One of the greatest gifts you can give your spouse is the gift of being understood. Sometimes we are quick to judge because we see the behaviour but don't know the story behind it. Your husband may come home unusually quiet. Your wife may seem distant. One of you may become impatient over something that normally wouldn't matter. The easy response is: "What's wrong with you?" But love asks a better question: "What is happening with you?" There is a difference. Perhaps your spouse had a difficult day at work. Perhaps something happened that they haven't found the courage to discuss. Perhaps they are simply tired. Understanding doesn't mean agreeing with everything your spouse does. It means taking time to understand the person before passing judgment on the behaviour. Imagine a husband returning home from work in Accra after battling traffic for hours, frustrated and exhausted. His wife notices his silence and immediately assumes, "He's angry with me." But instead of reacting, she asks: "Honey, you've been quiet. Is everything okay?" That simple question may open a door that criticism would have closed. 📖 God's Word "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." — James 1:19 ❤️ Today's Love Action Before making an assumption about your spouse today, ask one gentle question and listen carefully to the answer. 💬 Let's Talk Do I usually try to understand my spouse before I react to their behaviour? 🙏 Prayer Heavenly Father, teach us to listen with patience and understand with compassion. Help us not to judge quickly or assume the worst about one another. Give us hearts that are willing to listen before speaking and understand before reacting. Theme: “Watch and Pray: Finishing the Year Strong in Christ” Key Text: 1 Peter 5:8–9 > “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 🔥 THE YEAR IS NOT OVER YET! Beloved, we have entered the final stretch of the year. The ember months—September, October, November and December—are often associated with celebrations, travelling, weddings, parties, business activities, family gatherings and end-of-year excitement. But as Christians, we must understand something: The end of the year is not a time to become spiritually careless. It is a time to become spiritually alert! Many people become relaxed because they think, “The year is almost over.” But the devil does not take a holiday. Your prayer life must not go on holiday. Your Bible study must not go on holiday. Your holiness must not go on holiday. Your spiritual discernment must not go on holiday. The fact that we are approaching the end of the year does not mean we should lower our spiritual guard. This is the season to watch, pray, discern and finish well! 1. 🛡️ BE SOBER AND VIGILANT. 1 Peter 5:8 Peter says: > “Be sober, be vigilant…” To be sober means to remain spiritually clear-minded. To be vigilant means to remain watchful and alert. A Christian can be physically awake but spiritually asleep. You may attend church and still become spiritually careless. You may carry a Bible and still lose spiritual sensitivity. You may pray yesterday and still need to pray today. The ember months can bring many distractions: Excessive celebrations Ungodly relationships Financial pressure Peer pressure Sexual temptation Substance abuse Unnecessary travelling Reckless spending Internet and social-media distractions Pressure to “make it before the year ends” Do not allow the excitement of the season to silence the voice of the Holy Spirit. 2. 🙏 WATCH AND PRAY Matthew 26:41 > “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…” Notice that Jesus did not say pray without watching. He said: Watch AND pray. Prayer without spiritual alertness can make us careless. Spiritual alertness without prayer can make us powerless. We need both. During these months, increase your prayer life. Pray concerning: Your family Your children Your marriage Your career Your ministry Your finances Your travels Your relationships Your spiritual life The decisions you will make Do not wait until trouble comes before you begin to pray. Prayer is not only a crisis response; prayer is spiritual preparation. 3. 🕯️ DO NOT LET THE SEASON STEAL YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE Romans 12:11 > “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. One danger of the ember months is spiritual fatigue. People become tired and say: > “I have prayed enough this year.” No! You don't retire from your relationship with God because the calendar is approaching December. Your spiritual fire must continue burning. Leviticus 6:13 > “The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Your altar must remain alive. Don't let December find you spiritually empty. Keep reading the Word. Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep serving. Keep witnessing. Keep forgiving. Keep walking in holiness. 4. ⚠️ BE CAREFUL WITH DECISIONS MADE UNDER PRESSURE. The final months of the year can create tremendous pressure. People begin asking: “What have you achieved this year?” “How much money have you made?” “When are you getting married?” “When will you build your house?” “When will you buy a car?” “What are you doing with your life?” Such questions can create comparison and desperation. And desperation can lead people into wrong decisions. Remember: You do not need to destroy your future because you are trying to impress people before December 31. Psalm 37:7 says: > “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him…” Do not enter a wrong relationship because you are afraid of being single. Do not enter fraudulent business because you want quick money. Do not compromise your faith because you want acceptance. Do not abandon God's principles because you feel behind. God's timing is better than human pressure. 5. 🎯 FINISH THE YEAR STRONG. Philippians 3:13–14 Paul says: > “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before…” There is still time. Perhaps January did not go as planned. Maybe February brought disappointment. Maybe March brought unexpected challenges. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe opportunities passed. Maybe you experienced losses. But the year is not over yet. Don't spend the remaining months mourning what went wrong. Ask: > “Lord, what can I still do with the time You have given me?” You can still pray. You can still reconcile. You can still start. You can still learn. You can still serve. You can still evangelize. You can still correct your mistakes. You can still become spiritually stronger. There are still chapters of your story that have not been written. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: NEHEMIAH. Consider Nehemiah. When Nehemiah and the people were rebuilding Jerusalem's wall, their enemies attempted to distract and intimidate them. Nehemiah 4:9 > “Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night…” Look at the balance: They prayed AND they watched. They did not say: > “We are praying, so we don't need to be careful.” Neither did they say: > “We are watching, so we don't need God.” They did both. Prayer + Watchfulness = Spiritual Alertness This is a powerful principle for the ember months. Pray as though everything depends on God. Work and watch as though God expects you to be responsible. 💡 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Not every opportunity is a God-given opportunity. Some opportunities are simply distractions dressed as blessings. Discern before you accept. 2. Not every relationship deserves access to your destiny. Some relationships strengthen your faith. Others weaken it. Watch your associations. 3. The enemy often uses distraction before destruction. He does not always begin with something obviously evil. Sometimes he begins with: > “Just this once.” Then another time. Then another. Eventually, compromise becomes normal. 4. The final months require spiritual discipline, not spiritual panic. Do not wait until December to start asking God to fix everything. Walk with God daily. 5. Your greatest victory may be finishing faithfully. Not everyone who starts well finishes well. Your goal should not simply be: > “I want to end the year wealthy.” Say: > “I want to end the year closer to God, stronger in faith, cleaner in character and faithful to my assignment.” ✅ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR THE EMBER MONTHS. 1. Establish a daily prayer time. Even if it is 15–30 minutes, be consistent. 2. Read the Bible daily. Don't allow social media to receive more attention than God's Word. 3. Examine your relationships. Ask who is strengthening your faith and who is weakening it. 4. Avoid unnecessary risks. Be wise with travelling, finances, relationships and celebrations. 5. Control your spending. Don't spend January's resources trying to impress people in December. 6. Stay connected to Christian fellowship. Don't isolate yourself spiritually. 7. Practice gratitude. Count your blessings instead of comparing yourself with others. 8. Set spiritual goals. Before the year ends, decide what you want to accomplish spiritually. 9. Reconcile where necessary. Do not carry unnecessary bitterness into another year. 10. Finish what God has entrusted to you. Don't abandon your assignment because the year has been difficult. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION 1. How spiritually alert am I right now? 2. Has my prayer life become weaker? 3. What distractions are threatening my relationship with God? 4. Are there relationships I need to reconsider? 5. Am I making decisions because of God's leading or because of pressure? 6. What temptation do I need to become more watchful against? 7. What unfinished assignment should I complete before the year ends? 8. If the year ended today, would I be satisfied with my walk with God? 9. What must I stop doing? 10. What must I start doing? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Prayer for spiritual alertness Father, awaken my spirit and make me sensitive to Your voice. Help me to recognize every distraction and every trap of the enemy. 2. Prayer for protection Lord, preserve me, my family and everyone connected to me throughout these remaining months. Keep us from evil and unnecessary danger. 3. Prayer against temptation Father, strengthen me to say NO to every temptation that can destroy my testimony, destiny and relationship with You. 4. Prayer for divine direction. Lord, guide my decisions. Give me wisdom to know what to accept, what to reject and what to wait for. 5. Prayer against desperation Father, deliver me from the pressure to compete, compare or compromise. Help me to trust Your timing. 6. Prayer for restoration Lord, restore whatever I have lost that is according to Your will, and give me wisdom to recover what can still be recovered. 7. Prayer for finishing well Father, I will not finish this year spiritually empty. Give me grace to finish stronger, wiser, purer and closer to You than I started. 8. Prayer for the family Lord, preserve our families. Let no tragedy, division or destructive influence prevail over our homes. 9. Prayer for purpose Father, help me to complete every assignment You have entrusted to me before the end of this year. 10. Prayer of surrender Lord Jesus, I surrender the remaining months of this year to You. Take control of my life, my plans, my family, my decisions and my future. Let Your will be done in my life. Amen. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING: DON'T SLEEP THROUGH YOUR SEASON! Church, the ember months are here, but God's grace is still available! Don't become careless. Don't become distracted. Don't become desperate. Don't compromise. Don't allow celebrations to replace consecration. Don't allow social pressure to replace God's direction. Don't allow the mistakes of yesterday to destroy the possibilities of tomorrow. WATCH! PRAY! DISCERN! STAND FIRM! FINISH STRONG! The year may be approaching its final months, but your assignment is not finished. Your testimony is not finished. Your purpose is not finished. Your story is not finished. 1 September Have Never Seen the Righteous Forsaken 📖 Psalm 37:25 (AMP) “I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous [those in right standing with God] abandoned or his descendants pleading for bread.” God Has Never Forgotten You There are seasons when life can make you wonder whether God sees what you are going through. You may look at your circumstances and think, “Lord, how am I going to get through this?” Perhaps provision seems uncertain, the future feels unstable, or you have been waiting so long for an answer that discouragement has begun to creep into your heart. But David gives us a powerful testimony: he had lived long enough to see many seasons, yet he could testify that God had never abandoned His righteous ones. Notice that David didn't say the righteous never experience hardship. He didn't say they never face lack, disappointment, uncertainty, or difficult seasons. His testimony was that God does not abandon His children in the middle of those things. Sometimes God's provision doesn't arrive in the way or timing we expected. Sometimes He provides through an unexpected opportunity, a person, a door that opens, strength for another day, or simply the grace to keep going when we don't know what tomorrow holds. But He remains faithful. Your present circumstance is not proof of God's absence. A difficult season does not mean God has forgotten your name. A delayed answer does not mean He has changed His mind about you. A season of uncertainty does not mean you are walking alone. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already present in your tomorrow. 🌱 Remember What God Has Already Done David's confidence came from looking back. “I have been young and now I am old…” In other words: “I have lived long enough to know that God is faithful.” There is power in remembering. Think back over your own journey. Remember the doors God opened. Remember the times you thought you wouldn't make it, yet somehow you did. Remember the strength that came when you had none left. Remember the provision that arrived at just the right moment. Those moments become reminders for today: If God was faithful then, He is still faithful now. You don't have to understand everything God is doing to trust the God who is doing it. ❤️ God Is Your Provider Psalm 37:25 reminds us that our security ultimately does not come from our circumstances—it comes from God. People can change. Jobs can change. Economies can change. Plans can change. Life can change. God does not. He knows what you need before you ask. He sees what you cannot see. He knows where your provision will come from before you even know there is a need. So today, refuse to let fear tell you that you have been forgotten. Lift your eyes above the circumstance and remember the character of your Father. He is faithful. He is trustworthy. He is your provider. He will not abandon you. Your story isn't finished. 🙏 Prayer Father, Thank You for reminding me that You never abandon those who trust in You. When I look at my circumstances and become afraid of what tomorrow may bring, help me to remember Your faithfulness. Thank You for every time You have carried me, provided for me, protected me, and made a way when I couldn't see one. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear to make me question Your presence. Help me to trust You even when I don't understand Your timing. Teach me to walk by faith and not by what I see. Give me peace when provision seems uncertain and courage when the future feels unknown. Lord, I choose to believe that You have not forgotten me. You are still my Provider. You are still my Shepherd. You are still my refuge. You are still faithful. Let my life become a testimony like David's—that after walking through many seasons, I can look back and say: “God never left me. God never abandoned me. God was faithful every step of the way.” In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏 🌸 Today’s Declaration “I will not fear what tomorrow holds, because I know who holds tomorrow. God has never abandoned me, and He will remain faithful to me. I am not forgotten. I am not alone. 🌿 MINDFULNESS: THE WISDOM OF HOW WE TREAT ONE ANOTHER 🌿 Being mindful is more than simply being aware. It is remembering that we share this world with other people. It means practicing manners, decorum, etiquette, and civility—not because we are trying to appear perfect, but because we recognize the dignity of others. Sometimes wisdom sounds like speaking. Sometimes wisdom sounds like listening. And sometimes wisdom sounds like silence. 📖 “A time to keep silence, and a time to speak.” — Ecclesiastes 3:7 There are moments when our words can encourage, correct, defend, or bring healing. And there are moments when speaking out of anger, pride, impulse, or frustration can cause unnecessary harm. 📖 “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.” — James 1:19 The Bible reminds us that our words matter. 📖 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18:21 And sometimes the wisest response is simply to be still. 📖 “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 Being still does not mean being indifferent. Being quiet does not mean being weak. Being civil does not mean permitting wrongdoing. Jesus Himself demonstrated that there is a time for gentleness and a time for righteous confrontation. Scripture calls us to pursue truth, justice, mercy, and righteousness—not merely comfort or appearances. So mindfulness asks us: Is this the right time to speak? Is this the right way to speak? Does this need to be said? Am I listening as carefully as I am speaking? Will my words bring understanding—or unnecessary injury? And perhaps most importantly: Am I treating people as members of a family whom God has commanded me to love? 📖 “Love one another: as I have loved you.” — John 13:34 📖 “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” — Romans 12:10 Christian love is not pretending that everything is acceptable. It is not concealing injustice. It is not remaining silent when someone is being harmed. Rather, it means learning to speak truth with love, to correct without cruelty, to disagree without contempt, and to stand for what is right without abandoning compassion. 📖 “Speaking the truth in love…” — Ephesians 4:15 There is tremendous wisdom in knowing the difference between silence that protects peace and silence that permits injustice. So today, let us be mindful. Mindful of our words. Mindful of our tone. Mindful of our surroundings. Mindful of other people’s dignity. Mindful of when to speak. Mindful of when to listen. Mindful of when to be still. And yes… Mind your P’s and Q’s. 😉 Not as an invitation to conceal who we are or to perform politeness for appearances— but as a gentle reminder to show respect, practice good manners, exercise self-control, and treat others with the dignity we hope to receive. Because kindness is not weakness. Civility is not compromise. Silence is not always surrender. And speaking up is not always unkind. PRAYER TO RESIST AND DESTROY EVIL ALTERS Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are the Most High God, the Creator of heaven and earth. Your Word says in Psalm 91:2, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." Right now, I stand on the rock of Your truth to break, resist, and destroy every evil altar speaking against my life, my family, my community, and my ministry. 1. Renouncing and Resisting Evil Voices The Scripture: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord..." (Isaiah 54:17). The Prayer: Lord, I silence every evil altar speaking failure, sickness, confusion, and delay into my life and community. I command every demonic voice crying out from hidden altars of darkness to be silenced by the blood of Jesus. I refuse to agree with any word or decree sent from an evil altar. 2. Pulling Down Demonic Strongholds The Scripture: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;" (2 Corinthians 10:4). The Prayer: Father, by Your Holy Spirit, I release the fire of God to dismantle every foundational and territorial evil altar fighting my progress. I pull down every stronghold of generational curses, witchcraft, and ancestral worship that has tied down my family, my church, and my city. Let the horns of the wicked be broken right now in Jesus' name. 3. Destroying and Burning Evil Altars The Scripture: "But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire." (Deuteronomy 7:5). The Prayer: O Lord, send Your consuming fire to burn to ashes every satanic altar erected against my ministry and community. I decree that every covenant and sacrifice speaking against my destiny is nullified by the blood of Jesus. Every priest of darkness ministering at evil altars against my life is dethroned and disgraced today. 4. Claiming Ultimate Victory and Freedom The Scripture: "And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (2 Timothy 4:18). The Prayer: Thank You, Lord, because I am victorious. My life, my community, and my ministry are hidden in Christ. I walk in total freedom, divine protection, and unhindered breakthrough from this day forward. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen

🔥 L’ÉPREUVE N’EST PAS LA FIN DE TON HISTOIRE Il y a des saisons où tu ne comprends plus ce que Dieu est en train de faire. Tu pries, mais la situation semble empirer. Tu avances, mais les portes restent fermées. Tu pleures en silence, tout en essayant de garder la foi. Mais Job 5:17-26 nous rappelle une vérité puissante : Dieu peut permettre une saison douloureuse sans avoir abandonné Son enfant. L’épreuve peut te blesser, mais elle ne pourra pas annuler le plan de Dieu sur ta vie. Elle peut te faire tomber, mais elle ne pourra pas empêcher Dieu de te relever. Elle peut t’épuiser, mais elle ne pourra pas avoir le dernier mot. « Heureux l’homme que Dieu châtie ! Ne méprise donc pas la correction du Tout-Puissant. » (Job 5:17) Parfois, ce que tu considères comme un retard est en réalité une préparation. Ce que tu appelles une perte peut devenir l’endroit où Dieu reconstruit ta vie. Ce qui t’a fait pleurer aujourd’hui peut devenir demain le témoignage qui encouragera quelqu’un d’autre. Le texte nous montre un Dieu qui blesse, mais qui guérit ; qui frappe, mais dont les mains peuvent restaurer. Même lorsque plusieurs difficultés se succèdent, Dieu promet Sa présence au milieu de chacune d’elles. Alors ne laisse pas ta saison actuelle te faire croire que ton histoire est terminée. 🌿 Tu n’es pas abandonné. 🔥 Tu n’es pas oublié. 💪 Tu n’es pas arrivé à la fin. 🙏 Dieu travaille encore. Tiens ferme. Continue de croire. Continue d’avancer, même lorsque tu ne vois pas encore le résultat. Car l’épreuve n’a pas reçu l’autorité d’écrire la dernière page de ta vie. Oyadosu_ *INTRODUCTION: NOT JUST GEOGRAPHY, BUT PROPHECY* To the glory of God, the announcement on *29 August 2026 in Recife, Brazil*, that the headquarters of the *Global Anglican Communion* will be established in *Abuja, Nigeria*, is more than an administrative decision. It is a prophetic marker. While some individuals in their opinion rightly calls for wisdom, humility, and global representation, we must also read this moment through the lens of *Scripture, history, and eschatology*. God is not surprised by geography. He ordains seasons. What we are witnessing is not Africa “taking over” Anglicanism. It is the *return of Christianity to its ancient African roots* and the beginning of an *End-Time Revival that will be led from the Global South*. *1. CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA PREDATES EUROPEAN MISSIONS* The argument that Anglicanism must remain tied to Canterbury because “that is where it began” overlooks a deeper biblical and historical truth: *Africa was Christian before Europe was*. 1. *Ethiopia*: The Ethiopian eunuch in *Acts 8:26-39* took the Gospel to Africa in the 1st century. It was a divine alignment. Abuja, the centrally located capital of the most populous black nation, becomes a *new Upper Room* from where the Spirit will be poured out. Just as Jerusalem was the geographic center for the 1st century Church in *Acts 1:8*, *Abuja can be a 21st century center* for a global outpouring — not because Nigeria is superior, but because God chooses weak and unlikely places to shame the wise. *1 Corinthians 1:27* *4. ANSWERING THE CONCERNS: INFRASTRUCTURE, GLOBALITY, AND OWNERSHIP* Some highly respected Anglican Church fathers in God raised legitimate practical concerns. But eschatology teaches us that *God provides infrastructure for what He ordains*. 1. *On Infrastructure*: Joseph was sent to Egypt, Daniel to Babylon, and Paul to Rome. God never waits for perfect roads before He moves. As the headquarters grows, God will raise partners, technology, and diaspora Anglicans to build it.
