny.
The biblical faith teaches that Scripture is God's authoritative revelation and that the gospel of Christ is not to be replaced by another gospel.
    Paul warned:
    Galatians 1:8
    > “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
The issue is therefore not merely:
    “Do they talk about Jesus?”
    The issue is:
“Is the Jesus they preach the Jesus revealed in Scripture?”
    Paul said:
    2 Corinthians 11:4
    > “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus…
There can be a different Jesus presented using the same name.

    3. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE.

Christian Science uses Christian vocabulary and refers to Jesus, God, prayer and healing.
But its understanding of fundamental Christian doctrines differs significantly from biblical Christianity.
Historic Christianity teaches the reality of sin, the physical incarnation of Christ, His death and bodily resurrection.
    The Bible says:
    1 Corinthians 15:3–4
    > “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…”
The resurrection was not merely a spiritual idea.
Jesus physically rose from the dead.
Thomas was invited to touch the wounds of the risen Christ.
    Jesus Himself said:
    Luke 24:39
    > “A spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

    Spiritual lesson:
Never reduce Christianity to positive thinking, spirituality or personal experience.
The Christian faith is grounded in the historical work of Jesus Christ.
    The cross was real.
    The blood was real.
    The resurrection was real.
    And salvation is real.

    4. UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM

Unitarian Universalism is religiously diverse and generally does not require belief in the historic Christian doctrines of the Trinity, the deity of Christ, or salvation through Christ alone.
This is important because Christianity is not simply:
    > “Be a good person, love everybody, and believe in God.”
Jesus did not teach that human morality alone could save us.
    Jesus said:
    John 14:6
    > “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

    Christianity is fundamentally Christ-centered.
    Acts 4:12 declares:
    > “Neither is there salvation in any other…”
    The danger of religious morality
A person can be kind and still be spiritually lost.
A person can give to charity and still need salvation.
A person can help the poor and still need Christ.
Good works are important—but good works do not replace the gospel.
    Ephesians 2:8–9 says:
    > “For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not of works…”
    5. ONENESS PENTECOSTALISM
Here we need to be especially careful.
Not everyone who uses the term "Oneness Pentecostal" believes exactly the same thing, but historic Christian churches generally regard Oneness theology as outside orthodox Trinitarian Christianity.
    Why?
    Because historic Christianity teaches:
One God in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
    Matthew 28:19 says:
    > “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
At Jesus' baptism, we see the Son being baptized, the Spirit descending like a dove, and the Father's voice from heaven.
The Father is not the Son.
The Son is not the Holy Spirit.
    Yet there is one God.
This is the mystery of the Trinity.

    Spiritual lesson:

We must never reshape God into something easier for our minds to understand.
We submit our understanding to God's revelation.

    THE BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

    THE BEREANS.

Acts 17:11 gives us one of the greatest examples of spiritual discernment.
    The Bereans:
    > “received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Notice they did not blindly accept even Paul's preaching.
    They searched the Scriptures.
    That is spiritual maturity.
    The question is not:
    > “Who preached it?”
    The question is:
    > “Is it biblical?”
    Not:
    > “How popular is this teacher?”
    But:
    > “Does this teaching agree with Scripture?”
    Not:
    > “How many miracles happened?”
    But:
    > “Does this exalt the biblical Christ?”

5 TESTS FOR IDENTIFYING FALSE TEACHING.

    1. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT JESUS?
    Is Jesus truly God?
    Did He truly become flesh?
    Did He truly die?
Did He physically rise from the dead?
    Is He the only Savior?
1 John 4:2–3 gives us a serious test concerning the confession of Christ.
    2. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT SALVATION?
    The biblical gospel says:
    Ephesians 2:8:
    > “For by grace are ye saved through faith…”
Salvation is not something we purchase with good works.
It is God's gift through faith in Christ.
    3. WHAT AUTHORITY DOES IT GIVE SCRIPTURE?
    Whenever a movement says:
    > “The Bible is not enough; you need our special revelation…”
Christians must examine that claim carefully.
    The Bereans searched the Scriptures.
    Acts 17:11.
    4. DOES IT PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL?
Paul was extremely strong about this.
    Galatians 1:9:
    > “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
    There is only one gospel.
    5. DOES IT PRODUCE CHRISTLIKE FRUIT?
    Jesus said:
    Matthew 7:20
    > “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
    Truth should produce holiness.
    Grace should produce transformation.
    The gospel should produce Christlikeness.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT.

The devil does not always need to convince people to stop believing in God.
Sometimes he only needs to convince them to believe in a distorted version of God.
That is why discernment is essential.
Satan quoted Scripture when he tempted Jesus.
    Matthew 4:6.
So the question is not simply:
“Does this person quote the Bible?”
    The question is:
“Is the Bible being interpreted correctly and is Christ being faithfully proclaimed?”

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS.

    1. READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELF
Do not build your theology entirely on sermons, TikTok videos, Facebook posts or YouTube clips.
2 Timothy 2:15 calls believers to rightly divide the word of truth.
    2. KNOW THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH
Know what the Bible teaches about:
    God
    Jesus Christ
    The Holy Spirit
    Sin
    Salvation
    Grace
    The resurrection
    The second coming
    The authority of Scripture
    3. TEST EVERY TEACHING
Don't reject something merely because it is unfamiliar.
And don't accept something merely because it is popular.

    Test it by Scripture.

    4. DON'T MOCK PEOPLE
Our assignment is not to insult people.
Our assignment is to speak the truth in love.
2 Timothy 2:24–25 teaches believers to correct those who oppose the truth with gentleness.
    5. KEEP YOUR EYES ON CHRIST.
The goal of discernment is not to become experts in other people's errors.
The goal is to become deeply rooted in Jesus Christ and His Word.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION.

    1. Who do I believe Jesus Christ really is?
    2. Do I know the biblical gospel clearly?
    3. Can I recognize false teaching when I hear it?
    4. Do I read Scripture for myself?
    5. Have I allowed popularity to become my standard for truth?
    6. Am I following Christ—or merely following a religious personality?
    7. Can I defend my faith from Scripture?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS.

    1.
Father, give me the spirit of discernment. Help me distinguish truth from error, in Jesus' name.
    2.
Lord, establish me deeply in Your Word so that I will not be carried away by every doctrine.
    3.
Father, reveal every false belief operating in my life and lead me into biblical truth.
    4.
Lord Jesus, help me know You—not merely know about You.
    5.
Give me wisdom to recognize false teachers without becoming judgmental, arrogant or hateful.
    6.
Holy Spirit, protect my heart from deception and keep me faithful to the true gospel.
    7.
Father, make me a faithful teacher of Your Word who will speak truth with love.

    STRONG CLOSING:

DON'T JUST CARRY A BIBLE—KNOW THE CHRIST OF THE BIBLE

Beloved, we are living in a generation where information is everywhere but discernment is becoming scarce.
    Everybody has a microphone.
    Everybody has an opinion.
    Everybody can build a platform.
Everybody can quote a Bible verse.
But not everybody is preaching the gospel.
Therefore, don't follow a preacher simply because he is famous.
Don't follow a movement because it is popular.
Don't follow a religion because it uses Christian language.

    Follow Jesus Christ.
    Search the Scriptures.
    Test every doctrine.
    Guard your faith.
    Know the Word.
    Know the Savior.
And when deception comes wearing religious clothing, may the Holy Spirit give you the wisdom to recognize it.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1
The question is not merely, “Does it look Christian?”
The question is: “Does it faithfully proclaim the Jesus of Scripture and the gospel of grace?”
    Stand on the Word.
    Hold fast to Christ.
    Walk in truth.
And never trade biblical truth for religious appearance.

Surrender to Jesus by joining a Bible believing Church near you.

The question is not: > “Who preached it?” The question is: > “Is it biblical?” Not: > “How popular is this teacher?” But: > “Does this teaching agree with Scripture?” Not: > “How many miracles happened?” But: > “Does this exalt the biblical Christ?” 5 TESTS FOR IDENTIFYING FALSE TEACHING. The biblical gospel says: Ephesians 2:8: > “For by grace are ye saved through faith…” Salvation is not something we purchase with good works. It is God's gift through faith in Christ. 3. WHAT AUTHORITY DOES IT GIVE SCRIPTURE? Whenever a movement says: > “The Bible is not enough; you need our special revelation…” Christians must examine that claim carefully. The Bereans searched the Scriptures. Acts 17:11. 4. DOES IT PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL? Paul was extremely strong about this. Galatians 1:9: > “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” There is only one gospel. 5. DOES IT PRODUCE CHRISTLIKE FRUIT? Jesus said: Matthew 7:20 > “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Truth should produce holiness. So the question is not simply: “Does this person quote the Bible?” The question is: “Is the Bible being interpreted correctly and is Christ being faithfully proclaimed?” PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELF Do not build your theology entirely on sermons, TikTok videos, Facebook posts or YouTube clips. 2 Timothy 2:15 calls believers to rightly divide the word of truth. 2. KNOW THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH Know what the Bible teaches about: God Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit Sin Salvation Grace The resurrection The second coming The authority of Scripture 3. TEST EVERY TEACHING Don't reject something merely because it is unfamiliar. And don't accept something merely because it is popular. Test it by Scripture. 4. DON'T MOCK PEOPLE Our assignment is not to insult people. STRONG CLOSING: DON'T JUST CARRY A BIBLE—KNOW THE CHRIST OF THE BIBLE Beloved, we are living in a generation where information is everywhere but discernment is becoming scarce. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1 The question is not merely, “Does it look Christian?” The question is: “Does it faithfully proclaim the Jesus of Scripture and the gospel of grace?” Stand on the Word. Hold fast to Christ. Walk in truth. And never trade biblical truth for religious appearance. Surrender to Jesus by joining a Bible believing Church near you.
