THE NAME THAT RULES HEAVEN AND EARTH And Jesus Came And Spake Unto Them, Saying, All Power Is Given Unto Me In Heaven And In Earth" (Matthew 28:18 KJV). When the Lord Jesus declared, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth," He made a proclamation no earthly ruler could ever truthfully make. Throughout history, mighty empires arose with extraordinary influence and vast dominions. The Pharaohs ruled with terrifying authority in Egypt. Nebuchadnezzar expanded Babylon's greatness across nations. The Persians, the Greeks, and later the Romans each dominated the world in their time. Yet, every one of those empires eventually crumbled. However, while Rome still stood in all its pride and "Glory," the Lord Jesus came on the scene with a higher dominion. This wasn't merely political authority or earthly influence but absolute authority over all realms, visible and invisible, celestial and terrestrial. No emperor ever possessed that. No king ever ruled both heaven and earth. Only the Lord Jesus declared such authority. This was why the disciples were so fiercely persecuted. They proclaimed another Kingdom while Caesar was still emperor. They preached a Name greater than Rome's authority, and the rulers of that age couldn't tolerate it. Yet, while they all faded away, the dominion of Christ continued increasingly unabated. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." His authority hasn't diminished. His Name hasn't weakened through the ages. The same Name that healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils, and shook nations in Bible days carries the same power today. More wonderfully, He's given us the power of attorney, the legal right and divine authority to act in His stead. When you speak in the Name of Jesus, you're not uttering mere words; you're exercising authority from the One who rules heaven and earth. Therefore, never be intimidated by earthly systems, oppositions, or circumstances. Empires may rise and fall, governments may change, and human powers may fade, but the Name of the Lord Jesus remains eternally supreme. Use that Name with boldness. Use it to enforce His will in your world, for He rules over all, now and forever. Hallelujah! Half of what they say denounces sin and the other half condemns those who see human suffering and do nothing about it. Yet events that horrified those same prophets take place in our world every day, and we’re immune to them. Like wearing a watch, you get used to it and after a while you don’t even notice it. But the prophets noticed! They never became desensitised to sin—or human suffering. And you mustn’t either. In the end, they become the victims of their ego and exaggerated sense of power and importance.* *This is what happened to the kings of the nations on the east of River Jordan. The children of Israel were on a journey ordered by the Almighty God. They were heading to the land of Canaan, in fulfilment of the promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their land was not part of Canaan, and therefore, was not intended to be inherited by the Israelites. The inheritance of the Israelites was to be solely Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey. But on their way, the Israelites encountered nations that had heard about the supernatural work of God in bringing them out of Egypt. Although the Israelites did not declare war against them, these nations, some out of unfounded fear of losing their territory, and others out of envy and hatred against this nation that had a God that can subdue, humble and defeat Egypt, the great world power of the time, took it on themselves to stop Israel from progressing towards their land of promise. One of such kings was Sihon, king of the Amorites, whose nation was mainly a lush vegetation sandwiched by rivers and plain land that was a haven for pastoralists and for other forms of agriculture. The other king was Og, king of Bashan, a land of the remnants of the giants, with similar topography as the land of the Amorites. When they rose against the Israelites, they were roundly defeated, their kingdoms destroyed and their land confiscated by Moses. He subsequently allocated the land to two and half tribes of Israel, which desired to settle there because it was suitable for their vocation as pastoralists. Had those nations stayed out of the way of the Israelites, they would have remained in their land.* *We must be wise and not take on battles that are not ours, whether out of sympathy with other people or to prove that we are powerful. As believers, we have more than enough battles against principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, against sin and Satan. The armour Christ has given us is intended to defeat these adversaries. It is not to be wasted on self-imposed battles that do not benefit the kingdom of God. Those who engage in the wrong battles suffer great loss, and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. Some are penned down in the Bible while there are many more that have been experienced by individuals, families, communities and nations since creation of man. The fact that God is immutable guarantees that those miracles can be repeated and increased in greatness and number. One of the greatest ways to strengthen faith is to deliberately rehearse God's faithfulness and meditate on those past wonders of God. Throughout Scripture, God often instructed His people to remember His mighty acts so that they would trust Him for future victories. Israel's conquest of the Amorites under Sihon and the later record of those victories in Joshua remind us that God's past interventions are powerful testimonies of His unfailing covenant. Every believer should cultivate the habit of recalling God's goodness instead of dwelling on past fears or failures. As we recount His faithfulness, our confidence in His promises grows. *1.Arrogant Courting of Battles* Israel peacefully requested passage through the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, but Sihon arrogantly rejected the request and chose war instead (Numbers 21:21–25). It is the norm in military warfare that you don't fight those who come and prefer peace to war. The worst is to lead them as captives. Sihon had taken pride in defeating Moab and taking her possessions (Numbers 21:26-2). Their victory over Moab was celebrated as it became a song in the land. He was optimistic and emboldened that he could repeat the same feat against Israel. However, he was thoughtless and proud. His pride blinded him to the fact that he was fighting against God's covenant people. It is dangerous and risky to fight against the covenant people of God. The battle ended in complete defeat of Sihon because no human strength can prevail against God's purpose. b. Believers have the domineering power of Jesus Christ to crush every power of the adversaries. However, this is not a license for believers to arrogantly court and tempt the people of darkness to unnecessary warfare. When Herod wanted Jesus to perform some miracles for a show of power, Jesus declined because it was unnecessary (Luke 23:8). When Satan tempted Jesus to jump down from the mountain, Jesus also declined because it was an unnecessary show of power. Believers should avoid unnecessary boasting and fight in the name of the Lord that is borne out of arrogance or pride. Believers should never fear opposition, for God remains the Defender of those who trust Him. At the same time, we must guard against pride, remembering that arrogance always invites destruction. *Question* Am I trusting God's strength in life's battles, or am I relying on human confidence and pride? *2. Appreciative Counting of Blessings* Joshua carefully recorded the kings and their land, whom God had delivered into Israel's hands (Joshua 12:1–5). These verses are more than historical records—they are memorials of divine faithfulness. God's people are encouraged to remember every victory and every answered prayer. Gratitude protects the heart from discouragement and unbelief. When we regularly count our blessings, we discover that God's mercies greatly outweigh our trials. Thanksgiving also prepares us to receive greater blessings from the Lord. As the psalmist puts it, *"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."* This will take a diligent and deliberate effort like Joshua did when he wrote down and recalled the good wonders of God to himself and to the whole Israel. *Question* How often do I deliberately remember and thank God for His past faithfulness in my life? *3. Additions to Covenant for the Beloved* a. The conquered territories were not part of the promised Canaan inheritance. But Sihon and Og lost their land through their pride and arrogance and those blessings were taken from them and added to the children of Israel (Joshua 12:6). After getting victory, Moses assigned the conquered territory to the tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh as their inheritance. God's faithfulness extends beyond victory in battle to the fulfillment of His covenant promises. b. There are several cases where God took away the assigned blessing of the arrogant and added them to the portion of the godly. Reuben and Esau were supposed to have the double blessings of their first born, but they both lost them through carelessness and profanity. Their blessings were added to Judah and Jacob respectively. Jesus warned the Ephesian Church of loss of ministry if they didn't repent from the loss of their first love and the immoral practices of the Nicolaitans(Revelation 2:5). He also warned the Pastor of Philadelphia that if he was not watchful, his crown would be taken from him and be given or added to another person. *"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown"* (Revelation 3:11). Remember, King Saul lost his crown, which was supposed to be generational, to David. The same with Esau and none of them could get his back. Fight and be watchful to retain and enjoy all your blessings and inheritance assigned to you by God. *Question* Am I very watchful and prayerful in ensuring that my blessings and inheritance are not taken from me and transferred to another person? *Prayer Points* 1.Heavenly Father, help me always remember and celebrate Your faithfulness in every season of my life 🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from every form of pride, boasting and unnecessary show of power and grant me victory over every battle confronting my faith 🙏. 3.Give me a grateful heart that continually counts Your blessings instead of focusing on life's difficulties. 4.Give Your children grace to be watchful and prayerful and don't allow anyone to take their assigned blessings and inheritance 🙏. *HYMN:* Count Your Blessings *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 26-29. 2. The word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and My Spirit, remain among you: fear ye not. Haggai 2:5 ᴊɴᴅ We can give thanks to God that, as we await the coming of the Lord Jesus, we always have with us His precious Word, which not only does not change but “abides for eternity” (1 Pet. 1:25). This world wants to make us believe God’s Word is archaic, man-made, full of mistakes, not from God, and that it should be adapted to our times. But not so! It is “not men’s word, but … as it is truly, God’s word” (1 Th. 2:13), and it does not change: “the word of the Lord abides for eternity” (1 Pet. 1:25). We are also blessed and privileged to have God’s Holy Spirit who abides with us, and is in us, and will be with us forever (Jn. 14:16–17)! The natural man can neither receive nor know the things of God, but the Spirit of God makes us know “the things which have been freely given to us of God” (1 Cor. 2:12). And thus we can build ourselves up on our most holy faith, the Spirit of God using the Word of God to make us know and grasp as a living and present reality the things concerning “Him who has called [us] out of darkness to His wonderful light” (1 Pet. 2:9), as well as all of God’s eternal purpose “for them that love Him” (1 Cor. 2:9). Haggai had a similar message for his contemporaries when he declared from the Lord, “Work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts. The word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and my Spirit, remain among you: fear ye not” (Hag. 2:4–5). The people had to rebuild the temple, for the Messiah, “the desire of all nations” (v. 7), was coming, and there was work still to be done. And so for us: until we hear the sound of the last trumpet, we have the same encouragement, to work at the edification of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:11–12), finding all the resources of grace we need to do so in our soon coming Lord Jesus Christ! *ABUJA AND THE NEW ERA: AN ESCHATOLOGICAL VIEW OF THE GLOBAL ANGLICAN HEADQUARTERS* _By Postulant C. O. Oyadosu_ *INTRODUCTION: NOT JUST GEOGRAPHY, BUT PROPHECY* To the glory of God, the announcement on *29 August 2026 in Recife, Brazil*, that the headquarters of the *Global Anglican Communion* will be established in *Abuja, Nigeria*, is more than an administrative decision. It is a prophetic marker. While some individuals in their opinion rightly calls for wisdom, humility, and global representation, we must also read this moment through the lens of *Scripture, history, and eschatology*. God is not surprised by geography. He ordains seasons. What we are witnessing is not Africa “taking over” Anglicanism. It is the *return of Christianity to its ancient African roots* and the beginning of an *End-Time Revival that will be led from the Global South*. *1. CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA PREDATES EUROPEAN MISSIONS* The argument that Anglicanism must remain tied to Canterbury because “that is where it began” overlooks a deeper biblical and historical truth: *Africa was Christian before Europe was*. 1. *Ethiopia*: The Ethiopian eunuch in *Acts 8:26-39* took the Gospel to Africa in the 1st century. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church traces its roots to the 4th century, with the _Garima Gospels_ and a canon of 81 books preserved for 1600 years. 2. *North Africa*: Alexandria, Carthage, and Hippo produced giants like Athanasius, Origen, Tertullian, and Augustine. The Nicene Creed was hammered out in North Africa. 3. *Christianity is not a Western export*. It is an Eastern and African faith that later flourished in Europe. Therefore, to locate the Global Anglican headquarters in *Abuja* is not innovation. It is *restoration*. It is God bringing the Communion back to a continent where the faith was planted by the Apostles themselves. As *Colossians 3:16* declares for this last Sunday of August: _“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”_ That Word first dwelt richly in African soil. *2. AN ESCHATOLOGICAL READING: THE SHIFT TO THE GLOBAL SOUTH* Jesus said in *Matthew 24:14*: _“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”_ Church historians like Philip Jenkins in _The Next Christendom_ have documented what the Spirit is doing: *The numerical and spiritual centre of Christianity has moved to Africa, Asia, and Latin America.* The decision to place the headquarters in *Abuja* fits this eschatological pattern: 1. *Numerical strength*: Over 60% of active Anglicans today are in Africa. Nigeria alone has more Anglicans than all of UK, US, Canada and Australia combined. 2. *Doctrinal clarity*: In a season where Western provinces are revising biblical teaching on marriage, life, and authority of Scripture, God is raising up a bastion of biblical orthodoxy in the South. 3. *Missionary sending*: For 500 years the West sent missionaries to Africa. In this season, Africa is sending missionaries back to Europe, America, and Asia. This is not nationalism. This is *fulfillment*. The last shall be first, and the first last. *Mark 10:31* *3. WHY ABUJA? WHY NOW? PROPHECY AND REVIVAL* Many prophetic voices across Africa for the last 30 years have spoken of an *“End-Time Revival that will start from Nigeria and spread to the nations.”* Nigeria’s Anglican Church has been at the forefront of: - Church planting movements - Prayer and fasting culture - Defense of Scripture under persecution - Youth and evangelistic fervour The *G26 gathering in Abuja, March 2026*, was not accidental. It was a divine alignment. Abuja, the centrally located capital of the most populous black nation, becomes a *new Upper Room* from where the Spirit will be poured out. Just as Jerusalem was the geographic center for the 1st century Church in *Acts 1:8*, *Abuja can be a 21st century center* for a global outpouring — not because Nigeria is superior, but because God chooses weak and unlikely places to shame the wise. *1 Corinthians 1:27* *4. ANSWERING THE CONCERNS: INFRASTRUCTURE, GLOBALITY, AND OWNERSHIP* Some highly respected Anglican Church fathers in God raised legitimate practical concerns. But eschatology teaches us that *God provides infrastructure for what He ordains*. 1. *On Infrastructure*: Joseph was sent to Egypt, Daniel to Babylon, and Paul to Rome. God never waits for perfect roads before He moves. As the headquarters grows, God will raise partners, technology, and diaspora Anglicans to build it. The early Church had no “international banking” either. 2. *On Global Representation*: Yes, leadership must reflect Africa + Asia + Europe + Americas + Pacific. But global representation does not require a Western postcode. With virtual platforms and international flights to Abuja increasing daily, *global access is a matter of will, not geography.* 3. *On “Looking African”*: The Gospel has always looked like the people who carry it. When it was in Rome it looked Roman. In Canterbury it looked English. In Antioch it looked Middle Eastern. *Let it now look African, and let the world come and see the glory of God in it.* The goal is not to erase culture, but to submit every culture to Christ. The headquarters in Abuja will not “own” the Communion. *Christ owns it.* But the location will be a sign that God is doing a new thing. *Isaiah 43:19* *5. ABUJA MUST BE MORE THAN AN OFFICE — IT MUST BE AN ALTAR* I agree fully with Venerable Dr Jesulola here. If Abuja is to host the headquarters, it must become: 1. *A Global Anglican Prayer Centre* - 24/7 worship like David’s tabernacle 2. *An International Theological Institute* - Raising the next generation of orthodox scholars 3. *A Missionary Training and Sending Base* - For Europe, Asia, and the Americas 4. *An Archives and Research Library* - To recover African, Ethiopian, and Global South contributions to Anglican theology This will silence critics and prove that this is not about pride, but about *mission*. *CONCLUSION: THE HEADQUARTERS MAY BE IN ABUJA, BUT THE VISION IS FOR THE WORLD AND FOR THE END* Beloved, we are not in a time for timidity. We are in a time for faith. The decision to place the Global Anglican Communion headquarters in Abuja is: 1. *Historical*: Returning to Africa’s ancient Christian roots in Ethiopia and North Africa 2. *Missional*: Placing leadership where the growth and sacrifice is greatest 3. *Eschatological*: A sign that God is shifting the centre of global Christianity for the final harvest We must reject both Western paternalism and African triumphalism. Instead we must embrace *divine orchestration*. *Canterbury will always be our mother.* *Abuja can now be our mission outpost for the nations.* As we close August and enter September, let us pray: _“Lord, let the Word of Christ dwell richly in Abuja. Let this be the start of the End-Time Revival through the Anglican Communion. Let Nigeria serve with humility, and let the whole world see Jesus.”_ The headquarters may be in Abuja. But the fire will reach the whole earth. *Amen. Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus.* _“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else... **The pain the world feels today announces what's coming tomorrow** Matthew 24:6-9 Jesus, speaking about the signs of the end times, told His disciples: *"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars... for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows"* (Matthew 24:6-8). Birth pains. This isn't meaningless suffering — it's suffering that announces something coming, that tightens before bringing forth life. Sin on earth has risen up before God. Scripture speaks of cities whose outcry of wickedness reached the Lord (Genesis 18:20-21) — and it's no different today. Witchcraft, murder, idolatry, greed, sexual immorality: the world has drifted so far from the Creator that it now lives as if He didn't exist, taking for itself the glory that belongs to God alone. And Scripture is clear: *"my glory will I not give to another"* (Isaiah 42:8). God shares worship with no one — not with idols, and not with man himself, who thinks he owns his own life. When God allows pain, war, calamity, it isn't because He delights in human suffering. It's because, often, pain is what makes a hardened heart stop and look up. *"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise... but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Even God's judgment carries a purpose of mercy: to bring back those who are lost. Matthew 24:9 continues the warning: *"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake."* The world will get worse, persecution will increase, but that's no reason for despair — it's confirmation that the Word is true and that the time is being fulfilled. And it's worth remembering: every deliverance is preceded by great catastrophes. Before Israel left Egypt, the plagues came. Before the resurrection, came the cross. Before the morning, comes the darkest night. The pain the world is going through today isn't the end of the story — it's the sign that a great revival is coming. God always raises up something new after the storm, and what looks like ruin to human eyes may, in fact, be the ground where God is preparing the greatest harvest of souls ever seen. What God asks for isn't sacrifice, isn't religion, isn't appearance. It's return. It's recognizing that He owns all honor, all power, dominion, and majesty — and that life only makes sense when lived under His lordship. The world groans, suffering birth pains. The question is: will you keep being deaf to that cry, or will you turn back to God while there's still time? *Remember that the Word of God is a statute.*

🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 242 DATE: 30TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS_1 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 4:3–4 (NKJV) “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe...” — Devotional message: One of the greatest strategies of the enemy is not only to create problems but to blind people to the solutions God has already placed within them.Paul tells us that “the god of this age has blinded” the minds of those who do not believe. Spiritual blindness can cause a person to see the problem but fail to recognize the grace, authority, wisdom, resources, and potential God has placed within them to become part of the solution. You see your family in trouble, and instead of asking God, “What can I do?”, you join everyone else in complaining.You see your child trapped in addiction, drunkenness, or a lifestyle that does not glorify God, and you simply say, “That is how they are.”You see problems in your community, workplace, nation, church, or family, and you join the multitude in lamenting about them. Child of God, you are not merely a spectator of the problems around you; you are called to be part of God's solution.Why should the sick be around you without you praying for them and trusting God for their healing? Why should someone oppressed by darkness be regarded as a hopeless case when Jesus has given His Church authority over the power of the enemy? Why should a child lack school fees while you have been entrusted with resources? Why should a servant of God go hungry while God has blessed you with the ability to provide? Why should someone struggle to pay rent while you have the capacity to help? This is not to suggest that every problem around us is solely our responsibility or that we can solve everything through human strength. Rather, God has strategically positioned His people in different places and entrusted them with different resources so that they can become channels of His grace. What you carry matters.Jesus said:“He who believes in Me... out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38 (NKJV).There is something God has deposited within you that is meant to flow beyond you. A river does not exist merely to water itself; it flows so that others may live. Therefore, do not become so consumed by the magnitude of the problem that you forget the greatness of the God who lives in you.The enemy wants you to look at the mountain and conclude, “It is too big.”God wants you to look at the mountain and ask, “Lord, what have You placed in me that can become part of the answer?” The Israelites cried because of their oppression in Egypt, and God raised Moses. When humanity was lost in sin, God sent His Son. Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly raised people whom He positioned as instruments of deliverance, provision, leadership, wisdom, and transformation. Complaining without action does not transform communities. But prayer, wisdom, obedience, generosity, creativity, courage, and action can become instruments through which God brings transformation.Remember: you are not the source; God is the Source. You are the vessel. The power, wisdom, grace, and resources ultimately come from Him. Daily devotion for August 29th The True Sabbath Rest In those days I saw men in Judah treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in grain and loading it on donkeys, together with wine, grapes, figs and all other kinds of loads. And they were bringing all this into Jerusalem on the Sabbath, Therefore I warned them against selling food on that day. Nehemiah 13:15 Nehemiah was concerned by this disregard for the Law. He is trying to correct the difficulties that had caused problems for Israel in the past. So he orders the gates to be closed at sunset on Friday. He requires the Levites to cleanse themselves and to guard the gates so that no one violates the Sabbath. Should we also keep the Sabbath by refraining from work and travel? As we have seen throughout this book, these regulations imposed upon Israel were what the New Testament calls shadows, pictures of something even more important that God wants observed. You observe the Sabbath when you fulfill what the Sabbath portrays. At the heart of the Sabbath is the word rest. The Sabbath is intended for people, that they may learn to rest. The Sabbath is God's stress management program! It is how to prevent burnout—how to recover from too much pressure and catch up with yourself. It is how to gather yourself together and become able to handle the work you must do. There are two reasons given in the Scripture for the Sabbath. The first one is found in Exodus 20:11. There we are told that because God finished creation in six days and then rested on the seventh day, He asked His people to rest after six days of labor. Why did God rest? He accomplished His objective. People too must recognize a limit to their work. There is a need to stop, to allow the body, mind, and spirit to recognize their limitations. The second reason the Sabbath was given is often ignored. God said to Israel, Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day (Deuteronomy 5:15). They were to rest in order to reflect on God's ability to work beyond the labors they had already completed. So there are two aspects of the Sabbath—creation and redemption. There is a rest of cessation; a ceasing from our own works. But then there is the rest of rejoicing in the mighty delivering power of God. Father, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of my life, teach me that I need to enter into the rest of creation and redemption, always remembering that Your work comes before my work.

🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 241 DATE: 29TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: GOD OF SIGNS AND WONDERS ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 4:1 (NKJV) “Then Moses answered and said, ‘But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, “The LORD has not appeared to you.”’ Devotional message: When God called Moses to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, Moses was concerned that the Israelites might not believe that God had appeared to him or that He had truly sent him. God therefore gave Moses signs that would authenticate the message and demonstrate His power. The rod in Moses' hand became an instrument through which God demonstrated His supernatural power. God was showing Moses that the assignment would not be accomplished by human ability alone, but by His power working through a yielded vessel. When Moses and Aaron eventually went before the Israelites, Scripture records:“So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.”Ex 4:31 (NKJV) We see the same principle throughout the ministry of the early Church. The apostles did not depend solely on human eloquence or persuasive speech. They preached Christ while demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit. This does not diminish the importance of preaching and teaching the Word of God. We must study Scripture, understand it accurately, and communicate the Gospel faithfully. However, we should also desire the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. The Gospel is not merely a message that should be heard; it is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). God can confirm His Word through supernatural manifestations according to His will. Yet we must understand the purpose of signs and wonders. They are not given for entertainment, personal fame, self-exaltation, or the glorification of the vessel God uses. Jesus must remain the centre.Signs and wonders should point people to Christ, confirm the proclamation of the Gospel, demonstrate God's compassion and power, and cause people to recognize that Jesus is Lord. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the God of signs and wonders.May my life become an instrument through which many encounter Your power, receive salvation, and turn to Christ.
