1 Chronicles 3

The Preserved Line of the Promised King

1 Chronicles 3 continues tracing the family line of Judah by focusing specifically on the descendants of David. The chapter records David’s sons, the kings who followed him, and the continuation of the royal family after the Babylonian exile. Although it consists largely of names, it carries a powerful message about God’s faithfulness to His covenant.

The chapter begins with the sons born to David during his reign in Hebron and Jerusalem. David’s family history includes both blessing and brokenness. Some of his sons became connected with painful moments of rebellion, rivalry, and personal tragedy. Yet God’s redemptive purposes continued even through an imperfect household.

The genealogy then follows the royal line through Solomon. God had promised David that his house, kingdom, and throne would be established according to His covenant purpose. Solomon became the immediate heir to that promise, but the covenant pointed beyond him toward a greater and eternal King.

As the names of Judah’s kings are recorded, the chapter quietly summarizes generations of leadership. Some kings followed the Lord faithfully, while others led the nation into compromise and idolatry. Their reigns differed greatly, but God continued preserving the royal line. The covenant remained secure, not because every descendant was faithful, but because God was faithful.

The genealogy continues through the Babylonian exile. Jerusalem had fallen, the temple had been destroyed, and the visible kingdom of David appeared to have ended. Yet the family line continued. Even in exile, God preserved the descendants through whom His promise would ultimately be fulfilled.
This demonstrates that exile did not cancel God’s covenant. Human failure brought discipline and loss, but it could not overturn the Lord’s redemptive plan. What appeared to be the end of the kingdom was only another stage in God’s preparation for the coming Messiah.

Theologically, 1 Chronicles 3 reveals God’s sovereign preservation of the Davidic line. Earthly kings failed, kingdoms declined, and the nation entered captivity, yet God’s promise remained alive. His covenant depended upon His own faithfulness rather than the strength or righteousness of human rulers.
This chapter points directly to Jesus Christ, the promised Son of David. He is the true heir to David’s throne and the King whose reign will never end. The royal genealogy preserved through exile ultimately leads to Christ, in whom every promise concerning David’s kingdom finds complete fulfillment.

For believers today, 1 Chronicles 3 reminds us that God’s promises remain secure even when circumstances appear hopeless. Human failure, national instability, and seasons of discipline cannot destroy what God has determined to accomplish. In Christ, we belong to an eternal kingdom ruled by the faithful King. We can trust that the God who preserved His promise through generations will remain faithful in every season of our lives.

1 Chronicles 4

God’s Grace Among Ordinary People

1 Chronicles 4 continues the genealogical record of Judah and also traces the descendants of Simeon. The chapter contains many names unfamiliar to modern readers, yet each one represents a person, family, occupation, and place remembered within the history of God’s covenant people. The chapter reminds us that God’s work is carried forward not only through famous kings and prophets but also through ordinary individuals and families.

Among the genealogy appears the brief account of Jabez. His name is connected with pain, but his life is not controlled by that beginning. Jabez calls upon the God of Israel, asking for blessing, enlarged influence, divine guidance, and protection from evil. God grants his request.

The account of Jabez does not teach that prayer is a formula for personal prosperity. Instead, it reveals a man who recognizes his complete dependence upon God. He does not rely upon his background, strength, or family position. He asks the Lord to direct his future and keep him from the evil that could bring further sorrow.

His story demonstrates that a difficult beginning does not have to determine a person’s future. God’s grace is greater than the circumstances surrounding our birth, family history, or past experiences. When people seek Him sincerely, He is able to lead them beyond the limitations others may place upon them.

The chapter also mentions craftsmen, potters, workers, leaders, and families who occupied particular towns and fulfilled practical responsibilities. These details reveal that ordinary work has value within God’s purposes. Service does not need to be publicly recognized to matter to the Lord.

The descendants of Simeon are also described as seeking land for their flocks and defeating enemies who occupied the territory. Their account reflects the importance of courage, diligence, and acting upon the opportunities God provides. They did not remain passive but worked together to establish a place for their families.

At the same time, the chapter must be understood within the unfolding history of Israel. These families were living within the covenant structure God had established for His people. Their victories, settlements, occupations, and family lines all formed part of the larger story leading toward the kingdom of David and ultimately toward Christ.

Theologically, 1 Chronicles 4 reveals that God works through both prominent and ordinary people. He hears prayer, directs families, gives meaningful work, and uses faithful lives within His redemptive plan. The chapter also demonstrates that identity is not determined merely by pain or human circumstances but by God’s grace and calling.

This chapter points to Christ, who brings people into a new identity that is not controlled by their past. Through Jesus, believers receive forgiveness, spiritual blessing, divine purpose, and deliverance from the power of evil. He enlarges our influence not for selfish ambition but so that our lives may display His grace and advance His kingdom.

For believers today, 1 Chronicles 4 reminds us that no life is insignificant to God. He sees faithful service that others overlook, hears the prayers of those who depend upon Him, and can redeem even painful beginnings. In Christ, our past does not define our future. We are called to seek God’s hand upon our lives, serve faithfully wherever He places us, and use every opportunity for His glory and the advancement of His redemptive purposes.

Ephesians 4 — Walking Worthy of the Calling in the Christ

Ephesians chapter 4 marks the transition from the doctrinal truths of the first half of the letter to the practical application of those truths. Having explained all that believers possess through the Christ, the Son of God, Paul now calls them to live in a manner worthy of their calling. Christian living is the natural response to God's redemptive plan. The believer's conduct should reflect the grace, unity, and holiness that have already been provided through the Christ.

The chapter begins with an appeal to walk worthy of the calling believers have received. This worthy walk is characterized by humility, gentleness, patience, and love. These qualities reflect the character of the Son of God and preserve the unity of His Church. The redemptive plan has brought believers into one family, and Christian living seeks to protect that unity through selfless love rather than personal ambition.

Paul emphasizes that there is one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father. This repeated emphasis on oneness reveals that unity is not created by believers but given by God through the Christ. The Son of God has already made His people one, and they are now called to live consistently with that reality.

The chapter also teaches that the Christ has given spiritual gifts to His Church. These gifts are not for personal recognition but for equipping believers, strengthening the body, and advancing God's kingdom. The redemptive plan includes the growth and maturity of the Church as every believer faithfully serves according to the grace given by the Son of God. Christian living is never passive; every believer has a meaningful role in building up the body of Christ.

As believers mature, they become stable in their faith and are no longer easily influenced by false teaching or spiritual deception. Instead, they grow by speaking the truth in love while remaining firmly connected to the Christ, who is the head of the Church. Spiritual maturity is measured not merely by knowledge but by increasing conformity to the character of the Son of God.

Paul then contrasts the believer's new life with the old way of living. Those who do not know the Christ continue in spiritual darkness because they are separated from the life of God. But believers have learned a different way through the Son of God. The redemptive plan transforms the heart, leading to an entirely new pattern of living. Christian living involves putting away the old sinful lifestyle and embracing the new life created by God's grace.

The chapter describes this transformation as putting off the old self and putting on the new self. This new life reflects God's righteousness and holiness because it is created through the work of the Christ. The change is not merely outward behavior but inward renewal as the believer's mind is continually shaped by God's truth.

Paul then applies these principles to everyday relationships. Believers are called to speak truthfully, control anger, work honestly, use words that encourage rather than destroy, show kindness, forgive one another, and avoid attitudes that grieve the Holy Spirit. Every area of life is to reflect the grace believers have received through the Son of God. Christian living is demonstrated not only in public worship but also in ordinary conversations, relationships, and daily choices.

The chapter concludes with one of its greatest exhortations: believers are to forgive one another because God has forgiven them in the Christ. Forgiveness is not based on human merit but on the immeasurable grace demonstrated through the cross. The redemptive plan continually calls believers to extend to others the same mercy they have received from the Son of God.

Throughout Ephesians chapter 4, the Christ remains the center of the believer's new life. He unites His Church, equips His people, transforms their character, and provides the perfect example of humility, truth, and forgiveness. Every aspect of Christian living flows from the new identity believers have received through Him.

For believers today, this chapter reminds us that our conduct should reflect our calling in the Christ. Christian living is marked by humility, unity, spiritual maturity, and continual transformation. We are called to leave behind the old way of life and daily put on the character of the Son of God. As we speak truth in love, serve one another faithfully, forgive freely, and walk in holiness, we become living demonstrations of God's redemptive plan and faithful witnesses to the transforming grace of the Christ.

Rev 14:1 — Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 having His Father's Name written on their foreheads
Rev 14:3 — Redeemed from earth
Rev 14:4 — These are ones who were not defiled... for they are virgins. These are ones who follow Lamb wherever He goes. Redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to Lamb
Rev 14:5 — And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before throne of God

This is standard of final salvation — Pure & blameless.

POINT 1: HOW DO YOU HAVE THIS? NOT BY YOUR EFFORTS BUT BY GOD'S REDEMPTIVE GRACE OF JESUS' BLOOD AND OUR FAITHFULNESS

Eph 2:8-9 — For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is gift of God, not of works
Titus 2:11-12 — Grace of God... teaches us to deny ungodliness
Eph 1:7 — In Him we have redemption through His blood according to riches of His grace
Rev 17:14 — Those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful

Word + Prayer = Purity. That is formula for 144000 formation.

POINT 5: IN THIS LAST AGE WITH THAT BATTLE — TRUE REPENTANCE & BLOOD WASH IS CRUCIAL

True repentance = turning away from sin or evil you did & don't do it again.

Acts 3:19 — Repent therefore and be converted, that sins may be blotted out
2 Cor 7:10 — Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation
Prov 28:13 — He who confesses and forsakes will have mercy
Luke 3:8 — Bear fruits worthy of repentance
1 John 3:9 — Whoever born of God does not practice sin

Blood washes, purifies you:

POINT 6: THINGS THAT MUST BE AVOIDED FOR PURITY EARNING — SIN

Gal 5:19-21 — Works of flesh are evident: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries
1 Cor 6:9-10 — Neither fornicators, adulterers, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, extortioners will inherit kingdom
Eph 4:31 — Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking be put away

POINT 7: NOT GOING TO RUN THIS CLEAN RACE TO FINAL SALVATION BY THY EFFORTS BUT BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Zech 4:6 — Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit
Phil 2:13 — It is God who works in you both to will and to do
Titus 3:5 — Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us
2 Tim 1:9 — Saved us... not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace

Your part is faithfulness — His part is grace to keep you.

POINT 8: YOU NEED TO PRAY THE WORD THAT CLEANSES US — DAVID SAYS HIS WORD KEEPS ME BLAMELESS AND IN WALK OF RIGHT PATH

Ps 119:9, 11 — Cleanses way, keeps from sin
Ps 18:23 — I was also blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity
Ps 119:133 — Direct my steps by Your word
Ps 37:31 — Law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide

POINT 9: ENSURE YOU BELIEVE IN THY PRAYING — PRAYER IN FAITH = WORKS, NOT FAITH ALONE — BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED — SPEAK THAT YOU BELIEVE

2 Cor 4:13 — We having same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak
Mark 11:23-24 — Whoever says... and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore... whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them

Believing = works of faith. When you pray minus faith, and don't see it, this might fail your prayer.

So in this, your prayer is sealed with faith & works.

CONCLUSION & ALTAR CALL PRAYER:

Therefore — Believe = works of faith — John 6:29 — And you will receive, it will be done unto you — Mark 11:24

Today we choose to be pure & blameless like 144000 — Not by efforts but by grace through faithfulness — Turning, washed by Blood, avoiding sin, by word & prayer, believing we have received purity.

1 John 3:3 — Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure

Let us pray Rev 14:1-5 prayer we made — And believe we have received it —

ARE YOU REALLY FIGHTING PORNOGRAPHY—OR NEGOTIATING WITH IT?
A Christian Call to Declare War on Sexual Sin

There comes a point in every Christian’s battle with pornography when we need to stop asking, “How can I manage this temptation?”

And start asking:

“How badly do I want to be free?”

Because pornography is not harmless entertainment.

It is not merely a private weakness.

It is not something Christians should simply learn to “live with.”

It is a temptation that can become an enslaving pattern of lust, fantasy, secrecy and sin. It can consume the imagination, corrupt the way we see other people, damage marriages and relationships, steal time, weaken prayer, and draw the heart away from the purity to which Christ has called His people.

And if you are a Christian who is fighting pornography, you need to understand something:

You are in a fight.

The question is whether you are actually fighting.

Or whether you are negotiating.

STOP NEGOTIATING WITH TEMPTATION

One of the greatest mistakes we make with temptation is giving it a conversation.

“I’ll just look for a minute.”

“I won’t go any further.”

“I’ve been good for two weeks.”

“This isn’t really pornography.”

“Nobody knows.”

“God will forgive me.”

That isn’t resistance.

That’s negotiation.

And Scripture doesn’t tell us to negotiate with sexual temptation.

It tells us to flee.

“Flee fornication.”

— 1 Corinthians 6:18

Paul told Timothy:

“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

— 2 Timothy 2:22

Notice the word:

FLEE.

Not debate.

Not analyze.

Not negotiate.

Not see how close you can get without crossing the line.

Run.

Joseph understood this.

When Potiphar’s wife attempted to seduce him, Joseph didn’t stay around to see how strong his resistance would be.

When she grabbed him, Scripture says:

“And he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.”

— Genesis 39:12

Joseph ran.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is close the laptop.

Sometimes it’s putting the phone down.

Sometimes it’s getting out of bed.

Sometimes it’s leaving the room.

Sometimes it’s calling your accountability partner.

Sometimes it’s getting on your knees.

FLEE.

JESUS DIDN’T NEGOTIATE WITH SATAN

Look at Jesus in the wilderness.

Satan came when Jesus was physically weakened after fasting forty days and forty nights.

The devil tempted Him.

And what did Jesus do?

He didn’t engage Satan in a philosophical debate.

He didn’t entertain the temptation.

He didn’t say, “Let me think about that.”

He said:

“It is written.”

When Satan tempted Him to turn stones into bread, Jesus answered:

“It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

— Matthew 4:4

When Satan twisted Scripture to tempt Him again, Jesus answered:

“It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

— Matthew 4:7

And when Satan offered Him the kingdoms of the world:

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

— Matthew 4:10

Three temptations.

Three answers rooted in Scripture.

“It is written.”

That’s your model.

When pornography comes knocking, you need something stronger than emotion.

Something stronger than willpower.

Something stronger than the promise that “this will make you feel good.”

You need the Word of God.

David said:

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

— Psalm 119:11

Don’t wait until you’re already looking at pornography to start thinking about holiness.

Put the Word in your heart now.

DECLARE WAR

Let’s be blunt.

If pornography has become a recurring sin in your life, declare war on it.

Don’t declare war on it tomorrow.

Don’t declare war on it after one more failure.

Declare war today.

Jesus used deliberately shocking language when describing how seriously we must treat sin:

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:29

And:

“And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:30

Jesus is not commanding literal self-mutilation.

He is teaching us that we must deal with sin radically and decisively.

If your smartphone repeatedly becomes the doorway to pornography, change how you use your smartphone.

If being alone late at night repeatedly leads you into sin, change your nighttime routine.

If particular websites, social-media accounts, or applications trigger lust, eliminate them.

If unrestricted internet access is destroying your purity, install safeguards.

If secrecy is feeding the problem, bring it into the light.

Stop protecting your access to the sin you claim you want to defeat.

ARE YOU REALLY STRUGGLING?

This is where the question gets uncomfortable.

A Christian can struggle with sin.

Paul describes the conflict between flesh and Spirit:

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other…”

— Galatians 5:17

There is a battle.

There is resistance.

There is conflict.

But ask yourself:

Are you actually resisting?

Are you praying?

Are you fasting?

Are you reading Scripture?

Do you have an accountability partner?

Have you told another mature Christian about the problem?

Have you installed accountability software?

Have you removed private access to pornography?

Have you changed your routines?

Have you identified your triggers?

Have you stopped following accounts that stimulate lust?

Have you changed the environment in which you repeatedly fall?

Are you seeking pastoral help?

Are you willing to seek professional Christian counseling when appropriate?

Are you willing to seek a biblically grounded deliverance ministry if you believe you are dealing with entrenched spiritual bondage?

Or are you simply saying:

“I really want to stop”

while keeping every door open?

That’s not war.

That’s a weak attempt to negotiate a ceasefire with your own sin.

Commit.

MAKE PORNOGRAPHY YOUR ENEMY

Paul says:

“Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God…”

— Romans 6:13

You have a choice about what you present yourself to.

What are you yielding?

Your eyes?

Your imagination?

Your phone?

Your computer?

Your time?

Your sexuality?

Your mind?

Your body?

Who gets them?

Pornography wants them.

Christ wants them.

Choose.

DON’T BE IDLE

Idleness can become an open door.

If you are constantly alone, bored, scrolling, lying in bed, wandering through the internet, and allowing your mind to drift wherever it wants, don’t be surprised when temptation finds you.

Get busy.

Work.

Exercise.

Study.

Read.

Serve.

Pray.

Go outside.

Spend time with people.

Serve the church.

Build something.

Learn something.

Pursue your calling.

Paul instructed believers:

“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands…”

— 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Don’t give temptation an empty house to occupy.

BRING THE BATTLE INTO THE LIGHT

Pornography thrives in secrecy.

That is why accountability matters.

James says:

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.”

— James 5:16

Find someone trustworthy.

A mature Christian man.

A pastor.

A mentor.

An accountability partner.

Someone who will actually ask you the hard questions.

Not:

“Everything okay?”

But:

“Have you looked at pornography?”

“Have you intentionally searched for sexually explicit material?”

“Are there apps on your phone that you are hiding?”

“Have you been honest with me?”

You don’t need someone who merely makes you feel better.

You need someone who loves you enough to tell you the truth.

SAFEGUARD YOUR DEVICES

Let’s stop pretending that technology is neutral when we know how we are using it.

If your phone is the primary gateway to your sin, safeguard your phone.

If your laptop is the gateway, safeguard your laptop.

Use reputable filtering and accountability tools.

Remove applications that repeatedly lead you into temptation.

Don’t sleep with an unrestricted device beside your bed if nighttime is when you repeatedly fall.

Don’t keep secret browsers.

Don’t create hidden accounts.

Don’t maintain a private digital world that nobody else knows exists.

Jesus said:

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:29

The principle is clear:

Remove the access point.

FAST AND PRAY

There are battles that should drive us to our knees.

Jesus Himself fasted when He entered the wilderness.

Matthew records:

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

— Matthew 4:1

And:

“And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.”

— Matthew 4:2

Fasting isn’t a magic formula.

It doesn’t purchase God’s favor.

But it can become a powerful expression of humility and dependence upon God.

Tell the Lord:

“Jesus, I cannot conquer this in my own strength. I need You.”

Pray when the temptation comes.

Pray before it comes.

Pray when you are strong.

Pray when you are weak.

And believe God.

Paul says:

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful…”

— 1 Corinthians 10:13

And then comes one of the greatest promises in Scripture:

“…but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

— 1 Corinthians 10:13

Look for the escape route.

And when God provides it—

TAKE IT.

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD

You are not merely fighting a website.

You are fighting temptation.

You are fighting lust.

You are fighting deception.

And Scripture describes the Christian life as spiritual warfare.

Paul says:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

— Ephesians 6:10–12

Then he tells us to take:

The belt of truth.

The breastplate of righteousness.

The Gospel of peace.

The shield of faith.

The helmet of salvation.

The sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God.

And:

Prayer.

Pornography can become a powerful instrument of temptation and enslavement.

Don’t underestimate it.

Peter says:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith…”

— 1 Peter 5:8–9

Be sober.

Be vigilant.

Resist.

SEEK DELIVERANCE IF YOU NEED IT

Some Christians experience pornography as an entrenched pattern of bondage that requires more intensive spiritual intervention.

If you believe that describes you, seek a mature, biblically grounded deliverance minister who understands Scripture, repentance, spiritual warfare, accountability, and the finished work of Christ.

One resource used in some Christian settings is Neil Anderson’s Bondage Breaking material.

But understand this carefully:

Your deliverer is not a minister.

Your deliverer is Jesus Christ.

No technique saves you.

No program saves you.

No deliverance minister saves you.

No accountability application saves you.

Jesus saves.

Jesus said:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

— John 8:36

FILL YOURSELF WITH CHRIST

Here’s the part many people miss.

The Christian life isn’t merely about removing pornography.

It’s about filling your life with Christ.

Paul says:

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”

— Ephesians 5:18

Fill your mind with Scripture.

Fill your home with worship.

Fill your day with prayer.

Fill your time with service.

Fill your life with godly relationships.

Fill your heart with the things of God.

Paul tells us:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report… think on these things.”

— Philippians 4:8

The goal isn’t simply:

“I must stop thinking about pornography.”

The goal is:

“I want to think more about Christ.”

TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME

You don’t have to promise God that you’ll never be tempted again.

You don’t have to figure out how you’re going to remain pure for the next thirty years.

Win today.

When tomorrow comes, win tomorrow.

Jesus said:

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”

— Matthew 6:34

Take today seriously.

Today, don’t look.

Today, don’t search.

Today, don’t indulge.

Today, pray.

Today, read the Word.

Today, walk in the Spirit.

Today, keep your eyes on Jesus.

One day at a time.

AND IF YOU FALL—GET BACK UP

This is crucial.

If you fall, Satan will whisper:

“You failed again.”

Then:

“You’re a hypocrite.”

Then:

“You might as well keep going.”

Don’t listen.

Repent.

Confess it.

Get honest.

Tell your accountability partner.

Identify what led to the fall.

Close the door you left open.

And get back up.

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again…”

— Proverbs 24:16

One failure does not mean you should surrender.

A person who falls off a wagon doesn’t say:

“Well, I fell off, so I might as well lie in the road forever.”

Get back on.

Repentance means turning back toward God.

Don’t allow shame to become an excuse for continued sin.

DON’T USE GRACE AS AN EXCUSE

Never say:

“God forgives me, so it doesn’t matter.”

Paul asks:

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid.”

— Romans 6:1–2

Grace is not permission to remain enslaved.

Grace teaches us:

“…denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.”

— Titus 2:12

Christ did not die to make you comfortable in your chains.

He came to set you free.

SO—ARE YOU REALLY FIGHTING?

Here is the question I want you to answer honestly.

Are you really fighting pornography?

Or are you negotiating with it?

Are you praying?

Are you fasting?

Are you in the Word?

Are you accountable?

Are your devices protected?

Are you eliminating your triggers?

Are you fleeing immediately?

Are you seeking help?

Are you willing to confess?

Are you willing to change your habits?

Are you willing to sacrifice convenience for purity?

Are you treating pornography like the serious spiritual threat that it is?

Because you cannot declare war on pornography while secretly maintaining a supply line to it.

You must choose.

You cannot serve Christ and willingly cultivate the sin that is destroying your fellowship with Him.

Jesus said:

“No man can serve two masters…”

— Matthew 6:24

So declare war.

Not against yourself.

Not against your sexuality.

Not against God’s good design for sexual intimacy.

Declare war against lust.

Declare war against pornography.

Declare war against secrecy.

Declare war against compromise.

Declare war against the lies that tell you that you cannot change.

And then—

LOOK TO JESUS.

“…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

— Hebrews 12:1–2

Your hope isn’t your willpower.

Your hope isn’t your perfect record.

Your hope isn’t an accountability application.

Your hope isn’t a deliverance minister.

YOUR HOPE IS JESUS CHRIST.

Submit to God.

Resist the devil.

Flee temptation.

Take the escape route.

Get back up when you fall.

Stay in the Word.

Put on the armour.

And keep your eyes on Jesus.

James gives us the battle cry:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”

— James 4:7–8

SUBMIT.

RESIST.

DRAW NEAR.

And keep fighting.

A PRAYER FOR FREEDOM FROM PORNOGRAPHY AND SIN

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ.

I plead the blood of Jesus over all sin, sickness, temptation, evil, suffering, sexual sin, lust, and pornography.

I reject Satan and all his evil works.

I reject every lie, deception, temptation, bondage, and stronghold that would draw me away from Jesus Christ.

I renounce pornography and sexual impurity.

I repent of every time I have willingly entertained lust, fantasy, pornography, or sexual sin.

Lord Jesus, forgive me.

Cleanse me.

Purify my heart.

Renew my mind.

Strengthen my spirit.

Give me the power to flee temptation rather than negotiate with it.

Give me discernment to recognize temptation before it takes hold.

Give me the courage to close the door, put down the phone, turn away from the screen, and run from whatever would lead me into sin.

I receive Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul as my Lord and Savior.

I surrender my body, my mind, my eyes, my imagination, my sexuality, my desires, my relationships, my future, and my entire life to Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, fill me.

Teach me.

Guide me.

Strengthen me.

Convict me when I begin to wander.

Give me hatred for sin and a greater love for righteousness.

Help me to walk in purity.

Help me to walk in holiness.

Help me to walk in obedience.

Give me strength to fast.

Give me strength to pray.

Give me strength to stay in Your Word.

Give me wisdom to establish safeguards and accountability.

Give me humility to ask for help when I need it.

When temptation comes, remind me that You have provided a way of escape.

When I am weak, remind me that Your grace is sufficient.

When I fall, give me the humility to repent and the courage to rise again.

I declare that pornography will not be my master.

Lust will not be my master.

Sin will not be my master.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Master.

I submit myself to God.

I resist the devil.

I draw near to Jesus Christ.

And I place my complete faith and trust in Him.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

Proverbs 10:9
He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known. NKJV

Integrity is not a popular word in our culture anymore, but it is still a powerful one in the Kingdom of God. Solomon does not speak about talent, gifting, influence, or success here. He speaks about how a person walks. That tells us something important. God is not only watching where we arrive, He is watching how we live along the way.

To walk with integrity means to be whole. The same person in public and in private. The same convictions on Sunday that guide us on Monday. Integrity is not perfection, it is consistency of heart. It is choosing truth even when it costs us something. It is obeying God when no one is applauding.

The promise attached to integrity is security. That does not mean a life without storms. It means a life that is steady when storms come. A man or woman of integrity does not live in fear of exposure. They are not constantly explaining themselves, covering tracks, or adjusting stories. There is a quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are walking straight before God.

This kind of security produces peace. Peace of mind. Peace of conscience. Peace in prayer. When your heart is clean, you pray boldly. When your walk is upright, you sleep well. When your words and actions agree, your life has weight and credibility.

Then Solomon gives the warning. Those who pervert their ways will become known. To pervert means to twist what is straight. It is subtle compromise. Justifying what God has already spoken clearly about. Adjusting truth to fit convenience. It may look hidden for a season, but Scripture is clear. What is twisted will eventually be exposed.

This is not God being harsh. This is God being faithful. He exposes what destroys us so it does not destroy us forever. Hidden compromise always comes to light, either through correction or consequence.

The lesson is simple but sobering. Integrity protects you in ways money never can. Reputation can be managed, but character cannot. People may not see your integrity right away, but they will always see the fruit of it in time.

In a world full of noise, deception, and double standards, God is still calling His people to walk straight. Not loud. Not perfect. Just faithful. Just honest. Just whole.

Ask yourself today, not how far have I come, but how am I walking? Is my private life aligned with my confession? Am I obeying God where it matters most?

Choose integrity. Walk uprightly. Trust God with the outcome. Security does not come from hiding. It comes from walking in the light before the Lord.

The Devil’s Goodness | GPS: God’s Positioning System

Not everything that looks like goodness comes from God.
In Genesis 3:5, in Matthew 4:3, and in Matthew 16:22-23, the devil disguised deception as compassion. He offered knowledge, bread, and even “care” — but behind it all was destruction.

SERMON: WHY SINNERS, UNBELIEVERS REFUSE THE GOSPEL — 2 COR 4:3-4 — LAST WARNING OF THIS LAST AGE — THROUGH VISIONS GIVEN TO REAGAN WITNESS — Acts 26:16

Text: 2 Cor 4:3-4 — But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of gospel of glory of Christ, who is image of God, should shine on them.

1. WHY THEY REFUSE GOSPEL — IT IS INFLUENCE OF SATAN

Gospel is not hard — But Satan — god of this age — has blinded minds — 2 Cor 4:4

How does this blinding show? — In what you see today:

Mocking: When you preach Jesus is way — They laugh — 2 Pet 3:3 — Scoffers will come in last days walking according to own lusts — Ps 1:1 — Sits in seat of scornful — That mocking is not just man — It's Satan influencing to despise truth.

Persecution: They insult, chase, want to beat witness — John 15:18-20 — If world hates you, you know it hated Me before it hated you — 2 Tim 3:12 — All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution — Satan uses people to fight gospel.

Unbelief & Compromise from Truth: Sinner says "I will repent tomorrow" — Compromising church says "We love Jesus but we still keep sin" — Unbeliever — Muslim, etc — Says "There are many ways" — 2 Cor 4:3 — Gospel veiled to those perishing — Rom 1:18 — Unrighteousness suppresses truth — This is veil of Satan.

Why? Because Prov 29:18 — Where there is no vision, people perish — Hos 4:6 — My people destroyed for lack of knowledge — Satan puts veil so they cannot see light — John 8:12 — I am light of world

2. WHY SATAN DOES IT — HE IS ALREADY JUDGED AND DOES NOT WANT TO GO ALONE TO ETERNAL FIRE

John 16:11 — Ruler of this world is judged — John 12:31 — Now ruler of this world will be cast out — Rev 20:10 — Devil who deceived them was cast into lake of fire and brimstone

Satan knows his time short — Rev 12:12 — Devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows his time is short — He already judged — Hell prepared for him — Matt 25:41 — Everlasting fire prepared for devil and his angels

His intention: Not to go alone — But with all evildoers who refuse gospel and refuse to repent — Rev 21:8 — But cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is second death — 2 Pet 3:9 — Not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance

He wants company in eternal fire — That's why he blinds.

3. ETERNAL LIFE IS REAL — JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY — THROUGH FAITH AND OBEYING HIS TEACHING

John 14:6 — I am way, truth, and life. No one comes to Father except through Me — Acts 4:12 — Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved — John 3:16 — Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life — Rom 6:16 — Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? — Heb 5:9 — He became author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him — Matt 7:21 — Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord, shall enter kingdom, but he who does will of Father

Faith in Christ = Live clean — Purity — 1 John 3:3 — Everyone who has this hope purifies himself — Titus 2:11-12 — Grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and live soberly, righteously, godly in present age

Refuse = Perish — Face endtimes judgement of God — Heb 9:27 — Appointed for men to die once, but after this judgment — Rev 20:11-15 — Great white throne judgment — Anyone not found written in Book of Life was cast into lake of fire

4. VISIONS OF WARNING GIVEN IN THIS LAST AGE THROUGH ME REAGAN HIS SERVANT WITNESS — Acts 26:16

Acts 26:16 — I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of things which you have seen and of things which I will yet reveal to you

God appointed me Reagan His servant witness to testify to what He has shown me — Job 33:14-15 — God may speak in one way, or in another, in a dream, in vision of night — Visions I saw after they vanished —

RED 7 Vision in sky — Warning of blood, judgement, endtime wrath coming — Joel 2:30-31 — I will show wonders in heavens and earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. Sun shall be turned to darkness, moon to blood, before coming of great and terrible day of LORD — Rev 6:12 — Moon became like blood

Green 7 on wall — Warning of life, but also deception of false peace, compromise — People think green = safe — But without holiness, green withers — Ps 37:2 — They shall soon be cut down like grass, wither as green herb — Mark 4:19 — Deceitfulness of riches choke Word

Skeleton vision — Warning of spiritual death — Churches and people walking but dead inside — No Spirit — Ezek 37:11 — These bones are whole house of Israel; they say Our bones are dry — Rev 3:1 — You have name that you are alive, but you are dead — Eph 5:14 — Awake you who sleep, arise from dead, and Christ will give you light

These are visions of warning, spiritual awakening, rebirth, revival, awakening, and repentance — Hab 2:2-3 — Write vision, make it plain, that he may run who reads it. For vision is yet for appointed time; at end it will speak — Acts 2:17 — In last days I will pour out My Spirit, your young men shall see visions

Given Unto you of this last age so that you don't perish — Prov 29:18 — Where there is no vision people perish, but he who keeps law, happy is he — 2 Chron 20:20 — Believe in LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper

5. FINAL WARNING — LAST CALL

This is last warning — To unbelievers — Muslims, sinners, compromising church — To prepare through repentance and live clean through faith in Christ and be saved — Or refuse and perish — Face endtimes judgement of God —

Isa 55:6-7 — Seek LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let wicked forsake his way, and unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to LORD, and He will have mercy — Luke 13:3 — Unless you repent you will all likewise perish — 2 Cor 6:2 — Behold, now is accepted time; behold, now is day of salvation — Rev 22:12 — Behold I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work

ALTAR CALL:
If you are perishing with veil of Satan — Mocking, persecuting, unbelieving, compromising — Come now — Remove veil by Blood — 2 Cor 3:16 — When one turns to Lord, veil is taken away — Believe in Jesus, obey His teaching — Rom 6:16 — Live pure, blameless — Be saved — Eternal life is real — Eternal fire is real — Choose life — Deut 30:19 — I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life

A Nugget of Truth.
SANCTIFIED THROUGH THE WORD

Jesus prayed:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” — John 17:17

Sanctification is the work of God in transforming the life and character of the believer, and Jesus tells us that His Word is the instrument of that sanctification.

But we cannot expect the Word to transform us if we rarely open it.

Just as the body needs daily food, the spiritual life needs daily nourishment from the Scriptures. Jesus said:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

Reading the Bible is not simply about gaining knowledge. We are to allow its truth to correct us, convict us, teach us, and change the way we think, speak, and live.

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” — Psalm 119:11

True sanctification produces a visible change in character, conduct, speech, attitudes, and choices. The more we behold Christ in His Word, the more our lives are brought into harmony with His character.

The Bible should therefore not be something we turn to only once a week. If we want to grow in holiness, overcome sin, recognise deception, and become more like Christ, we need His Word in our minds and hearts every day.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Daily Bible study is not what earns salvation—it is one of the primary ways God works His truth into the life of the person He is saving.

THANK YOU, LORD, FOR THE GIFT OF LIFE
Good morning, people of God.
Good morning, humanity.
This morning, I want to begin with one simple and powerful word:
Thank You, Lord.
We do not know why we were born or why God has given us the grace to still be alive today. We did not choose to come into this world. Yet the Supreme Being, the God of Israel, freely gave us the precious gift of life and the breath in our lungs.
So, if I were standing where you are today, what would I say?
I would simply say:
“Lord, thank You for everything.”
Thank You for life.
Thank You for Your grace.
Thank You for Your Word.
Thank You for the Holy Bible, which teaches us Your truth and gives us strength to believe, hope, and love more deeply each day.
Every morning, I ask myself:
“Lord, what can I still change in my life so that I can become a better person before You? How can I grow in holiness, humility, love, forgiveness, and truth?”
Because walking with God is not simply about talking about God.
It is about allowing God to transform the way we live.
The Bible reminds us:
“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19
If my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, how can I despise it? How can I use my life to hurt others, hate, lie, humiliate, or destroy?
And Scripture also tells us:
“So God created mankind in his own image.”
— Genesis 1:27
My brother, my sister, take a moment and think about this:
You were created in the image of God.
And so was your neighbor.
The person you love was created in God's image.
The person you struggle to love was also created in God's image.
So why should we despise someone whom God created?
Why should we hurt someone whose life has value before God?
Why should we live in pride when everything we have is ultimately a gift of grace?
And there is another truth that should live in our hearts every day:
“It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
— Galatians 2:20
Oh, Lord!
If Christ truly lives in me, then my heart should reflect Christ.
My words should reflect Christ.
My actions should reflect Christ.
The way I treat others should reflect Christ.
My forgiveness should reflect Christ.
My love should reflect Christ.
Let us look around us and recognize the greatness of God.
The birds of the sky, the trees, the stars, the beauty of creation—all remind us that we are not here by our own power.
We are God's creation, standing before our Creator.
And yet, God does not treat us according to our failures, our mistakes, or our pride.
He continues to give us time.
Time to repent.
Time to change.
Time to forgive.
Time to love.
Time to return to Him.
That is the depth of His grace.
God could have turned away from us because of our failures, but He continues to call us.
He says, in essence:
“Come back to Me. Change your heart. Love one another. Walk in truth.”
That is why, people of God, we should never take life for granted.
Every breath is a gift.
Every morning is a blessing.
Every new day is another opportunity to choose love, kindness, forgiveness, and faith.
So let us not allow pride, hatred, ignorance, or bitterness to control our lives.
Instead, let us ask God for hearts that reflect His character:
A humble heart.
A compassionate heart.
A patient heart.
A forgiving heart.
A joyful heart.
A heart ready to serve and do good.
Jesus teaches us:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
— Matthew 22:39
Imagine what our world could look like if we truly lived by these words.
Less hatred.
Less revenge.
Less violence.
Less division.
Less deception.
And more forgiveness.
More love.
More respect.
More kindness.
More unity.
More peace.
More smiles.
That is a life that truly reflects God.
So this morning, I invite you to say with me:
I was created in the image of God.
My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
And above all, let us pray:
“Lord, I recognize that my life is a gift of Your grace. Keep me from pride. Teach me to be humble, to love, to forgive, to serve, and to walk in Your truth. Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your love.”
People of God, let us recognize God's grace while we still have time.
May our lives not simply be long, but meaningful, faithful, holy, valuable, and pleasing to God.
May God give us the wisdom to understand that every human being is precious in His sight—and therefore, every human being should also be precious in our eyes.
Let us choose peace.
Let us choose forgiveness.
Let us choose love.
Let us choose hope.
Let us choose to be a blessing to someone today.
And let us never forget to smile and be grateful for the beautiful gift of another day.
Lord, thank You for life.
Thank You for Your grace.
Thank You for Your patience.
Thank You for Your love.
And above all, thank You because You give us another opportunity today to return to You, to love one another, and to make this world a better place.

TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS

SERMON TOPIC:

5 “RELIGIONS” THAT SEEM CHRISTIAN, BUT ARE NOT!

Theme Scripture:

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders…” — Matthew 24:24

> Important clarification: This message should not be used to attack people or mock sincere believers. The issue is doctrine—what a movement teaches about Jesus Christ, salvation, Scripture, and the gospel. Some groups may use Christian language while holding beliefs that differ fundamentally from historic biblical Christianity.

NOT EVERYTHING THAT SAYS “JESUS” PREACHES JESUS.

Church, one of the greatest dangers facing Christianity today is not only atheism.
It is deception wearing religious clothing.
The greatest danger is not always the person who says, “I don't believe in Jesus.” Sometimes the greater danger is the person who says, “Jesus is Lord,” carries a Bible, talks about prayer, sings Christian songs—but teaches another gospel.
Jesus warned us:
Matthew 7:15:
> “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing…”

Notice something: Jesus did not say they would come looking like wolves.
They come in sheep's clothing.
That means deception can look familiar.
It can sound spiritual.
It can quote Scripture.
It can mention Jesus.
It can even perform impressive religious activities.

But the question is:

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?
Because Christianity is not simply about believing that Jesus existed.
It is about believing who Jesus is, what He accomplished on the cross, and how sinners are saved through Him.

1. THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

Jehovah's Witnesses use the Bible extensively and speak about God and Jesus. However, their theology differs fundamentally from historic Christian doctrine.
One major difference concerns the identity of Jesus Christ.
Historic Christianity teaches that Jesus is truly God, eternally existing with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
John 1:1 says:
> “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
And John 1:14 identifies the Word:
> “And the Word was made flesh…”

Jesus is not merely a created messenger.
Why does this matter?
Because if Jesus is only a created being, then the biblical doctrine of Christ has been fundamentally changed.
Colossians 1:16 says concerning Christ:
> “For by him were all things created…”
If all things were created through Him, Christ cannot simply be another created thing.

Spiritual lesson:

Do not determine truth by how much Scripture someone quotes. Determine truth by whether their teaching agrees with the whole counsel of Scripture.

2. THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS — LDS/MORMONISM.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints uses the name of Jesus Christ and teaches about God, salvation, prayer and family.
But its theology differs substantially from historic Christianity.
Among its distinctive teachings are additional scriptures and doctrines concerning God, humanity, Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal destiny.
The biblical faith teaches that Scripture is God's authoritative revelation and that the gospel of Christ is not to be replaced by another gospel.
Paul warned:
Galatians 1:8
> “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
The issue is therefore not merely:
“Do they talk about Jesus?”
The issue is:
“Is the Jesus they preach the Jesus revealed in Scripture?”
Paul said:
2 Corinthians 11:4
> “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus…
There can be a different Jesus presented using the same name.

3. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE.

Christian Science uses Christian vocabulary and refers to Jesus, God, prayer and healing.
But its understanding of fundamental Christian doctrines differs significantly from biblical Christianity.
Historic Christianity teaches the reality of sin, the physical incarnation of Christ, His death and bodily resurrection.
The Bible says:
1 Corinthians 15:3–4
> “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…”
The resurrection was not merely a spiritual idea.
Jesus physically rose from the dead.
Thomas was invited to touch the wounds of the risen Christ.
Jesus Himself said:
Luke 24:39
> “A spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

Spiritual lesson:
Never reduce Christianity to positive thinking, spirituality or personal experience.
The Christian faith is grounded in the historical work of Jesus Christ.
The cross was real.
The blood was real.
The resurrection was real.
And salvation is real.

4. UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM

Unitarian Universalism is religiously diverse and generally does not require belief in the historic Christian doctrines of the Trinity, the deity of Christ, or salvation through Christ alone.
This is important because Christianity is not simply:
> “Be a good person, love everybody, and believe in God.”
Jesus did not teach that human morality alone could save us.
Jesus said:
John 14:6
> “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Christianity is fundamentally Christ-centered.
Acts 4:12 declares:
> “Neither is there salvation in any other…”
The danger of religious morality
A person can be kind and still be spiritually lost.
A person can give to charity and still need salvation.
A person can help the poor and still need Christ.
Good works are important—but good works do not replace the gospel.
Ephesians 2:8–9 says:
> “For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not of works…”
5. ONENESS PENTECOSTALISM
Here we need to be especially careful.
Not everyone who uses the term "Oneness Pentecostal" believes exactly the same thing, but historic Christian churches generally regard Oneness theology as outside orthodox Trinitarian Christianity.
Why?
Because historic Christianity teaches:
One God in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 says:
> “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
At Jesus' baptism, we see the Son being baptized, the Spirit descending like a dove, and the Father's voice from heaven.
The Father is not the Son.
The Son is not the Holy Spirit.
Yet there is one God.
This is the mystery of the Trinity.

Spiritual lesson:

We must never reshape God into something easier for our minds to understand.
We submit our understanding to God's revelation.

THE BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

THE BEREANS.

Acts 17:11 gives us one of the greatest examples of spiritual discernment.
The Bereans:
> “received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Notice they did not blindly accept even Paul's preaching.
They searched the Scriptures.
That is spiritual maturity.
The question is not:
> “Who preached it?”
The question is:
> “Is it biblical?”
Not:
> “How popular is this teacher?”
But:
> “Does this teaching agree with Scripture?”
Not:
> “How many miracles happened?”
But:
> “Does this exalt the biblical Christ?”

5 TESTS FOR IDENTIFYING FALSE TEACHING.

1. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT JESUS?
Is Jesus truly God?
Did He truly become flesh?
Did He truly die?
Did He physically rise from the dead?
Is He the only Savior?
1 John 4:2–3 gives us a serious test concerning the confession of Christ.
2. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT SALVATION?
The biblical gospel says:
Ephesians 2:8:
> “For by grace are ye saved through faith…”
Salvation is not something we purchase with good works.
It is God's gift through faith in Christ.
3. WHAT AUTHORITY DOES IT GIVE SCRIPTURE?
Whenever a movement says:
> “The Bible is not enough; you need our special revelation…”
Christians must examine that claim carefully.
The Bereans searched the Scriptures.
Acts 17:11.
4. DOES IT PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL?
Paul was extremely strong about this.
Galatians 1:9:
> “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
There is only one gospel.
5. DOES IT PRODUCE CHRISTLIKE FRUIT?
Jesus said:
Matthew 7:20
> “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Truth should produce holiness.
Grace should produce transformation.
The gospel should produce Christlikeness.

DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT.

The devil does not always need to convince people to stop believing in God.
Sometimes he only needs to convince them to believe in a distorted version of God.
That is why discernment is essential.
Satan quoted Scripture when he tempted Jesus.
Matthew 4:6.
So the question is not simply:
“Does this person quote the Bible?”
The question is:
“Is the Bible being interpreted correctly and is Christ being faithfully proclaimed?”

PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS.

1. READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELF
Do not build your theology entirely on sermons, TikTok videos, Facebook posts or YouTube clips.
2 Timothy 2:15 calls believers to rightly divide the word of truth.
2. KNOW THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH
Know what the Bible teaches about:
God
Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit
Sin
Salvation
Grace
The resurrection
The second coming
The authority of Scripture
3. TEST EVERY TEACHING
Don't reject something merely because it is unfamiliar.
And don't accept something merely because it is popular.

Test it by Scripture.

4. DON'T MOCK PEOPLE
Our assignment is not to insult people.
Our assignment is to speak the truth in love.
2 Timothy 2:24–25 teaches believers to correct those who oppose the truth with gentleness.
5. KEEP YOUR EYES ON CHRIST.
The goal of discernment is not to become experts in other people's errors.
The goal is to become deeply rooted in Jesus Christ and His Word.

QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION.

1. Who do I believe Jesus Christ really is?
2. Do I know the biblical gospel clearly?
3. Can I recognize false teaching when I hear it?
4. Do I read Scripture for myself?
5. Have I allowed popularity to become my standard for truth?
6. Am I following Christ—or merely following a religious personality?
7. Can I defend my faith from Scripture?

POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS.

1.
Father, give me the spirit of discernment. Help me distinguish truth from error, in Jesus' name.
2.
Lord, establish me deeply in Your Word so that I will not be carried away by every doctrine.
3.
Father, reveal every false belief operating in my life and lead me into biblical truth.
4.
Lord Jesus, help me know You—not merely know about You.
5.
Give me wisdom to recognize false teachers without becoming judgmental, arrogant or hateful.
6.
Holy Spirit, protect my heart from deception and keep me faithful to the true gospel.
7.
Father, make me a faithful teacher of Your Word who will speak truth with love.

STRONG CLOSING:

DON'T JUST CARRY A BIBLE—KNOW THE CHRIST OF THE BIBLE

Beloved, we are living in a generation where information is everywhere but discernment is becoming scarce.
Everybody has a microphone.
Everybody has an opinion.
Everybody can build a platform.
Everybody can quote a Bible verse.
But not everybody is preaching the gospel.
Therefore, don't follow a preacher simply because he is famous.
Don't follow a movement because it is popular.
Don't follow a religion because it uses Christian language.

Follow Jesus Christ.
Search the Scriptures.
Test every doctrine.
Guard your faith.
Know the Word.
Know the Savior.
And when deception comes wearing religious clothing, may the Holy Spirit give you the wisdom to recognize it.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1
The question is not merely, “Does it look Christian?”
The question is: “Does it faithfully proclaim the Jesus of Scripture and the gospel of grace?”
Stand on the Word.
Hold fast to Christ.
Walk in truth.
And never trade biblical truth for religious appearance.
