We choose to praise God not only when everything is perfect, but because He remains God in every season. As you begin September, don't begin with fear about what the month may bring. Begin with praise for the God who already knows what lies ahead. Praise Him for His protection. Praise Him for His mercy. Praise Him for His provision. Praise Him for answered prayers. Praise Him for prayers still awaiting answers. Praise Him for the victories you can see and the battles He is fighting behind the scenes. Your mouth has power to shape the atmosphere of your day. The Kitchen Newsletter Good day, Welcome to The Kitchen, where we explore, prepare and serve the contents in the Body of the Word as the delicacies of God—to create the form of the Father on the earth, to make the earth in His likeness, and to take charge of the economic destinies of nations for God. Relax, and let's journey through the scriptures to see the Body of the Word. The Word Is More Than Written Letters John's experience on the island of Patmos gives us a remarkable starting point. He turned to see the voice speaking to him, and what he saw was not merely a written sentence or an abstract idea. He saw Jesus Christ—the living Word of God—in the appearance of a man, with a body. John describes His head and hair, His eyes, His feet, His voice, His right hand, His mouth and His face. “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.” Revelation 1:12–17 This is important. The Word of God is not merely letters printed on pages. The Word is a living Person. And the Body of this living Word is the image of the invisible God. Hebrews tells us: “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.” Hebrews 1:3 Paul similarly describes Christ as: “the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 So when we look at the Body of the Word, we are looking at the revelation of the invisible God. The invisible God cannot be seen with ordinary physical eyes. But He has made Himself known through the Body of the Word. That is why Paul says that God has caused light to shine in our hearts: “to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 The face represents the person. The body gives us the detailed descriptions through which the Person of the Word is revealed. God Is Speaking From the Body of the Word There is another dimension here that I find particularly striking. Jesus does not merely want His Church to know about Him. He wants His Church to know Him. After John saw these things, Jesus said: “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.” Revelation 1:19 And Isaiah declares: “The hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants.” Isaiah 66:14 The Scriptures testify about the Person of the Word. Jesus Himself said: “These are the very Scriptures that testify about me.” John 5:39 Therefore, when Scripture gives us a description of the head, hair, eyes, face, hands, feet or mouth of the Word, we should not dismiss those descriptions as insignificant details. They are invitations to look deeper. The details of the Body of the Word become doors into the knowledge of God. This is why the Holy Spirit is so important. Jesus said concerning the Spirit of Truth: “.....He will take from what is mine and make known to you.” John 16:13–15 And Revelation repeatedly gives us this instruction: “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 2:7 The Spirit takes from Christ and makes Christ known. So the revelation of Scripture concerning the Body of the Word is not merely information. It is what the Spirit is saying to the churches. THE BODY OF THE WORD IS WHITE LIKE WOOL AND SNOW Now let us look at one particular description. John says: “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow.” Revelation 1:14 Notice that John is describing the head and hair, but the revelation does not have to stop at the head and hair. The description points us toward the description of the whole Person. Daniel saw something remarkably similar: “His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool.” Daniel 7:9 Then the Song of Solomon gives us another description: “His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as the cedars.” Song of Solomon 5:15 Lebanon was known for its majestic mountain ranges and snow. The Scriptures are therefore giving us a consistent picture: whiteness, wool, snow, purity. Isaiah makes the meaning of this imagery particularly clear: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18 White like snow. White like wool. The picture is purity. Cleanliness. Freedom from stain. No defect. No blemish. No corruption. So when we see the Body of the Word described as white like wool and white as snow, we are being brought into a revelation of the purity and holiness of God. The Body of the Word Is the Standard of Purity This has a very practical implication. How do we understand God's standard of purity? We look at the Body of the Word. How do we understand God's holiness? We look at the Body of the Word. How do we understand what it means for something to be clean before God? We look at the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word gives us the picture. The standard is not created by culture. It is not determined by popular opinion. It is not defined by whatever happens to be socially acceptable at the moment. The standard is the Body of the Word. This is why the revelation of the Body of the Word is not merely an interesting theological subject. It confronts the way we think, the way we live, the way we build, the way we govern and even the way we define what is acceptable. If Christ is the image of the invisible God, then our understanding of God must ultimately be brought into alignment with the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the purity of God. The Body of the Word is the holiness of God. And pursuing the revelation of the Body of the Word is therefore a pursuit of the holiness of God. The Psalmist says: “Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 96:9 But There Is Something Even More Provocative The same Body that is pure is also food. Jesus said: “I am the bread of life.” John 6:35 And again: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven......and this bread is my flesh” John 6:51 Then He makes the statement even more direct: “For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” John 6:55 This gives us an extraordinary picture. The Body of the Word is not merely something God wants us to observe. It is food. And if the Body of the Word is white like wool and white as snow, then we can describe it as clean food. The delicacies of God are found in the revelation knowledge of the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the food. The detailed descriptions of the Body are the delicacies. The Holy Spirit is the Teacher. And the delicacies of the Father bring us into a deeper knowledge of the Father. The Table of God There is an intriguing Old Testament picture here. God instructed Israel: “Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.” Exodus 25:30 Jesus identifies Himself as the Bread that came down from heaven. The connection is profound: God's table points us toward the Body of the Word as God's food. Even the language of the Song of Solomon gives us another picture: “And at our door is every delicacy, both new and old, that I have stored up for you.” Song of Solomon 7:13 There are dimensions of Christ that we have not yet adequately explored. There are descriptions that we have read without necessarily understanding. There are Scriptures we have quoted without asking what Person they are revealing. And this is where the unfolding of the Word becomes important. “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:130 The Body of the Word can be read. The Body of the Word can be unfolded. And when unfolded, light comes. Not merely intellectual information. Revelation. The knowledge of the Father. The Clean Food of God This also helps us understand the Old Testament distinction between clean and unclean food. Leviticus 11 records God's instructions concerning clean and unclean animals. The animals were not simply a collection of arbitrary dietary regulations. Within the larger biblical pattern, they also point toward deeper realities that find their fulfillment in Christ. The clean animals—including lambs, sheep, goats and bulls—were repeatedly associated with sacrifice and worship. The ultimate reality, however, is Christ - his Body. John the Baptist identifies Him as: “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 And Jesus declares: “My flesh is real food.” John 6:55 So the shadow points toward the substance. The symbol points toward the Person. The animal points toward the Lamb. The bread points toward the Bread of Life. The descriptions point toward the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the clean food of God. And the delicacies contained within that Body are the detailed revelations through which God makes Himself known. What Are We Eating? Perhaps this is the question we should leave with today. What are you feeding your understanding of God with? Opinions? Traditions? Culture? Personal assumptions? Or are you allowing the Scriptures to introduce you to the Person of the Word? Jesus said the Scriptures testify about Him (John 5:39). The Holy Spirit takes what belongs to Christ and makes it known (John 16:13–15). The unfolding of the Word gives light (Psalm 119:130). And Christ is the exact representation of the invisible God (Hebrews 1:3). Therefore, there is a profound invitation before us: Come and feed on the Body of the Word. Look. Read. Unfold. Ask the Holy Spirit to open the Body of the Word to you. Look at the Body of the Word. Look at the descriptions. Look at its purity. Look at its holiness. Look at its beauty. Look at its members. Look at the delicacies contained within it. And perhaps what we have called ordinary words are carrying revelations of the Person of Christ that we have not yet tasted. The Father wants to make Himself known. And He has given us the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the image of the invisible God. The Body of the Word is pure. The Body of the Word is holy. The Body of the Word is clean food. And the revelation of that Body is a delicacy prepared for those who are willing to come to the table. *ABUJA AND THE NEW ERA: AN ESCHATOLOGICAL VIEW OF THE GLOBAL ANGLICAN HEADQUARTERS* _By Postulant C. O. Oyadosu_ *INTRODUCTION: NOT JUST GEOGRAPHY, BUT PROPHECY* To the glory of God, the announcement on *29 August 2026 in Recife, Brazil*, that the headquarters of the *Global Anglican Communion* will be established in *Abuja, Nigeria*, is more than an administrative decision. It is a prophetic marker. While some individuals in their opinion rightly calls for wisdom, humility, and global representation, we must also read this moment through the lens of *Scripture, history, and eschatology*. God is not surprised by geography. He ordains seasons. What we are witnessing is not Africa “taking over” Anglicanism. It is the *return of Christianity to its ancient African roots* and the beginning of an *End-Time Revival that will be led from the Global South*. *1. CHRISTIANITY IN AFRICA PREDATES EUROPEAN MISSIONS* The argument that Anglicanism must remain tied to Canterbury because “that is where it began” overlooks a deeper biblical and historical truth: *Africa was Christian before Europe was*. 1. *Ethiopia*: The Ethiopian eunuch in *Acts 8:26-39* took the Gospel to Africa in the 1st century. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church traces its roots to the 4th century, with the _Garima Gospels_ and a canon of 81 books preserved for 1600 years. 2. *North Africa*: Alexandria, Carthage, and Hippo produced giants like Athanasius, Origen, Tertullian, and Augustine. The Nicene Creed was hammered out in North Africa. 3. *Christianity is not a Western export*. It is an Eastern and African faith that later flourished in Europe. Therefore, to locate the Global Anglican headquarters in *Abuja* is not innovation. It is *restoration*. It is God bringing the Communion back to a continent where the faith was planted by the Apostles themselves. As *Colossians 3:16* declares for this last Sunday of August: _“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”_ That Word first dwelt richly in African soil. *2. AN ESCHATOLOGICAL READING: THE SHIFT TO THE GLOBAL SOUTH* Jesus said in *Matthew 24:14*: _“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”_ Church historians like Philip Jenkins in _The Next Christendom_ have documented what the Spirit is doing: *The numerical and spiritual centre of Christianity has moved to Africa, Asia, and Latin America.* The decision to place the headquarters in *Abuja* fits this eschatological pattern: 1. *Numerical strength*: Over 60% of active Anglicans today are in Africa. Nigeria alone has more Anglicans than all of UK, US, Canada and Australia combined. 2. *Doctrinal clarity*: In a season where Western provinces are revising biblical teaching on marriage, life, and authority of Scripture, God is raising up a bastion of biblical orthodoxy in the South. 3. *Missionary sending*: For 500 years the West sent missionaries to Africa. In this season, Africa is sending missionaries back to Europe, America, and Asia. This is not nationalism. This is *fulfillment*. The last shall be first, and the first last. *Mark 10:31* *3. WHY ABUJA? WHY NOW? PROPHECY AND REVIVAL* Many prophetic voices across Africa for the last 30 years have spoken of an *“End-Time Revival that will start from Nigeria and spread to the nations.”* Nigeria’s Anglican Church has been at the forefront of: - Church planting movements - Prayer and fasting culture - Defense of Scripture under persecution - Youth and evangelistic fervour The *G26 gathering in Abuja, March 2026*, was not accidental. It was a divine alignment. Abuja, the centrally located capital of the most populous black nation, becomes a *new Upper Room* from where the Spirit will be poured out. Just as Jerusalem was the geographic center for the 1st century Church in *Acts 1:8*, *Abuja can be a 21st century center* for a global outpouring — not because Nigeria is superior, but because God chooses weak and unlikely places to shame the wise. *1 Corinthians 1:27* *4. ANSWERING THE CONCERNS: INFRASTRUCTURE, GLOBALITY, AND OWNERSHIP* Some highly respected Anglican Church fathers in God raised legitimate practical concerns. But eschatology teaches us that *God provides infrastructure for what He ordains*. 1. *On Infrastructure*: Joseph was sent to Egypt, Daniel to Babylon, and Paul to Rome. God never waits for perfect roads before He moves. As the headquarters grows, God will raise partners, technology, and diaspora Anglicans to build it. The early Church had no “international banking” either. 2. *On Global Representation*: Yes, leadership must reflect Africa + Asia + Europe + Americas + Pacific. But global representation does not require a Western postcode. With virtual platforms and international flights to Abuja increasing daily, *global access is a matter of will, not geography.* 3. *On “Looking African”*: The Gospel has always looked like the people who carry it. When it was in Rome it looked Roman. In Canterbury it looked English. In Antioch it looked Middle Eastern. *Let it now look African, and let the world come and see the glory of God in it.* The goal is not to erase culture, but to submit every culture to Christ. The headquarters in Abuja will not “own” the Communion. *Christ owns it.* But the location will be a sign that God is doing a new thing. *Isaiah 43:19* *5. ABUJA MUST BE MORE THAN AN OFFICE — IT MUST BE AN ALTAR* I agree fully with Venerable Dr Jesulola here. If Abuja is to host the headquarters, it must become: 1. *A Global Anglican Prayer Centre* - 24/7 worship like David’s tabernacle 2. *An International Theological Institute* - Raising the next generation of orthodox scholars 3. *A Missionary Training and Sending Base* - For Europe, Asia, and the Americas 4. *An Archives and Research Library* - To recover African, Ethiopian, and Global South contributions to Anglican theology This will silence critics and prove that this is not about pride, but about *mission*. *CONCLUSION: THE HEADQUARTERS MAY BE IN ABUJA, BUT THE VISION IS FOR THE WORLD AND FOR THE END* Beloved, we are not in a time for timidity. We are in a time for faith. The decision to place the Global Anglican Communion headquarters in Abuja is: 1. *Historical*: Returning to Africa’s ancient Christian roots in Ethiopia and North Africa 2. *Missional*: Placing leadership where the growth and sacrifice is greatest 3. *Eschatological*: A sign that God is shifting the centre of global Christianity for the final harvest We must reject both Western paternalism and African triumphalism. Instead we must embrace *divine orchestration*. *Canterbury will always be our mother.* *Abuja can now be our mission outpost for the nations.* As we close August and enter September, let us pray: _“Lord, let the Word of Christ dwell richly in Abuja. Let this be the start of the End-Time Revival through the Anglican Communion. Let Nigeria serve with humility, and let the whole world see Jesus.”_ The headquarters may be in Abuja. But the fire will reach the whole earth. *Amen. Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus.* _“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else... THE SPIRITUAL TRUTHS OF EACH BEATTITUDE… The Beatitudes, delivered by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12), are far more than a moral code or a list of pleasant virtues. They map out a radical spiritual inversion—a pathway where worldly weakness becomes divine strength and the values of the human ego are completely upended by the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." The Spiritual Truth: Spiritual Bankruptcy is the Gate to Grace. Insight: To be "poor in spirit" means recognizing your utter inability to save, justify, or sustain yourself spiritually on your own terms. It strips away self-sufficiency and spiritual pride. The paradox is that you can only inherit divine richness when you admit your spiritual destitution. 2. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." The Spiritual Truth: Holy Sorrow Prepares the Heart for Divine Joy. Insight: This mourning refers not just to general grief or bereavement, but to deep contrition over personal sin and the brokenness of the world. In a culture that desperately pursues endless distraction and superficial happiness, this truth teaches that facing the weight of human suffering and our own shortcomings creates an empty space that only divine comfort can fill. 3. "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." The Spiritual Truth: Surrendered Power is True Strength. Insight: Meekness (prautes) is often misunderstood as weakness or timidity, but in the ancient world, it described a wild stallion that had been broken and trained to respond to the slightest touch of its master's reins. It is power under control. The meek do not need to manipulate, dominate, or defend themselves because they trust God to vindicate them, ultimately inheriting the renewed creation. 4. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." The Spiritual Truth: Desire Determines Destiny. Insight: Most people hunger for comfort, approval, status, or security. This beatitude points to a relentless, visceral appetite—like a starving person craving food—for alignment with God's justice, character, and righteousness. Spiritual fullness is not given to the self-satisfied, but to those whose deepest craving is union with the divine good. 5. "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Extending forgiveness and empathy is the mirror that reflects our own participation in God's forgiving nature. 6. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." The Spiritual Truth: Internal Singleness of Purpose Leads to Divine Vision. Insight: Purity here does not mean flawless perfection; it means integrous and undivided. A pure heart is one whose motives are transparent, unclouded by hypocrisy, double-mindedness, or hidden agendas. When the lens of the heart is wiped clean of ego-driven distortions, God stops being a theological concept and becomes a lived reality you can perceive everywhere. 7. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." The Spiritual Truth: Active Reconciliation Mirrors the Family Likeness. Insight: Peacemaking is vastly different from mere "peacekeeping" (which often just sweeps conflict under the rug to keep things quiet). Peacemakers actively step into hostility, brokenness, and division to bridge gaps, absorbing conflict to restore harmony. By doing this, they act like their Father, bearing the unmistakable family resemblance. 8. "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." The Spiritual Truth: Friction is the Proof of Alignment. Insight: When a life completely aligns with transcendent truth and selfless love, it inevitably clashes with a world system built on self-preservation and compromise. This beatitude reframes suffering not as a sign of divine abandonment, but as the ultimate badge of honor—proof that your life is echoing a reality higher than this world. The Beatitudes are not just a random collection of virtues. They map out a profound, step-by-step psychological and spiritual trajectory—a ladder of inner transformation that takes a person from the initial awakening of the soul all the way to complete spiritual maturity and active divine participation in the world. Phase 1: Awakening and Deconstruction (The First Three) Before a soul can be built up, the false self must be dismantled. 1. Poor in Spirit (The Awakening of Humility): The journey begins with radical honesty. You realize your spiritual bankruptcy, letting go of the ego’s illusion that you have life figured out or can save yourself. 2. Those Who Mourn (The Awakening of Contrition): Once you see your true state, grief follows. You mourn your own shortcomings and the brokenness of the world, shedding superficial comforts for a deeper, honest sorrow. 3. The Meek (The Surrender of Control): Stripped of pride and softened by grief, the ego finally surrenders its need to manipulate, fight, and dominate. Power is handed over to God, resulting in true, grounded meekness. Phase 2: Reconstruction and Internal Alignment (The Middle Four) With the ego quieted, the cleared space begins to fill with divine character. 4. Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness (The Shift in Appetite): Empty of self, a profound new hunger emerges. Instead of craving status, security, or worldly validation, your deepest desires pivot entirely toward God's goodness and justice. 5. The Merciful (The Outpouring of Grace): As you experience inner healing and alignment, your posture toward others changes. You stop judging because you realize how desperately you needed mercy yourself, naturally extending that same grace outward. 6. Pure in Heart (The Clarification of Vision): With motives purified from hidden agendas, double-mindedness, and hypocrisy, the inner landscape becomes transparent. The lens of the soul is cleaned, allowing you to see God clearly in everyday reality. 7. The Peacemakers (The External Expression of Harmony): Inner purity cannot stay internal; it overflows. Because you are at peace within, you actively step into external chaos and conflict, bridging divides and acting as an agent of divine reconciliation. Phase 3: Integration and Transfiguration (The Final Beatitude) The culmination of the journey where the inner transformation meets the outer world. 8. Persecuted for Righteousness (The Crucible of Full Integration): When a soul is fully transformed—humble, merciful, pure, and actively bringing peace—it becomes a living contrast to a broken world. The resulting friction or pushback is not a sign of failure, but the ultimate proof that the inner transformation is complete and fully embodied.

The Kitchen Newsletter Good day, Welcome to The Kitchen, where we explore, prepare and serve the contents in the Body of the Word as the delicacies of God—to create the form of the Father on the earth, to make the earth in His likeness, and to take charge of the economic destinies of nations for God. Relax, and let's journey through the scriptures to see the Body of the Word. The Word Is More Than Written Letters John's experience on the island of Patmos gives us a remarkable starting point. He turned to see the voice speaking to him, and what he saw was not merely a written sentence or an abstract idea. He saw Jesus Christ—the living Word of God—in the appearance of a man, with a body. John describes His head and hair, His eyes, His feet, His voice, His right hand, His mouth and His face. “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.” Revelation 1:12–17 This is important. The Word of God is not merely letters printed on pages. The Word is a living Person. And the Body of this living Word is the image of the invisible God. Hebrews tells us: “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.” Hebrews 1:3 Paul similarly describes Christ as: “the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 So when we look at the Body of the Word, we are looking at the revelation of the invisible God. The invisible God cannot be seen with ordinary physical eyes. But He has made Himself known through the Body of the Word. That is why Paul says that God has caused light to shine in our hearts: “to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 The face represents the person. The body gives us the detailed descriptions through which the Person of the Word is revealed. God Is Speaking From the Body of the Word There is another dimension here that I find particularly striking. Jesus does not merely want His Church to know about Him. He wants His Church to know Him. After John saw these things, Jesus said: “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.” Revelation 1:19 And Isaiah declares: “The hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants.” Isaiah 66:14 The Scriptures testify about the Person of the Word. Jesus Himself said: “These are the very Scriptures that testify about me.” John 5:39 Therefore, when Scripture gives us a description of the head, hair, eyes, face, hands, feet or mouth of the Word, we should not dismiss those descriptions as insignificant details. They are invitations to look deeper. The details of the Body of the Word become doors into the knowledge of God. This is why the Holy Spirit is so important. Jesus said concerning the Spirit of Truth: “.....He will take from what is mine and make known to you.” John 16:13–15 And Revelation repeatedly gives us this instruction: “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 2:7 The Spirit takes from Christ and makes Christ known. So the revelation of Scripture concerning the Body of the Word is not merely information. It is what the Spirit is saying to the churches. THE BODY OF THE WORD IS WHITE LIKE WOOL AND SNOW Now let us look at one particular description. John says: “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow.” Revelation 1:14 Notice that John is describing the head and hair, but the revelation does not have to stop at the head and hair. The description points us toward the description of the whole Person. Daniel saw something remarkably similar: “His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool.” Daniel 7:9 Then the Song of Solomon gives us another description: “His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as the cedars.” Song of Solomon 5:15 Lebanon was known for its majestic mountain ranges and snow. The Scriptures are therefore giving us a consistent picture: whiteness, wool, snow, purity. Isaiah makes the meaning of this imagery particularly clear: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18 White like snow. White like wool. The picture is purity. Cleanliness. Freedom from stain. No defect. No blemish. No corruption. So when we see the Body of the Word described as white like wool and white as snow, we are being brought into a revelation of the purity and holiness of God. The Body of the Word Is the Standard of Purity This has a very practical implication. How do we understand God's standard of purity? We look at the Body of the Word. How do we understand God's holiness? We look at the Body of the Word. How do we understand what it means for something to be clean before God? We look at the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word gives us the picture. The standard is not created by culture. It is not determined by popular opinion. It is not defined by whatever happens to be socially acceptable at the moment. The standard is the Body of the Word. This is why the revelation of the Body of the Word is not merely an interesting theological subject. It confronts the way we think, the way we live, the way we build, the way we govern and even the way we define what is acceptable. If Christ is the image of the invisible God, then our understanding of God must ultimately be brought into alignment with the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the purity of God. The Body of the Word is the holiness of God. And pursuing the revelation of the Body of the Word is therefore a pursuit of the holiness of God. The Psalmist says: “Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 96:9 But There Is Something Even More Provocative The same Body that is pure is also food. Jesus said: “I am the bread of life.” John 6:35 And again: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven......and this bread is my flesh” John 6:51 Then He makes the statement even more direct: “For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” John 6:55 This gives us an extraordinary picture. The Body of the Word is not merely something God wants us to observe. It is food. And if the Body of the Word is white like wool and white as snow, then we can describe it as clean food. The delicacies of God are found in the revelation knowledge of the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the food. The detailed descriptions of the Body are the delicacies. The Holy Spirit is the Teacher. And the delicacies of the Father bring us into a deeper knowledge of the Father. The Table of God There is an intriguing Old Testament picture here. God instructed Israel: “Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.” Exodus 25:30 Jesus identifies Himself as the Bread that came down from heaven. The connection is profound: God's table points us toward the Body of the Word as God's food. Even the language of the Song of Solomon gives us another picture: “And at our door is every delicacy, both new and old, that I have stored up for you.” Song of Solomon 7:13 There are dimensions of Christ that we have not yet adequately explored. There are descriptions that we have read without necessarily understanding. There are Scriptures we have quoted without asking what Person they are revealing. And this is where the unfolding of the Word becomes important. “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:130 The Body of the Word can be read. The Body of the Word can be unfolded. And when unfolded, light comes. Not merely intellectual information. Revelation. The knowledge of the Father. The Clean Food of God This also helps us understand the Old Testament distinction between clean and unclean food. Leviticus 11 records God's instructions concerning clean and unclean animals. The animals were not simply a collection of arbitrary dietary regulations. Within the larger biblical pattern, they also point toward deeper realities that find their fulfillment in Christ. The clean animals—including lambs, sheep, goats and bulls—were repeatedly associated with sacrifice and worship. The ultimate reality, however, is Christ - his Body. John the Baptist identifies Him as: “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 And Jesus declares: “My flesh is real food.” John 6:55 So the shadow points toward the substance. The symbol points toward the Person. The animal points toward the Lamb. The bread points toward the Bread of Life. The descriptions point toward the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the clean food of God. And the delicacies contained within that Body are the detailed revelations through which God makes Himself known. What Are We Eating? Perhaps this is the question we should leave with today. What are you feeding your understanding of God with? Opinions? Traditions? Culture? Personal assumptions? Or are you allowing the Scriptures to introduce you to the Person of the Word? Jesus said the Scriptures testify about Him (John 5:39). The Holy Spirit takes what belongs to Christ and makes it known (John 16:13–15). The unfolding of the Word gives light (Psalm 119:130). And Christ is the exact representation of the invisible God (Hebrews 1:3). Therefore, there is a profound invitation before us: Come and feed on the Body of the Word. Look. Read. Unfold. Ask the Holy Spirit to open the Body of the Word to you. Look at the Body of the Word. Look at the descriptions. Look at its purity. Look at its holiness. Look at its beauty. Look at its members. Look at the delicacies contained within it. And perhaps what we have called ordinary words are carrying revelations of the Person of Christ that we have not yet tasted. The Father wants to make Himself known. And He has given us the Body of the Word. The Body of the Word is the image of the invisible God. The Body of the Word is pure. The Body of the Word is holy. The Body of the Word is clean food. And the revelation of that Body is a delicacy prepared for those who are willing to come to the table. *TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)* *LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY,AUGUST 27, 2026* *TOPIC: RESTORED DOMINION* *BIBLE VERSE* “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”-Genesis 1:28 (KJV) *MEDITATION* From the beginning, God created humanity with a mandate of dominion. Genesis 1:28 reveals that dominion was not man's invention but God's gift and responsibility. To have dominion means to exercise responsible authority and stewardship under God's ultimate rule, bringing order, productivity, righteousness, and godly influence into the sphere entrusted to us. Sin, however, damaged humanity's relationship with God and disrupted the proper exercise of this mandate. When Adam disobeyed God, he surrendered himself to sin's power and opened the door to consequences that affected the entire human race (Genesis 3:6–19; Romans 5:12). Believers today can also experience a diminished exercise of their God-given authority when they live in persistent disobedience, surrender to fear, allow destructive habits to control them, or forget their identity and authority in Christ. Dominion is therefore not a license for pride or domination over other people; it is the responsibility to live under God's authority while exercising the authority He has entrusted to us. The good news is that Christ came to restore what sin had damaged. Jesus declared, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18), and He commissioned His followers to operate under that authority. When His disciples returned from ministry, Jesus told them, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19). Through Christ, believers are no longer required to live as slaves to the dominion of sin, fear, or the devil. Romans 6:14 declares, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” The restoration of dominion therefore begins with understanding what Christ has accomplished. We do not reclaim authority by human strength or spiritual bravado; we receive and exercise our authority through submission to Jesus Christ, whose victory becomes the foundation of our victory. One of the clearest biblical examples of restored dominion is found in the life of Samson, although his story also warns us about the consequences of careless living. God gave Samson extraordinary strength and a divine assignment, but his repeated compromise eventually weakened his effectiveness and resulted in his capture by the Philistines (Judges 16:19–21). In his final moments, however, Samson turned his heart toward God and cried, “O Lord GOD, remember me” (Judges 16:28). God answered his prayer, and Samson's strength was restored for one final act of deliverance. His story demonstrates that spiritual compromise can severely damage the exercise of what God has entrusted to us, but it also shows that failure does not have to be the end. Restoration begins when we return to God in humility and allow Him to rebuild what disobedience has weakened. Restoring dominion therefore requires repentance, renewal, and a deliberate return to God's Word. James 4:7 gives a simple but powerful pattern: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Notice that submission to God comes before resistance to the devil. We cannot effectively exercise kingdom authority while deliberately resisting the authority of the King. The believer must therefore confess and forsake sin (1 John 1:9), renew the mind through God's Word (Romans 12:2), strengthen the spirit through prayer, and learn to distinguish God's will from personal ambition. Jesus demonstrated this principle when He resisted Satan in the wilderness by standing upon Scripture (Matthew 4:1–11). Dominion is restored when our lives come back into alignment with the One who gave us the mandate in the first place. Restored dominion must also be expressed through responsible action and godly influence. Joseph exercised remarkable authority in Egypt, but he did not use his position for selfish domination; he used it to preserve lives during famine (Genesis 41:38–57). Daniel likewise exercised influence in Babylon without abandoning his loyalty to God (Daniel 6:3–5). These men demonstrate that kingdom dominion is not about controlling people but about bringing God's wisdom, righteousness, excellence, and order into the places where He has positioned us. A believer exercises restored dominion when he governs his own appetites, manages his resources wisely, leads his family responsibly, resists destructive influences, serves others, makes righteous decisions, and uses his opportunities to advance God's purposes. Proverbs 16:32 reminds us that ruling one's spirit is greater than conquering a city, showing that genuine dominion begins with self-government. If you have allowed sin, fear, failure, addiction, discouragement, or spiritual negligence to weaken your sense and exercise of God-given authority, do not accept defeat as your permanent condition. Return to Christ, because He is the source of your authority and the foundation of your restoration. Remember that your dominion does not mean that you will never encounter opposition or hardship; rather, it means that circumstances, sin, fear, and the enemy do not have the final authority over a believer who remains submitted to Christ. Scripture says that God “hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Therefore, rise again in the authority Christ has provided, rebuild your spiritual life upon God's Word, walk in obedience, and exercise your influence with humility and wisdom. What has been weakened can be strengthened, what has been surrendered can be reclaimed, and what has been neglected can be rebuilt. Through Christ, the believer can recover the confidence and capacity to live under God's authority and fulfil the dominion mandate for which he was created. *PRAYER* Heavenly Father, thank You for the authority and responsibility You have given me through Christ. Restore every area of my life where sin, fear, failure, or disobedience has weakened my dominion. Help me to submit completely to You, stand firmly upon Your Word, resist every work of the enemy, and exercise godly authority with wisdom and humility. Let my life bring order, fruitfulness, righteousness, and glory to Your name. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Dear Father, We all have desires and make requests to become better versions of ourselves. But sometimes, it looks as though we are not nearly as prepared for the responsibility as we are for the blessings that accompany it. The Scripture says, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” And so often, we believe in how much we must do in alignment with what has been entrusted to us. But very rarely do we discuss how much we must refrain from doing by virtue of the office we have been assigned. I believe the word in the passage, “require,” doesn’t just imply what we must give, but also what we must become. Because we rarely speak about the other side of the coin: that the blessing is expected to flow from the inside out; that we begin with being blessed by the blessing, to becoming shaped by the blessing. Perhaps only then can we wholesomely become a blessing to others. Like In situations where great wisdom is entrusted to us, it is required that we exercise discretion and establish the necessary controls around it. And this is where it gets difficult, because control may sometimes mean holding our peace when speaking could exonerate a person, but at the same time, put a stain on his office. Or when stewardship requires not just our undeniable talents, but also our character. What we must give, but also what we must become. This is, perhaps, the perfect blend.
