When simultaneous disasters hit different countries around the world, humanitarian organisations say we suffer from ‘donor fatigue’. Let’s add one more: ‘compassion failure.’ Philosopher Miguel de Unamuno wrote, ‘Warmth, warmth, more warmth! For we are dying of cold and not of darkness. It is not the night that kills, but the frost.’ Think about this: of the 1,189 chapters in the Bible, 250 contain the words of the prophets. That’s roughly 25 percent. Half of what they say denounces sin and the other half condemns those who see human suffering and do nothing about it. Yet events that horrified those same prophets take place in our world every day, and we’re immune to them. Like wearing a watch, you get used to it and after a while you don’t even notice it. But the prophets noticed! They never became desensitised to sin—or human suffering. And you mustn’t either. It may be that they had recorded successes in previous battles, or have become famous for their accomplishments. They may deem themselves to be invincible, and either declare a war that's totally unnecessary, or inject themselves into other people's battles. In the end, they become the victims of their ego and exaggerated sense of power and importance.* *This is what happened to the kings of the nations on the east of River Jordan. The children of Israel were on a journey ordered by the Almighty God. They were heading to the land of Canaan, in fulfilment of the promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their land was not part of Canaan, and therefore, was not intended to be inherited by the Israelites. The inheritance of the Israelites was to be solely Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey. But on their way, the Israelites encountered nations that had heard about the supernatural work of God in bringing them out of Egypt. Although the Israelites did not declare war against them, these nations, some out of unfounded fear of losing their territory, and others out of envy and hatred against this nation that had a God that can subdue, humble and defeat Egypt, the great world power of the time, took it on themselves to stop Israel from progressing towards their land of promise. One of such kings was Sihon, king of the Amorites, whose nation was mainly a lush vegetation sandwiched by rivers and plain land that was a haven for pastoralists and for other forms of agriculture. The other king was Og, king of Bashan, a land of the remnants of the giants, with similar topography as the land of the Amorites. When they rose against the Israelites, they were roundly defeated, their kingdoms destroyed and their land confiscated by Moses. He subsequently allocated the land to two and half tribes of Israel, which desired to settle there because it was suitable for their vocation as pastoralists. Had those nations stayed out of the way of the Israelites, they would have remained in their land.* *We must be wise and not take on battles that are not ours, whether out of sympathy with other people or to prove that we are powerful. As believers, we have more than enough battles against principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, against sin and Satan. The armour Christ has given us is intended to defeat these adversaries. It is not to be wasted on self-imposed battles that do not benefit the kingdom of God. Those who engage in the wrong battles suffer great loss, and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. Some are penned down in the Bible while there are many more that have been experienced by individuals, families, communities and nations since creation of man. The fact that God is immutable guarantees that those miracles can be repeated and increased in greatness and number. One of the greatest ways to strengthen faith is to deliberately rehearse God's faithfulness and meditate on those past wonders of God. Throughout Scripture, God often instructed His people to remember His mighty acts so that they would trust Him for future victories. Israel's conquest of the Amorites under Sihon and the later record of those victories in Joshua remind us that God's past interventions are powerful testimonies of His unfailing covenant. Every believer should cultivate the habit of recalling God's goodness instead of dwelling on past fears or failures. As we recount His faithfulness, our confidence in His promises grows. *1.Arrogant Courting of Battles* Israel peacefully requested passage through the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, but Sihon arrogantly rejected the request and chose war instead (Numbers 21:21–25). It is the norm in military warfare that you don't fight those who come and prefer peace to war. The worst is to lead them as captives. Sihon had taken pride in defeating Moab and taking her possessions (Numbers 21:26-2). Their victory over Moab was celebrated as it became a song in the land. He was optimistic and emboldened that he could repeat the same feat against Israel. However, he was thoughtless and proud. His pride blinded him to the fact that he was fighting against God's covenant people. It is dangerous and risky to fight against the covenant people of God. The battle ended in complete defeat of Sihon because no human strength can prevail against God's purpose. b. Believers have the domineering power of Jesus Christ to crush every power of the adversaries. However, this is not a license for believers to arrogantly court and tempt the people of darkness to unnecessary warfare. When Herod wanted Jesus to perform some miracles for a show of power, Jesus declined because it was unnecessary (Luke 23:8). When Satan tempted Jesus to jump down from the mountain, Jesus also declined because it was an unnecessary show of power. Believers should avoid unnecessary boasting and fight in the name of the Lord that is borne out of arrogance or pride. Believers should never fear opposition, for God remains the Defender of those who trust Him. At the same time, we must guard against pride, remembering that arrogance always invites destruction. *Question* Am I trusting God's strength in life's battles, or am I relying on human confidence and pride? *2. Appreciative Counting of Blessings* Joshua carefully recorded the kings and their land, whom God had delivered into Israel's hands (Joshua 12:1–5). These verses are more than historical records—they are memorials of divine faithfulness. God's people are encouraged to remember every victory and every answered prayer. Gratitude protects the heart from discouragement and unbelief. When we regularly count our blessings, we discover that God's mercies greatly outweigh our trials. Thanksgiving also prepares us to receive greater blessings from the Lord. As the psalmist puts it, *"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."* This will take a diligent and deliberate effort like Joshua did when he wrote down and recalled the good wonders of God to himself and to the whole Israel. *Question* How often do I deliberately remember and thank God for His past faithfulness in my life? *3. Additions to Covenant for the Beloved* a. The conquered territories were not part of the promised Canaan inheritance. But Sihon and Og lost their land through their pride and arrogance and those blessings were taken from them and added to the children of Israel (Joshua 12:6). After getting victory, Moses assigned the conquered territory to the tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh as their inheritance. God's faithfulness extends beyond victory in battle to the fulfillment of His covenant promises. b. There are several cases where God took away the assigned blessing of the arrogant and added them to the portion of the godly. Reuben and Esau were supposed to have the double blessings of their first born, but they both lost them through carelessness and profanity. Their blessings were added to Judah and Jacob respectively. Jesus warned the Ephesian Church of loss of ministry if they didn't repent from the loss of their first love and the immoral practices of the Nicolaitans(Revelation 2:5). He also warned the Pastor of Philadelphia that if he was not watchful, his crown would be taken from him and be given or added to another person. *"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown"* (Revelation 3:11). Remember, King Saul lost his crown, which was supposed to be generational, to David. The same with Esau and none of them could get his back. Fight and be watchful to retain and enjoy all your blessings and inheritance assigned to you by God. *Question* Am I very watchful and prayerful in ensuring that my blessings and inheritance are not taken from me and transferred to another person? *Prayer Points* 1.Heavenly Father, help me always remember and celebrate Your faithfulness in every season of my life 🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from every form of pride, boasting and unnecessary show of power and grant me victory over every battle confronting my faith 🙏. 3.Give me a grateful heart that continually counts Your blessings instead of focusing on life's difficulties. 4.Give Your children grace to be watchful and prayerful and don't allow anyone to take their assigned blessings and inheritance 🙏. *HYMN:* Count Your Blessings *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 26-29. 2. YOU SHALL SPROUT AGAIN. . TEXT: Job 14:7-9. (KJV). "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant." Other Texts: (Numbers 23:19; Joshua 21:45; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Genesis 21:1–2; Deuteronomy 7:9; Isaiah 55:10–11; Habakkuk 2:3; 1 Kings 8:56.) 🌅 Introduction: There are seasons in life when it appears that everything has come to an end. Dreams seem buried, businesses collapse, ministries become dry, families experience heartbreak, and health fails. The enemy whispers, "It is over." But God declares through Job 14:7, "There is hope." Our God specializes in bringing life out of death, beauty out of ashes, and restoration after devastation. If a tree can sprout again after being cut down, then a child of God can also rise again. No matter how much has been lost, you shall sprout again. I. YOUR SETBACK IS NOT YOUR END. Job 14:7 A tree may be cut down, but its roots remain alive. The enemy may cut down your finances, reputation, relationships, or ministry, but if your roots remain in Christ, your future is secure. Job lost everything, yet God restored him double (Job 42:10-17). Joseph was betrayed, sold into slavery, and imprisoned before becoming governor (Genesis 37; 39-41). Naomi returned to Bethlehem empty, but God filled her again through Ruth (Ruth 1-4). A farmer does not uproot every tree after cutting its branches because he knows that life is still hidden beneath the surface. Likewise, what appears dead to people may still be alive in God's hands. People may write you off, but God has not finished writing your story. 2. THE ROOT DETERMINES THE FUTURE. Job 14:8 "Though the root thereof wax old..." God focuses on the root rather than the branches. The branches represent visible success. The roots represent: Prayer, Faith, Character, Holiness, God's Word A believer with deep roots can recover after any storm. (Psalm 1:3, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Colossians 2:6-7) Never neglect your spiritual roots during difficult seasons. 3. THE SCENT OF WATER BRINGS REVIVAL. Job 14:9 The tree sprouts not because someone pushes it but because it senses water. Throughout Scripture, water represents: The Holy Spirit (John 7:37-39) The Word of God (Ephesians 5:26) God's refreshing presence (Isaiah 44:3) The moment God's presence touches a dry life, restoration begins. Ezekiel's dry bones came alive by God's Spirit (Ezekiel 37:1-14). Samson regained strength when his hair grew again (Judges 16:22). Peter failed terribly, yet Jesus restored him and he became a bold preacher (John 21:15-19). During drought, fields appear lifeless. Yet when rain falls, seeds hidden beneath the soil suddenly germinate. What looked dead was only waiting for the right season. Stay connected to God's presence because one encounter can change everything. 4. GOD RESTORES WHAT SEEMS LOST God is the God of restoration. (Joel 2:25-27, Isaiah 61:7, Psalm 126:1-6) God restores: Lost opportunities, Joy, Peace, Relationships, Ministries, Finances, Health etc. Lazarus came back from the grave (John 11). The Shunammite woman received back her land and possessions (2 Kings 8:1-6). The prodigal son was restored to his father's house (Luke 15:11-24). God's restoration is often greater than what was lost. 5. SPROUTING AGAIN REQUIRES FAITH. Faith sees life where others see death. (Hebrews 11:1, Mark 9:23, Romans 4:17-21) Abraham believed against hope. Sarah conceived in old age. Nothing is impossible with God. Faith keeps believing until God's promise becomes reality. 6. DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS. When a tree sprouts again, it starts with a small shoot. God often begins restoration in small ways. (Zechariah 4:10, Isaiah 60:22) David moved from shepherd boy to king one step at a time (1 Samuel 16; 2 Samuel 5). Celebrate every sign of progress because God often starts small before doing something great. 7. YOUR TESTIMONY WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS. When God restores you, your life becomes a testimony. (Psalm 40:1-3, Revelation 12:11) Others who have lost hope will gain courage because of what God has done for you. LESSONS FOR TODAY'S CHRISTIAN Never conclude your life before God has finished His work. Remain rooted in Christ during difficult seasons. Stay in God's presence because revival comes from Him. Believe that restoration is possible even after great loss. Be patient with God's timing. Small beginnings can lead to great breakthroughs. Your restored life will glorify God and strengthen the faith of others. PRACTICAL APPLICATION Ask yourself: Are my spiritual roots still alive? Am I staying close to God through prayer and His Word? Am I trusting God's promises more than my present circumstances? Am I ready to recognize the new beginning God is bringing? Even if life has "cut you down," God can cause you to sprout again. SUMMARY. The enemy may have cut down your dreams, delayed your progress, or shaken your confidence, but he cannot destroy what God has planted. The same God who restored Job, raised Lazarus, revived dry bones, and restored Peter is still at work today. Your current season is not your final chapter. By the power of the Holy Spirit, new life will emerge from what seemed finished. Your joy will return, your calling will flourish, your faith will grow stronger, and your testimony will declare God's faithfulness. Remember God's promise: "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again..." (Job 14:7, KJV). Declare by faith: I shall sprout again. My hope is alive in Christ. My dry season is coming to an end. God is restoring every area of my life. My latter days shall be greater than my former days. My testimony will bring glory to God. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST 2026 IGNITE YOUTH DEVOTIONAL Topic: Your Mistake Is Not Your Identity Bible Reference For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again. Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV) A Short Story Samuel was doing well in school until he made a serious mistake. He had always been one of the better students in his class, but during an important examination, he allowed fear and pressure to influence him. He cheated, and he was caught. The school punished him, and his parents were deeply disappointed. After that experience, Samuel changed. He stopped believing in himself. Whenever people talked about academic success, he remembered his failure. He began telling himself that he was no longer the responsible person everyone thought he was. Even when teachers encouraged him to work harder, he felt that his past had already ruined his future. One afternoon, his teacher, Mr. James, called him aside after class. He told Samuel that what he had done was wrong and that he should not pretend otherwise. However, he also told him something Samuel needed to hear. You made a bad decision, but you are not a bad person. Take responsibility for what happened, learn from it, and make better decisions from now on. Samuel went home thinking about those words. He realised that he had made two mistakes. The first was cheating in the examination. The second was allowing that mistake to become the way he saw himself. He decided to start again. He apologised to his parents, accepted the consequences of his actions, and became more serious about his studies. He stopped looking for shortcuts and began preparing properly for his examinations. His journey was not easy. There were times when he remembered his past and felt ashamed, but he refused to return to his old way of thinking. Eventually, he became more disciplined and performed much better in his next examinations. Samuel never forgot his mistake, but he stopped allowing it to define him. The experience became a lesson that helped him become more honest, responsible, and disciplined. Today's Message Everybody makes mistakes. Some mistakes are small, while others can have serious consequences. As you grow through your teenage years, young adulthood, career, relationships, business, and family life, you will make decisions that you will later wish you had handled differently. You may fail an examination. You may choose the wrong friends. You may waste money. You may enter a relationship you should have avoided. You may make a poor business decision. You may say something that hurts someone. You may fall into a sinful habit. You may make a decision that brings shame or disappointment. When this happens, do not pretend that the mistake did not happen. Take responsibility for it. Learn from it. Apologise where necessary. Accept correction and make changes. But do not allow one mistake to convince you that your life is over. Proverbs 24:16 says that a righteous person may fall seven times and rise again. The message is not that righteous people never fall. It is that falling does not have to be the end of their story. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus restored him and gave him work to do. David made serious mistakes, yet he humbled himself before God and continued to serve Him. The Bible does not hide the failures of these people because God wants us to understand that failure does not automatically cancel a person's future. You may have made a mistake that you are ashamed of. Perhaps nobody else knows about it, but you think about it whenever you are alone. You may have told yourself that God cannot use you anymore. You may believe that you have gone too far to start again. That is not the message of Scripture. If you have sinned, repent. If you have hurt someone, apologise. If you have made a foolish decision, learn from it. If you need help, seek it. If there are consequences, face them. But after doing what is right, do not spend the rest of your life punishing yourself for a past that God wants to use as a lesson. There is a difference between guilt that leads you to repentance and shame that makes you believe you are worthless. God can correct you without destroying you. His correction is meant to bring you back, not to convince you that you have no future. You also need to be careful about the names you give yourself. Do not keep saying, I am a failure. Do not keep saying, Nothing good can come from me. Do not keep saying, I always make bad decisions. Do not allow a mistake to become your identity. You made a mistake. That is different from saying that you are a mistake. Your past may explain some things about you, but it does not have to control your future. What matters now is what you do with the lesson. Perhaps you failed in one area of your life. That does not mean you must fail in every other area. Perhaps one relationship ended badly. That does not mean you can never have a healthy relationship. Perhaps your business failed. That does not mean you can never become successful. Perhaps you performed badly in school. That does not mean you cannot improve. Start again with wisdom. This time, do things differently. Get better advice. Build better habits. Choose better friends. Study harder. Pray more. Ask questions. Be accountable. Avoid the environment that led you into the mistake. Starting again does not mean returning to the same behaviour and expecting a different result. It means taking what you have learned and using it to make better choices. Your story is not finished because you made a mistake. There is still room to grow. There is still room to change. There is still room to rebuild. There is still room to become better. Get up and keep moving. What To Do Today 1. Think about one past mistake that still affects the way you see yourself. 2. Accept responsibility for it, learn the lesson, and decide what you will do differently. 3. If you need to apologise or make something right, take that step. 4. Stop describing yourself by your past mistakes and begin focusing on the person you are becoming. Prayer Lord, help me to learn from my mistakes without allowing them to destroy my confidence or my future. Give me the humility to accept correction, the courage to apologise when I am wrong, and the wisdom to make better decisions. Help me to receive Your forgiveness and move forward with a clean heart. Teach me to see myself through Your Word and not through my past failures. Give me grace to rise again and become the person You have called me to be. In Jesus' name, Amen. Daily Challenge Think of one mistake you have allowed to define you. Write down the lesson you learned from it, then make one decision today that shows you are moving forward. TURNING TRASH INTO TREASURE By Pastor Jonathan Ubah Text: Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” INTRODUCTION Beloved, there are seasons when life can make you feel like trash—rejected, forgotten, broken, disappointed, or useless. Sometimes people look at your past and conclude that nothing good can come from you. But I came to announce to somebody today: God is a specialist in turning trash into treasure! What people reject, God can select. What people discard, God can develop. What looks like a wasted season can become a powerful testimony. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:27, “God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise.” God does not always choose what looks valuable to men. He sees what others cannot see. 1. GOD CAN USE YOUR BROKENNESS Psalm 34:18: “The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart.” Sometimes we think our brokenness disqualifies us, but God can work through broken things. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, thrown into a pit, and sold into slavery. His circumstances looked like trash, but God was preparing him for the palace. Genesis 50:20 says, “You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.” Your pain is not necessarily your punishment. Sometimes God uses painful seasons to prepare us for greater purposes. Don't despise your broken pieces. Put them in the hands of God. 2. GOD CAN TURN YOUR FAILURE INTO A TESTIMONY Micah 7:8: “When I fall, I will arise.” Failure is not final unless you choose to remain down. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus restored him and later used him mightily in the early Church (John 21:15–17; Acts 2:14–41). You may have made mistakes. You may have taken the wrong turn. You may have experienced things you are not proud of. But hear this: Your failure is an event, not your identity. The enemy wants you to look at what you did and conclude that you are finished. But God looks at you and sees what you can become by His grace. Proverbs 24:16 says, “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.” Get up! Wash your tears. Learn from the experience. Return to God and keep moving. God can turn your mess into a message and your test into a testimony. 3. GOD CAN TURN REJECTION INTO DIVINE ELEVATION Psalm 118:22: “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” Jesus Himself was rejected by men, yet He became the cornerstone of God's redemptive plan. David was overlooked by his own family when Samuel came looking for the future king. His brothers were presented, but David was left in the field. Yet God said in 1 Samuel 16:12: “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” Never allow people's rejection to make you reject yourself. Sometimes rejection is God's way of redirecting you. Some doors closed because God was preparing another door. Some people walked away because they were never assigned to your destiny. What they rejected may be exactly what God will use to announce you. CONCLUSION Beloved, the trash is not the final destination of what God has chosen. Joseph went from the pit to the palace. David went from the field to the throne. Peter went from denial to becoming a powerful witness for Christ. And if God could transform their stories, He can transform yours. Your past is not too dirty for His grace. Your failure is not too great for His mercy. Your rejection is not too strong for His purpose. Give God your broken pieces. The same God who turned water into wine can turn your sorrow into joy, your weakness into strength, your failure into wisdom, and your trash into treasure. PROPHETIC DECLARATION I declare over your life: Every rejected area of your life shall become a testimony. Every painful experience shall produce purpose. Every closed door shall lead you to God's appointed door. Your wasted seasons shall be redeemed, and God shall turn your trash into treasure! You will not die in the place of rejection. You will not remain in the place of brokenness. You will arise, shine, and fulfill God's purpose for your life. Your story is changing! Your testimony is coming! Your treasure is emerging! *TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)* *LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY,AUGUST 29, 2026* *TOPIC: COMPLETE RESTORATION IN CHRIST* *BIBLE VERSE* “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” -2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) *MEDITATION* The greatest restoration God can give a person is not merely the recovery of possessions, opportunities, health, relationships, or earthly achievements; it is the restoration of the person himself through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Sin damages the human spirit, distorts identity, separates people from God, and produces consequences that affect every area of life. Yet when a person comes to Christ, God begins a transformation that reaches the very foundation of his existence. Paul declares, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” This means that salvation is not simply an improvement of the old life but the beginning of a new life in Christ. The believer receives a new identity, a new relationship with God, a new spiritual position, and a new direction. The old things no longer have the authority to define who that person must become because Christ has introduced the believer into a new creation. The transformation produced by knowing Christ is beautifully demonstrated in the life of Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector who had become wealthy through a profession associated with exploitation and dishonesty, and his community regarded him as a sinner (Luke 19:1–7). Yet when Jesus entered his life, something profound happened. Zacchaeus did not merely express admiration for Jesus; his encounter with Christ produced a transformation in his values and behaviour. He declared, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold” (Luke 19:8). Jesus responded, “This day is salvation come to this house” (Luke 19:9). His encounter with Christ affected his relationship with money, his relationship with people, his sense of responsibility, and his understanding of righteousness. This demonstrates that genuine knowledge of Christ produces visible changes in the life of the believer. The Apostle Paul himself provides another powerful example of complete transformation. Before his encounter with Christ, Paul was passionately persecuting the Church, believing that he was doing God's will (Acts 8:3; 9:1–2). But when Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus, his entire direction changed (Acts 9:3–6). The persecutor became a preacher, the destroyer of Christian lives became a builder of the Church, and the man who had once opposed Christ devoted the remainder of his life to proclaiming the gospel. Paul later wrote, “I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8). His transformation demonstrates that no past is so destructive that Christ cannot redeem the person who surrenders to Him. God does not merely erase the record of our past; He gives us a new purpose through which our restored lives can become instruments of His kingdom. Complete restoration in Christ also involves the restoration of our relationship with God. Sin separated humanity from God, but Christ came to reconcile us to the Father. Scripture declares, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:18). Through Christ, the guilty receive forgiveness, the condemned receive justification, the alienated are brought near, and those who were spiritually dead are made alive. Ephesians 2:13 declares, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” This is the deepest dimension of divine restoration because every other blessing finds its proper place when the believer is reconciled to God. Material restoration without spiritual restoration cannot satisfy the deepest needs of the human soul, but when Christ restores the heart, He establishes a foundation upon which every other aspect of life can be rebuilt according to His will. The new life in Christ is not only about what God has delivered us from; it is also about what He is continually making us into. Romans 12:2 instructs believers, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The believer therefore cooperates with God's transforming work by continually submitting to His Word, walking in the Spirit, pursuing holiness, forgiving others, developing godly character, and growing in the knowledge of Christ. The disciples provide an encouraging example of this process. They began as ordinary men with weaknesses, misunderstandings, fears, and ambitions, yet through their relationship with Jesus they were progressively transformed into bold witnesses of the gospel. Peter, who once denied Christ, eventually proclaimed Him publicly with extraordinary courage (Acts 2:14–41). Restoration in Christ is therefore both an event and a continuing journey: we become new in Christ, and then we continue to be renewed as we walk with Him. If you have experienced losses, failures, disappointments, or seasons that have left you feeling broken, remember that Christ does not merely want to restore isolated parts of your life; He wants to make you new. Your past may contain mistakes, but it does not have to determine your future. Your failures may have wounded you, but they do not have to become your identity. Your losses may have changed your circumstances, but they cannot cancel God's ability to give your life new meaning and purpose. “Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Come to Christ again and again with every broken area of your life, allowing His grace to transform your heart, renew your mind, restore your relationship with God, and redirect your purpose. The ultimate evidence of restoration is not simply that you possess more than you once possessed, but that you have become more like Christ. In Christ, restoration reaches its fullest expression when a broken life becomes a new creation and a wounded story becomes a testimony of God's transforming grace. *PRAYER* Heavenly Father, thank You for the complete restoration that is available in Christ. Make me new in every area of my life, renew my mind, heal my heart, restore my relationship with You, and transform my character and purpose. Let everything that belongs to the old life lose its power over me, and let the beauty of Christ be revealed through my restored life. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

✝️ THE GOSPEL FROM CALVARY 📅 Friday, 28th August, 2026 👁️ JESUS: THE LIGHT THAT OPENS BLIND EYES ✝️🔥 📜 TEXT: JOHN 9:1–41 📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: «“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” — John 9:5 (KJV)» John 9 introduces us to a man who had been blind from birth. His blindness had become the subject of questions and assumptions. The disciples asked Jesus whether the man's blindness was caused by his own sin or the sin of his parents. But Jesus redirected their attention from blame to God's purpose. He said: «“Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” — John 9:3» Jesus then healed the man. But the miracle did more than open physical eyes. It revealed a deeper truth: Jesus came to open spiritual eyes and lead people from darkness into His marvelous light. 🕯️❤️‍🔥 🔥 THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 9 1️⃣ DON'T ALLOW YOUR PAST CONDITION TO DEFINE YOUR FUTURE. 🌿 The man had been blind from birth. His condition had existed for years, but Jesus was not limited by how long the problem had lasted. Some situations may look permanent to people, but they are not beyond the power of God. You may have struggled with something for years. You may have experienced repeated disappointments. You may have been told that nothing can change. But remember: Jesus is still able to change lives. Don't allow your history to become your identity. Don't allow people's opinions to become your destiny. Keep trusting Christ. 👁️ 2️⃣ JESUS OPENS BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL EYES. ✝️ Jesus gave sight to the blind man, but the greater miracle was the man's growing understanding of who Jesus was. At first, he referred to Jesus as: “a man.” Later, he recognized Him as a prophet. Eventually, he worshipped Jesus. His physical eyes were opened, but his spiritual understanding also grew. This is what Jesus wants to do in our lives. He wants us to see: 👁️ His truth. 👁️ His purpose. 👁️ His holiness. 👁️ His love. 👁️ His identity. There are people who can see physically but remain spiritually blind. Ask Jesus to open your spiritual eyes. 🙏🏽🔥 ⚠️ 3️⃣ DON'T LET RELIGION PREVENT YOU FROM RECOGNIZING GOD'S WORK. The religious leaders saw the miracle, but instead of celebrating, they questioned it. They were more concerned about their religious expectations than the man who had received his sight. This is a serious warning. Sometimes people can become so attached to traditions, opinions, and personal expectations that they fail to recognize what God is doing. Don't let pride blind you. Don't let tradition blind you. Don't let jealousy blind you. Don't let bitterness blind you. Don't let familiarity blind you. Keep your heart humble before God. 🔥 THE MAN REFUSED TO DENY HIS TESTIMONY When the religious leaders questioned him, the healed man simply declared what he knew: «“One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” — John 9:25» What a powerful testimony! He did not have answers to every theological argument. But he knew what Jesus had done for him. As believers, we should never be ashamed of our testimony. You may not know how to answer every question. You may not understand everything about God. But you can testify: “I was lost, but Jesus found me.” “I was broken, but Jesus restored me.” “I was in darkness, but Jesus brought me into His light.” Your testimony can point someone to Christ. 🌍✝️ ❤️‍🔥 DON'T BE AFRAID TO STAND FOR JESUS The healed man was eventually rejected because he refused to deny the One who healed him. His testimony cost him something. Following Jesus will sometimes require courage. People may misunderstand you. People may criticize your faith. People may reject your convictions. But don't abandon Christ to gain human acceptance. Stand for Jesus. The One who opened your eyes is worth following. 🔥 🕯️ SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN PHYSICAL BLINDNESS At the end of the chapter, Jesus confronted those who claimed to see but refused to recognize Him. Physical blindness can limit your ability to see the world. But spiritual blindness can keep you from seeing the truth about God. Therefore, pray: “Lord, open my eyes.” Open my eyes to Your Word. Open my eyes to my weaknesses. Open my eyes to Your purpose. Open my eyes to the needs of others. Open my eyes to opportunities to serve You. Open my eyes to the truth of the Gospel. 👑 JESUS IS STILL THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD Jesus declared: «“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” — John 9:5» Where Jesus is present, darkness does not have the final word. He brings light into confusion. He brings hope into despair. He brings forgiveness to sinners. He brings direction to the lost. He brings spiritual sight to those who believe. Walk with Jesus, and don't return to darkness. 🕯️🔥 ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When Jesus opens your eyes, don't return to the darkness you once lived in. Walk in His light, stand by your testimony, and help others see Christ. ✝️🔥 🙏🏽 PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. Lord, open my spiritual eyes. Help me to see Your truth clearly and recognize Your purpose for my life. Where I have been spiritually blind, give me understanding. Where I have been confused, give me direction. Where I have allowed sin to darken my heart, bring me back into Your light. Give me courage like the man in John 9 to stand firmly for Christ and testify about what You have done in my life. Help me never to allow people's opinions to silence my faith. Use my testimony to lead others to Jesus. May I continually walk in Your light and reflect that light to the world around me. There may be moments when things don’t make sense, your efforts seem unnoticed, and the results you are expecting are taking longer than you imagined. But remember, delay is not denial, and a difficult season is not the end of your story. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep building your craft. Keep showing up, even when you don't feel like it. The skills, knowledge, discipline, and experience you are developing today may become the foundation for the opportunities you have been praying for tomorrow. I pray that as you read this, hope is restored back to you in Jesus' Name. May you receive fresh strength to continue, courage to start again, and faith to believe that God is still working behind the scenes. Don't quit because it is hard. Keep building. Keep believing. *OBEDIENCE OPENS DOORS* 2 Kings 5:10 *“Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, ‘Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed."* God’s instructions may not make sense, but they always lead to miracles. Naaman was a great man. Commander of an army, respected, powerful, and wealthy. But he had one problem: leprosy. When he heard about the prophet Elisha in Israel, he came with horses, chariots, and silver expecting a big ceremony. Instead, Elisha didn’t even come out. He sent a servant with one instruction: “Go wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River.” Naaman was offended. “Are not Abana and Pharpar better than all the waters of Israel?” 2 Kings 5:12. It sounded too simple. Too ordinary. He almost walked away and missed his healing. But his servants talked sense into him: _“If the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it?”_ So Naaman swallowed his pride, went to the Jordan, and dipped. One time. Two times... Seven times. On the seventh dip, his skin was restored. The miracle was in the obedience. We often want God to move in a grand, dramatic way. But God tests our faith in simple, sometimes illogical instructions. The Jordan didn’t heal Naaman. Obedience did. Some of the doors in your life are tied to a “dip seven times” instruction from God. It may look small. It may look embarrassing. It may not match how you thought God would do it. But obedience is the key. Don’t despise small instructions. The thing God is asking you to do today might be the thing that unlocks your next season. Lay down pride. Naaman almost missed his miracle because he wanted it his way. God’s way is always better. Keep going to seven. Don’t stop at dip 3 or 4. Full obedience brings full restoration. *Prayer:* Father, teach me to obey even when I don’t understand. Forgive me for times I’ve dismissed Your simple instructions because they didn’t look impressive. Give me the humility and the faith to follow through to the end. In Jesus’ name, Amen. *Shalom❤️*

Hear me, evil doers — workers of iniquity — around nations — altars of darkness — voices — persecutors — lovers of sin. God has judged His house first — and finished. You saw Red 7 vision l saw in sky after vanished was first a disciplinary action of suffering , which was subjected on me His house that l had fallen. and I repented as his house of my fall + shame before God & got cleansed by his blood. 1john1:7 & his word in eph5:26-27 which made me pure before God. 1Tim4:5. Thus this discplined me, corrected me & restored holiness back to me— born again — true Israel — Believer not practising sin. His word says in 1peter4:17-18 after this judgement of correction made on His house-- me & done . Now subjected to evil doers now.. thus repent, obey & live pure before God through faith in Christ or refuse will perish in sin. My hedge was bleached — not removed — to test — to purify. Job 2:6 — Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life. I was wounded — motorcycle, dog, flesh torn — but not given to death — Ps 118:18 — Lord chastened me severely, but has not given me over to death. My faith was tested by fire — 1 Pet 1:7 — but failed NOT — gold came out pure — Job 23:10 — I shall come forth as gold. Red No.7 means complete — John 19:30 — It is finished. My correction is done. NOW YOUR TURN — JUDGEMENT OF CORRECTION NOW ON YOU 1 Pet 4:17 — if it begins with us first, what will be end of you? Because God finished with His house, He now turns to you. Your judgement of correction is now set — now subjected on you — this is order of God — Ezek 18:30 — Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. This is not accident — this is ORDER on you. And hear warning: This punishment to you will be harsher than that subjected on His house. Luke 12:47-48 — that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare... shall be beaten with many stripes. For everyone to whom much is given, much will be required. To His house — bleach hedge — wound — but spare life — to preserve for calling. To you evil doers — many stripes — because you knew — you built altars — you sent voices — Eph 6:12 — you fought calling that fights Satan — 1 John 3:8 — you persecuted to make calling fail — Rev 12:17 — you knew. To me — chastening of son — Heb 12:6 — whom Lord loves He chastens. To you — wrath of judge — Heb 12:8 — if you are without chastening... then you are illegitimate and not sons. Matt 10:15 — it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in day of judgment than for that city. Heb 10:29 — Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled Son of God underfoot? Voices — of evil altars — the motorcycle accident — dog hit in accident— God counted them. Now unless you repent and live pure before God through faith in Christ, harsher correction falls — disease beyond wound — torment beyond voices — shame beyond nakedness — loss beyond flesh — Ps 11:6 — Upon wicked He will rain coals; fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be portion of their cup. WHAT GOD DEMANDS NOW: Repent — Acts 17:30 — God now commands all men everywhere to repent. Believe in faith — 1 John 1:7 — blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin — 1 Tim 4:5 — sanctified by Word and prayer. Live pure — Rev 14:4-5 — These are ones not defiled... without fault before throne of God — 1 John 3:9 — whoever born of God does not practice sin. Be true Israel — not practising sin — Matt 6:33 — seek first Kingdom and His righteousness, and much more shall be added. IF YOU REFUSE — JUDGEMENT OF DESTRUCTION FOLLOWS If you refuse to repent now in this correction — judgement of destruction is already appointed. Prov 11:21 — Though hand join in hand, wicked shall not go unpunished. 1 Pet 4:18 — If righteous one scarcely saved, where will ungodly and sinner appear? 2 Thess 1:8-9 — In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from presence of Lord. Rev 20:15 — Anyone not found written in Book of Life was cast into lake of fire. Gal 6:7 — Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; whatever man sows, that he will reap.
