    Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21. – {UL 248.1}
    Love for God should lead us to find true enjoyment in learning and doing His will. Thus we become every day better prepared to be overcomers, examples of the power that heavenly grace has to uplift and ennoble human beings. Christ was tempted in all points like as we are, yet He overcame. And today He waits to hear and answer the earnest requests of His children for the grace that will enable them to overcome. – {UL 248.2}
    Be polite to those with whom you come in contact; thus you will be polite to God. Praise Him for His goodness; thus you are witnesses for Him, and you are preparing for the society of the angels. You are learning in this world how to conduct yourselves in the family of Christ in heaven. – {UL 248.3}
    Lose no time in becoming acquainted with the principles that the children of God must follow. We are here to copy the character of Christ, to become familiar with His gentleness, His lowliness. This will place us where our record will be, “Ye are complete in him.” (Colossians 2:10). By patience, kindness, forbearance, we are to show that we are not of the world, that day by day we are learning the lessons that will fit us to enter the higher school. – {UL 248.4}
    When God’s redeemed ones are called to heaven, they will not leave behind the advancement they have made in this life by beholding Christ. They will go on, learning more and still more of God. They will carry their spiritual attainments into the courts above, leaving nothing of heavenly origin in this world. As the books of heaven are opened, each overcomer is assigned his lot and place in heaven, in accordance with the advancement he has made in this life. – {UL 248.5}
    The sons and daughters of God are led to persevere in the work of overcoming by the daily realization that they need to be taught by the Holy Spirit the good and righteous way. No sham work enters into their service. Every day they realize that they must hold fast the beginning of their confidence firm unto the end. When one deviates from the right way, the Holy Spirit, working on his mind, leads him to confess his error so that others will be warned against the same mistake. No one is to feel that his position is so exalted that he need not acknowledge his faults, lest others place a low estimate upon him.... – {UL 248.6}
    Never should a man ... be too proud to make the acknowledgment, “I have erred.” The least he can do, after he has sinned, is to show his sorrow and repentance. Men who do this will be honored by God, even though they make mistakes.—Manuscript 31, August 22, 1903, “Lessons From the Third Chapter of First John.” – {UL 248.7}

  • LOVE THAT OVERCOMES

    There’s an interesting story in Numbers that contrasts two ways of looking at obstacles. The Israelites have escaped slavery in Egypt and traveled to the edge of the Promised Land. And before they all enter, Moses sends 12 men to spy it out.

    One spy named Caleb comes back with this report:

    “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30)

    What a great faith statement! Unfortunately his confidence was not shared by others.

    But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we. There we saw the giants; … and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” (Numbers 13:31, 33)

    Why did they have that viewpoint? Because of how they viewed themselves. If we look at a problem and say, “I’m just a grasshopper,” then we fail before we start. We defeat ourselves if we think we can’t go somewhere or do something that God has commanded.

    In our world today, we can face all kinds of threats and fears. Yet we need to resist and declare, “We can overcome this.”

    What image are we made in—a grasshopper's? No. We are made in the image of God.

    So now the question is, do we act like Him? Do we think like Him? And most importantly, do we love like Him?

    As John 3:16 says,

    “God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son.”

    Let His heart of love resonate through everything that you do.

    Love casts out fear. Love overcomes all obstacles. Faith works through love. When you have that, you are reflecting the image of the Father. You’re truly becoming like Him.

    Paul, who faced incredible persecution, wrote,

    Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

    When we do this, we are more than overcomers. As Romans 8:37 explains, we are more than conquerors through the love of Christ given to us. We need to view ourselves as God’s love extending to a hurting world. And when we overflow with His love, no obstacle can stand—for His love never fails.

    God bless you.

  • Christ promise to overcomers
    Revelation 2 Kullie Mawolo
    [vs: 11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
     The Bible is the word of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to his church and to all believers in every generations. in this verse Christ made a solem and glorious promise to everyone who shall overcome to the end-they shall not be hurt of the second death.
    We have all been overcomed bySatan,sin and the world in our past, but the journey into an overcoming life begins with  repentance from all sin and  faith in Jesus Christ,we come to him for mercy , forgiveness and salvation, with sincere willingness to turn away from our sinful ways . from that moment we receive power to become children of God and begin to live in victory.
    *The  definition of second death:
    The scripture  present death not simply as a ceasesion of existence but separation.
    *Physical death is the separation of the body from the soul
    *Spiritual death is the separation from God because of sin.
    *Second death is the everlasting separation from God in the lake of fire for all eternity.
    Key truths:
    1,To be saved from the second death which is the lake of fire,one must live and die as an overcomer over sin .
    2,A life deliberately lived in sin is a prove of absent of salvation.
    3,We can not be  living in defeat and expect to receive the promise given to overcomers:
    Let us therefore examine our lives and seek for grace to live the overcoming life.

  • HEAVEN IS FOR OVERCOMERS
    Revelation 2 [NIV]
    [vs: 7] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
    Adam and Eve was denied the right to eat of the three of life in the garden of Eden because they were overcomed by the devil when he decieved them to eat the fruit of the knowledge of evil and good in disobedience to GOD'S commmandment.
    They were driving out from Paradise that they may not eat of the tree of life and lives in sin without dying
    So also now those who lives in sin are eating the forbidden fruit and  are overcomed by the devil and will not be allowed into heaven if they die in that condition.
    *Things to overcome to make heaven.
    1, Satan,2 temptations
     3,sin,4 the flesh
    5, the world .
    *How to overcome.
    1, faith in Jesus
    2, repentance from all sin,3 watchfulness and prayer,4 self denial
    5, total yeildedness to Christ
    6,steadfast resistance of the devil.
    7, heavenly mindedness.
    Key lessons:
    The only alternative to being an overcomer is to be defeated by sin and Satan and to be denied entrance into heaven.

  • OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: MONDAY 20TH JULY 2026

    TOPIC: THE KEYS TO FREEDOM, PART 1

    MEMORIZE:
    "For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper." Psalm 72:12 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: MARK 10:46-52
    46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

    47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

    48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

    49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

    50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

    51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

    52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

    MESSAGE:
    God does not want anyone to be under satan's yoke. This is why Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). God is more than able to break the enemy's yoke over anyone (Isaiah 10:27), but such a person must first admit that he or she needs to be delivered.

    Years ago, a man brought his wife to me and said, "Daddy, help me. My wife is a witch." I asked the woman if it was true, and she denied it. I then told her that if she was indeed a witch, as her husband claimed, we could pray with her, and she would be delivered. However, she insisted that she wasn't a witch because she wasn't willing to be delivered. I then prayed, "If you're not a witch, you will continue to prosper; however, if you are, I bind whatever demon is operating in you." Three months later, she was brought back to me with her body so swollen, as she had doubled in size! Apparently, the demon that I bound inside her and had been feeding on her and defecating in her.

    The first step for someone who is under the devil's yoke to become free is for the fellow to admit that there is a burden that he or she needs to be freed from. Until the fellow makes such an admission, he or she cannot be free. Likewise, if the person is okay with where he or she is and is satisfied with sickness, loneliness, barrenness, sorrow, or pain, he or she will remain under the burden of satan.

    Sometime ago, a man was coughing badly, and he was brought to me for prayers. In the past, I would have gone ahead and prayed for him without asking questions, but from experience, I had learnt to ask questions. Therefore, I asked him, "Sir, how can I help you?" Even though it was clear that he was sick, I knew that I needed to ask him what he really wanted, just as Jesus asked Bartimaeus what he wanted in today's Bible reading. To my surprise, the man said, "I want you to pray that the cough leaves slowly."

    Beloved, are you under satan's yoke in any area of your life? Admit that you need God's help and cry to Him to break it off immediately and completely. He will come to your aid speedily and deliver you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

    KEY POINT:
    The first step to gaining freedom from the devil's yoke is to admit the need for help.

    BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR:
    ISAIAH 20 - 24

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

    HYMNAL 6 - CONQUERORS AND OVERCOMERS NOW ARE WE
    1. Conquerors and overcomes
    now are we, Thro' the precious blood of Christ we've victory If the Lord be for us, we can never fail, Nothing 'gainst His mighty pow'r can e'er prevail.

    CHORUS:
    Conquerors are we, through the blood of Jesus,
    God will give us victory, through the blood of Jesus,
    Thro' the Lamb for sinners slain, Yet who lives and reigns again, More than conquerors are we, More than conquerors are we.

    2. In the name of Israel's God we'll onward press, Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness; Not to us, but unto Him the praise shall be, For Salvation and for blood bought victory.

    3. Unto him that overcometh shall be given, Here to eat of hidden manna sent from heav'n, Over yonder he the victors palm shall bear, And a robe of white, and golden crown shall wear.

    OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONDAY 20TH JULY 2026 TOPIC: THE KEYS TO FREEDOM, PART 1 MEMORIZE: "For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper." Psalm 72:12 (KJV) BIBLE READING: MARK 10:46-52 46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. MESSAGE: God does not want anyone to be under satan's yoke. To my surprise, the man said, "I want you to pray that the cough leaves slowly." Beloved, are you under satan's yoke in any area of your life? Admit that you need God's help and cry to Him to break it off immediately and completely. He will come to your aid speedily and deliver you, in the mighty name of Jesus. KEY POINT: The first step to gaining freedom from the devil's yoke is to admit the need for help. BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: ISAIAH 20 - 24 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. In the name of Israel's God we'll onward press, Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness; Not to us, but unto Him the praise shall be, For Salvation and for blood bought victory. CHORUS: 3.
