EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 29, 2025 BECAUSE HE LIVES REV. AROME E. TOKULA Colossians 1:27 - To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.   One of the things the gospel does to you as a child of God is to give you hope. Through the gospel, you are assured of spending eternity with the Father! The gospel also assures you of the victory and triumph of life over death in any situation. It doesn't matter where you are or what your experiences are before you became a child of God, the gospel of our Lord Jesus gives you a reason to live and believe for better things and new experiences!   1 Peter 1:3-4 (Message) says that, “What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR, including a future in heaven—and the FUTURE STARTS NOW!”   When the Bible says that you've been given a brand-new life, it isn't saying that you've been given a brand new 'lifestyle,' it is actually saying that you've been given a brand-new kind of life! You've been given the eternal life of God! This life is the resurrection life of God that injects life into any dead thing and brings it back to life. It gives you a confident assurance that things must change. Your future isn't just in heaven because the future starts now!   You don't have to go to heaven to be healed because there's no sickness in heaven. You won't have to go to heaven to be prosperous because the same resurrection life that raised Jesus from the dead is in you and that same life can turn anything around for your good! Apostle Paul speaking in Philippians 1:19-20 says, “For I know that this shall TURN TO MY SALVATION through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my EARNEST EXPECTATION and MY HOPE, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” The hope of the gospel is what removes every form of shame from your life! It doesn't matter whether the situation looks terrible on the outside and the timelines elapse, you know that everything is working out in your favour so there's no need to be ashamed because you can see victory and you always win.   Our text, Colossians 1:27 says that the mystery of the Christian life is, “.. Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It means that because the resurrected Christ lives within your spirit man, you can expect your life to move from glory to glory! From beauty to beauty!   Christ in us is the reason we know that we will be better today than we were yesterday! It is the reason we can walk off the bed of sickness! It is the reason we can see all the dreams that the Father has implanted in our hearts coming to pass. It is the reason we can dream again and expect good things to come out of negative situations because according to Romans 8:28 (TPT), “... we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”   This is the confidence with which you should face life in the coming year as you thank God for a glorious 2025 in Jesus Name.    DECLARE I am a child of God and I know that the resurrection life of God is in me because I have Christ Jesus living in me. I am not afraid of the future because the future belongs to me. I am certain that every detail of my life is working out the purpose of God in my life. I'm born and ordained for a life of glory and I'm living it everday in Jesus Name. EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 24, 2025 WHY JESUS WAS BORN REV. AROME E. TOKULA Matthew 1:21 (Passion) - She will GIVE BIRTH to a son and you are to name him ‘SAVIOR,’ for he is DESTINED TO GIVE HIS LIFE to save his people from their sins. The Bible records some extraordinary events that took place on the night Jesus was born. For most people in that day and time of His birth, it was another cold winter’s night. Scripture tells us that angels declared to the shepherds who watched their flocks, “… Don’t be afraid, for I have come to bring you good news, THE MOST JOYOUS NEWS the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere!” (Luke 1:10 TPT). The reason for their joy was simple: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David A SAVIOR, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). This child was born to be the savior of mankind! Heaven rejoiced because humanity – God’s creation – will be delivered from the bondage and grip of the devil! Our text says, “… he is DESTINED to GIVE HIS LIFE to SAVE HIS PEOPLE from their SINS!” The Bible tells us in Matthew 2:1(MSG), “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem village, Judah territory—this was during Herod's kingship—a BAND OF SCHOLARS arrived in Jerusalem from the EAST.” These scholars popularly known as ‘wise men’ were men of repute who were highly educated and schooled in astrology and prophecies. Some have said that they were students of the school in the east (Babylon) where Daniel, hundreds of years before, was raised by Nebuchadnezzar to head. Daniel 2:48 says, “Then the king PROMOTED DANIEL to a high position in the kingdom, lavished him with gifts, and made him governor over the entire province of Babylon and the CHIEF IN CHARGE OF ALL THE BABYLONIAN WISE MEN. “ This group of men had probably been studying the prophecies that Daniel taught and had been observing the stars. When they saw the constellation of the stars and knew that the child had been born, they came all the way to worship and see the prophecy fulfilled! Matthew 2:11 (MSG) says, “They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh.” These men didn’t come to worship empty-handed! They came with gifts and their gifts were significant because of what they represented. While the _gold_ points to Jesus’ _royalty_ because He is ‘The Christ,’ the _frankincense_ spoke of his _divinity_ because it was an aromatic plant that was used in the worship of deities. But the interesting thing is that they also brought _‘myrrh’_ which is a spice used to embalm _the dead_ (John 19:39), and nobody brings such to a baby shower! The myrrh attested to his humanity because He was born to die! These wise men through their gifts preached and demonstrated with understanding the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They were saying through their gifts, God laid aside His majesty to become a man to die for men. They worshipped because where others saw a baby, these wise men saw a God, a Savior and a Redeemer. They knew that this child was born to die! This is the same picture that every child of God should carry in their hearts as they celebrate the birth of Jesus! He is your God, He is Messiah – your King and He is your savior! PRAYER Thank You Father for Your great love for me. Thank You for coming down to earth as a man to die for my sins. As I celebrate the’ birth, of Jesus, I am reminded of His purpose which has been fulfilled in my life. Thank You Jesus for redemption! Thank You for life and victory over the works of the devil! Today, I worship Jesus my God, King and savior who was born to die for me! Euphoria Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 20, 2025 A UNIVERSAL SOLUTION REV. AROME E. TOKULA Romans 3:23-24 23 For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 Being JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, The message of the cross and what Jesus did for humanity in His death, burial and resurrection is the most powerful news that every man and woman desires and needs to hear. The message of the cross offers more than just the promise of healing, protection or financial prosperity – though they are all inclusive of it. If the gospel promised only financial prosperity, then some rich and wealthy sheiks in the Middle East will have a right to feel they don’t need the gospel! The truth is; sickness, hunger, poverty and economic depression might not be universal problems but one universal problem that is common to the rich, the educated, to the illiterate, to the poor and is common to every country and race is SIN and there is a desire in people’s hearts to know ‘how’ to be restored in fellowship to the God they have never known. Our text in Romans 3:23 says that “For ALL have SINNED, and come short of the glory of God.” It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, powerful or common, educated or illiterate, weak or strong, the sin nature and its antecedents is something that cannot be taken away by education, money or some work of charity. The only solution to this universal problem called sin is the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This is what makes the church that understands the gospel message relevant in any nation. We have the solution that governments and institutions cannot provide. Governments can make laws but only God through the gospel can change lives and bring peace to hearts. The reason Jesus died for the whole world is because the whole world was born into sin and came short of God’s glory. The whole world needs a saviour and that saviour is Jesus. Through His sacrifice on the cross, every man and woman regardless of his/her status and where he/she lives can enjoy redemption and be justified freely by simply believing! (Romans 3:24) David in all his wealth, influence and fame defined the blessing as the forgiveness of sins. Romans 4:6-8 says, “In the Scriptures David talks about the blessings that come to people who are ACCEPTABLE to God, EVEN THOUGH THEY DON’T DO ANYTHING TO DESERVE THESE BLESSINGS. David says, “God blesses people WHOSE SINS ARE FORGIVEN and WHOSE EVIL DEEDS ARE FORGOTTEN. The Lord blesses people WHOSE SINS ARE ERASED FROM HIS BOOK”(CEV). Glory to God! The greatest blessing of God is the forgiveness of sins outside our works or self-efforts and because sins are eternally forgiven every other thing - healing, prosperity, protection etc. - flows freely into our lives. Romans 4:7 says, “God BLESSES people whose sins are forgiven and whose evil deeds are forgotten,” because when sins are forgiven, every other blessing flows into people’s lives. The forgiveness of sin is like the gate that when opened, every other thing flows through! The gospel of what Jesus has done for man is the only universal solution to the age long universal problem. Thank Him today because you have been freely forgiven of all your sins and God has given you a mandate to go and tell others that they have been forgiven too. As a child of God, you have the universal solution to the universal problem in the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Refuse to be quiet, share the gospel with someone today! DECLARE It is a great joy and blessing to know that I am eternally forgiven because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He took my place on the cross and paid the debt He didn’t owe so that I can have and live a life I didn’t deserve. In Christ Jesus, I am freely justified and I am committed to let others know what He has done for them because I have the solution in the message of the gospel. EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 9, 2025 GET UP RIGHTEOUS ONE! REV. AROME E. TOKULA Proverbs 24:16 For A RIGHTEOUS MAN may FALL SEVEN TIMES and RISE AGAIN, but the wicked shall fall by calamity. The bible tells us that when someone becomes a Christian, that person is made the very righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). Righteousness means to be justified and acquitted by God and that is exactly what we have in Christ Jesus (Romans 5:1). This means that as a child of God, you can and should stand before the Father God without any sense of inferiority and you can also stand before the devil as a master because you’re in Christ. Jesus said in Mark 16:17, “…In MY NAME they will CAST OUT DEMONS…” This is only possible if as a believer you are conscious of your righteousness in Christ Jesus! In the parable of the lost son; despite the fact that the younger son had wasted his father’s goods through riotous living, he refused to allow condemnation ruin and keep him in that state of shame, guilt and disappointment. Some Christians struggle through life because they allow the guilt and condemnation of one bad decision to determine the outcome of their whole lives. Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus...” it is pertinent to say that no matter what you do as a child of God, He will NEVER condemn you! He will ‘convict’ but He will never ‘condemn.’ The bible says in John 3:17, “For God did not SEND HIS SON into the world TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, but that the world through Him MIGHT BE SAVED.” If God didn’t send Jesus to condemn to condemn the world, the unsaved, how much more the one who has received Him? In Luke 15:18, the bible tells us that the second son who left home came to himself and said, “I will arise and go to MY FATHER, and will say to him, "FATHER, I have sinned against heaven and before you…” _Notice that though he fell, he got up because no matter what happens, it is about him and his ‘father.’ He knew he was righteous before his father and because of this consciousness, he was able to get back up because according to our text, “… a righteous man MAY FALL SEVEN TIMES and RISE AGAIN…” It is righteousness that gives the believer the ability to rise up when he/she falls! Never forget that God has declared you righteous and He expects you to get back up when you fall and keep carrying on as His child! let go and rise in Jesus name! DECLARE I have been declared the righteousness of God because I am in Christ Jesus! I stand before the Father without any sense of inferiority because He loves me. I refuse to be kept under by guilt, shame and condemnation because in me is the ability to rise up when I fall so I get back up and keep moving in Jesus mighty name. PONDER No matter what you do as a child of God, God will NEVER condemn you! EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 2, 2025 GOD STILL RAISES THE DEAD REV. AROME E. TOKULA Acts 26:8 (TPT) And how should you judge this matter? Why is it that any of you THINK IT UNBELIEVABLE that GOD RAISES THE DEAD? I'd like to ask you, “Do you think it is strange or unbelievable that God still raises the dead?” Notice that I said, “ RAISES the dead” not “RAISED the dead!” The strength of the gospel message goes beyond making men morally upright rather it is the victory of life over death! Hebrews 11:35 (TPT) says, “FAITH-FILLED women saw their DEAD CHILDREN RAISED IN RESURRECTION POWER…” Isaiah 53:1 says, “Who has BELIEVED our report? And to whom has the ARM of the LORD been REVEALED?” The ‘Arm of the Lord’ is the power of God! This means there is a report that when believed, a power will be experienced. God’s power is always in demonstration to the degree of your belief in what that power can do. This means that the power of God is as elastic as your belief so don’t limit Him. Psalms 78:41-42 says concerning the children of Israel, “Yes, again and again, they tempted God, and LIMITED THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. They did not REMEMBER HIS POWER: the day when He redeemed them from the enemy.” One of the attributes of God that makes Him God is the fact that He is ‘omnipotent’ meaning He is all-powerful and Colossians 2:10 (MSG) tells us that, “… His power EXTENDS OVER EVERYTHING.” When scripture says ‘everything,’ it means everything. This is the reason when Paul in our text stood before King Agrippa in his defense of the gospel as a prisoner wondered why people would THINK it was far-fetched that God would raise the dead! Now, it isn’t a question of God’s ability to raise the dead rather it is in our being able to think of it. The Apostle Paul felt, “WHY do people think that God can’t raise the dead?” or “Why do people think God can’t heal cancer, sickle cell anemia, stroke, HIV, etc.?” The answer is, they do not know that His power extends over everything – including death! Don’t become so death conscious that you fail to see life and what it can do. Enlarge your picture of the possibilities of what the power of God can do and you will see it produce miracles in your life in Jesus' Name! DECLARE Father, You are magnified through my words and in my heart and life. You’re the creator of the universe and there is nothing You can’t do. I do not limit Your great power. I believe that what men call impossible is possible with You and I declare that You are the God of miracles. I believe I receive healing, miracles, and the dead raised back to life even today in Jesus' Name. TOKULA Numbers 6:23 —26 23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: 24 “The Lord BLESS YOU and KEEP YOU; 25 The Lord make HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU, And be GRACIOUS to you; 26 The Lord lift up HIS COUNTENANCE upon you, And give you PEACE.” Under the Law, the high priest blessed the worshippers at the end of their service by speaking these Words of benediction over them. They held those words tight because they knew that the favour of God made things happen for them. The favour of God distinguished them on their jobs and businesses because an integral component of the blessing is the favour of God. A blessed man is favoured. Never forget that you are blessed because you are in Christ you are a blessed person(Ephesian 1:3)! It doesn’t even matter how people treat you! It doesn’t matter what you go through and your challenges – IN CHRIST YOU ARE BLESSED and the blessing is irreversible. Never start your day without reminding yourself that you are the blessed and the favoured one. Your High Priest – Jesus, is sitting in the heavenly shrine in heaven right now and He is declaring over you: _“The Eternal Father of mercy bless you and keep you; The Eternal All able One make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Eternal Self existent One lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” To ‘keep’ means to ‘guard, hedge, preserve and direct.’_ It means that God is your protector against evil, losses, scams and He is directing your paths in the right direction. He is causing you to be in the right place at the right time. Your God is your keeper today. To ’make His face shine upon you’ actually means ‘to have God smile upon you in approval.’ It means that you are the One that God has approved. When God approves of you, no man can disapprove of you. Ephesians 1:6 says, “… to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED.” Because of Jesus ’ sacrifice on the cross, we have God’s approval. The Amplified translation renders it as, “[So that we might be] to the praise and THE COMMENDATION OF HIS GLORIOUS GRACE (FAVOUR and MERCY), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” We have God’s commendation because we are in His beloved – Jesus. It has nothing to do with our qualification, who we know or do not know, it has everything to do with Jesus! When God’s face is upon a man or woman, victory and peace is assured! The high priestly blessing pronounced says: “The Lord lift up HIS COUNTENANCE upon you, and GIVE YOU PEACE” and this peace means all round prosperity! It means victory! DECLARE I have a High Priest in the heaven Who speaks life over me and all that I do! His name is Jesus and I boldly declare that the Father’s face shines upon me and all that I put my hands upon to do prospers wonderfully because I am under the watching eyes of my God in Jesus name. EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) November 18, 2025 THE WILL AND THE AUTHORITY REV. AROME E. TOKULA 1 John 5:14 “Now, this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in Him, that if we ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He hears us.” Do you know that there is a will, a legally binding document, concerning your life? It is known as the covenant. The new covenant is God’s written ‘Will’ concerning your life! Paul prayed for the church in Colossians 1:9, “For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Apostle Paul wanted them to be knowledgeable of the content of that will because the quality of the believer’s life is dependent on his/her knowledge of the will as seen in the Word. Note, he further prayed in verse 10, “that you may walk worthy of the Lord, FULLY PLEASING Him, BEING FRUITFUL in every good work and INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE of God...” (Colossians 1:10). For believers to fully please God i.e. living by faith (Hebrews 11:6) and bear fruits i.e. produce results, they must increase in knowledge because nobody can DO better than they KNOW! A will (covenant or testament) is a legal document that is only binding after the death of the testator. Hebrews 9:16-17 says, “For where THERE IS A TESTAMENT, there must also of necessity be the DEATH OF THE TESTATOR. For a TESTAMENT is in FORCE after men are dead since it has NO POWER AT ALL while the testator lives.” God’s will for your life which includes eternal life, peace, righteousness, prosperity, health, protection, abundance, long life, joy, etcetera is fully in force today because Jesus – our testator, laid down His life and at His death, the will was activated! God told me many years ago that the devil also has a ‘will’ for my life which is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) but there's no need to be afraid of the devil’s will because he didn't have the guts to die to make his will take effect in my life. God isn’t oblivious of the fact that the devil will lurk around and try to keep you away from what is yours and the first way he does that is by trying to keep you ignorant: therefore, you must press daily to know the truth of the Word of God. You also need to know that you have the authority to enforce this will in your life. This authority is in the Name of Jesus. John 14:13 says, “And WHATEVER you ASK IN MY NAME, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” The word translated ‘ask’ means to ‘make a demand.’ It means you have the right in the Name of Jesus to make demands of whatever is yours in the will and Jesus says without mincing words, …I will do it…” Today you have the authority to go before the Father and receive all that is yours in the place of prayer because the Bible says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ASK anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14). If it is in “the will” it is yours in the Name of Jesus. DECLARE Thank You Father for my inheritance in Christ Jesus. His blood was shed for me to have eternal life, peace, prosperity, health, and long life! He has come that I might have life in abundance so boldly declare that I will not live short of everything that Jesus died for me to have in the Name of Jesus. EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) November 10, 2025 TOUCH NOT THE OIL REV. AROME E. TOKULA Revelation 6:6 - “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not HARM THE OIL AND THE WINE." The world’s financial systems are in chaos and even the wisdom and intelligence of the brightest minds are failing. As believers we aren’t surprised because 1 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT) says, “So where does this leave the PHILOSOPHERS, the SCHOLARS, and the WORLD’S BRILLIANT DEBATERS? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.” Governments after governments, policies after policies and institutions after institutions have yielded no solutions because it is like what Jesus said in Matthew 15:14, “… They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Many years ago, the Prophet Isaiah declared by the spirit, “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people…” but there is a caveat, “… BUT the LORD will arise over you, and His GLORY WILL BE SEEN UPON YOU” (Isaiah 60:2). It is in the midst of these dark financial times of economic downturns and instability that God’s people are going to shine brightest if they will yield to God and follow His plans! In scriptures, horses are symbolic of strength, power and authorities! In the book of Revelation 6:1-8, God shows Apostle John horses that appear in four different colors as white, red, black and green (pale). These horses speak of different forces, market systems and structures and the influence that they exert over the livelihood of people! They are called market forces because there are spiritual forces that exert their influence over economies through men and institutions. In our text, we hear a decree from heaven that commands these forces saying, “…do not HARM the OIL AND THE WINE.” The oil and the wine represent the anointing! As at the time that John had this revelation, there was hyperinflation such that the price of food had increased over 10 times. The New Living Translation says, “… A LOAF of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will COST A DAY’S PAY.” Imagine working a whole day to buy just a loaf of wheat bread! The anointing of God’s Spirit is what shields God’s people from the demonic forces of hyperinflation and famines. Like never before, it is important for every believer to be fully established in the truths, principles and protocols of the anointing of God that prospers and brings increase! Beyond governments, policies and education it is important to be established in the anointing in order to stay ahead of the economy and inflation in the name of the Lord Jesus name. DECLARE The Lord of host has anointed my head with oil and I am living in victory over the forces of the economy. He has given me wine that gladdens the heart. Through the anointing I am protected and preserved from the harsh winds of inflation and famine. God has put me ahead of the economy because He has given me the oil and the wine in the name of the Lord Jesus. TOKULA *John 11:49, 50 49 And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all 50 nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that ONE MAN SHOULD DIE FOR THE PEOPLE, and not that the whole nation should perish. What is at the core of the gospel that made Apostle Paul say in Romans 1:16 (TPT), “ REFUSE to be ashamed of SHARING the wonderful message of GOD'S LIBERATING POWER unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere!” The liberating power of the message of the gospel is the divine exchange where God became man's worst so that man can receive, live and become God’s best through believing. The cross of Jesus was a place of divine exchange! The cross at the time was a regular Roman tool of execution and there were many of such crosses in the land with different criminals hanging on it for different reasons but the cross of Jesus was different! It was different because God Himself hung on that cross and by so doing He was the place of sinful man. God in Jesus paid for man’s sin! 1 Corinthians 15:1, 3 (TPT) says, 1 “ Dear friends, let me give you clearly THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL that I’ve preached to you—the good news that you have heartily received and on which you stand... 3 For I have shared with you what I have received and what is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE: The Messiah DIED FOR OUR SINS, fulfilling the PROPHECIES OF THE SCRIPTURES.” It was prophesied in Isaiah 53 that the innocent will take the place of the guilty and in our text when Jesus stood trial for no offence they found Him guilty of, the prophecy was fulfilled when the high priest at the time – Caiaphas, declared that, “… ONE MAN SHOULD DIE FOR THE PEOPLE, and not that the WHOLE NATION SHOULD PERISH.” Though He declared it without knowing, God established the Words that he spoke. This same message of divine exchange is what we have been asked as a church to go and declare to a perishing world and when we declare it, God through the Holy Spirit establishes it as salvation in their lives when they believe! This is the beautiful message of the gospel that we have been called to fill our world with and this is why we preach! Through the power of God’s Spirit, we are revealing the core of the gospel which is, Jesus died for our sin so we can live through His righteousness imputed to us! DECLARE I am not ashamed of the gospel because it frees and liberates men and women to become everything that God designed for them to be. I am committed to preaching this gospel and filling my world with these truths because I am a partner with God in spreading the message of the gospel. Thank You Father for the great exchange. EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) November 4, 2024 ONLY GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS IN CHRIST REV. AROME E. TOKULA John 9:1, 2 1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was BLIND FROM BIRTH.* 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, WHO SINNED, this man or his parents, that HE WAS BORN BLIND?* Under the dispensation of the Law of Moses, sin was paid for either by the one who sinned or by someone else. The clause upon which the Old Testament hung, demanded that men paid for their sins. When Moses was given the Law, this is what God told him in Exodus 34:6, 7, “... ‘The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, BY NO MEANS CLEARING THE GUILTY, VISITING the iniquity of the fathers upon the CHILDREN and the children’s children to the THIRD and the FOURTH GENERATION.” This is the origin of generational curses in scripture! A curse is the direct consequence of breaking the Law and the effect is visited upon men even to the fourth generation. Note that the punishment required by the Law doesn’t mean that God punishes with evil because there is no evil in His character. Exodus 34:6 says that God is merciful, kind, forgiving, and abounding in goodness and truth but ‘the Law’ requires that the guilty CANNOT be cleared without punishment. That is why Jesus was asked by His disciples when He came to the man that was born blind, “... who sinned?”The Law had taught them that the punishment for sin can be passed from one generation to the other. Jesus’ answer, “... “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that THE WORKS OF GOD should be revealed in him,” is significant” (John 9:3). God was using this man’s case to reveal ‘His’ good works. What is God’s work today? It is the grace of God which we enjoy today because of the finished ‘works’ of Jesus on the cross. Hebrews 4:3 says, “... the WORKS were finished from the FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD,” and Revelations 13:8 makes us know that the Lamb was slain from the foundations of the world; thus, God’s work is the Lamb slain. The slain Lamb is the basis of the New Covenant and in this New Covenant; sin has been fully paid for. In Christ Jesus you have been brought into generational blessings! Today the clause upon which this New Covenant hangs is Hebrews 8:12: “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” This is the covenant God has with the believer today in Christ Jesus. When the blind man heard what Jesus said, he was freed by the truth that God wasn’t punishing him for the sin of his fathers and he got healed. Even today, God no longer visits the iniquities of the fathers on the children because Jesus has fully paid for everything. As a child of God, there are no generational curses on you, only generational blessings. You are blessed because of Jesus. Look completely to Him today as the full price for whatever wrong done in your lineage and become everything His Word says you are. You are free and blessed! DECLARE In Christ Jesus I have become a member of God’s family and every curse is broken in the name of Jesus. I boldly declare that I am free of every generational curse because the consequences fully came upon Jesus. I am blessed and walking in the fullness of the blessing of God upon my life in Jesus name. PONDER As a child of God, there are no generational curses on you, only generational blessings.
