    LIVING ABOVE WORLDLY PATTERNS 1

    A WORD FROM THE WORD:

    "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

    Life is spiritual and should not be handled with levity, especially as a believing child of God. Spiritual warfare is an aspect of the life you are expected to experience knowingly or not, as a believer or unbeliever. But as a believer in Christ Jesus, you must need the help of the Holy Spirit to help you secure and win the very battlefield of this war - even the battlefield of your mind.
    You must endeavour to align your thoughts with the demands of Heaven on your life, by willingly and actively combating negative and deceptive thoughts with the truth of God's Word and obedience.
    Because this warfare is not physical, non-carnal weapons are employed, so you must grow spiritually and rely completely on the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit for victory.

    PRAYER BULLETS:

    Father LORD, I want to always win the spiritual wars I'm faced with, help me with all I need.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY AUGUST 31, 2026.
    "WHAT IS "SUCCESS " FOR YOU?"

    I have glorified You on the earth...’ John 17:4 NKJV

    AT THE end of His life, Jesus was able to pray, ‘I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.’ Jesus didn’t try to compete with John the Baptist or model Himself after some Old Testament prophet. He knew what ‘success’ was for Him. To know what it is for you, you must:
    1) Discern what success really is. When others feel good about you, you’re popular; but when you feel good about yourself, you’re successful. Your life’s highest calling will always create the highest level of joy within you. 2) Before you set goals, pray. ‘In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths’ (Proverbs 3:6 NKJV). It’s not wrong to set goals, it’s just wrong to set them without first consulting God. 3) Stop expecting others to bring you success. Don’t wait for flowers to arrive. God gave you seed; start growing some of your own. ‘Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else’ (Galatians 6:4 NLT). And besides, when you’re less needy you’ll become more attractive to others. 4) Get over yourself—everyone else has. A minister said he was praying one day, ‘Father, why does the devil keep reminding me of my past?’ God replied, ‘Because he’s running low on material!’ Repent, and then move on. God says He will ‘…not remember your sins’ (Isaiah 43:25 NKJV). There’s only one good reason to bring up the past, and that’s to learn from it and grow wiser.

    *DANCING AT THE GATES OF HELL*

    *TEXT:* MICAH 2:7-13.

    7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
    8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
    9 The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.
    10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
    11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
    12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.
    13 The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came"_ (Amos 6:1).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    It is dangerous to live carelessly at the edge of spiritual destruction, presuming that God's patience means that His judgment will never come. The people of Israel had become comfortable with sin, oppression and false teachings, yet they still wanted to hear pleasant messages. They were, in effect, dancing at the gates of hell—enjoying temporary pleasures while moving dangerously close to divine judgment. The audience of Micah foreshadows this modern age or last days when the *"people will no longer be able to endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears"* (2 Timothy 4:3). If Israel was severely punished for preferring fables to the sound Word of truth, the people of this age will have a more *"sorer punishments"* in eternal hell fire. Micah's message calls us to examine our hearts, remember the consequences of persistent rebellion and hasten to leave every path that leads to destruction.

    *1. Heart-Probing Questions*

    a. There were some probing questions in the text. *"O house of Jacob, is the Spirit of the LORD straitened [limited]?"*
    The people complained that God's power or patience was too short or that His Spirit should only give good messages instead of warning them about judgment. In the last days too, the same attitude and preference will increasingly continue. *"They shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables"* (2 Timothy 4:4). The sound doctrine of the Word of God will be a heavy burden and unbearable to the religious lovers of pleasure. Many preachers will unfaithfully dilute their messages to suit their audience and make them happy though they will eventually, lead them to destruction and hell.
    They also asked, *"Are these his doings?"*. The people questioned if God was really behind the hard times or the warnings of punishment they were hearing. To them, God is too good to inflict such a heavy judgment. It was not God that was behind their hard times, but their evils. When you do evil, evil will follow and when you do good, good will follow.
    b. God answered their questions. *"Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?"* God answers that His messages are always good and helpful for people who actually, live right and obey Him. Even when the Word of God is a warning judgment, it is equally to do good to those who are rebellious and disobedient for it will turn them from the path of destruction. All the messages of God are good and are intended to do good in the lives of the obedient. Hearing His Word is never a liability if there is love for the truth.
    We must stop blaming God, the Church, our circumstances or other people for the consequences of our disobedience. The probing question is directed at our hearts: Are we walking uprightly before God? A person who rejects God's correction, but expects His blessings is dangerously deceiving himself.

    *Question*

    When God's Word confronts your lifestyle, do you humbly submit to it or resist its correction?

    *2. History of Protracted Quarrel*

    a. The basis of God's quarrel with Israel had always been because of their sins and violence against moral laws. God always gives reasons to justify His judgments so that it is clear to all that people's disobedience is not a matter of ignorance, but a deliberate choice and exercise of their will. Some of their evils were listed. The rebellion of God's people was not a momentary mistake; it had become a prolonged quarrel against God's righteous ways. They rose against others as enemies, robbed the peaceful, oppressed women and drove children away from their inheritance. *"The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant places"*. Furthermore, the children were messed up, demoralized and denied basic moral training and discipline that would make them radiate the glory of God. *"From their children have ye taken away my glory for ever"*. Robbery and insecurity of lives and property became a booming trade in the land. *"Ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely"*. Worse still, they preferred false prophets who specialize in prophesying ephemeral blessings including wine and strong drink.
    b. Israel had a long history of persistent rebellion despite warnings from the prophets. Sin often begins as a private compromise, but can grow into a lifestyle that damages others. Persistent rebellion against God results in injustice, selfishness and spiritual blindness. Those dancing at the gates of hell may laugh at warnings and celebrate false assurances, but judgment does not disappear because people refuse to hear about it.

    *Question*

    Is there any sinful habit you have allowed to continue for so long that it is now affecting other people?

    *3. Hasten to Permanently Quit*

    God commanded His people to arise and depart because their sinful condition had made their present position spiritually unsafe. Lot was told by the angel to hasten *"while he lingers"* though the fire of hell was almost dropping like rain. He was warned *"escape for thy life"* (Genesis 19:16,17). If he had delayed further, the fire of God would have caught him with all his family members. When God pronounces His judgments on wickedness, the wisest thing to do is to speedily take steps and quit whatever is displeasing to God. *“This is not your rest.”* Though the judgment of God was catching up with them, they still believed their mind and the messages of compromising prophets who promised them *"peace, peace, when there is no peace"*. They were relaxed, unresponsive and continued their lives of pleasure as if the prophet was just wasting his time. Any promised rest or enjoyment in the midst of sin is fake and deceptive. *"Arise ye, and depart, for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction"*. God always remembers mercy in His wrath. He asked them to seek for exile in other countries because the judgment on the land as a result of their evil was irreversible. God's solution against His judgments is always departure from sin and objects of divine rebukes and displeasure. *"Depart ye, depart ye"*.
    b. As characterictic of God, the message ended with hope and restoration for the repentant remnants. God promised to gather His remnant and lead them like a shepherd. After they had suffered in the land of the captivity, "the Breaker" (The Messiah) went before them, opening the way for deliverance and led them back to their land. This will also be repeated in the last days when Messiah will come back to deliver Israel from the hand of their enemies, especially the Antichrist. God does not call us to abandon sin without providing the grace and power to escape it. Christ is our Deliverer, able to break the chains of bondage and lead us into true freedom.
    Do not dance near the gates of hell. Arise, repent and permanently quit every sinful path. Run toward Christ, who alone leads His people safely through the way of life.

    *Question*

    What must you urgently and permanently leave behind in order to walk freely with Christ?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, search my heart and reveal every area where I have resisted Your Word and correction.
    2.Father, deliver me from every prolonged habit of sin that is destroying my fellowship with You and hurting others.
    3.Lord, give me more love for the truth and give me hatred for all forms of deceptions
    4.Lord Jesus, my Deliverer and Breaker, go before me, break every chain of bondage and lead me into a life of holiness and victory.

    *CAGED IN COMFORT* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:MICAH 2:7-13```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction" (MICAH 2:10).*_

    *In 2019, a massive earthquake struck Indonesia, displacing thousands of people. Entire communities were forced to abandon their homes, not because they wanted to, but because the ground beneath them had become unstable. For many, staying behind meant certain destruction. The tragedy was not just in the collapse of buildings but also in the reluctance of some to leave despite clear warnings.*

    *Micah's message to Israel carried a similar urgency. In Micah 2:10, the prophet declares, "Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction." The people of Israel had settled into spiritual complacency, believing that their land and prosperity were secure. Yet, their corruption had made their very dwelling place dangerous. God's warning was clear: comfort without righteousness leads to ruin.*

    *The Israelites had defiled the land with injustice and idolatry. They exploited the poor, perverted justice, and silenced the voices of truth. Yet, they refused to believe that judgment was coming. Their sense of security was false. Micah's call was not just about physical exile but also about a spiritual awakening.*

    *This is a message for our generation. Many cling to lifestyles, habits, or environments that have become spiritually toxic. Some remain in relationships, careers, or ideologies that corrupt their faith. The call to "arise and depart" is not always about physical relocation but about spiritual repositioning. God often calls His people to leave behind what is no longer safe for their souls. When we refuse, destruction follows. Israel's refusal to heed this warning led a life devoid of His presence and peace.*

    *Are there habits, relationships, associations, or mind-sets that you need to leave behind? Spiritual stagnation is as dangerous as physical complacency. When a place, practice, or pursuit no longer aligns with God's will, staying becomes destructive. The believer's true rest is not in earthly security but in God Himself. When He calls us to move, it is always for our preservation. Do not let comfort keep you in a place that has become unfit for your soul.*

    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed" (LUKE 7:7).*_
    *Faith confession is when your spoken word agrees with the written word of God - the Bible. It is saying what God says about your situation. God has said wonderful, life-changing things about His children. When we agree with His word and speak the same thing, the resultant effect is that it brings positive changes in our circumstances - academics, health, career, spiritual life, and standard of living.*
    *Saying what God says about your life brings you to heights you can never dream you could reach. Therefore, speak victory and not defeat. Meditate on the unfailing promises of God. "A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth" (Proverbs 12:14a). Be positive with your words. Negative words attract negative things to you.*
    *Your words will either bring pain or pleasure. Your confession will produce life or death. Your words shape your life. Therefore, choose your words carefully before you utter them. God spoke, "and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast" (Psalm 33:9). In like manner, you possess what you confess because you are created after the image of God.*
    God put our first parents in the Garden of Eden to care for it and enjoy all the good things in it. But the devil came and deceived the woman to disobey God, and eventually Adam too disobeyed. When God came down calling for man and asking why they had disobeyed His instruction, the blame game started. Each of them started shifting blame.
    God who is patient and longsuffering asked the woman to explain what happened, she too pushed the blame to the serpent. If they had simply acknowledged their sinfulness and begged for forgiveness, the human race will not be in the mess we are in today. Their disobedience corrupted and made us dirty before God.
    We all inherited the nature of sin and wickedness. This is the reason many children often pass off their wrongdoings to others. Some children, even when caught red-handed, will still blame someone else for their disobedience. *God wants us to be humble enough to accept responsibility for our wrongdoings. Do not shift the blame, repent and ask God to have mercy on you.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: ⏤ Philippians 3:20
    The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. ⏤ E.M. Bounds
    O God, most merciful—bless us this morning. Lay Your hand upon us with a Father’s blessing. May the grace of the Lord Jesus be upon us and in us all day long. Let Your word dwell in our hearts richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing us. May it be so deeply rooted in us that it keeps us from sin. May the power of Your Spirit rest upon us throughout this day, cleansing and purifying our thoughts, feelings, and all our inner life, and compelling us to walk in holiness in all we say and do.
    Please guide us today, O God, and keep us in all our experiences. Guard us from carelessness. Let us not drift away from the holy truths we have been taught, nor from Jesus Christ our Savior. Let us not become entangled in the affairs of this world in a way that causes us to lose any of the sanctity of our lives. Though we are in the world, let us not be of it. Help us to maintain a godly life amid all that is ungodly. May our citizenship always be visibly in Heaven, even though we dwell on this earth. May we be true pilgrims, looking for a city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Let us not love this world as if we were going to stay in it forever.
    Grant a personal blessing to each one in our family. Our needs are different. Tenderly care for those of us who are weak. Shelter any of us who will be exposed to temptation today, and let us not fall. If any unforeseen trouble or sorrow lies in our path, prepare us for it, that we may not be caught off guard and fall into sin. May we each carry out into the world a power of love and grace that will bless everyone we meet. We ask all this for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
History of Protracted Quarrel* a. The basis of God's quarrel with Israel had always been because of their sins and violence against moral laws. God always gives reasons to justify His judgments so that it is clear to all that people's disobedience is not a matter of ignorance, but a deliberate choice and exercise of their will. Some of their evils were listed. The rebellion of God's people was not a momentary mistake; it had become a prolonged quarrel against God's righteous ways. They rose against others as enemies, robbed the peaceful, oppressed women and drove children away from their inheritance. *"The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant places"*. Furthermore, the children were messed up, demoralized and denied basic moral training and discipline that would make them radiate the glory of God. *"From their children have ye taken away my glory for ever"*. Robbery and insecurity of lives and property became a booming trade in the land. *"Ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely"*. Worse still, they preferred false prophets who specialize in prophesying ephemeral blessings including wine and strong drink. b. Israel had a long history of persistent rebellion despite warnings from the prophets. Sin often begins as a private compromise, but can grow into a lifestyle that damages others. Persistent rebellion against God results in injustice, selfishness and spiritual blindness. Those dancing at the gates of hell may laugh at warnings and celebrate false assurances, but judgment does not disappear because people refuse to hear about it. *Question* Is there any sinful habit you have allowed to continue for so long that it is now affecting other people? *3. Hasten to Permanently Quit* God commanded His people to arise and depart because their sinful condition had made their present position spiritually unsafe. Lot was told by the angel to hasten *"while he lingers"* though the fire of hell was almost dropping like rain. He was warned *"escape for thy life"* (Genesis 19:16,17). If he had delayed further, the fire of God would have caught him with all his family members. When God pronounces His judgments on wickedness, the wisest thing to do is to speedily take steps and quit whatever is displeasing to God. *“This is not your rest.”* Though the judgment of God was catching up with them, they still believed their mind and the messages of compromising prophets who promised them *"peace, peace, when there is no peace"*. They were relaxed, unresponsive and continued their lives of pleasure as if the prophet was just wasting his time. Any promised rest or enjoyment in the midst of sin is fake and deceptive. *"Arise ye, and depart, for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction"*. God always remembers mercy in His wrath. He asked them to seek for exile in other countries because the judgment on the land as a result of their evil was irreversible. God's solution against His judgments is always departure from sin and objects of divine rebukes and displeasure. *"Depart ye, depart ye"*. b. As characterictic of God, the message ended with hope and restoration for the repentant remnants. God promised to gather His remnant and lead them like a shepherd. After they had suffered in the land of the captivity, "the Breaker" (The Messiah) went before them, opening the way for deliverance and led them back to their land. This will also be repeated in the last days when Messiah will come back to deliver Israel from the hand of their enemies, especially the Antichrist. God does not call us to abandon sin without providing the grace and power to escape it. Christ is our Deliverer, able to break the chains of bondage and lead us into true freedom. Do not dance near the gates of hell. Arise, repent and permanently quit every sinful path. Run toward Christ, who alone leads His people safely through the way of life. *Question* What must you urgently and permanently leave behind in order to walk freely with Christ? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, search my heart and reveal every area where I have resisted Your Word and correction🙏. 2.Father, deliver me from every prolonged habit of sin that is destroying my fellowship with You and hurting others🙏. 3.Lord, give me more love for the truth and give me hatred for all forms of deceptions🙏 4.Lord Jesus, my Deliverer and Breaker, go before me, break every chain of bondage and lead me into a life of holiness and victory👆. *HYMN:* Have you counted the cost? *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* ESTHER 6-10. Entire communities were forced to abandon their homes, not because they wanted to, but because the ground beneath them had become unstable. For many, staying behind meant certain destruction. The tragedy was not just in the collapse of buildings but also in the reluctance of some to leave despite clear warnings.* *Micah's message to Israel carried a similar urgency. In Micah 2:10, the prophet declares, "Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction." The people of Israel had settled into spiritual complacency, believing that their land and prosperity were secure. Yet, their corruption had made their very dwelling place dangerous. God's warning was clear: comfort without righteousness leads to ruin.* *The Israelites had defiled the land with injustice and idolatry. They exploited the poor, perverted justice, and silenced the voices of truth. Yet, they refused to believe that judgment was coming. Their sense of security was false. Micah's call was not just about physical exile but also about a spiritual awakening.* *This is a message for our generation. Many cling to lifestyles, habits, or environments that have become spiritually toxic. Some remain in relationships, careers, or ideologies that corrupt their faith. The call to "arise and depart" is not always about physical relocation but about spiritual repositioning. God often calls His people to leave behind what is no longer safe for their souls. When we refuse, destruction follows. Israel's refusal to heed this warning led a life devoid of His presence and peace.* *Are there habits, relationships, associations, or mind-sets that you need to leave behind? Spiritual stagnation is as dangerous as physical complacency. When a place, practice, or pursuit no longer aligns with God's will, staying becomes destructive. The believer's true rest is not in earthly security but in God Himself. When He calls us to move, it is always for our preservation. But the devil came and deceived the woman to disobey God, and eventually Adam too disobeyed. When God came down calling for man and asking why they had disobeyed His instruction, the blame game started. Each of them started shifting blame. God who is patient and longsuffering asked the woman to explain what happened, she too pushed the blame to the serpent. If they had simply acknowledged their sinfulness and begged for forgiveness, the human race will not be in the mess we are in today. Their disobedience corrupted and made us dirty before God. We all inherited the nature of sin and wickedness. This is the reason many children often pass off their wrongdoings to others. Some children, even when caught red-handed, will still blame someone else for their disobedience. *God wants us to be humble enough to accept responsibility for our wrongdoings. Do not shift the blame, repent and ask God to have mercy on you.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Lord, give me the courage to always own up to my disobedience and also repent.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *1 Samuel 15:10-21* The Blame Game https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk31stAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS]. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: ⏤ Philippians 3:20 The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. ⏤ E.M. Bounds O God, most merciful—bless us this morning. Lay Your hand upon us with a Father’s blessing. May the grace of the Lord Jesus be upon us and in us all day long. Let Your word dwell in our hearts richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing us. May it be so deeply rooted in us that it keeps us from sin. May the power of Your Spirit rest upon us throughout this day, cleansing and purifying our thoughts, feelings, and all our inner life, and compelling us to walk in holiness in all we say and do. Please guide us today, O God, and keep us in all our experiences. Guard us from carelessness. Let us not drift away from the holy truths we have been taught, nor from Jesus Christ our Savior. Let us not become entangled in the affairs of this world in a way that causes us to lose any of the sanctity of our lives. Though we are in the world, let us not be of it. Help us to maintain a godly life amid all that is ungodly. May our citizenship always be visibly in Heaven, even though we dwell on this earth. May we be true pilgrims, looking for a city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Let us not love this world as if we were going to stay in it forever. Grant a personal blessing to each one in our family. Our needs are different. Tenderly care for those of us who are weak. Shelter any of us who will be exposed to temptation today, and let us not fall. If any unforeseen trouble or sorrow lies in our path, prepare us for it, that we may not be caught off guard and fall into sin. May we each carry out into the world a power of love and grace that will bless everyone we meet. We ask all this for Jesus’ sake. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/57/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
    GUARD THE GATES OF THE HEART
    A WORD FROM THE WORD:
    "LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
    Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart." Psalm 15:1-2 NIV.
    King David, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration in our anchor Scripture examines the root cause of disqualification of many from the presence of God. He then provided a list of attitudes, habits and practices that qualify one to be in the presence of God, such as uprightness, righteousness and truth in the heart, among others, are the top requirements for one to remain in God's presence.
    Solomon, the wise king, again, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit once counsels, '......Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.' (Proverbs 4:23 NIV). Our LORD Jesus admonishes further, '......Out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.
    (Matthew 15:19 ESV).
    When a heart is leaky, backbiting, evil imaginations, judgmental reproach of brethren and pride will dominate the character. However, a submissive, sanctified and consecrated life always seeks to keep the gates of the heart closed to the rampaging habits and ways of life that dominate the present evil world system. If you desire to ascend God's holy hill, then strive to guard your heart with all diligence and keep your gates closed to all influences of sin. Shut out every manner of evil companions, evil communicnations, gain mastery over your appetite, be careful how you spend your time and your money, be watchful over any wiles of the devil that may want to take advantage of any little opening in your heart.
    Guard the gates of your heart safe and secure by prayer, righteous living and the Word of God. Don't forsake the assembly of God's people, fellowship with other believers regualrly and find something doing for God. This way the gates of your heart will be shut against the enemy of your soul and destiny.
    PRAYER BULLETS:
    Father LORD, thank You for the privilege of salvation. I ask that You purge my heart of every sinful pollutant. Give me the strength for righteous living, that my heart may not be lured into sin.
    LIVING A LIFE OF HOLINESS AND PURITY
    A WORD FROM THE WORD:
    "Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God." Ephesians 5:2 NLT.
    Every follower of the LORD Jesus who is true to their calling must endeavour to live in the light as an example of the LORD Jesus to the world. The thirst after righteousness and chastity in their life must be unquenchable.
    In the present world, people will want you to believe that every manner of immorality and unfaithfulness is the norm thing as men and women everywhere engage in them. It is rampant among our youths on campuses and society at large, even some ministers of the Gospel are not left out. But truth is that it is not the will of God concerning you.
    However, in spite of the filthiness enveloping our generation, you must be on the LORD's side and like Joshua declare thus: '...as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.' (Joshua 24:15 NKJV).
    It is disheartening to see how Christian parents form blind to how rascally their male children dress and their female children's nudity in the name of freedom and fashion. The consciousness of victory over the flesh must begin with the knowledge that you are God's temple, expected to maintain purity within and without. No true revival has ever taken place without a prevalence of the Spirit of Holiness in God's chosen vessels.
    You are His vessel for revival, so keep yourself pure.
    PRAYER BULLETS:
    Father LORD, engrace me by Your Spirit to remain pure, and be an example of the believer in all things. Deliver this generation from the spirit of immortality.
    FURTHER READING:
    1 Corinthians 6:19-21; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:20-21.
    CRUCIFYING THE FLESH
    A WORD FROM THE WORD:
    "Could it be any clearer that our former identity is now and forever deprived of its power? For we were co-crucified with him to dismantle the stronghold of sin within us, so that we would not continue to live one moment longer submitted to sin's power." Romans 6:6 TPT.
    The three greatest enemies of a Christian are Satan, sin and self. Confrontations by Satan manifest through direct attacks by demonic spirits or indirectly through human agents. The dominance of sin was the problem of humanity until God sent His Son to condemn sin in the flesh.
    On the other hand, the flesh is the greatest enemy of the believer. When a child of God has their flesh truly crucified, there will be power over satanic confrontations and temptation to sin. Such victory makes a Christian to affirm like Paul the apostle, 'Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.' (Romans 6:14 NLT).
    You must endeavour to take practical steps as one under God's grace to crucify the flesh with its demands, and let the Word of God dwell richly in you.
    Be sure to destroy all inducing materials; resist every temptation; reject every enticement; renounce ungodly frienships; and be careful about what you feed your eyes and spirit on; seek counsel on any besetting sins; be constantly involved in God's service; and be disciplined. Also, receive and rely on God's grace through prayer and His Word.
    Crucifying the flesh means to be dead to sin; to receive the power of God to live above sin. Ask God for this work of grace with determination and faith to end the works of the flesh, He will give you the enablement through His Spirit.
    PRAYER BULLETS:
    Father LORD, in the name of the LORD Jesus, and by the help of the Holy Spirit, I repent of every work of the flesh in my life. Help me to live a victorious and Spirit-filled life.
  • DBF-001-035 continues with John 2:14. Jesus enters the temple and finds commercial activity occupying the place intended for worship. We should be precise: the text condemns the corruption Christ confronts, not commerce itself.
    DAILY BREAD FELLOWSHIP
    DBF-001-035
    Today’s Scripture
    John 2:14 (ESV)
    “In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.”
    Opening the Scriptures
    Jesus had arrived in Jerusalem for Passover.
    When He entered the temple, He found something seriously wrong.
    Animals were being sold, and money-changers were conducting their business.
    There was a legitimate need for animals for the sacrifices prescribed under the Old Covenant, and pilgrims arriving from distant places needed appropriate money for temple obligations.
    The problem was not simply that animals or money existed.
    The problem was what had happened to the place of worship.
    What should have directed people’s attention toward God had become occupied by human commercial activity.
    Jesus saw it.
    And He would not ignore it.
    The people may have become accustomed to what was happening around them.
    Christ had not.
    Living God’s Word Today
    There is a serious warning here for the Church.
    Something can become familiar without becoming right.
    Practices may continue for years. Traditions may become deeply established. People may defend them by saying, “We have always done it this way.”
    But familiarity does not determine whether something belongs in Christ’s Church.
    Christ does.
    The Church does not belong to pastors, denominations, committees, wealthy donors, or congregations.
    The Church belongs to Jesus Christ.
    Therefore, everything we do as His people must continually be examined under the authority of His Word.
    This also applies personally.
    Our hearts can become crowded with things that slowly compete with our devotion to God.
    Money.
    Success.
    Recognition.
    Comfort.
    Entertainment.
    Even ministry itself can become more important to us than the Christ we claim to serve.
    The danger is that we gradually become comfortable with things that should trouble us.
    Jesus entered the temple and saw immediately what others had apparently learned to tolerate.
    That should challenge us.
    We should regularly ask whether our worship, ministry, priorities, and personal lives are being shaped by Scripture or merely by habit.
    Not every tradition is wrong.
    Not every change is good.
    The standard is neither tradition nor change.
    The standard is God’s Word.
    Tomorrow’s verse will show that Jesus did more than observe what was wrong. He acted.
    For today, allow His Word to examine us.
    Have we become comfortable with anything that dishonors God?
    Have we allowed something useful to become more important than worship?
    Have our personal preferences begun to replace biblical priorities?
    Christ is Lord of His Church.
    And because He is Lord, He has the authority to determine what belongs there.
    Question for Today
    Are you willing to let God’s Word challenge practices and priorities that have simply become familiar?
    Respond: “Lord, bring my life into obedience to Your Word.”
    DBF-001-035 continues with John 2:14. Jesus enters the temple and finds commercial activity occupying the place intended for worship. We should be precise: the text condemns the corruption Christ confronts, not commerce itself. DAILY BREAD FELLOWSHIP DBF-001-035 Today’s Scripture John 2:14 (ESV) “In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.” Opening the Scriptures Jesus had arrived in Jerusalem for Passover. When He entered the temple, He found something seriously wrong. Animals were being sold, and money-changers were conducting their business. There was a legitimate need for animals for the sacrifices prescribed under the Old Covenant, and pilgrims arriving from distant places needed appropriate money for temple obligations. The problem was not simply that animals or money existed. The problem was what had happened to the place of worship. What should have directed people’s attention toward God had become occupied by human commercial activity. Jesus saw it. And He would not ignore it. The people may have become accustomed to what was happening around them. Christ had not. Living God’s Word Today There is a serious warning here for the Church.   • THE PILGRIMS GUIDE
    FRIDAY AUGUST 28, 2026
    THE GOD OF A SECOND TOUCH
    A WORD FROM THE WORD:
    'At that moment, the Lord, who was being led through the courtyard by his captors, turned around and gazed at Peter. All at once Peter remembered the words Jesus had prophesied over him, “Before the rooster crows in the morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” Peter burst into tears, ran off from the crowd, and wept bitterly.' Luke 22:61-62 TPT.
    God is a God of second opportunity, otherwise no man will ever make Heaven. But for such chance, Peter as we read in our anchor Scripture above would have lost his life and position in the kingdom to the devil, like many people already have. He was not only a child of God, but the leader of the disciples and with whom the LORD Jesus was very close. It's on record that his home was one of the few the LORD Jesus frequently visited yet, at a crucial hour, Peter denied his long-time friend, mentor and Creator. The Bible says that at that critical point, '..... the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the **** crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. (Luke 22:61-62 KJV).
    Revival is all about another opportunity or a second encounter with God and not a call to sinners to repent. Every new touch of God comes with new freshness and the more of God's touch we have the fresher we become. The heart of man is such that except God touches it again and again, one time touch may not be sufficient for a lifetime.
    When was the last time you had a fresh touch from God? Oh, that God will touch you again today, and cause you to return to Him, your first love, cause you to begin to pray, fast, read the Word and evangelise like the days of old, when you could not go to bed without renewing your contact with God. When breakfast was a sin without quiet time, may God take you back to those wonderful experiences again.
    PRAYER BULLETS:
    LORD Jesus, thank You for privilege of the grip of Your grace. Visit me again, and cause my life to be filled with Your presence.
    FURTHER READING:
    Luke 22:54-62; Revelation 2:1-5.
  • SERMON TO LIVING NATIONS IN THIS LAST AGE: NEPAL FLOODS — RED 7 , VISION = JUDGEMENT OF CORRECTION FIRST TO HOUSE, NOW TO NATIONS
    For the living ones in last age — Hear and Repent or Perish
    1 Peter 4:17 — For time has come for judgment to begin at house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be end of those who do not obey gospel of God?
    1. WHAT WE SEE: FLOODS HIT NEPAL — MANY CLAIMED
    On 26 August 2026, flash floods along Trishuli and Bhote Koshi rivers hit Rasuwa and Nuwakot, Nepal-Tibet border — glacier collapse — mud and rock — killed at least 160+ and 1,400+ missing — homes, bridges, hydropower, roads wiped 7e0148de
    Authorities say 157-165 confirmed dead in Nepal, 3 in Tibet, hundreds missing including pilgrims 7e0110dc382f
    Living ones — This is not just climate — This is God putting His punishing hand in last days — Amos 3:6 — Shall there be disaster in a city, and LORD has not done it? — Job 37:13 — He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for His land, or for mercy.
    2. SPOTTING RED 7 VISION — ORDER OF JUDGEMENT
    Red 7 Vision given to me witness Reagan — born again — true Israel not practising sin — to reveal order of End Time judgement.
    RED = Sacrifice of Jesus — Blood of Jesus — Rev 12:11 — overcome by blood of Lamb.
    7 = COMPLETE.
    Red 7 = COMPLETE JUDGEMENT OF CORRECTION FIRST TO HOUSE OF GOD.
    I received first — Body — motorcycle hitting dog — accident — testing of faith — 1 Pet 1:7 — hedge bleached not removed Job 2:6 — Gold came out pure Job 23:10, Zech 13:9.
    Why House first? Because God loves His house.
    Heb 12:6 — For whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.
    Heb 12:11 — Now no chastening seems joyful for present, but painful; nevertheless afterward it yields peaceable fruit of righteousness.
    Rev 3:19 — As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent.
    Prov 3:11-12 — My son, do not despise chastening of LORD.
    To God's house — disciplinary action, punishment, suffering is MADE WITH LOVE — to purify — to make not practising sin — 1 Tim 4:5 — sanctified by Word and prayer — 1 John 3:9 — Whoever born of God does not practice sin.
    My faith failed NOT — Luke 22:32 — Purification finished — Now Green 7 — Matt 6:33 — much more added — 144,000 sealed.
    3. NOW COMES TO EVIL DOERS NEXT — HEAVIER STROKES
    After house — judgement of correction goes to evil doers — to nations turned away.
    Luke 12:47-48 — That servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare... shall be beaten with many stripes... For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required.
    Heb 10:29 — Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled Son of God underfoot, and counted blood of covenant a common thing.
    To House — love — to preserve life — To evil doers who refuse — Deut 32:35 — Vengeance is Mine, recompense — strokes heavier because of total disobedience in face of God.
    Rom 2:5 — Because of your hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in day of wrath and revelation of righteous judgment of God.
    Your voices, your altars, your traps, your dogs — God counted them — Ps 56:8 — Are they not in Your Book? — Now heavier.
    4. NEPAL & OTHER NATIONS — TURNED FROM TRUE WORSHIP
    John 4:24 — God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
    But Nepal & other nations have turned away from true worshipping of God:
    Worshipping idols — Ex 20:3-5 — You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself carved image.
    Worshipping dead, mountains, rivers — Isa 8:19 — Should they seek dead on behalf of living?
    Dreaming dead folks, snakes — covenant with darkness — Deut 18:10-12 — abomination to LORD.
    God is putting His punishing hand on you NOW — floods — to make you repent — obey gospel — live pure before God through faith in Christ.
    Acts 17:30 — Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands everyone to repent. Matt3:2. Blood cleanses us from all sin. 1john1:7,
    This is true --bcos in Red 7 vision, the son speaking through what I saw, in what you should obey-- His judgement of correction/ punishment by doing what's right. Or refusal will perish in sin. John8:24.
    Nepal floods is first stroke -- heavier is coming if refuse to repent -- & leave idolatry. & Word of God says Worship in spirit & truth. For he who has no son has no life. 1john5:12.
    And so to other nations in disobedience before God. Repent or face God's judgement.
    Rev14:7 -- "fear God and give glory to Him, for hour of His judgement has come., and worship Him who made heaven and earth."
    In Jesus name Amen!
  • THE EASTERN GATE — WHEN THE DOOR OPENS
    I have walked through Jerusalem many times during my archaeological journey, stood among its ancient stones, explored its history, and watched the city change beneath the light of the Judean sun.
    Yet there is one place that still causes me to stop.
    The Eastern Gate.
    Standing across from that magnificent sealed gateway, I have often simply stared at it in awe.
    The gate we see today is not the gate through which Solomon walked. Jerusalem is a city built layer upon layer, generation upon generation. Beneath our feet lie the remains of earlier Jerusalems—some excavated, others still hidden in the earth.
    And the Eastern Gate has its own archaeological mystery.
    In 1969, James Fleming was examining the area outside the present Golden Gate when the ground beneath him gave way. Below the modern ground level, he observed and photographed an earlier arched structure associated with the gateway.
    What exactly was it?
    How old was it?
    Could still earlier phases of Jerusalem's eastern entrance survive beneath it?
    Those questions remain debated. Archaeology has not established that Fleming discovered Solomon's gate. Extensive excavation of this extraordinarily sensitive area has never been possible.
    And perhaps that mystery is partly what makes standing there so remarkable.
    What we see above the ground is only part of the story.
    There are stones beneath the stones.
    There are gates beneath the gate.
    There is history beneath our feet.
    But whenever I stand there, my thoughts eventually move beyond archaeology.
    I look across the Kidron Valley toward the Mount of Olives. I look back toward that sealed entrance in Jerusalem's eastern wall.
    And I imagine a day archaeology cannot excavate.
    The coming of the Messiah.
    Imagine standing there when Yeshua returns to earthly Jerusalem.
    Imagine the sound of the shofar echoing across the valley.
    Imagine the King approaching Jerusalem.
    Imagine those ancient stones witnessing something greater than all the kings, armies, pilgrims and empires that have passed before them.
    And then I remember something Yeshua once said:
    “I am the door.”
    — John 10:9
    Suddenly, the image of a sealed gate takes on another meaning.
    A stone gateway may be closed.
    But God's Door is open.
    Yeshua did not describe Himself merely as someone standing beside the entrance or someone pointing toward it.
    He said:
    “I am the door.”
    The message is profoundly simple.
    THE DOOR IS THE WAY
    A door separates two places.
    You stand on one side, but the door provides the entrance to the other.
    Yeshua presents Himself as the entrance to salvation and life with God. Wealth cannot purchase that entrance. Archaeological knowledge cannot unlock it. Religious status cannot earn it.
    The invitation is through Him.
    THE DOOR IS PROTECTION
    The imagery becomes even richer when we remember the shepherd.
    In the ancient world, sheep could be gathered into an enclosure where the entrance provided controlled access and protection. Against that background, Yeshua speaks not only about a door but immediately afterward about Himself as the Good Shepherd.
    The One who provides the entrance is also the One who cares for the sheep.
    THE DOOR LEADS TO LIFE
    Yeshua continues:
    “He will come in and go out and find pasture.”
    The Door does not lead into imprisonment.
    It leads to life.
    To fellowship.
    To belonging.
    To walking with the Shepherd.
    And that is why the Eastern Gate continues to fascinate me.
    As an archaeologist, I see ancient masonry, buried architectural phases, unanswered questions and thousands of years of Jerusalem's history.
    As a believer, I see something else.
    I see an illustration.
    The world can build walls.
    Men can close gates.
    Empires can rise and disappear.
    Stones can be buried beneath metres of earth.
    But there is one Door no human being can seal.
    Yeshua is that Door.
    Perhaps one day I will no longer have to stand across the Kidron Valley imagining the King coming to Jerusalem.
    Perhaps those ancient stones will witness the moment themselves.
    Until then, the sealed Eastern Gate remains there—silent, ancient and mysterious.
    And every time I look at it, I am reminded:
    The gate may be shut.
    But the Door is still open.
    Yeshua said, “I am the door.”
