• Do not let an algorithm-famous voice become the shepherd of your soul.

Popularity is not proof of divine approval.

A large audience is not proof of holiness.

A beautiful building is not proof of salvation.

A microphone is not proof of calling.

A title is not proof of character.

And a viral sermon is not automatically a biblical sermon.

  • There is something dangerous happening in this generation:

The algorithm is becoming an unofficial pulpit.

The preacher with the biggest following is assumed to have the biggest truth.

The message with the most views is assumed to be the message God approves.

But eternity does not operate by engagement.

    Heaven does not count likes.

    God weighs truth.

  • Still Relevant in 2026. Still God’s Truth.

If Hebrews 13:1–5 were written to Gen Z today, it might sound something like this:

Don’t stop caring about people. In a world that often values followers over friendships, keep showing genuine love. Be kind, even when no one is watching.

Don’t ignore people simply because they’re strangers or different from you. A small act of kindness can change someone’s life, and you never know how God may use your compassion.

Don’t scroll past people who are hurting. Whether they’re struggling with depression, loneliness, poverty, illness, or injustice, don’t say, “That’s not my problem.” Put yourself in their shoes. Jesus calls us to carry one another’s burdens.

Treat marriage with honor. It isn’t just another relationship you can walk away from when things become difficult. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant built on faithfulness, trust, and sacrificial love. Don’t let a culture of hookups, pornography, cheating, or casual sex convince you that purity no longer matters. God’s standards haven’t changed because society has.

Don’t spend your life comparing yourself with everyone else. Social media will always show someone with a better job, a better body, a better car, a better vacation, or a better lifestyle. Chasing what everyone else has will only steal your peace. Learn to be grateful for what God has already given you.

Most importantly, remember this promise: God has never ghosted you. Friends may leave. Relationships may end. People may disappoint you. But Jesus says, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” That promise is stronger than any trend, algorithm, or opinion.

The world will constantly tell you to want more, be more, and chase more. Jesus simply says,

    “Follow Me.”

And that’s still the best decision anyone can make.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Can you believe these temperatures? I have actually put on jeans because it is too cool for me. Haha. Did not see that coming.

One of the neat things about social media is that you can have fun with your picture. There are these games that you can play that are “What are you like in animal form, good and bad?” “If you were a bird, which one would you be?” “What is your spirit flower?” The list goes on. Well, last night I played a couple, and the ‘glamour’ shots that they envisioned for me were hilariously beautiful and totally not happening at all at the same time. Haha. I love seeing what the AI algorithm thinks of my picture in these different scenarios. It is fun. But … anyone who knows me … the true me … knows that it is completely false - A mask.

This mask is meant for humor and enjoyment. Unfortunately, there are other masks out there that are for hiding the dark that lives in our lives. We have this unique way of portraying ourselves in a positive light so that no one will know the true darkness that hides in the shadows of our steps. It is not until we light the life-giving candle of Jesus Christ in our lives that we can shed our masks.

There are many umbrellas that we all walk under throughout our lives. The enemy is in many, if not all of them, to some degree … even the one held by Christ. Stick with me here. Through our lives, we are guided by circumstances. This is the catalyst for that. Because of that, I did this. He said this, so I replied that. And so on. Circumstances and scenarios drive our steps. In that, we put on masks to make ourselves look better than we truly are. I go to church; therefore, I must always be happy, and nothing is ever wrong in my life … Mask. If I show distress of any kind, then the person I am trying to lead to Christ will run away … Mask.

The enemy is constantly whispering his logical explanations over each step we make. Common sense explanations that truly hold water for thought. Making it seem as though the mask is the very thing that we need to keep up appearances and do God’s will. He makes very compelling arguments. Meanwhile, the mask is creating a lie. By keeping our troubles in the dark, we set those up around us for failure. Our struggles, our honesty, our transparency … that is what allows for the Light to shine out the darkness. Our ability to allow others to see the deepest truths of our lives is what will show them how we are still standing … because of the Love of Christ and our faith in him.

The enemy would have us believe that if Jane knows about what I did ten years ago, she will tell the pastor and the pastor will not allow me to volunteer anymore because I am a bad person. If Jane knows what I did, I will be the gossip point for the whole community, and my reputation will be ruined. If Jane finds out my secrets, she will walk away from me, and I will have no one. If Jane … (fyi…I do not know anyone named Jane…fictional name for this purpose) The enemy will convince me to bury our secrets to protect ourselves. Sometimes in that protection we end up building barriers which in turn end up as lies so that no one knows. Those lies compound and create even bigger issues.

This is not a call to stand on the street corner and confess your every sin of life. This is not a call for you to invite disruptive people into your life. This is a call for you to remove the mask of darkness, allow the Light to be your reflection, and when those secrets surface … face them head-on. “Yes, that was me then. But not anymore.” Once you do that and stand on it, darkness will no longer have any power over you. Today, I encourage you to find the mask that you are hiding behind and remove it. Your face is beautiful in the light of His love.

    Be blessed.

**The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. – Romans 13:12

  • Kora Obidi, Pastor Kumuyi and Her Deeper Life Roots: How One Shakira Clip at 13 Turned a Holiness Girl Into an Adult Performer

I saw an interview recently. It came to my feed because it contained content related to Pastor Kumuyi and Deeper Life, and the algorithm knows I watch holiness‑based content.

And in that interview, Kora Obidi openly mentioned Deeper Life Church.

She said she grew up in a Deeper Life home where TV was completely forbidden.
She said she didn’t watch TV for the first 13 years of her life.
And the very first day she finally watched TV… she saw Shakira dancing.

According to her, that sudden exposure — after 13 years of total denial — made her “vulnerable,” and Shakira’s performance immediately influenced her to start dancing.
Not just dancing, but eventually becoming an adult performer.

Her story is not simply unfortunate.
It is a case study in what happens when holiness is present, but conviction is absent.

    WHAT HER STORY REVEALS

    1. Rules cannot replace regeneration

She lived under holiness but never met the God behind it.
That is why one Shakira clip could overthrow 13 years of doctrine.

“God looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

    2. Sudden exposure destroys unrooted children

She said she became “vulnerable” because she had never seen anything like Shakira before.
This is exactly why Kumuyi and Deeper Life restricted TV, not to punish, but to protect.

“Guard your heart.” — Proverbs 4:23

    3. Trauma without discipleship becomes rebellion

    She lost her mother early.
    Her father left the church.
    Her emotional foundation collapsed.

Pain + exposure + no discipleship = predictable derailment.

“A broken spirit dries the bones.” — Proverbs 17:22

    4. Talent without guidance becomes a weapon for the world

Her gift made room for her but because she lacked discipleship, the room she entered was the world, not the kingdom.

    “A gift makes room.” — Proverbs 18:16

    5. Church culture cannot replace personal salvation

She grew up in church, not in Christ.

“Be rooted in Him.” — Colossians 2:7

LESSONS FOR THE CHURCH, PARENTS AND CHILDREN

    For the Church

Stop assuming children raised in holiness are automatically saved.
They need encounters, not just outlines.

    For Parents

Your child can obey your rules and still be spiritually empty.
Your child can avoid TV and still be unrooted.
Your child can dress holy and still be vulnerable.

Holiness must be explained, not just enforced.

    For Children/Teenagers

Growing up in church is not salvation.
Your parents’ convictions cannot become yours by inheritance.

    You must meet Christ personally.

    MY PERSONAL CONCLUSION

When I was in Deeper Life in the 90s, I saw this pattern clearly.
Most of the people who carried real fire were those who came into the church seeking God, not those who were born into the system.

I saw chronic unbelievers who mastered the routines but never felt the fire.

Even Jerry Kumuyi, raised in holiness, didn’t become born again until his mid‑thirties.
His friend, who claimed he was an ex‑cultist in that popular video clip, was also the son of a big pastor.

This reinforces one truth: salvation is personal.

“Work out your salvation.” — Philippians 2:12

    Holiness is not inherited.
It is not absorbed by proximity.
    It is birthed by conviction.

This is why Pastor Kumuyi or Deeper Life should not be blamed for how Kora turned out.
Many grew up under the same strict environment — no TV, no worldly exposure — and turned out strong, stable, and deeply rooted in Christ.

The issue is not Deeper Life.
The issue is not the no‑TV doctrine.
The issue is not Pastor Kumuyi.
    The issue is personal surrender.

HOW TO HELP CHILDREN BORN INTO CHURCH CULTURE (WHO DON’T BELIEVE)

    • Teach identity, not just morality
    • Give encounters, not just restrictions
    • Disciple their gifts early
    • Heal wounds before the world exploits them
    • Let them ask questions without fear
    • Show them Christ, not just church culture

If we fail here, the world will disciple them the moment they step outside.

And the first Shakira they see at 13 will still be powerful enough to redirect their destiny.

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

    Here is my opinion …

This conversation goes beyond Kora Obidi, Deeper Life, Pastor Kumuyi, or even the question of whether a particular church standard was right or wrong.

The deeper parenting lesson is that child can be protected from the world and still not be prepared for the world.

Rules are important. Boundaries are important. Values are important. But boundaries without understanding can create children who know what they are not allowed to do, but do not understand why they believe what they believe.

A child who has never been taught how to process temptation may not know what to do when temptation eventually arrives.

This is why parenting cannot only be about restriction. It must also be about formation.

    You cannot simply say:
    “Don’t watch this.”
    “Don’t listen to that.”
    “Don’t go there.”

    You must also teach:
“Here is why we choose differently.”
    “Here is who you are.”
“Here is what God says about your identity.”
“Here is how to make wise decisions when nobody is watching.”

The goal of parenting is not to raise children who can survive only inside our fence.

The goal is to raise children who carry conviction even when they leave the fence.

A child who has been trained only by external control may look obedient while supervised but collapse when freedom comes.

A child who has been discipled has an internal compass.

That is why parents must move from control to conviction, from rules to relationship, from behavior management to heart transformation.

Jesus did not just give people rules; He transformed hearts.

The question every Christian parent should ask is:

“Have I only taught my child how to behave, or have I helped my child understand why they believe?”

Because one day every child will encounter their own “Shakira moment” an unexpected exposure, a new environment, a new friend, a new temptation.

The preparation is not pretending the world does not exist.

The preparation is raising children who know who they are before the world tells them who they should become.

Holiness must move from the family handbook into the child’s heart.

That is the work of intentional parenting.

This is exactly why parenting cannot be accidental.

The world is discipling children every day through entertainment, friendships, social media, and culture.

The question is not whether your child will be influenced.

    The question is:

Who will have the strongest voice in your child’s life before the world begins speaking?

Inside our Inner Circle Program for Parents, we help intentional parents move beyond just controlling behavior and start building children with:

    Strong identity
    Biblical values
    Emotional intelligence
    Critical thinking skills
    Healthy boundaries
The confidence to stand when nobody is watching

Because the goal is not to raise children who only do right when parents are around.

The goal is to raise children who carry conviction when they are alone.

Registration for our next Inner Circle is open.

If you desire to raise children who are rooted, resilient, and prepared for the real world, comment INNER CIRCLE or send us a message to secure your place.

Your child’s future cannot be left to chance.

WHAT HER STORY REVEALS 1. Rules cannot replace regeneration She lived under holiness but never met the God behind it. That is why one Shakira clip could overthrow 13 years of doctrine. “God looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7 2. Sudden exposure destroys unrooted children She said she became “vulnerable” because she had never seen anything like Shakira before. This is exactly why Kumuyi and Deeper Life restricted TV, not to punish, but to protect. “Guard your heart.” — Proverbs 4:23 3. Trauma without discipleship becomes rebellion She lost her mother early. Her father left the church. Her emotional foundation collapsed. Pain + exposure + no discipleship = predictable derailment. “A broken spirit dries the bones.” — Proverbs 17:22 4. Talent without guidance becomes a weapon for the world Her gift made room for her but because she lacked discipleship, the room she entered was the world, not the kingdom. “A gift makes room.” — Proverbs 18:16 5. Church culture cannot replace personal salvation She grew up in church, not in Christ. “Be rooted in Him.” — Colossians 2:7 LESSONS FOR THE CHURCH, PARENTS AND CHILDREN For the Church Stop assuming children raised in holiness are automatically saved. They need encounters, not just outlines. For Parents Your child can obey your rules and still be spiritually empty. Your child can avoid TV and still be unrooted. Your child can dress holy and still be vulnerable. Holiness must be explained, not just enforced. For Children/Teenagers Growing up in church is not salvation. Your parents’ convictions cannot become yours by inheritance. You must meet Christ personally. MY PERSONAL CONCLUSION When I was in Deeper Life in the 90s, I saw this pattern clearly. “Work out your salvation.” — Philippians 2:12 Holiness is not inherited. HOW TO HELP CHILDREN BORN INTO CHURCH CULTURE (WHO DON’T BELIEVE) • Teach identity, not just morality • Give encounters, not just restrictions • Disciple their gifts early • Heal wounds before the world exploits them • Let them ask questions without fear • Show them Christ, not just church culture If we fail here, the world will disciple them the moment they step outside. And the first Shakira they see at 13 will still be powerful enough to redirect their destiny. - shared by Dae Jumong 12/7/26 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Here is my opinion … This conversation goes beyond Kora Obidi, Deeper Life, Pastor Kumuyi, or even the question of whether a particular church standard was right or wrong. You cannot simply say: “Don’t watch this.” “Don’t listen to that.” “Don’t go there.” You must also teach: “Here is why we choose differently.” “Here is who you are.” “Here is what God says about your identity.” “Here is how to make wise decisions when nobody is watching.” The goal of parenting is not to raise children who can survive only inside our fence. The question every Christian parent should ask is: “Have I only taught my child how to behave, or have I helped my child understand why they believe?” Because one day every child will encounter their own “Shakira moment” an unexpected exposure, a new environment, a new friend, a new temptation. The question is: Who will have the strongest voice in your child’s life before the world begins speaking? Inside our Inner Circle Program for Parents, we help intentional parents move beyond just controlling behavior and start building children with: ✅ Strong identity ✅ Biblical values ✅ Emotional intelligence ✅ Critical thinking skills ✅ Healthy boundaries ✅ The confidence to stand when nobody is watching Because the goal is not to raise children who only do right when parents are around. ❤️ Copied

  • Between the Pulpit and the Algorithm.

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season…” — 2 Timothy 4:2
If preaching is fundamentally the proclamation of divine revelation, what happens when the preacher begins to rely on artificial systems that generate structure, language, and even theological suggestion?
Can the algorithm assist the minister without subtly shaping the message it helps prepare?
In an age of AI-assisted homiletics, the real question is not efficiency, but authority: who (or what) is shaping the sermon before it reaches the pulpit?

THE DISCIPLE WHO NEVER OPENS HIS BIBLE

Beloved, let's allow our hearts to be burdened by the Spirit of the Lord today to confront a silent epidemic paralyzing the Body of Christ. From our altars here in Ibadan to the ends of the earth, we have raised a generation of believers who are addicted to sermons but allergic to Scripture.
You listen to three podcasts on your way to work. You scroll through dozens of one-minute preaching clips on TikTok and Facebook. You shout, jump, and take notes while your favorite prophet prophesies on Sunday morning.
Yet, your personal Bible has not been opened in weeks.
Hear me as a prophetic teacher of Discipleship: Consuming another man’s sermon is not the same as studying the Word of God for yourself. You are surviving on regurgitated revelation, and it is killing your spiritual immune system!

    THE TRAGEDY OF SECOND-HAND REVELATION
When you only listen to sermons, you are eating a meal that someone else went into the presence of God to cook. It tastes good, it might even make you feel full for a moment, but it cannot build the spiritual muscle required for the days we are living in.
We want to master God's algorithm for power, favor, and love, but we refuse to download the raw data of the Word into our own spirits! We want the quick fix, the summary, the spiritual fast-food.
But you cannot destroy the night men behind your nightmares by throwing your pastor's sermon at them. When the devil comes for your family, your mind, and your destiny, he is not intimidated by the YouTube video you watched this morning. He is only paralyzed by the Word of God that has become flesh in you.

THE BIBLICAL STANDARD OF A TRUE DISCIPLE
If you claim to be a disciple, look at the standard set by the early believers. The Apostle Paul was arguably the greatest preacher of the New Testament, yet look at how the believers in Berea responded to him:
Acts 17:11 - "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."
They didn't just clap for the Apostle! They went home, opened their scrolls, and searched the Scriptures for themselves!
God is not just looking for an audience; He is looking for students.
2 Timothy 2:15 commands: "Study to show THYSELF approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Joshua 1:8 does not say "This book of the law shall not depart from your pastor's mouth." It says it must not depart from your mouth!

    BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
Beloved, the days are evil, and the time is short. We live our lives as if we have endless tomorrows to finally get serious about the Word. But before the silver cord snaps and your earthly assignment is demanded of you, what foundation will you have built?
You cannot stand before the judgment seat of Christ and say, "I didn't read Your Book, but I listened to a lot of great preachers talk about it."
It is time to repent of spiritual laziness. It is time to turn off the notifications, silence the background noise, open the physical pages of your Bible, and wrestle with the text until the Holy Ghost breathes upon your understanding.
     SOUL-SURRENDERING CALL TO ACTION
Stop treating the Bible like an emergency kit and start treating it like your daily oxygen. If your spiritual roots do not go deep into the text, the coming storms will uproot you.

    TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION RIGHT NOW:
TYPE "I WILL STUDY FOR MYSELF!" in the comments to prophetically break the spirit of laziness over your mind.
SHARE THIS BROADCAST to your timeline and all your groups. We must wake the Church up from the slumber of second-hand Christianity!
THE 15-MINUTE CHALLENGE: Cancel one of the podcasts you listen to today, and replace it with 15 minutes of silent, focused reading of the Book of John. No commentary. Just you, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.
A PRAYER OF SURRENDER (DO NOT SCROLL PAST THIS)
"Father, I repent for being a lazy disciple. I repent for treating Your Holy Word as an option rather than a necessity. Forgive me for trying to fight my battles with borrowed revelation. Holy Spirit, ignite a violent, unquenchable hunger inside me for the Scriptures. Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your law. Let Your Word become a fire shut up in my bones! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ!"
If you truly mean this prayer and you are committing to the secret place of study, type "AMEN" in the comments right now!
