OCU PRIMATE VISITS BELGIAN METROPOLIS OF ECUMENICAL PATRIARCHATE

SYNOPSIS: On June 21, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the OCU, visited the Metropolis of Belgium as part of a delegation from the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations. The visit was hosted by Metropolitan Athenagoras of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, who has a long-standing history of involvement in Ukrainian church affairs.
The two leaders held discussions regarding the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine and the resulting humanitarian crisis. Metropolitan Athenagoras expressed his deep sympathy for the victims of the war and his support for achieving a just and lasting peace for the Ukrainian people.
