St. Giles He was a Greek saint and was born in an Athenian noble family, in the year 650 A.D. Legend says that he was the son of King Theodore and Queen Pelagia of Athens. He was spending a lot of his time in solitude in a forest near Nimes and there his only companion was a red deer. One day a hunter shot an arrow aimed at the red deer but the arrow wounded the saint. As per one story about him, the said red deer gave St. Giles her milk to sustain him. St. Giles ate only vegetarian diet and was very much reputed for his personal sanctity. He was credited with many miracles. A King named Wamba, a Visigoth King, constructed a monastery for St. Giles and placed it under the Benedictine Rule. St. Giles rejected all honors conferred on him. He died in the year 710. With this you will win the battle, because the Lord will be able to do miracles for you. Most work done in the Kingdom of God is done by simple people, who use what they have and start working with it. God does not need big things We do not need difficult things to enable God to perform great miracles. God does not need big things to do something big. You should not be afraid, but brave; you have to use what you have at hand and work with it. Be obedient and go to war with what you have. Fight the enemy. The enemy is great, and he is always against us, but what does that matter when God is on our side? Brenda Walsh Ministries Worshiping Idols. God does not want His children worshiping idols. In fact, He feels so strongly about it that it is one of the Ten Commandments that He wrote with His own finger on a tablet of stone. It is recorded in Exodus 20:3-6: “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” And in Leviticus 26:1, it says, “You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God.” You see, God wants you to love and obey Him, and worship ‘only’ Him. He doesn’t want you to worship anything or anyone else. Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Some Christians worship idols without even realizing it, because anything that you love more than Jesus Christ . . . is an idol. It could be your fancy new car, a prestigious job, wealth, beauty, power, or countless other things, even people. If you love material things or your relationships more than you love God, then you are worshiping idols. Whatever is standing in the way of your friendship with Jesus, move it or get rid of it! Nothing is more important than your relationship with God! Show Him how much you love Him by praising and worshiping Him - and only Him! In John 4:23, we’re told, “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” Don’t waste your time worshiping material things or people . . . worship the King of the Universe . . . and only the King! The universe shouts with joy, knowing that the One who gave it life, purpose, and intention also made it beautiful and powerful. This constant declaration surrounds us, inviting us to acknowledge the Lord's hand in all creation and give Him the praise He is due. The One who wears the true crown of the universe, God’s beloved Son. We need to fall on our face and see Him as the Holy One, the Highest One, the Only One. As you do, all your fears, save the fear of Christ Himself, will melt like an ice cube on a summer day. You will agree with David: ‘The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?’ In the book Prince Caspian, there is a great illustration of this. Lucy sees Aslan the lion for the first time in many years. He has changed since their last encounter. His size surprises her, and she tells him as much. ‘Aslan,’ says Lucy, ‘you’re bigger.’ He replies, ‘That is because you are older, little one.’ Lucy says, ‘Not because you are?’ He replies, ‘I am not. But every year you grow, you find me bigger.’ And so it is in our walk with Christ. The longer we serve Him, the greater He becomes. It’s not that He changes, but that we do. We see dimensions, aspects, characteristics we never saw before; increasing and astonishing increments of His purity, power, and uniqueness. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. *Timeless Truth:* _But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you _*(Matthew 6:33)*. *INTRODUCTION* In 1997, the world watched as Mother Teresa continued her work among the poor and dying in Calcutta despite having very limited material resources. Her ministry was not built around accumulating possessions, but around serving people and pointing them toward Christ. Her life demonstrated that material needs, though important, cannot by themselves satisfy the deepest needs of the human heart. This truth is reflected in Jesus' encounter with the crowd in John 6. The people had witnessed the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. They had received bread miraculously and when they could no longer find Jesus, they sought for Him. However, Jesus exposed the motive behind their search: *“You seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.”* (John 6:26) They were pursuing Jesus primarily because of what He could give them, rather than because of who He is. Jesus then redirected their attention from temporary bread to eternal nourishment: The passage challenges us to examine our motives: Are we seeking Christ because we love Him or primarily because of what we hope to receive from Him? The crowd came looking for Jesus, but Jesus knew why they were looking for Him. They had eaten the bread, enjoyed the miracle and wanted more. Their problem was not that they wanted bread. Their problem was that they wanted bread without fully recognizing the Bread of Life. This remains a danger for Christians today. We can seek God for: employment, healing, financial breakthrough, academic success, marriage, protection, promotion, material provision and all these things may legitimately be brought before God in prayer. However, if our relationship with Christ is reduced to what He can provide, we have misunderstood discipleship. Jesus is not merely the Provider of bread; He is the Bread of Life. The greatest blessing is not what God places in our hands, but who God places in our hearts. Physical bread sustains the body temporarily. Money can provide comfort temporarily. Success can bring recognition temporarily. Possessions can give pleasure temporarily, but none of these can satisfy the deepest hunger of the human soul. Only Christ can do that. Therefore, we must examine our priorities. Are we spending more time pursuing things than pursuing God? Are we more excited about God's gifts than about God's presence? Do we pray only when we need something or do we desire fellowship with Christ because we love Him? The answer of Jesus is clear: *Do not labour for the food which perisheth, but for the food which endureth to everlasting life.* Let us therefore, seek Christ above possessions, eternal life above temporary success and God's kingdom above worldly satisfaction. When Christ becomes our greatest treasure, we can enjoy God's blessings without allowing those blessings to become our god. The deepest hunger of the human heart can only be satisfied by Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life. *1. The Pursuit of Temporary Satisfaction* a. The crowd crossed the sea looking for Jesus, but their motivation was primarily physical. The people sought diligently for Jesus after discovering that He had left. Seeking Christ is good, but our motives matter. We should seek Jesus not merely for His blessings, but because He is worthy of our love and devotion. b. The crowd had witnessed a miracle and wanted more. They were attracted to what Jesus could do rather than surrendering themselves to who Jesus is. *(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)* (2 Corinthians 5:7) — Miracles can point us toward Christ, but miracles themselves must never become the foundation of our faith. Physical food satisfies temporarily; eventually, we become hungry again. *Questions* (i) What do I pursue most—God Himself or the blessings I hope to receive from Him? (ii) Have material possessions, comfort, success or recognition become more important to me than spiritual growth? *2. The Priority of Eternal Substance* a. Jesus redirected the crowd from physical food toward the nourishment that leads to eternal life. This does not mean Christians should neglect legitimate work or physical responsibilities. Rather, eternal things must have first priority. Our careers, businesses, education and possessions are important, but none should replace our pursuit of God. b. Jesus made it clear that eternal life ultimately comes from God. *For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:* (Ephesians 2:8). We cannot earn salvation through human achievement. When the crowd asked what they should do, Jesus answered: The central response God desires is genuine faith in Jesus Christ. *Questions* (i) Am I investing as much energy in my spiritual life as I invest in my career and material needs? (ii) Am I trusting Christ for salvation or am I depending on my good works and religious activities? *3. The Provision of Sufficient Bread* a. The crowd remembered the manna given to Israel in the wilderness and asked Jesus for a sign. They referred to Moses and the manna: They were focusing on an earlier miracle instead of recognizing the greater One standing before them. Past spiritual experiences are valuable testimonies, but we must continue walking with Christ today. b. Jesus corrected their understanding: *Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.*(John 6:32.) God's provision in the wilderness pointed beyond physical manna to Christ Himself. We can trust God to provide what we genuinely need while remembering that our greatest need is spiritual life in Christ. The crowd responded: *“Lord, give us this bread always.”* Although they still misunderstood, their request provided an opportunity for Jesus to reveal the truth that became explicit in the following verse: *And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst* (John 6:35).Jesus Himself is the ultimate provision for the deepest hunger of the human soul. *Questions* (i) Where do I turn when I experience emotional, spiritual or inner emptiness? (ii) Am I allowing Christ to satisfy my deepest spiritual hunger through His Word and fellowship? *Prayer Points* 1. Lord, help me to seek You above every temporary possession, achievement and earthly ambition.🙏 2. Father, create within me a deeper hunger and thirst for Your Word, Your presence and Your righteousness.🙏 3. Sadly, the crowd in our text sought Jesus for temporal gratification, not eternal salvation! Jesus saw their motive for seeking Him and punctured their search with a scathing, incisive, yet profoundly true remark: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled".* *The Bible is clear that our ultimate source of happiness and pleasure is God. David wrote, "In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore". Jesus told the disciples: "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full". We will find fullness of joy and pleasures forever when we seek the Lord rightly.* *Beloved, never seek the Lord for superficial motives. They are a mirage; bubbles that never last. Beyond the bread (healing, deliverance, prosperity and miracles) that Christ gives, seek Him who is the Bread of Life, the Bread from heaven. Be discreet to shun dispensing your life energy on labouring for perishable material things that will never satisfy the imperishable soul. "Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not?" (Isaiah 55:2). He still saves as many as would come to Him for salvation and restores backsliders who truly repent. God does not despise genuine hunger and thirst for righteousness. More than winning for ourselves, what matters in this life is helping others to win, even if it means slowing down. DIGGING DEEPER… 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NASB)..."God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." The Unfailing Anchor: Understanding God’s Faithful Fellowship With Us Life is full of shifting sands. Careers change, health fluctuates, relationships fracture, and the promises made by people often fade with time. In a world defined by uncertainty, our souls desperately crave something solid to hold onto. We long for a guarantee that we will not be abandoned when the storms of life inevitably roll in because our own strength fractures so easily under the sudden weight of pain and trial. The apostle Paul provides that exact guarantee in 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NASB), writing, "God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." Notice the powerful anchor in this verse: our spiritual security does not rest on our own shifting strength, our perfect performance, or our ability to hold life together. Instead, it rests entirely on the unshakeable character of God a rock-solid reality that remains completely true even when our own faith feels fragile and small. Gods Creation, 100 / evolution, 0 PHYSICS PROVES A CREATOR: THE TWO LAWS EVOLUTION CANNOT BREAK From the moment God spoke the universe into existence, creation has followed clear, consistent rules. You do not need a science degree to understand them. In fact, these rules are so simple and universal that a child can grasp them. Scientists call them the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics. Scripture calls them the fingerprints of order placed into creation by the Lord. The First Law says energy can be transformed but it cannot appear from nowhere. You cannot pour from an empty cup and the universe cannot magically gain brand new energy. What exists is what was created in the beginning. Nothing in nature creates itself. Nothing summons itself into being. This is exactly what Genesis declares. God alone brought time, matter, and energy into existence. Evolutionists try to smuggle in miracles without a Miracle Worker, but the First Law shuts the door. Nature is not a god. Nature cannot create. The Second Law says everything is slowly wearing out. Energy spreads out. Order breaks down. Rust forms. Cells age. Stars burn their fuel. Nothing naturally becomes more ordered over long periods. Left alone, things move from structure to chaos, not chaos to structure. You can witness this in your home. You never wake up to a room that cleaned itself. Disorder always increases unless someone with intelligence imposes order. This is not just common sense. It is the foundational law that governs all physical reality. And here is the unavoidable truth. Evolution demands the opposite of these laws. It requires brand new information to appear out of nothing and it requires disorder to transform itself into higher, more complex order over millions of years. Yet the First Law says you cannot get something from nothing. The Second Law says you cannot get increasing order without an intelligent cause acting on the system. Both laws stand like immovable pillars. Together they declare that creation needed a Creator. This is why the First and Second Laws should have ended evolution the moment they were discovered. Likely today, you will see what happens whenever these scientific truths trap evolution in a corner. Skeptics run to their favorite objection.. If everything needs a cause, then who created God? They set it up like a trap. But this challenge contradicts the very laws they appeal to. The First Law shows the universe cannot create itself. The Second Law shows the universe is running down, not powering up. Something outside the system had to create the system. Laws do not write themselves. Order does not rise from chaos without an Author. The Bible answers this question with a clarity that silences the confusion. God is eternal. He has no beginning and no ending. He is outside of time and space because He created time and space. He is the uncaused Cause, the One necessary Being who holds all contingent beings together. Without an eternal Lawgiver, the laws of nature have no source. Without an eternal Creator, the universe has no beginning. Evolutionists mock Scripture while ignoring that the Bible gave this explanation long before modern science ever caught up. It is almost like a wink in the text, a reminder to doubters of why everything works the way it does. He is the Alpha and the Omega of the universe. The Beginning and the End. The One who formed the laws that reveal His order. The One who speaks and matter obeys. Thermodynamics does not point to chance. It points straight to the eternal Creator who set all things in motion.

THE DOMINION AND SUPREMACY OF CHRIST Which He Wrought In Christ, When He Raised Him From The Dead, And Set Him At His Own Right Hand In The Heavenly Places, Far Above All Principality, And Power, And Might, And Dominion, And Every Name That Is Named, Not Only In This World, But Also In That Which Is To Come (Ephesians 1:20-21 KJV). Our Lord Jesus Christ is not one among many authorities, governments or powers in this world; He’s far above them. He’s high above all other government, authority, power, dominion, and every title of sovereignty used in this age and in the age to come. That means there’s no system, no structure, no name, and no office anywhere that is outside the dominion and supremacy of Christ. Remember, the Bible says He has a government (Isaiah 9:6) and His government is one with unlimited influence, power, dominion and authority: “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...” (Isaiah 9:7). His authority supersedes every earthly system. He is the Head and we are His body. And the Bible says His government is upon His shoulders, which means His body. That’s why when any system stands against the Gospel of Jesus Christ or seeks to hinder the Church, we keep them in check. We frustrate their efforts and overthrow their plans. We have the authority to do that because we function in His Name. As He’s far above every ruler, authority, power and principality of darkness, so are we, because He raised us up together and made us sit together with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). His dominion and supremacy aren’t temporary but forever. Both now and in the world to come, His authority stands. The Bible shows the extent of His rule; everything is under Him. Ephesians 1:20-22 (MSG) says, “All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything....” Blessed be God! Live with this consciousness. You’re functioning under the authority of the One who is above all—the Lord Jesus. Therefore, walk in dominion and supremacy of His glory and mighty power.

During this time the wicked dead will be judged; the earth will be utterly desolate, without living human inhabitants, but occupied by Satan and his angels. At its close Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The unrighteous dead will then be resurrected, and with Satan and his angels will surround the city; but fire from God will consume them and cleanse the earth.
