• You may think:

    “Who am I to speak?”

    Remember the prophets.

    Jeremiah spoke.

    Isaiah spoke.

    Ezekiel spoke.

    Daniel stood.

    Samuel spoke.

    Elijah confronted.

    Elisha continued the work.

    Moses confronted Pharaoh.

They did not wait for everyone to agree with them before obeying God.

They carried a message bigger than their reputation.

  • WHAT IF THE THING YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT TODAY… IS THE VERY THING GOD IS ASKING YOU TO TRUST HIM WITH?

The Israelites had seen God do the impossible.

    He rescued them from slavery.
    He parted the Red Sea.
    He defeated Pharaoh's army.

    But when they couldn't see tomorrow's provision…

    they became afraid.

    They forgot God's faithfulness.

And isn't that where many of us struggle too?

We remember the problem… but forget the Provider.

I made this 5-minute Bible movie for children, but I think every parent needs this reminder too.

  • Romans 9:

"1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
    4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
    10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
    32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY AUGUST 28, 2O26.
    "THERE'S NOBODY LIKE HIM (3)"

'..."This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"
    Matt 17:5 NKJV

ON THE Mount of Transfiguration, Moses, the law giver, and Elijah, who represents the prophets, stood side by side with Jesus. But Jesus outshone them all. The Bible says, ‘…His clothes shimmered, glistening white, whiter than any bleach could make them…’ Mark 9:3 TM). In that moment Jesus was God in His purest form. Awed by Him, Peter said, ‘…“Lord…if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”’ (Matthew 17:4 NKJV). It was a sincere sentiment, but it was sincerely wrong. ‘While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!’’’ The word beloved implies ‘unique.’ There is no one else like Jesus! Not Moses. Not Elijah. Not Peter. Not Zoroaster, Buddha, or Muhammad. No one in heaven or on earth. Three shrines would have made Moses and Elijah equal with Christ, and God would have none of it. Only one shrine should be built, because only one person on the mountain deserved to be worshipped. ‘When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid’ (Matthew 17:6 NKJV). The One who hung the stars in space and left Pharaoh dead at the bottom of the Red Sea stood among them. The sight of Him took their breath away, removed every trace of arrogance and caused them to end up face-down on the ground. How long has it been since you felt such reverence for God?

    FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST, 2026```

    *SUCCOUR THROUGH THE WORD* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:PSALM 119:49-56```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself" (PSALM 119:52).*_

*A powerful weapon of the Lord in the hands of believers is His Word. It can be described as the spoken commitment of the Saviour with regard to the welfare of His children. An unmovable fact about the word of the Lord is that it involves His divine integrity. The Bible says "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19).*

*David realised this and determined that "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name" (Psalm 138:2). The Lord vowed through Isaiah that none of the words He had spoken would return unto Him void: "It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10, 11). The word of God is spirit and life; it is the anchorage of the believer in trouble. No wonder, God's children meditate therein day and night.*

*We can all relate to the experiences narrated here. They are experiences of trials of faith alongside the enduring accompaniment of grace. He was familiar with the "proud" and their boastful remarks, reproachful behaviour and calculated assaults (Psalm 119:51). He felt the night of existence where no human friend or comforter could bear his burden. But he had faith in the faithfulness of the Lord: "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep" (Psalm 121:3, 4).*

*Today, a believer has a shelter in the word of God. Jesus never fails. His word is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that will vanquish the enemy. We should therefore seize the wisdom that the writer applies to our text: "waiting on the Lord". The Bible says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).*

*BEWARE OF THE SECOND DEATH* 🫵🏽🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```REVELATION 21:7,8```
    ```Key Verse:``` _*"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).*_

There are two important things common to all human beings. They are birth and death. Every soul on earth passed through the process of birth at one time or the other. Death on the other hand comes to terminate life on earth. It is a debt that everyone owes.

*Is there anyone born into this world who will not die?* The answer is *No.* The book of Genesis gives us a detailed story of how the earliest people were born, the number of years they lived, and then their eventual death.

This shows the order of human life. Life on earth definitely has an end. However, it is important to know that death is not the end of life. After death, life continues, but everyone will not be in the same place. There are two places to be after death - Heaven or Hell. The qualification for both is determined by the way we live our lives on earth.

A careless, sinful and godless life will end up in hell fire. This is what the Bible refers to as the second death. This means, the sinner will die physically and leave the earth - first death. Then he will go to hell-fire where he will suffer forever and ever. The second death does not have time limit. It is a place of no-return. This is the reason the Bible warns us about the danger of partaking in the second death.

*The urgent call to sinners is for them to repent, confess their sins, and ask for forgiveness and cleansing. Then they should ask Jesus to come into their lives as personal Saviour and Lord. This is the only way to escape the second death.*

    ```rayer:``` _*Dear God, please forgive me and deliver me from the second death.*_ 🏽
    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (ISAIAH 55:11).*_

*God is faithful and His word is infallible. Since God cannot fail, His word too can never fail. Whatever He has said in His word must come to pass. There is no condition in our lives that His word cannot take care of.*

*Lay hold on the word. Grasp His words by faith. It will work for you. The Bible is the solid rock upon which believers stand, and it cannot sink. Take God's word at face value. Apart from reading the Bible, let it fill your memory and saturate your heart.*

*Ignorance of the word denies us the benefits and blessings therein. Many youths can quote Shakespeare, Plato and Aristotle verbatim but cannot quote any verse of the Bible. Christians should be profound in the knowledge of the words of God and be able to quote them readily as occasion demands.*

*When you wield the sword of the Spirit "It is written", the devil and his demons will flee. Let the word dwell in you as "a well of water, springing up unto everlasting life." It will make you grow healthily and happily.*

    ```QUOTE:``` _*It will make you grow.*_
    ```CHALLENGE:``` _*Depend on God's word.*_

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. ⏤ Psalm 18:2

We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the heavenly world and bring its power down to earth. ⏤ Andrew Murray

O God, You are our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer, the horn of our salvation, and our Redeemer. You are a proven Savior, and we know we can trust You. We have placed our confidence in You in the past, and You have never once failed us.

We give You heartfelt thanks this morning for all the blessings of the night. We thank You most of all for revealing Yourself to us in Jesus Christ our Savior, in whom we see the exact image of Your being. We thank You that in Him we have learned of Your fatherhood, grace, and mercy. May the Holy Spirit teach us more and more of the blessedness and preciousness of this divine revelation, opening our eyes to see it and our hearts to receive it.

We ask You, O God, to draw us near to You this morning and to hold us close to You all day long. We want to run the race set before us without faltering. Help us to lay aside every weight that would hinder us, and every sin that so easily entangles us, and fix our eyes on Jesus as our goal. We want to live as Christians should live. Let us not be drawn away by the world’s allure.

Help us to conduct our daily business righteously. Teach us to do even the most mundane tasks for Jesus’ sake, with Jesus in mind. Help us to be honest and truthful in all aspects of our lives:
    In our business,
    In our social interactions,
    In our conversations,
In every part of our lives.

May the fruits of the Spirit abound in our lives. May we also abound in good works. Send us all the help we need for the day’s demands. Bless our loved ones, whatever their circumstances, and everyone for whom we should pray. We ask all this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is the only way to escape the second death.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Dear God, please forgive me and deliver me from the second death.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *Revelation 20:14* Beware Of The Second Death https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk28thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [27/08, 10:43 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST, 2026``` *GOD'S WORD IS DEPENDABLE* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️👨🏽‍💻🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:ISAIAH 55:6-11```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (ISAIAH 55:11).*_ *God is faithful and His word is infallible. The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. ⏤ Psalm 18:2 We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the heavenly world and bring its power down to earth. ⏤ Andrew Murray O God, You are our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer, the horn of our salvation, and our Redeemer. Help us to be honest and truthful in all aspects of our lives: In our business, In our social interactions, In our conversations, In every part of our lives. May the fruits of the Spirit abound in our lives. May we also abound in good works. Send us all the help we need for the day’s demands. Bless our loved ones, whatever their circumstances, and everyone for whom we should pray. We ask all this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. THURSDAY AUGUST 27, 2O26.
    "THERE'S NOBODY LIKE HIM! (2)"
‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...’ Proverbs 9:10 NKJV

IN A world out of control, we like a god we can control: a comforting presence who blesses, provides, and advises. Kind of like ‘God in a box.’ But when it comes to Christ, no box works. His contemporaries designed an assortment of boxes for Him, but He didn’t fit in any of their boxes. They called Him a revolutionary, but He paid taxes. They labelled Him a country carpenter, but He confounded scholars. They came to see His miracles, but He refused to entertain them. He was a Jew who attracted Gentiles, a rabbi who gave up on synagogues, a holy man who hung around with prostitutes. In a male-dominated society, He recruited females. In an anti-Roman culture, He opted not to denounce Rome. He talked like a king yet lived like a pilgrim. People tried to put Him in a ‘box,’ but they couldn’t. And we can’t either; indeed we must not! ‘…Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God, insight into life from knowing a Holy God…’ (Proverbs 9:7-12TM). Most of our fears are unhealthy. They rob us of peace and joy. But the fear of the Lord does the opposite. One author writes: ‘There is nothing neurotic about fearing God. The neurotic thing is not to be afraid, or to be afraid of the wrong thing. That is why God chooses to be known to us, so that we may stop being afraid of the wrong thing. When God is fully revealed to us and we ‘get it,’ then we experience the conversion of our fear…‘fear of the Lord’ is the deeply sane recognition that we are not God.’

*THE DANGER OF RELAPSING INTO RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS WITHOUT THE TRANSFORMING GOSPEL*

    *TEXT:* GALATIANS 4:8-13.

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.
13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

*Timeless Truth:*_"But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?"_ (Galatians 4:9).

    *INTRODUCTION*

Religious traditions, as described by D.E. Sherkat,  "are constellations of beliefs, practices and institutions used to describe a common type of religiosity. Religious traditions are broad understandings of the supernatural produced in societies and practiced by groups and individuals". For the sake of continuity, religious traditions are codified in texts considered sacred by individuals and institutions that adhere to and produce that form of religion. Once a conviction is formed on religious traditions, it is very difficult for adherents to give them up for another revelation even when common sense says it is wrong. It has a blinding effect especially, when it is wrong. For example, in the Christian faith, you can see some traditions that worship idols, but never see anything wrong with it, but only explain away such idol worship as traditions handed over by the "elders". Some of the Jews had that problem in the Early Church. The legalistic traditions of the law of Moses was so much built into their conviction that giving it up totally for the gospel was a problem to them. All explanations by enlightened and anointed Christ appointed Apostles fell into deaf ears. At best they were willing to believe the gospel subject to the legalistic tradition. They saw their legalistic traditions as more superior to the gospel and they were willing to continue in it in addition to the gospel. The Galatians believers were almost relapsing into the law of Moses and Paul the apostle had to set out the danger of exalting or mixing any religious traditions with or above the pure gospel.

    *1. The Past Graceless Life*

    a. There is always a clear inward and outward distinction between life before Christ and life after Christ. A reminder of this transformative experience in Christ is always needful so as not to lose faith. Paul the apostle reminded them that when they knew not God, they *"did service unto them which by nature are no gods"*. If you cannot see this transformational and supernatural distinction in your life, it is likely you are just practicing religion and have not experienced the new life in Christ. Before knowing Christ, the Galatians were enslaved to false gods and powerless spiritual systems. Apostle Paul reminded them that ignorance of the true God results in bondage. A life without Christ is a graceless life because no amount of religion can save the soul apart from the redeeming grace of Jesus. We too must never forget the pit from which God's mercy brought us out from, lest we become proud or drift into lifeless religion.
    b. The transforming gospel of Jesus Christ delivers sinners not only from the bondage of sin, but also from the bondage of empty religious traditions. The Galatian believers had received salvation by grace through faith, yet they were being tempted to return to legalistic practices as though human observances could perfect what Christ had accomplished. Paul the apostle lovingly warned them that abandoning the simplicity of the gospel for religious rituals is a dangerous spiritual relapse. Every believer must continually stand in the liberty of Christ and resist every tradition that replaces grace with legalism. There are also religious and denominational traditions that make the gospel of Christ of no effect in the life of a person. Inasmuch as you glue to those traditions that contradict the gospel message, the new life in Christ will continue to elude you. When the pure gospel is made to cohabit with denominational or religious traditions that do not put Christ in its rightful place, the gospel will lose its transforming power.

    *Question*

What are some of the religious or denominational traditions that make salvation experience impossible in the life of a religious person? Have you remembered that it was God's grace, not religious performance, that brought you into salvation?

    *2. The Pure Gospel Lost*

    a. Apostle Paul expresses deep concern that those who had known God were turning again to weak and beggarly religious observances. Why call those traditions as religious and beggarly elements? They are weak because those Mosaic rules and rituals have zero power to save, justify or change a human heart. They are beggarly
because they are "poverty-stricken" or bankrupt and offer no spiritual riches compared to Christ. They are called elements because they are merely elementary things given in the law of Moses to reveal the necessity of Christ without really maturing in Christ.
    b. They began emphasizing special days, months, seasons and years as though these could secure righteousness before God. The danger was not in observing days itself, but in trusting such practices as a means of acceptance with God. Whenever Christ is replaced by rituals, the purity of the gospel is compromised and spiritual growth is hindered.

    *Question*

Is your confidence resting in Christ alone or in religious activities that cannot transform the heart?

*3. The Persuasion to Part with Legalism*

    a. With tenderness, Paul the apostle pleads, *“Be as I am,”* calling the Galatians back to the freedom of grace. Apostle Paul was entrenched in *"the traditions of the elders"* which he even claimed to be more fanatical than all his equals. When he received Christ, he received Him solely and totally without adding the rudiments of the law of Moses or legalistic traditions. He parted ways with those things totally. He admonished them to do the same because it is in doing that, that they can enjoy the life of Christ to the fullest. Rather than condemning them harshly, he appeals through love and reminds them of the sacrificial relationship they once shared during his ministry among them. *"I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain"*. When you got saved by faith in Christ alone and you begin to attach some things as additions that will make salvation complete, your faith has shifted from Christ and you lose your salvation and the presence of Christ within. True spiritual leadership persuades people away from legalism and continually points them back to Christ. The transforming gospel produces loving obedience not compulsory religion.

    *Question*

Are you willing to abandon every legalistic attitude and embrace the freedom and transforming power of the gospel?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Father, thank You for saving me by grace through the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ.
2.Lord, deliver me from every form of empty religion and traditions with all its legalistic bondage.
3.Father, help me to remain steadfast in the liberty and truth of the pure gospel and be not drifted away from Christ.
4.Lord, deliver those who are deceived by religious traditions that are contrary to the pure gospel .

    ```TEXT:GALATIANS 4:8-13```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain" (GALATIANS 4:11).*_

*John Newton's conversion as his foundering, wreck-bound ship sailed into the eye of the storm on a turbulent, raging sea on the 10th of March 1748, and his unflinching adherence to the faith till death remains a classical model in the evangelical circle. Newton never forgot how God mercifully spared his life, saved his soul and delivered him from wasteful living and a blasphemous lifestyle. He lived the rest of his life juxtaposing what he had previously been with the transformation God had wrought in him. To keep this memory alive, he wrote out the fifteenth verse of the fifteenth chapter of Deuteronomy in bold letters and fastened it to the wall of his study.*

*Had the Galatians exercised Newton's wisdom and spiritual intelligence, a thrilling testimony would have trailed their Christian walk. They had spent their lives, plumbing the depths of human sin and degradation of idolatry, before Paul reached them with the gospel. They responded positively to the gospel, became truly converted and free from an idolatrous lifestyle. Of them, Paul said they "received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus". But their experiences became short-lived. Glib-tongued Judaizers invaded the Galatian Church and swayed the nascent assembly off the pure New Testament faith Paul had laboured to teach and impart.*

*Would Paul be cowed down, cave in or contend with the detractors of faith? It hurt him to see these Gentile Christians drawn into the spider-web of Judaizing Christians once again. Paul, after the manner of a passionate pastor, pleads with the Galatians in this letter not to return to their former spiritual slavery but rather break away from every Pharisaic bondage and enjoy the liberty Christ gave them freely. He wants them to understand their new identity - saints saved by grace, void of any allegiance to a race, culture or tradition.*

*These are instructive scriptures for both shepherds and the flock in the fold. While shepherds and leaders of God's people diligently labour and watch over the flock, fencing out all modern Judaizers, every believer has the responsibility to resist the subtle penetration of the enemies of the cross and make an intelligent choice between Judaizers and the Justifier. We must, in the words of Christ, "Watch and pray" at all times to avoid being beguiled.*

Fornication has brought many people from all societal strata to degradation and disrepute; from fame to folly, and from honour to dishonour.*

*Believers must abstain from all appearances of evil. Fornication is evil. It is a deadly poison. Do not meddle with immorality. Jochebed was the mother of the great and courageous leader - Moses, in the Bible. She was the mother of three prominent children - Miriam, Aaron and Moses. She gave birth to Moses at a time when Pharaoh made a decree to kill every Hebrew male baby to stop their growth and expansion.

In spite of the challenge, Jochebed was willing to risk everything for her child's safety. She hid him for the first three months and trusted God in the face of danger and uncertainty. She took another bold step of faith by placing him in a basket by the bank of River Nile.

By divine arrangement, Moses was found and adopted by Pharaoh's daughter. He still ended up with his mother who taught him the values of faith, courage, selflessness, humility and resilience, thereby preparing him for his role as a future leader.

*Jochebed knew her God, and because she did not give up too soon, God rewarded her courage with a son who did exploits for God. You too must be courageous to stand for the word of God, no matter the challenge. God will bless you in return.*

Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i.😀💝🌺🎁🌹🎀 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY. THURSDAY AUGUST 27, 2O26. "THERE'S NOBODY LIKE HIM! (2)" ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...’ Proverbs 9:10 NKJV IN A world out of control, we like a god we can control: a comforting presence who blesses, provides, and advises. When God is fully revealed to us and we ‘get it,’ then we experience the conversion of our fear…‘fear of the Lord’ is the deeply sane recognition that we are not God.’ Bible In A Year: Ezek 10-13, Matt 21:18-32, Ps 84, Pro 19:11. *1. The Past Graceless Life* a. *Question* What are some of the religious or denominational traditions that make salvation experience impossible in the life of a religious person? Have you remembered that it was God's grace, not religious performance, that brought you into salvation? *2. The Pure Gospel Lost* a. Apostle Paul expresses deep concern that those who had known God were turning again to weak and beggarly religious observances. Why call those traditions as religious and beggarly elements? They are weak because those Mosaic rules and rituals have zero power to save, justify or change a human heart. They are beggarly because they are "poverty-stricken" or bankrupt and offer no spiritual riches compared to Christ. *Question* Is your confidence resting in Christ alone or in religious activities that cannot transform the heart? *3. The Persuasion to Part with Legalism* a. The danger was not in observing days itself, but in trusting such practices as a means of acceptance with God. Whenever Christ is replaced by rituals, the purity of the gospel is compromised and spiritual growth is hindered. *Question* Is your confidence resting in Christ alone or in religious activities that cannot transform the heart? *3. The Persuasion to Part with Legalism* a. *Question* Are you willing to abandon every legalistic attitude and embrace the freedom and transforming power of the gospel? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, thank You for saving me by grace through the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from every form of empty religion and traditions with all its legalistic bondage🙏. 3.Father, help me to remain steadfast in the liberty and truth of the pure gospel and be not drifted away from Christ🙏. 4.Lord, deliver those who are deceived by religious traditions that are contrary to the pure gospel 🙏. *HYMN:* I have no other plea *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* ZEPHANIAH 1-3. Newton never forgot how God mercifully spared his life, saved his soul and delivered him from wasteful living and a blasphemous lifestyle. He lived the rest of his life juxtaposing what he had previously been with the transformation God had wrought in him. To keep this memory alive, he wrote out the fifteenth verse of the fifteenth chapter of Deuteronomy in bold letters and fastened it to the wall of his study.* *Had the Galatians exercised Newton's wisdom and spiritual intelligence, a thrilling testimony would have trailed their Christian walk. Glib-tongued Judaizers invaded the Galatian Church and swayed the nascent assembly off the pure New Testament faith Paul had laboured to teach and impart.* *Would Paul be cowed down, cave in or contend with the detractors of faith? It hurt him to see these Gentile Christians drawn into the spider-web of Judaizing Christians once again. Paul, after the manner of a passionate pastor, pleads with the Galatians in this letter not to return to their former spiritual slavery but rather break away from every Pharisaic bondage and enjoy the liberty Christ gave them freely. He wants them to understand their new identity - saints saved by grace, void of any allegiance to a race, culture or tradition.* *These are instructive scriptures for both shepherds and the flock in the fold. While shepherds and leaders of God's people diligently labour and watch over the flock, fencing out all modern Judaizers, every believer has the responsibility to resist the subtle penetration of the enemies of the cross and make an intelligent choice between Judaizers and the Justifier. • And the Lᴏʀᴅ said: I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt.

    Exodus 3:7

It is noteworthy how people often turn to the Bible when circumstances become dire. A politician refers to the Covid-19 pandemic as a “plague of biblical proportions”. Confronted with extreme criticism, he deflects it by saying, “I am neither the Pharaoh who oppressed, nor the Moses who liberated.”

Let’s rewind to ancient Egypt. The people of Israel groan under the oppression of Pharaoh. The situation becomes unbearable. The Israelites cry out to God and plead for deliverance. God hears and calls Moses to lead the people out of Egypt. But Pharaoh refuses to let them go; he is unwilling to relinquish his cheap labour force under any circumstances. So, God intervenes: He sends ten successive plagues upon Egypt, each worse than the last. That’s the biblical account in brief.

Isn’t it striking that the politician didn’t mention God? Yet God played the pivotal role in the plagues in Egypt. It wasn’t Moses who saved the people but only God, through His mighty intervention.

    So, let’s ask ourselves:

In times of distress, do we still call upon God or consciously ignore Him?Do we recognise that without God, we are lost?Do we come to the Saviour God who wants to save us?

Back then, God sought to change Pharaoh’s mindset through the plagues. Even today, God sometimes speaks very seriously to us. What do we do? Do we harden ours hearts like Pharaoh? Or do we open ourselves to God, confess our sins to Him, and gratefully accept His offer of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ?
    Today’s reading: Joshua 24:16-33 · 1 Corinthians 16:10-24

  • The theme of God as a divine warrior (see Exodus 14:14) spans the landscape of Scripture. Exodus 15 poetically depicts God at war with Pharaoh’s army, saying, “The Lord is a warrior” (v. 3). One Bible encyclopedia has this to say: “In the New Testament, the Divine Warrior theme is fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ. While the imagery shifts from physical battles to spiritual warfare, the essence of God as a warrior remains. In Revelation, Christ is depicted as the ultimate Divine Warrior who will defeat evil and establish His kingdom.” Today, when faced with temptation, we can rest in God, who fights for us.

  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS:

    SERMON TOPIC:-

    WHEN GOD CLOSES A DOOR.

Understanding Divine Closure, Redirection, and the Next Move of God.

    Key Scripture:

    Revelation 3:7 —
“What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

There are times in life when you pray for a door to open, you believe God has answered, you prepare yourself to walk through it—and suddenly, the door closes.
    The job opportunity disappears.
    The relationship ends.
    The business deal fails.
    The application is rejected.
The opportunity goes to someone else.
The plan you prayed about does not work.
    And you ask, “God, why?”
But here is a truth every believer must understand:
A closed door is not always a sign of God's absence. Sometimes it is evidence of God's protection.
We often celebrate God when He opens doors, but mature Christians must also learn to trust Him when He closes them.
Sometimes God closes a door because what is behind it would destroy what He is building inside you.
Sometimes God closes a door because the next chapter of your life requires you to leave the previous chapter behind.
And sometimes God closes a door because He is preparing to open another one that you could never have opened for yourself.
    1. GOD CAN CLOSE A DOOR FOR YOUR PROTECTION

    Scripture: Proverbs 16:9

«“A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”»
There are things we desperately want because we can only see what is in front of us.
But God sees what is beyond the door.
    You may see an opportunity.
    God may see a trap.
    You may see a relationship.
God may see the pain it will produce.
    You may see a promotion.
God may see the pride it could create.
You may see a business opportunity.
God may see the consequences you cannot yet see.

    Biblical Example:
    Balaam

In Numbers 22, Balaam was travelling in a direction he thought was acceptable, but God placed an angel in his path.
Balaam could not see the danger.
    His donkey could.
What Balaam considered an obstacle was actually divine protection.
Sometimes you are frustrated because something is blocking your way, while heaven is saying:
“I am blocking this because I know what you don't know.”
    Don't curse every closed door.
    Some closed doors are mercy.
    2. GOD MAY CLOSE ONE DOOR TO REDIRECT YOU TO ANOTHER

    Scripture: Acts 16:6–10

Paul and his companions wanted to preach in certain regions, but Scripture says:
«“They were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia.”»
Then Paul received a vision of a man from Macedonia saying, “Come over into Macedonia, and help us.”
    Notice something powerful:
Paul was doing God's work, yet God still closed a door.
    This teaches us that:
A good idea is not necessarily a God idea for this particular season.
You can be sincere and still be moving in the wrong direction.
You can have a legitimate opportunity and still not have divine permission.
You can pray, plan, prepare—and God can still say:
    “Not this way.”
The closed door redirected Paul toward Macedonia, where God had prepared a greater assignment.

    Spiritual Insight

Never allow disappointment to make you disobey divine direction.
When God closes a door, ask:
“Lord, where are You directing me?”
    Not merely:
“Lord, why did You stop me?”
    3. A CLOSED DOOR DOES NOT MEAN A CLOSED FUTURE

    Scripture: Revelation 3:7

«“What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”»
One closed door does not mean your entire future has been cancelled.
David was rejected by his family.
Joseph was rejected by his brothers.
Moses experienced rejection before returning to Egypt.
Paul experienced opposition throughout his ministry.
Yet God's purpose for them continued.
    Remember this:
A closed chapter is not a closed destiny.
You may lose an opportunity without losing your purpose.
You may lose a relationship without losing your future.
You may lose a position without losing your calling.
You may experience rejection without becoming rejected by God.
The enemy wants you to interpret one disappointment as the conclusion of your entire story.
    But God says:
    “I am still writing.”
    4. SOMETIMES GOD CLOSES A DOOR BECAUSE YOU HAVE OUTGROWN THE ROOM

    Scripture:

    Isaiah 43:18–19

«“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.”»
There are seasons you cannot enter while continuously holding onto the previous one.
The children of Israel could not remain in Egypt forever.
    Ruth had to leave Moab.
Abraham had to leave his father's house.
The disciples had to leave their nets and follow Jesus.
    Growth requires movement.
Sometimes the door closes because God is calling you forward.
You keep asking God to reopen what He has already closed.
    But God may be saying:
“Stop trying to return to where I am trying to take you from.”
Some people are praying for restoration when God is offering transformation.
Some are asking God to rebuild yesterday when God is preparing tomorrow.
    5. LEARN TO TRUST GOD WHEN YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND HIM
    Scripture: Romans 8:28
«“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”»
Notice that Scripture does not say everything that happens is good.
It says God can work all things together for good.
    The rejection can become redirection.
    The disappointment can become development.
    The delay can become preparation.
The closed door can become protection.
The ending can become the beginning of something greater.
    Faith says:
“God, I don't understand this, but I trust You.”
    That is mature faith.
Anyone can praise God when everything is working.
But there is a deeper level of worship when you can say:
“Even when I don't understand Your decision, I still trust Your character.”

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

    JOSEPH

Joseph received a dream from God, but his journey did not immediately look like the dream.
He was hated by his brothers.
He was thrown into a pit.
    He was sold into slavery.
    He was falsely accused.
    He was imprisoned.
Door after door seemed to close.
But God was not abandoning Joseph.
    God was positioning Joseph.
The pit was not the palace.
The prison was not the promotion.
The rejection was not the conclusion.
    Eventually, Joseph stood before Pharaoh.
    Genesis 50:20 captures the revelation:
«“Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.”»
What looked like destruction became divine positioning.
    Somebody needs to hear this:
Your current closed door may be part of a larger story that you cannot see yet.
Don't abandon God because you don't understand the chapter.
    Keep walking.
    Keep praying.
    Keep serving.
    Keep believing.
The God who gave you the promise is still working on the process.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    1. Not every closed door is an attack.
    Some are divine interventions.
    2. God's “NO” can be as loving as His “YES.”
A parent who loves a child does not give the child everything they request.
    God is your Father.
    3. Timing matters.
Something can be good but wrong for your present season.
    4. Never force what God has closed.
When God closes a door, human manipulation cannot make it God's will.
    5. Look for God's presence beyond the door.
Sometimes we become so focused on what we lost that we fail to notice where God is leading us.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    When God closes a door:
    1. Don't panic.
Take time to pray before making emotional decisions.
    2. Don't force it open.
What God has closed does not need manipulation.
    3. Examine your heart.
Ask whether the closure is correction, protection, preparation, or redirection.
    4. Seek God's Word.
Don't interpret your circumstances without Scripture.
    5. Ask for direction.
Pray: “Lord, show me what You want me to do next.”
    6. Keep moving.
A closed door should not become an excuse to stop your entire life.
    7. Trust God's timing.
What you cannot understand today may become clear tomorrow.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. What closed door am I currently struggling to accept?
    2. Am I trying to force open something God may have closed?
    3. Could this disappointment actually be divine protection?
    4. What might God be redirecting me toward?
    5. Am I more committed to God's will or to my own plans?
    6. What lesson is God teaching me in this season?
    7. Can I still trust God even when I don't understand Him?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
Father, give me the grace to recognize when You are closing a door for my protection.
    2.
Lord, deliver me from forcing doors that You have closed.
    3.
Father, when one door closes, give me spiritual eyes to see the door You are opening.
    4.
Lord, heal every disappointment caused by rejection, delay, and closed opportunities.
    5.
Father, redirect my steps into Your perfect will.
    6.
Every door that must remain closed for my protection, give me the grace to leave it closed.
    7.
Lord, open the doors that align with Your purpose for my life.
    8.
Father, strengthen my faith when I cannot understand what You are doing.
    9.
Every good thing You have ordained for my life, let no power of darkness permanently hinder it.
    10.
Lord Jesus, let my life become a testimony that even through closed doors, You were working for my good.

    CALL TO ACTION

Beloved, don't spend the rest of your life standing in front of a door God has already closed.
There is a time to knock.
There is a time to wait.
There is also a time to walk away.
If God closed it, trust Him.
If God blocked it, thank Him.
If God redirected you, follow Him.
If God is preparing another door, wait for Him.
You may not understand the closure today.
But one day you may look back and say:
“Thank God that door did not open.”
The door you are crying over today may be the very door God closed because He saw something you could not see.
    So dry your tears.
    Strengthen your faith.
    Lift your eyes.
    Your story is not over.
    There is still purpose.
    There is still grace.
    There is still a future.
And there are doors that only God can open.

    DECLARE BY FAITH:

“I will not die at a closed door.
I will not force what God has closed.
I will not allow rejection to destroy my faith.
    I will trust God's direction.
    I will follow His purpose.
And when my appointed door opens, no man will be able to shut it!”
    In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

David was rejected by his family. Joseph was rejected by his brothers. Moses experienced rejection before returning to Egypt. Paul experienced opposition throughout his ministry. Yet God's purpose for them continued. Remember this: A closed chapter is not a closed destiny. You may lose an opportunity without losing your purpose. You may lose a relationship without losing your future. You may lose a position without losing your calling. You may experience rejection without becoming rejected by God. The enemy wants you to interpret one disappointment as the conclusion of your entire story. But God says: “I am still writing.” 4. SOMETIMES GOD CLOSES A DOOR BECAUSE YOU HAVE OUTGROWN THE ROOM Scripture: Isaiah 43:18–19 «“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.”» There are seasons you cannot enter while continuously holding onto the previous one. But God may be saying: “Stop trying to return to where I am trying to take you from.” Some people are praying for restoration when God is offering transformation. Some are asking God to rebuild yesterday when God is preparing tomorrow. 5. LEARN TO TRUST GOD WHEN YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND HIM Scripture: Romans 8:28 «“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”» Notice that Scripture does not say everything that happens is good. It says God can work all things together for good. The rejection can become redirection. The disappointment can become development. The delay can become preparation. The closed door can become protection. The ending can become the beginning of something greater. Faith says: “God, I don't understand this, but I trust You.” That is mature faith. Anyone can praise God when everything is working. But there is a deeper level of worship when you can say: “Even when I don't understand Your decision, I still trust Your character.” BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: JOSEPH Joseph received a dream from God, but his journey did not immediately look like the dream. Genesis 50:20 captures the revelation: «“Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.”» What looked like destruction became divine positioning. Somebody needs to hear this: Your current closed door may be part of a larger story that you cannot see yet. Don't abandon God because you don't understand the chapter. Keep walking. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep believing. The God who gave you the promise is still working on the process. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS 1. Not every closed door is an attack. Some are divine interventions. 2. God's “NO” can be as loving as His “YES.” A parent who loves a child does not give the child everything they request. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS When God closes a door: 1. Pray: “Lord, show me what You want me to do next.” 6. Keep moving. A closed door should not become an excuse to stop your entire life. 7. Trust God's timing. What you cannot understand today may become clear tomorrow. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. CALL TO ACTION Beloved, don't spend the rest of your life standing in front of a door God has already closed. There is a time to knock. There is a time to wait. There is also a time to walk away. If God closed it, trust Him. If God blocked it, thank Him. If God redirected you, follow Him. If God is preparing another door, wait for Him. You may not understand the closure today. But one day you may look back and say: “Thank God that door did not open.” The door you are crying over today may be the very door God closed because He saw something you could not see. So dry your tears. Strengthen your faith. Lift your eyes. Your story is not over. There is still purpose. There is still grace. There is still a future. And there are doors that only God can open. DECLARE BY FAITH: “I will not die at a closed door. I will not force what God has closed. I will not allow rejection to destroy my faith. I will trust God's direction. I will follow His purpose. And when my appointed door opens, no man will be able to shut it!” In Jesus' mighty name. Amen! If you have not given your life to Jesus kindly do so by joining a Bible believing Church. Read; Galations 5:13

Freedom is a great gift, but we must know how to use it well. In Christ, we are freed from sin's dominion and from the law's condemnation, not released into moral indifference. This liberty is a blessing from God, never an excuse for selfish desire. Paul directs our freedom toward loving service: instead of using others, we willingly serve them. Christian liberty therefore does not turn us inward. It frees us to love our neighbors with kindness, patience, and practical care, reflecting the character of Christ in our relationships.

    Prayer

Thank You, O Great God of Deliverance, for saving Daniel from the lion's den, David from the sword of Goliath, and Israel from Pharaoh's clutches. But most of all, I thank You, O Great Deliverer, for Jesus' triumph over sin at Calvary and His triumph over death at the empty tomb. I want to thank You in person for giving me my freedom. Help me use this gift of freedom to serve Your children and live for You until that time. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

    DATE: FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: BREAKING COVENANTS, PART 1

    MEMORIZE:
"But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?" Ezekiel 17:15 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: 1 SAMUEL 2:27-31
27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

    MESSAGE:
God is faithful; He never breaks His promises, nor does He go back on His word. James 1:17 says that there is no variableness nor shadow of turning with Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He never breaks His covenants. However, if a fellow breaks a covenant he or she has made with God, then God is under no obligation to keep His part of the covenant.

In Numbers 25:6-13, God made a covenant of eternal priesthood with Phinehas, Eleazar's son, because, in his zeal for the Lord, he struck a man and his concubine dead. However, in today's Bible reading, God told Eli, "I entered into a covenant that you and your father's house will stand before Me forever, but since you have broken the covenant, I am saying, let it be far from Me." Eli's carelessness annulled the covenant God made with his ancestor, Phinehas. As a result of the broken covenant, God's hedge of protection departed from Eli's household, and his two sons died on the same day. When Eli heard the news of their death, he also died that same day, along with the wife of one of his sons. This illustrates the importance of a covenant and that the consequence of breaking one is usually death.

The death of a person who is a party to a covenant typically releases such a person from fulfilling his or her part in the covenant; however, God remains faithful to His covenants, even after a person He is in covenant with dies. Deuteronomy 7:9 says that He keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments to the thousandth generation. Exodus 34:7 tells us that He keeps mercy for thousands. When you keep your covenant with God, it will extend to your descendants. When God promised Abraham that through his seed, all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 22:18), that promise found its ultimate fulfilment in Jesus, who came 42 generations after Abraham, approximately 2,000 years later. When God promised David that he would always have a seed to sit on the throne (Psalm 89:3-4,29), He never broke His side of the covenant. That covenant was also fulfilled in Jesus.

Beloved, remain faithful to your covenant with God, for in doing so, you will release immeasurable blessings upon yourself and your descendants for generations to come.

    KEY POINT:
God is faithful; He never breaks His covenants.
