Lord, move in our families as never before! Go into every home, touch every heart, and meet every need. Father, we lift up every family member who does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Your Word says You are “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Lord, save our sons, daughters, grandchildren, spouses, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Draw them to Jesus and bring the wandering ones home! Father, touch every family member dealing with physical sickness, mental and emotional struggles, pain, disease, anxiety, fear, discouragement, or exhaustion. “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed.” — Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV) Lord, heal bodies, strengthen minds, restore peace, guide doctors, and give wisdom concerning every treatment and decision. Father, we cry out for those struggling with drugs and alcohol. Break every chain of addiction! Destroy destructive cycles and give them strength, treatment, support, and godly people to walk with them toward freedom. “He brought them out of darkness... and brake their bands in sunder.” — Psalm 107:14 (KJV) Lord, we place our finances before You. Provide where there is lack. Give us wisdom, discipline, favor, opportunity, and resources. Help us become faithful stewards of everything You place in our hands. We pray for every family member seeking employment. “Establish thou the work of our hands upon us.” — Psalm 90:17 (KJV) Lord, open doors no one can shut. Give favor with applications, résumés, interviews, and employers. Lead them to the right opportunities. And for those who are already employed, Father, we thank You! Now we believe You for increase, advancement, salary increases, new opportunities, and promotion according to Your will. Lord, heal broken relationships. Restore communication. Break generational cycles. Remove unforgiveness, division, and bitterness. Protect our children, marriages, homes, and loved ones from dangers seen and unseen. Father, move through our bloodline! Yet events that horrified those same prophets take place in our world every day, and we’re immune to them. Like wearing a watch, you get used to it and after a while you don’t even notice it. It may be that they had recorded successes in previous battles, or have become famous for their accomplishments. They may deem themselves to be invincible, and either declare a war that's totally unnecessary, or inject themselves into other people's battles. In the end, they become the victims of their ego and exaggerated sense of power and importance.* *This is what happened to the kings of the nations on the east of River Jordan. The children of Israel were on a journey ordered by the Almighty God. They were heading to the land of Canaan, in fulfilment of the promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their land was not part of Canaan, and therefore, was not intended to be inherited by the Israelites. The inheritance of the Israelites was to be solely Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey. But on their way, the Israelites encountered nations that had heard about the supernatural work of God in bringing them out of Egypt. Although the Israelites did not declare war against them, these nations, some out of unfounded fear of losing their territory, and others out of envy and hatred against this nation that had a God that can subdue, humble and defeat Egypt, the great world power of the time, took it on themselves to stop Israel from progressing towards their land of promise. One of such kings was Sihon, king of the Amorites, whose nation was mainly a lush vegetation sandwiched by rivers and plain land that was a haven for pastoralists and for other forms of agriculture. The other king was Og, king of Bashan, a land of the remnants of the giants, with similar topography as the land of the Amorites. When they rose against the Israelites, they were roundly defeated, their kingdoms destroyed and their land confiscated by Moses. He subsequently allocated the land to two and half tribes of Israel, which desired to settle there because it was suitable for their vocation as pastoralists. Had those nations stayed out of the way of the Israelites, they would have remained in their land.* *We must be wise and not take on battles that are not ours, whether out of sympathy with other people or to prove that we are powerful. As believers, we have more than enough battles against principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, against sin and Satan. The armour Christ has given us is intended to defeat these adversaries. It is not to be wasted on self-imposed battles that do not benefit the kingdom of God. Those who engage in the wrong battles suffer great loss, and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. Some are penned down in the Bible while there are many more that have been experienced by individuals, families, communities and nations since creation of man. The fact that God is immutable guarantees that those miracles can be repeated and increased in greatness and number. One of the greatest ways to strengthen faith is to deliberately rehearse God's faithfulness and meditate on those past wonders of God. Throughout Scripture, God often instructed His people to remember His mighty acts so that they would trust Him for future victories. Israel's conquest of the Amorites under Sihon and the later record of those victories in Joshua remind us that God's past interventions are powerful testimonies of His unfailing covenant. Every believer should cultivate the habit of recalling God's goodness instead of dwelling on past fears or failures. As we recount His faithfulness, our confidence in His promises grows. *1.Arrogant Courting of Battles* Israel peacefully requested passage through the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, but Sihon arrogantly rejected the request and chose war instead (Numbers 21:21–25). It is the norm in military warfare that you don't fight those who come and prefer peace to war. The worst is to lead them as captives. Sihon had taken pride in defeating Moab and taking her possessions (Numbers 21:26-2). Their victory over Moab was celebrated as it became a song in the land. He was optimistic and emboldened that he could repeat the same feat against Israel. However, he was thoughtless and proud. His pride blinded him to the fact that he was fighting against God's covenant people. It is dangerous and risky to fight against the covenant people of God. The battle ended in complete defeat of Sihon because no human strength can prevail against God's purpose. b. Believers have the domineering power of Jesus Christ to crush every power of the adversaries. However, this is not a license for believers to arrogantly court and tempt the people of darkness to unnecessary warfare. When Herod wanted Jesus to perform some miracles for a show of power, Jesus declined because it was unnecessary (Luke 23:8). When Satan tempted Jesus to jump down from the mountain, Jesus also declined because it was an unnecessary show of power. Believers should avoid unnecessary boasting and fight in the name of the Lord that is borne out of arrogance or pride. Believers should never fear opposition, for God remains the Defender of those who trust Him. At the same time, we must guard against pride, remembering that arrogance always invites destruction. *Question* Am I trusting God's strength in life's battles, or am I relying on human confidence and pride? *2. Appreciative Counting of Blessings* Joshua carefully recorded the kings and their land, whom God had delivered into Israel's hands (Joshua 12:1–5). These verses are more than historical records—they are memorials of divine faithfulness. God's people are encouraged to remember every victory and every answered prayer. Gratitude protects the heart from discouragement and unbelief. When we regularly count our blessings, we discover that God's mercies greatly outweigh our trials. Thanksgiving also prepares us to receive greater blessings from the Lord. As the psalmist puts it, *"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."* This will take a diligent and deliberate effort like Joshua did when he wrote down and recalled the good wonders of God to himself and to the whole Israel. *Question* How often do I deliberately remember and thank God for His past faithfulness in my life? *3. Additions to Covenant for the Beloved* a. The conquered territories were not part of the promised Canaan inheritance. But Sihon and Og lost their land through their pride and arrogance and those blessings were taken from them and added to the children of Israel (Joshua 12:6). After getting victory, Moses assigned the conquered territory to the tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh as their inheritance. God's faithfulness extends beyond victory in battle to the fulfillment of His covenant promises. b. There are several cases where God took away the assigned blessing of the arrogant and added them to the portion of the godly. Reuben and Esau were supposed to have the double blessings of their first born, but they both lost them through carelessness and profanity. Their blessings were added to Judah and Jacob respectively. Jesus warned the Ephesian Church of loss of ministry if they didn't repent from the loss of their first love and the immoral practices of the Nicolaitans(Revelation 2:5). He also warned the Pastor of Philadelphia that if he was not watchful, his crown would be taken from him and be given or added to another person. *"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown"* (Revelation 3:11). Remember, King Saul lost his crown, which was supposed to be generational, to David. The same with Esau and none of them could get his back. Fight and be watchful to retain and enjoy all your blessings and inheritance assigned to you by God. *Question* Am I very watchful and prayerful in ensuring that my blessings and inheritance are not taken from me and transferred to another person? *Prayer Points* 1.Heavenly Father, help me always remember and celebrate Your faithfulness in every season of my life 🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from every form of pride, boasting and unnecessary show of power and grant me victory over every battle confronting my faith 🙏. 3.Give me a grateful heart that continually counts Your blessings instead of focusing on life's difficulties. 4.Give Your children grace to be watchful and prayerful and don't allow anyone to take their assigned blessings and inheritance 🙏. *HYMN:* Count Your Blessings *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 26-29. 2. August 30 🌿 “WHEN I CANNOT SEE HIS HAND” WHEN MY PRAYER SEEMS UNANSWERED 📖 Habakkuk 1:2 (LLV) — “O LORD, how long must I cry for help and You do not hear? I cry out to You about violence, but You do not save.” There are prayers we pray once. And there are other prayers we carry for a very long time. We pray in the morning. Again at night. Tomorrow we pray again. Days pass. Perhaps months. Perhaps years. And still nothing seems to change. Habakkuk knew that frustration. “How long must I cry for help?” This was not the prayer of someone who had just begun asking. He had been crying out to God. And from Habakkuk's perspective, God had not answered. “You do not hear.” Those are bold words. Perhaps even uncomfortable words. But once again, Scripture allows a faithful person to speak honestly to God. Habakkuk does not abandon God. He complains to God. There is an important difference. He could have walked away. Instead, he keeps the conversation going. Even his complaint is an act of faith. He still believes there is Someone listening to the complaint. But Habakkuk cannot understand God's silence. He sees violence. Injustice. Destruction. Conflict. Things are wrong, and Habakkuk knows they are wrong. So he asks the question many believers have asked: “God, why aren't You doing something?” Sometimes our unanswered prayers are personal. Heal someone I love. Restore this relationship. Open this door. Provide what I need. Help my child. Take away this burden. Other times, like Habakkuk, we look at the world around us and pray: “Lord, please make this right.” And then we wait. One of the hardest lessons of prayer is discovering that God's silence is not the same thing as God's absence. Nor does His delay necessarily mean He has said no. God eventually answers Habakkuk. But His answer will not be what Habakkuk expected. In fact, it will create even more questions. That too is part of faith. Sometimes we ask God for an answer when what we really want is an answer we will understand. But God's purposes may be unfolding far beyond what we can currently see. So what do we do while we wait? Habakkuk shows us. We keep talking. We keep asking. We keep bringing the burden back to God. Not because repeating the prayer forces Him to act. But because prayer keeps our hearts turned toward the One who can. Yesterday the psalmist spoke to his own soul: “Hope in God.” Today Habakkuk turns that hope back toward heaven and says: “I'm still here, Lord. I'm still asking.” A new beginning sometimes begins with a prayer we have prayed many times before: when God's answer has not yet come, I can keep bringing my heart to Him. Reflection: Is there a prayer I have nearly stopped praying because I have mistaken God's silence for His lack of concern? Prayer: Heavenly Father, You know the prayers I have carried for a long time and the answers I am still waiting to see. Sometimes Your silence is difficult for me to understand. Help me not to interpret waiting as abandonment. Give me the courage to speak honestly with You, as Habakkuk did, and the faith to keep coming back when nothing seems to change. I do not know what You may already be doing beyond what I can see, but I trust that my prayers are not hidden from You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Let Your healing mercy touch bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits. Let unbelievers see Your goodness, let the lost be saved, let the bound be set free, let the discouraged receive hope, and let the sick receive prayer and comfort. “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” — 1 Corinthians 4:20 Lord, increase the faith of Your church. Teach us to seek the Giver more than the gifts. Let every spiritual gift point people toward Jesus Christ and bring glory to Your holy name. “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts.” — 1 Corinthians 14:1 Father, pour out Your Spirit upon the church today. Let worship rise, let prayer rise, let faith rise, and let Your presence fill the house. “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh.” — Acts 2:17 I pray that every ministry would function according to the calling You have placed upon it. Give each person grace to serve faithfully, courage to obey You, and discernment to know when and how the Holy Spirit is leading. Let there be salvations, deliverances, healings, restoration, reconciliation, repentance, miracles, signs, wonders, and powerful testimonies, all according to Your will and all bringing glory to Jesus Christ. “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple... did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God.” — Acts 2:46–47 Heavenly Father, have Your way in the church today. Let the Holy Spirit move freely. Let Your Word go forth with power. Let Your healing presence touch those who need You. Summer's officially winding down and, much of the country starts the transition between long, lazy days of summer and juggling the chaos of deadlines, frantic schedules, and extracurricular activities. For me, I will jump into my 24th year in the classroom. 24 years of slow, sluggish days of recovery from the previous school year to the mach-3 craziness of a typical school day: a frazillion questions—some of which actually have something to do with the subject—as well as a litany of excuses, accommodation requests, apathy, and a cacophony of laughter directed at me because of something stupid I inadvertently or did. Of course, it also comes meaningful and insightful classroom discussions, fond memories, and watching a light bulb come as a connection is made between the head and the heart. I pray for many more school years to come. Typically on the first day of school, the most frequent prompt that comes up is: what I did last summer. This prompt produces a variety of responses, ranging from vacations, camping trips, swimming, tubing, fishing, and the county fair. I’ve been thinking about this question a lot lately as well as what would be my answer. All things considered, I had an eventful summer. I embarked on another road trip, a budding impromptu tradition that takes me along American’s backroads exploring places I have never seen before. These annual road trips have become therapeutic for me. The weekend after I returned, I went to my 40th High School Reunion, reliving old memories and seeing classmates I honestly thought I would have never seen again. Next, my wife and I spent our 28th Anniversary exploring the old territorial capitol of Montana, Virginia City. However, despite all of that activity, if I had to honestly define my summer, I would describe it as a time to heal. This last spring, I lost my mother the same week my wife lost her job. It was a world turned upside-down. In addition to the typical annual stress of teaching during a second semester, I had to be an emotional strength and encourager for my wife as we grieved the loss of my mother. We had to juggle a household that, for a time, dealt with a 60% income drop, a loss of insurance, and an uncertain future. Now, I will emphatically state that God came through for us during that ordeal. He absolutely did. However, those months also took a great toll on my being. I didn’t feel like myself at home or at work. My filters were down. My emotions were raw, shriveled and depleted. I was subdued and weak. I just wanted to crawl under a rock. But the summer brought a time of restoration of heavy solitude. It brought with wonderful experiences alone, with my wife, and with God. The teacher in Ecclesiastes writes of seasons in life: “A time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time to uproot, A time to kill and a time to heal, A time to tear down and a time to build, A time to weep and a time to laugh, A time to mourn and a time to dance, A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, A time to search and a time to give up, A time to keep and a time to throw away, A time to tear and a time to mend, A time to be silent and a time to speak, A time to love and a time to hate, A time for war and a time for peace.” (Ecclesiastes 3:2–8) Life is filled with seasons. As much as we try, they are unavoidable. Frankly, it is easy to cling to God when life is wonderful; however, true spiritual growth comes when life isn't peachy. We always enjoy mountain top experience; however, it is also important to remember that nothing grows on a mountain top. The rich, fertile soil lies in the valley. It often seems superficial that use suffering to test us or to teach us a lesson. More often, he quietly sits with us in difficult seasons for us to cling to. So what is the answer to that question asked in nearly every classroom in America? I healed. My summer was a time for restoration, a time for healing. In a matter of days, the school year kicks off and a new season begins. And with the new year, when the next season arrives, my grip on God—with prayer and knowledge he is with me—remains tighter than ever.

Jesus told centurion Soldier he was in awe of his faith, he trusted Jesus didn’t have to come to his house and heal his daughter he said if just speak the word she would be healed……. How is your faith looking? Is God in awe of your Faith?

When we speak the truth out loud—to God, to ourselves, and to someone safe—the weight we’ve carried begins to lift. Honesty breaks the power of secrecy and opens the door to real recovery. READ: James 5:16 Since God has the power to heal us spiritually, emotionally, and physically, prayer is one of the most powerful tools available to us in recovery. When we pray to God, we call upon that power and display our faith that he can help us. Prayer is essential in the process of putting our broken life into God’s caring and capable hands. He is more than able to help us and guide us to blessings and peace. When our life seems out of control and we are in despair, we can begin the healing process by bringing our problems to God. He is listening, and he has the power to rebuild even the most shattered life.
