• SERMON: HOW TO KNOW, RESIST AND DESTROY EVIL ALTARS
Text: Judges 6:25-26 — "Tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and build an altar to the LORD."
Text 2: Acts 20:28 — "The church of God, which He obtained with His own blood."
Key: Revelation 14:1-5 — As one of 144,000 sealed with Name of Jesus the Lamb on foreheads, blameless, firstfruits, alive with Lamb on Mt. Zion.

    INTRODUCTION:

Church, an altar is a gate of transaction. Genesis 8:20 Noah built altar, God responded. Genesis 12:7 Abraham built altar where he settled, that land became protected.

Evil altar is a demonic gate where Satan transacts against people, community, ministry. 1 Corinthians 10:20 — what they sacrifice they sacrifice to demons.

God protects His people UNTIL they are sealed Rev 7:3. When sealed, they receive MORE divine shield — death is sent to unsealed, but sealed are safe from death Rev 9:4. We are that sealed people — looked after much more by God's love, devil cannot kill us, alive with Lamb on Mt. Zion, where we settle sea, trees, earth not allowed to be harmed until we are sealed.

But many last age believers don't understand evil altars. but the 144000 will understand them, RESIST them, DESTROY them.

PART 1: 6 EXAMPLES OF EVIL ALTARS — SO YOU CAN SEE THEM

    1. FAMILY / ANCESTRAL ALTAR
Example: Judges 6:25 — "The altar of Baal that your father has." Gideon's own father had idol altar controlling family.
Example: Numbers 23:1-3 — Balak told Balaam "Build me seven altars" to curse Israel.
Signs: Hearing voices when no one present — "You will not marry, you will die like your father." Dreaming dead relatives calling you Deuteronomy 18:11 God forbids consulting dead. Near-success syndrome, backwardness Judges 6:3-4 Midianites destroyed harvest each time Israel planted. Constant misfortune in family.
Intention: To keep you in cycle of fathers Exodus 20:5 — steal destiny.

    2. LAND / TERRITORIAL ALTAR
Example: 1 Kings 18:19 — 450 prophets of Baal on high place controlling rain and territory. Daniel 10:13 — Prince of Persia — territorial spirit over land.
Signs: Where you settle, business fails, ministry fights, same spot accidents, same sea storm like Bukasa. Mark 5:2 — man dwelling among tombs — territorial altar. Dreaming being pursued, dogs chasing.
Intention: To claim ownership of where you settle Rev 7:3 says where sealed settle, earth, sea, trees cannot be harmed — but territorial altar tries to harm.

    3. MARINE / WATER ALTAR — SNAKES, PRESSING
Example: 1 Samuel 5:2 — Dagon, god from sea, fell before Ark. Genesis 3:1 — serpent was marine.
Signs: Dreaming snakes, water, swimming, mermaid, sex in dream, being pressed / choked in sleep, hearing voices near water or in night. Acts 8:7 — unclean spirits crying loud.
Intention: To steal purity. Revelation 14:4 says 144,000 are undefiled virgins — not defiled — marine altar attacks purity.

    4. WITCHCRAFT / OCCULT ALTAR
Example: Jeremiah 7:31 — Altar of Topheth where they passed children through fire. 2 Kings 23:10.
Signs: Sickness defying medicine, objects moving, money disappearing, constant failure despite prayer. 1 Samuel 16:14 — Evil spirit tormented Saul.
Intention: To kill John 10:10 — premature death, barrenness.

    5. DREAM POLLUTION ALTAR
Example: Job 33:14-15 — God speaks in dream — Satan also pollutes dream.
Signs: Eating in dream, sex in dream, seeing dead folks, snakes, dirty water, dogs. Matthew 13:25 — enemy sowed while men slept.
Intention: To destroy through night transactions while you are unaware.

    6. MINISTRY OWNERSHIP ALTAR — "THIS CHURCH IS MINE" IMPLANT — ATTACKING MAJORITY PASTORS
This is the altar that has bound many pastors in Kampala.

Example: Diotrephes in 3 John 1:9 — "Who loves to have preeminence among them." Example: Ezekiel 28:2 — Prince of Tyre said "I am a god, I sit in seat of gods."

    But Bible says:
Acts 20:28 — The church of God which He obtained with His own blood.
Matthew 16:18 — I will build MY church — Not your church. MY church — Jesus speaking.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 — You are not your own, bought with price.
Revelation 5:9 — By Your blood You ransomed people for God.

    How this altar works:
A pastor enters church building at night and hears implant voice: "Leave, this church is mine, you will not build here." That is territorial altar that was there before church Acts 19:13-16 — demon said "Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you?"

Or a family that gave land says "This church is on my land, so it is mine" — family altar speaking.

Or pastor himself starts saying "MY church, MY members, MY ministry" — pride opens door to ownership altar, then God resists him James 4:6.

    Signs in ministry:
Hearing voice in church: "This is my church"
Fights over who owns church, constitution, money
Church cannot grow beyond number — altar set limit
Every new pastor chased away — founder spirit
Members say "We are tired of this pastor, this is our fathers church"

Intention: To steal what blood bought, to make Christ's church become man's property or demon's shrine. To destroy calling and make pastor blamable.

PART 2: HOW WE RESIST THEM — AS 144,000 BLAMELESS FIRSTFRUITS

    1. KNOW YOU ARE SEALED BLAMELESS — NO LEGAL GROUND
Revelation 14:4-5 — Not defiled, no lie in mouth, blameless. Psalm 24:3-4 — Clean hands, pure heart ascends.
2 Corinthians 6:17 — Come out from among them. Stop fornication 1 Cor 6:15, stop consulting shrines Deut 18:10.
Evil altar has no power on blameless life John 14:30 — Satan has nothing in Me — Jesus said.

    2. KNOW YOU HAVE HIGHER ALTAR — BLOOD OF JESUS THE LAMB
Hebrews 12:24 — Blood of Jesus speaks better than blood of Abel and better than blood on evil altar.
Colossians 2:14-15 — He cancelled record, disarmed rulers. Altar vs Altar — higher swallows lower Exodus 7:12.

    3. KNOW CHURCH BELONGS TO JESUS, NOT TO YOU, NOT TO ALTAR
When implant says "This church is mine" — Answer: Matthew 16:18 — It is written — I will build MY church — You are liar! Acts 20:28 — This church is bought by blood of Jesus! I am only bondservant Revelation 7:3, not owner!

PART 3: HOW WE DESTROY THEM — 4 WEAPONS OF SEALED 144,000

All done at MIDNIGHT 12AM - 3AM Acts 16:25, with anointing oil on foreheads Rev 7:3, for 3 & 7 nights with fasting Matthew 17:21, and Holy Communion 1 Corinthians 10:18.

WEAPON 1: BLOOD OF JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD
Revelation 12:11 — Overcame by blood of Lamb and word of testimony.
Exodus 12:13 — When I see blood I will pass over.
Speak blood over church building, land, family, sleep.

WEAPON 2: MIDNIGHT PRAYER WITH ANOINTING OIL ON FOREHEADS
Acts 16:25-26 — At midnight Paul and Silas prayed and prison shook.
Anoint foreheads — seal Revelation 7:3. Anoint doors of church, pulpit, land. Declare: This is sealed property of Jesus!

    WEAPON 3: FASTING 3 & 7 NIGHTS
Matthew 17:21 — This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
Esther 4:16 — 3 nights to break death decree. 7 nights for total destruction. Fasting makes you more blameless — lifestyle of 144,000.

WEAPON 4: HOLY COMMUNION — RAISING ALTAR OF GOD
1 Corinthians 10:18 — Those who eat sacrifices participate in altar.
When you eat communion, you raise Altar of God inside you — your body is temple 1 Cor 6:19. Evil altar must bow. 1 Cor 10:21 — You cannot drink cup of Lord and cup of demons.

  • EVERYONE SAW A DONKEY...

GOD SAW A PROPHET WHO COULDN'T.

    His name was Balaam.

    He was a prophet.

    He could hear God's voice.

    Or so everyone thought.

A king named Balak offered Balaam great wealth to curse Israel.

God warned Balaam not to go.

Later, God permitted him to go under certain conditions, but Balaam's heart was still set on the reward.

As Balaam rode toward Moab, the Angel of the Lord stood in the road with a drawn sword.

    Balaam didn't see Him.

    But his donkey did.

Three times the donkey turned aside to save Balaam's life.

Three times Balaam beat the animal.

Then God did something no one expected.

    He opened the donkey's mouth.

    The animal spoke.

Only after that did God open Balaam's eyes.

    And suddenly...

The prophet saw what the donkey had seen all along.

    Here's the deeper revelation.

    The greatest blindness isn't physical.

    It's spiritual.

Balaam had the title of a prophet...

But he couldn't see what God was doing because his heart had been captured by something else.

God used the most unlikely messenger to stop him.

Not because the donkey was extraordinary...

But because God can use anything to reach a heart that's willing to listen.

Sometimes we're asking God to speak louder...

While ignoring what He's already using to get our attention.

    LESSON

Don't become so focused on your destination that you miss God's warnings along the way.

A humble heart sees what pride cannot.

    SCRIPTURE ENCOURAGEMENT

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

    — Proverbs 3:5–6

If you remember one thing, let it be this...

WHEN GOD TRIES TO STOP YOU...

IT MAY BE BECAUSE HE'S TRYING TO SAVE YOU.

  • Micah 6:1-8
Hear now what the LORD says: "Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice. [2] Hear, O you mountains, the LORD's complaint, And you strong foundations of the earth; For the LORD has a complaint against His people, And He will contend with Israel. [3] "O My people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me. [4] For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of bondage; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. [5] O My people, remember now What Balak king of Moab counseled, And what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, From Acacia Grove to Gilgal, That you may know the righteousness of the LORD." [6] With what shall I come before the LORD, And bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old? [7] Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, Ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? [8] He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

    Psalm 25:4-5 NKJV
Psalm 25:4-5 Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your Paths.
Lead me in Your truth sand teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
Exodus 33:12-14 Then Moses said to the LORD, "See, You say to me, 'Bring up this people.' But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.'
"Now therefore, I pray, If I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people."
And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Joshua 21:43-45 So the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it.
The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
Number 23:17-24 So he came to him, and there he was, standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab were with him. And Balak said to him, "What has the LORD spoken?"
Then he took up his oracle and said, "Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, son of Zippor!
"God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
"He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him, And the shout of a King is among them.
GOD brings them out to Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox.
"For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel, 'Oh, what God has done!'
Look, a people rises like a lioness, And lifts itself up like a lion; It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, And drinks the blood of the slain."
Isaiah 63:7-10 I will mention the lovingkindness of the LORD And the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindness.
For He said, "Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie."
In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.
But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.
Hosea 1:8-11 Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son.
Then God said; "Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are not My people, And I will not be your God.
"Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There it shall be said to them, 'You are sons of the living God.'
Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel Shall be gathered together, And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!
Hosea 2:21-23 "It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer," says the LORD; "I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.
The earth shall answer With grain, With new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel.
Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' And they shall say, 'You are my God!'"

And Balak said to him, "What has the LORD spoken?" Then he took up his oracle and said, "Rise up, Balak, and hear! It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel, 'Oh, what God has done!' Look, a people rises like a lioness, And lifts itself up like a lion; It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, And drinks the blood of the slain." Isaiah 63:7-10 I will mention the lovingkindness of the LORD And the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindness. For He said, "Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie." In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There it shall be said to them, 'You are sons of the living God.' Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel Shall be gathered together, And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!

  • DOES THE BIBLE SAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS ISRAEL?
Tucker Carlson has made something of a hobby out of mocking the idea that God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who curse her. When Senator Ted Cruz could not cite the verse on the spot, Carlson declared victory in what became a viral moment for him. But winning a theological debate on a technicality against a non-theologian is not the same as being right. Let us look at what the Bible actually teaches — and then let the history books add their own testimony.

    THE FOUNDATIONAL PROMISE
The foundational passage is Genesis 12:1–3. God speaks to Abraham and declares,

"I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Tucker’s counter-argument is essentially: fine, that was a promise to Abraham personally, and Abraham is dead, so case closed, or maybe, that was a promise to the future church! But this reading does violence to the entire arc of Scripture.

    A DYNASTY PROMISE, NOT A ONE-MAN DEAL
Any serious Old Testament scholar understands that the Abrahamic covenant was not a one-man arrangement — it was a dynasty promise. The covenant God made with Abraham and later reaffirmed with Isaac and Jacob is of transcendent significance, containing promises that were explicitly everlasting — even through “a thousand generations” (Psalm 105:8–11). The Lord reaffirmed through oath His commitment to bless Abraham and his seed — understood as the corporate physical progeny (meaning his actual physical descendants) — and the covenant came through Isaac and Jacob as well.[1]

The Scripture makes this extension of the covenant unmistakable. When God appears to Isaac in Genesis 26:3–4, He says:

"Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father. I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed."

The same covenant. The same nations. Now addressed to the next physical generation.

Then God reaffirms it again to Jacob at Bethel in Genesis 28:13–14:

"I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed."

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob — three generations, one unbroken covenant.

    Psalm 105:8–11 seals the case:

“He REMEMBERS his covenant FOVEVER, the word that he commanded, for A THOUSAND GENERATIONS, the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an EVERLESTING COVENANT, saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.’”

This is not a personal promise to one man. It is a covenant made to Abraham, renewed to Isaac, confirmed to Jacob, and declared everlasting to the nation of Israel.

BALAAM AND THE BLESSING OF THE NATIONS
Most strikingly, in Numbers 24, a pagan diviner named Balaam is hired by the Moabite king Balak specifically to curse Israel. But what came out of Balaam’s mouth instead of a curse was this: “Blessed are those who bless you, and cursed are those who curse you”— spoken over the twelve physical tribes of Jacob wandering in the wilderness.[2]

Commentators note that Balaam’s blessing formula deliberately echoes the original words of Genesis 12:3 and Isaac’s blessing of Jacob — confirming the assurance of divine favor to the righteous and their seed forever.[3] By Numbers 24, Abraham has been dead for centuries. But the blessing-and-cursing principle is applied without hesitation to the living nation of his descendants. Tucker's argument — that the modern nation of Israel (which DNA proves are the descendants of the Israelites) has no connection to the biblical promises — cannot survive contact with the text.

NOTE: I do not believe that the modern nation of Israel is guiltless or should not be held accountable like any other nation. Wherever there is injustice, it should be called out. But that also means in Russia, which attacked Ukraine without cause, any Iran, where 50,000 citizens have been murdered for protesting. It seems that people like Tucker are fixated on Israel's sins while making excuses for the Islamic world. What the Bible teaches is that believers should contend for Israel's salvation in order to provoke her to jealousy (Romans 11:11). That doesn't mean unquestioned support and no accountability.

    THE CHURCH IN GENESIS 12
Before we turn to history, a reasonable question must be answered: what about the Church? If the Abrahamic covenant extends to Israel as a nation, where do Gentile believers fit in? The answer is not complicated — it is actually hiding in plain sight in Genesis 12 itself.

God makes two distinct promises to Abraham in those opening verses. First, He says He will make Abraham into a great nation — that is, Israel, the physical descendants through Isaac and Jacob. But then God says something broader: "in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Those are two different things. One is a nation. The other is the multitude of nations. The promise is not either/or — it is both/and. Israel is the vehicle through which the universal blessing travels. This is why God changes Abram’s name to Abraham in Genesis 17 to indicate that he will be the father of a multitude of nations.

And we know exactly what that blessing is. Paul makes it explicit in Galatians 3:8, where he quotes Genesis 12:3 and says that God was preaching the gospel in advance to Abraham — that through his seed, meaning, ultimately, the Messiah Jesus, all nations would be blessed with salvation. So the Church is not in competition with Israel in Genesis 12. The Church is the fulfillment of the second half of the promise. Gentiles who believe in Jesus are the "all the families of the earth" God was already talking about when He first spoke to Abraham. That does not cancel the covenant with the nation of Israel — it completes the picture.

    NOW, LET THE HISTORY SPEAK
In 1917, the British government issued the Balfour Declaration, expressing its support for the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine — an act many believe represented divine favor at work, and which historians describe as among the last great acts of the British Empire.[4] Britain was then the world’s dominant superpower, controlling roughly a quarter of the earth’s landmass. It was said that “the sun never sets on the British Empire” because it had lands all over the globe. For several decades, under leaders with strong evangelical sensibilities, Britain had championed Jewish restoration to their ancient homeland.

    Then Britain turned.

In May 1939, the British government issued the White Paper, heavily favoring Arab demands: it limited Jewish immigration to 75,000 over five years, ended Jewish land purchases, and effectively declared that Britain had fulfilled its obligations to the Jewish people — closing the Holy Land’s doors even as Jews were fleeing Nazi persecution across Europe.[5] It was a breathtaking betrayal, and it came precisely when the Jewish people needed refuge most.

The timeline of what followed is striking. In 1940, the British Empire still contained a quarter of the world’s population and a fifth of its landmass. Yet within the following two decades, more than twenty British territories gained independence, and by 1980, only a handful remained under British control.[6] The sun, so to speak, began setting on the empire almost immediately after Britain slammed the door on the Jewish people.

Meanwhile, the United States stepped into the void. America had long been shaped by a deep biblical heritage and a Puritan identification with Israel’s story. America championed the founding of the modern State of Israel in 1948 — Harry Truman, himself a student of Scripture, recognized Israel eleven minutes after independence was declared at 9 AM EST on May 14. In the decades that followed, the United States became the undisputed dominant world power in every category: economic, military, cultural, and technological. For nearly a century now, no nation on earth has come close.

    ANECDOTE OR EVIDENCE?
The cynic will note that empires rise and fall for many reasons — wars, economics, nationalism. That is true, and no honest theologian claims the blessing-and-cursing principle operates as a simple vending machine. But the trajectory is undeniable. The nation that championed Jewish restoration rose to global preeminence. The nation that betrayed the Jewish people and locked them out of their homeland as the Holocaust unfolded lost its empire within a generation.

That is not merely anecdote. That is a pattern consistent with what the Scripture promises — a promise that did not die with Abraham, but was passed to his seed, renewed through Isaac and Jacob, reaffirmed through a pagan prophet named Balaam, and written across the history of nations ever since.

Tucker Carlson is free to dismiss that pattern. But dismissing it does not make it disappear.

DOES THE BIBLE SAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS ISRAEL? We have all been disappointed by words that sounded certain. A promise was made, hope was built, expectations rose—and then everything collapsed. Relationships fail, plans unravel, and even our own commitments can crumble overnight. The question is not whether promises exist, but whether there is any promise strong enough to hold us when everything else gives way.

🕮 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝟐𝟑:𝟏𝟗 declares, “𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘦; 𝘯𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵...” These words were spoken through Balaam when Balak sought to curse Israel. Despite man's schemes, God affirmed that what He had spoken could not be reversed. His promises are rooted in His perfect character, not changing circumstances.

God’s promises are like an anchor deep beneath the ocean floor. Storms rage and waves crash, but the anchor stays firm. Likewise, God’s Word stands steady beneath changing emotions, fears, and circumstances. What God declares is never shaken by the storms.

The Bible declares that God cannot lie (𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝟏:𝟐), for it is impossible for Him to do so (𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟔:𝟏𝟖). His Word stands forever (Isaiah 40:8), settled in heaven (𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟏𝟏𝟗:𝟖𝟗), and when He speaks, creation obeys (𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟑𝟑:𝟗). What God promised Abraham, He performed. What He promised Israel, He fulfilled. What He promises His people today are just as certain.

We often trust temporal things while doubting the eternal Word of God. Yet heaven and earth shall pass away before God's words fail (𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟐𝟒:𝟑𝟓). A broken bridge cannot carry a traveler home, but God's promises never collapse under the weight of those who trust them. The strength of our hope rests not in our grip on God, but in His grip on His Word.

Christ Himself is the fulfillment of every promise: “𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘯” (𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟎). The Word made flesh (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟏𝟒) guarantees that what God has spoken will never be broken. The same Saviour who died and rose again is the living proof that His promises stand.

So, are you building your life on God's promises, or merely admiring them from a distance? What promise of God have you quietly stopped believing? You don't need God's promises merely for comfort in a crisis—you need them as the foundation beneath every step you take. If God's Word cannot fail, what excuse remains for our unbelief?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, we confess that we have trusted the words of men more than Yours. Forgive us. Teach us to build our lives on the certainty of Your Word — not on feelings, not on circumstances, but on every promise You have spoken. You cannot lie, and we are grateful. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!

    DIVINE OBSTACLES 1

    A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Then Balaam confessed to the angel of the LORD, 'I have sinned. I didn’t realize you were standing in the road to block my way. I will return home if you are against my going.'" Numbers 22:34 NLT.

Divine obstacles are kind of self explanatory, they are among others, the hindrances and obstructions God in His infinite wisdom allows to come on your way when you are going contrary to His will for you or the obstacles He puts before you to protect and shield you from dangers and harm's way.

In the context of our anchor Scripture (Numbers 22:21-40), we read how Balaam encountered different kinds of 'divine obstacles' to keep him in line with divine priority, which was not to hire himself out to King Balak and put a curse on the children of Israel. The 'divine obstacles' Balaam came across actually were not only meant to be hindrances to the seer, but among other things to serve greater purposes within the ambits of divine guidance and will.
They were opportunities for introspection, correction and to enable Balaam align to the will and plan of God for himself and God's  people, Israel.

Balaam prepared himself well with his donkey and servants to embark on a fruitless endeavour, and God blocked his way to help us with the understanding that obstacles can also come from God (in His Omniscience) to deter the enemy of our souls and his minions from harming us, help us overcome dishonest gains, etc.

Have you taken time off to introspect and reexamine that project you're finding too difficult to execute, that business, work and trade which has taken you longer than necessary time to execute and see if it's not experiencing 'divine obstacle?'
God, our Father still gives a second chance to those He wants to show mercy if only that person will genuinely repent and turn a new leaf but not like Balaam who prostrated before God in repentance that is not genuine.

May your fight for faith never be a vanity.

    PRAYER BULLETS:

Holy Spirit, please open my eyes and mind to the message of God to me today on what I am considering to do.

THE PILGRIMS GUIDE MONDAY JUNE 1, 2026 DIVINE OBSTACLES 1 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Then Balaam confessed to the angel of the LORD, 'I have sinned. Have you taken time off to introspect and reexamine that project you're finding too difficult to execute, that business, work and trade which has taken you longer than necessary time to execute and see if it's not experiencing 'divine obstacle?' God, our Father still gives a second chance to those He wants to show mercy if only that person will genuinely repent and turn a new leaf but not like Balaam who prostrated before God in repentance that is not genuine. May your fight for faith never be a vanity. PRAYER BULLETS: Holy Spirit, please open my eyes and mind to the message of God to me today on what I am considering to do. FURTHER READING: Numbers 22:21-40; Proverbs 16:9; Jeremiah 10:23; Acts 5:39; Isaiah 55:8-9. _________________________________________ ©️ Amaobi Nwachukwu 2026. DATE: FRIDAY 22ND MAY 2026

    TOPIC: SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED, PART 1

    MEMORIZE:
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: NUMBERS 22:22-23
22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

23 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.

    MESSAGE:
Today's memory verse tells us that the natural man cannot understand the things of God because they are spiritually discerned. This means that such a fellow cannot follow God's direction, as he or she cannot understand spiritual things and will even consider them foolish. Those who walk in the spirit, however, know how to discern spiritual things.

For instance, when it seems that several people are trying to get a Christian angry, it could be that the devil is seeking to open a window through which he can attack him or her. If the believer cannot spiritually discern the devil's plan, he or she might eventually give in to anger, thereby giving the devil access to carry out his attack. Likewise, if a Christian keeps encountering people in need, especially if they are fellow Christians, it could be that God wants the believer to help them so that He can open windows of blessings over his or her life. However, if the Christian cannot spiritually discern what is happening and ignores the people in need, he or she would miss out on God's blessing. Spiritual discernment is crucial in the journey of every Christian.

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. - (Proverbs 22:3)

In today's Bible reading, Balaam's donkey began to behave strangely when he was on his way to meet Balak despite God's initial instruction forbidding him from going (Numbers 22:12). Balaam was so spiritually insensitive that he didn't know the actions of the donkey were for his own good. When his donkey didn't move as he wanted it to and kept turning away from the path it was supposed to take, he hit it in an attempt to force it to obey him. Even when the donkey spoke, which was very strange, Balaam was too spiritually insensitive to sense the danger ahead until God opened his eyes. I pray that your spiritual senses will be sharpened enough to see any dangers that are ahead of you, and you will be prudent enough to hide yourself, in Jesus' name.

The lack of spiritual discernment has destroyed so many homes and ended so many lives prematurely. This is why spiritual discernment is a must-have for you in your walk with God, relationship with others, and dealings with the world. I pray that the Almighty God, in His mercy, will sharpen your discernment and help you see things as they really are, in Jesus' name.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to discern spiritual matters and see things as they truly are.

  • Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Hear now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie." - Jeremiah 28:15

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying: Send to all those in captivity, saying, Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I have not sent him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie—therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his family: he shall not have anyone to dwell among this people, nor shall he see the good that I will do for My people, says the Lord, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord. - Jeremiah 29:30-32

And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.” - Jeremiah 14:14

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in My counsel,
And had caused My people to hear My words,
Then they would have turned them from their evil way
And from the evil of their doings. - Jeremiah 23:21-22

And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying:

‘By those who come near Me
    I must be regarded as holy;
    And before all the people
    I must be glorified.’ ”

So Aaron held his peace. - Leviticus 10:3

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. - Galatians 1:6-8

Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. - Leviticus 10:1

Then Moses was very angry, and said to the Lord, “Do not respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I hurt one of them.”

And Moses said to Korah, “Tomorrow, you and all your company be present before the Lord—you and they, as well as Aaron. Let each take his censer and put incense in it, and each of you bring his censer before the Lord, two hundred and fifty censers; both you and Aaron, each with his censer.” So every man took his censer, put fire in it, laid incense on it, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of meeting with Moses and Aaron. And Korah gathered all the congregation against them at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” - Numbers 16:15-21

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’? Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord. - Jeremiah 7:9-11

So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” - Mark 11:15-17

So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the diviner’s fee in their hand, and they came to Balaam and spoke to him the words of Balak. And he said to them, “Lodge here tonight, and I will bring back word to you, as the Lord speaks to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam. - Numbers 22:7-8

And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. - Acts 8:18-21

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. - Luke 5:37-38
Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Hear now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie." - Jeremiah 28:15 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying: Send to all those in captivity, saying, Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I have not sent him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie—therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his family: he shall not have anyone to dwell among this people, nor shall he see the good that I will do for My people, says the Lord, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord. - Jeremiah 29:30-32 And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name.
