Daily Bible Lesson WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SEALED BY GOD? The Bible describes a final group of people who receive the seal of God before the closing events of earth’s history. Revelation 7:3 “Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” The seal is placed in the forehead — representing the mind, character, and settled decisions of the individual. God’s people are not simply convinced of the truth. They have allowed Christ to complete His work in them. Hebrews 8:10 “I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts.” God’s law is no longer merely something written on stone. It has been written into their hearts and reflected in their lives. Through complete surrender to Christ, sin has been overcome and His character has been reproduced in them. Revelation 14:5 describes this final generation: “And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” They have reached the point where they would rather die than knowingly sin against God. They are settled into the truth — both intellectually and spiritually — so completely that they cannot be moved. This is why Revelation 14:12 says: “Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” The sealing is therefore more than understanding the Sabbath. It is the finishing of Christ’s work in His people. His law is written in their hearts. His character is reflected in their lives. Sin no longer has dominion over them. They stand fully surrendered and faithful to God. Christ is preparing a people who will reflect His character completely before He returns. The question is not only: “Do I know the truth?” The deeper question is: “Am I allowing Christ to reproduce His character in me?”

**God does not hear the prayer of one who prays and stays in sin** Seeking God cannot be an empty gesture. It must come with purpose in the heart, with genuine intention — this is how the prophets sought the Lord's face: *"Then I proclaimed a fast there... that we might afflict ourselves before our God"* (Ezra 8:21). Fasting and prayer are a way of emptying the heart of everything that is sin, so that God has room to speak and act. And God knows the heart — He is not impressed by fasting of the mouth, mere outward appearance, while the heart remains distant (Isaiah 58:3-6). There's a striking episode where a Canaanite woman cries out for help, and Jesus responds in a way that shocks at first: *"It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs"* (Matthew 15:26). The bread — the blessings, the miracles, God's answers — belongs to those who are children. To those who have intimacy, who live inside the Father's house. It's not for those who ask from the outside, living in sin, with no commitment to change. The woman, however, insists with faith and humility, and Jesus recognizes her great faith. The lesson remains the same: the position of a child opens a door that the position of a stranger does not. And that's exactly why Scripture teaches: *"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you"* (Matthew 7:7). That promise is real, but it isn't unconditional — it's for those who live as children, sanctified, truly walking with God. Whoever sanctifies themselves, whoever surrenders their life without reservation, is filled with the Holy Spirit, and whatever they ask within God's will, they will receive, because it is written. But this must be said: *"we know that God heareth not sinners"* (John 9:31). It's no use fasting, weeping, crying out, asking for blessing, while deliberately living in sin with no intention of letting go. God cannot be manipulated by tears or by forced fasting. He waits for the heart — broken, sincere, willing to change. If you want to see God answer your prayers, the path begins before the request: it's sanctification. It's living as a child, not as someone who only wants the crumbs from the table while living far from home. *Remember that the Word of God is a statute.* [all]

Proverbs 10:9 He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known. NKJV Integrity is not a popular word in our culture anymore, but it is still a powerful one in the Kingdom of God. Solomon does not speak about talent, gifting, influence, or success here. He speaks about how a person walks. That tells us something important. God is not only watching where we arrive, He is watching how we live along the way. To walk with integrity means to be whole. The same person in public and in private. The same convictions on Sunday that guide us on Monday. Integrity is not perfection, it is consistency of heart. It is choosing truth even when it costs us something. It is obeying God when no one is applauding. The promise attached to integrity is security. That does not mean a life without storms. It means a life that is steady when storms come. A man or woman of integrity does not live in fear of exposure. They are not constantly explaining themselves, covering tracks, or adjusting stories. There is a quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are walking straight before God. This kind of security produces peace. Peace of mind. Peace of conscience. Peace in prayer. When your heart is clean, you pray boldly. When your walk is upright, you sleep well. When your words and actions agree, your life has weight and credibility. Then Solomon gives the warning. Those who pervert their ways will become known. To pervert means to twist what is straight. It is subtle compromise. Justifying what God has already spoken clearly about. Adjusting truth to fit convenience. It may look hidden for a season, but Scripture is clear. What is twisted will eventually be exposed. This is not God being harsh. This is God being faithful. He exposes what destroys us so it does not destroy us forever. Hidden compromise always comes to light, either through correction or consequence. The lesson is simple but sobering. Integrity protects you in ways money never can. Reputation can be managed, but character cannot. People may not see your integrity right away, but they will always see the fruit of it in time. In a world full of noise, deception, and double standards, God is still calling His people to walk straight. Not loud. Not perfect. Just faithful. Just honest. Just whole. Ask yourself today, not how far have I come, but how am I walking? Is my private life aligned with my confession? Am I obeying God where it matters most? Choose integrity. Walk uprightly. Trust God with the outcome. Security does not come from hiding. It comes from walking in the light before the Lord.

ALL THE ENDS OF THE WORLD SHALL REMEMBER Turn Your Heart Back to God ANCHOR SCRIPTURE Psalm 22:27 (KJV) “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.” 1. REMEMBER GOD Life can make people forget God when things are going well. Never let success make you forget the One who gave you life. 2. TURN TO THE LORD Remembering God must lead to action. When you have gone the wrong way, turn back to Him. It is never too late to return to God. 3. WORSHIP GOD The right response to God's goodness is worship. Worship is more than singing—it is honouring God with your life. 4. GOD'S CALL IS FOR EVERYONE The Scripture speaks of “all the ends of the world” and “all the kindreds of the nations.” God's invitation is not limited to one group. KEY LESSON 1. Remember God. 2. Return to Him. 3. Worship Him. 4. Live for Him. 5. Invite others to know Him. FINAL CHARGE Remember God before life makes you forget Him. Turn to Him before you drift too far. Worship Him while you still have breath. SHORT PRAYER Father, help me never to forget You. Matthew 21:18-27 This passage becomes controversial, not because of any major issue really but because of this fig tree. The Pharisees were all bent out of shape because of the previous day's events, and they were chomping at the bit to get Jesus. So Jesus approaches Jerusalem and was hungry and begins looking for fruit amongst the leaves and He finds none. There are a few issues here. 1. This wasn't the time of year that figs were fruiting on the trees. So some try to say that Jesus should have known there were no figs on this tree and should not have cursed it, because there was never supposed to be figs ready. And this is true, but there are young fig growths that develop into figs later in the season, and there were none of these little nibs either so that's why Jesus cursed the tree. 2. The parallel account in Mark 11. In the parallel account, Jesus goes to the tree, finds no fruit and curses it, the disciples and Jesus enter Jerusalem and only notice the withered tree as they are leaving the city later that day. So why is one instantaneous reaction and the other isn't? We need to stop imposing 21st century rules of Grammar on ancient texts. Mark wasn't obligated to present events in the same manner as Matthew. The emphasis should be on the lesson, not the timing. Mark wanted to emphasize the trip to Jerusalem before the lesson of the fig tree. Others say that here Jesus is performing a live action parable. Israel is often seen in prophecy and Old Testament scripture as a fig tree. Sometimes it is a healthy fruiting tree, signifying a faithful Israel. At other times it is a dead tree signifying an Israel straying from God. So this trip to Jerusalem is seen as this parable where Jesus approached the tree only to find no fruit. Whether the withering happened immediately or later is not the point. It's entirely possible that the immediate withering was not noticed by some of them until later, or that the entirety of the whole live parable took place for the purpose of teaching this one lesson and the timing is irrelevant. It doesn't change the words of scripture, doesn't alter any teachings in any way. So we need to stop forcing our need for grammatically pat answers on scripture. It is here Jesus says that a prayer offered in faith can have miraculous results. And Jesus uses the example of asking for a mountain to move. Again, the emphasis is on the lesson not the seeming impossibility of the requested event occurring. And sadly, we do not have a biblical example of a physical mountain moving as a result of prayer. This is the same Jesus who raised the dead and cast out demons so moving millions of tons of metric earth is in His wheelhouse. But the lesson is twofold. First, whatever we ask is doable because He is Almighty God. Second, Jesus is approaching Jerusalem toward the end of His earthly ministry expecting a response in the affirmative not because he believed they'd respond but because God promised the nation of Israel that they would have the opportunity to accept the gospel first but would ultimately reject Him. So what is the point behind this lesson? Jesus comes to Jerusalem in His final week, cleanses the temple again, and is literally demonstrating that the fruit (faithfulness and fruit of righteousness) he is wanting to see (nibs) is nowhere to be found on the tree (Israel/Jerusalem). Jesus wasn't surprised that no nibs were available to eat, He wasn't shocked the tree had no fruit, He just made perfect use of an obvious fact to teach a somewhat unobvious truth. [18] Now in the early morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry. [19] And seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves alone; and He *said to it, “No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you.” And at once the fig tree withered. [20] Seeing this, the disciples were amazed and asked, “How did the fig tree wither all at once?” [21] And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. [22] And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive it all.”

Perhaps some lessons made you laugh. Perhaps others challenged you deeply. But remember: Marriage is a journey, not a one-month project. Tomorrow begins another month. There will be new responsibilities. New challenges. New joys. New opportunities to grow. So don't put away what you have learned. Carry it forward. Keep choosing each other. Keep praying together. Keep talking. Keep serving. Keep forgiving. Keep Christ at the centre. And when you stumble, don't assume the journey is over. Get up. Take each other's hands. “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed,” Jesus said. “But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (John 12:24). Christ spoke these words during the week He was killed. It’s a lesson Paul had learned as he wrote to people in danger of relying on keeping the law to earn salvation. In Romans 3:10-20, he outlines why law-keeping will never save us. He then explains that it’s “apart from the law [that] the righteousness of God has been made known” (v. 21). “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (v. 22). He goes on: “Our old self was crucified with him . . . that we should no longer be slaves to sin” (6:6). Because “Christ [lived]” in him (Galatians 2:20), the apostle could live a life honoring to God that would draw others to Christ. Today, God can help us surrender to the Spirit so others will see Christ in us.

*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - MONDAY, 31ST AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*HOLD FAST TO GOD'S WORD*🌟 Last Monday & Last Day of August 📖 Scripture: “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” — Mark 7:9 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Let God's Word Have the Final Authority* In Mark 7, Jesus confronted the religious leaders because they had allowed human traditions to take priority over God's commandments. The problem was not simply tradition itself. Traditions can have value, but they become dangerous when human practices replace God's truth. As we come to the final day of August, this verse invites us to examine our hearts. Are there habits we have become comfortable with that God is asking us to change? Are there opinions, traditions, expectations, or human approval that have become more important to us than obedience to God's Word? Christianity is not merely about outward religious activities. God desires a heart that genuinely loves Him and obeys His Word. As August closes, let us surrender our ways to God and allow His Word to shape our lives in the new month. Don't allow tradition to take the place of transformation. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that God's Word shall have the highest authority in my life. I will not allow human opinions, traditions, pressure, or expectations to take the place of God's truth. I declare that the Lord shall expose anything that has quietly taken His place in my heart. May He remove every idol of human approval, pride, tradition, materialism, fear, or self-will. Today, I surrender my plans and expectations to God. His will shall be greater than my preferences, and His purpose shall be greater than my plans. I declare that my life shall become a testimony of authentic faith—not merely what I say publicly, but what I practice privately. God's Word is my standard. Christ is my Lord. BE OF GOOD CHEER Christ Has Overcome the World ANCHOR SCRIPTURE John 16:33 (KJV) “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” 1. EXPECT CHALLENGES Jesus never promised a trouble-free life. “In the world ye shall have tribulation.” Problems may come, but they don't have the final word. 2. KEEP YOUR PEACE Our peace is found in Christ, not in perfect circumstances. Your situation may shake, but Christ can keep your heart steady. 3. BE OF GOOD CHEER Jesus says, “Be of good cheer.” Don't allow trouble to steal your hope, courage or faith. 4. REMEMBER: JESUS HAS WON “I have overcome the world.” Our confidence is not in ourselves but in the victory of Christ. KEY LESSON 1. Trouble may come. 2. Peace is available in Christ. 3. Don't lose hope. 4. Jesus has already overcome. FINAL CHARGE Don't fear the trouble—remember who has overcome it. Stand firm. Keep your peace. Keep your faith. Be of good cheer.
