JESUS IS COMING SOON Many Old Testament scriptures offer prophetic glimpses of the Messiah, the Anointed One of God. We know Him today as Jesus Christ, He came as a baby in a manger; He was crucified but He rose again just as He said he would. Looking back through the lens of the New Testament, we come to know this truth: the Messiah came once to die for our sins and become our King. He will come again as a warrior and His reign will never end. The Old Testament prophecies combined with Jesus' words leave no doubt: He is coming again "on the clouds of heaven" (Matt. 26, 64). He's coming back to claim His own, to overthrow every last shred of evil, and to rule forever. Even so, Jesus' return is shrouded in mystery, no one knows when it will happen except the Father (Matt. 24, 36). Since no one knows the day nor the hour, we ought to live with the constant expectation of the second coming of Christ. When He returns, He will judge, separating those who are His from those who are not; like a herdsman would separate his sheep from the goats. May we learn to conduct our lives so that we reflect God's love, showing that we are indeed God's children (Matt. 25, 31-46). Blessed and praised be Our Lord Jesus Christ! 🙏

Friday, 28th August, 2026 TITLE: "FILLED WITH HOPE: GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR FUTURE" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Romans 15:13 (KJV) "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Your present circumstances may change, but God's purpose for your future remains sure." DAY'S REFLECTION Life does not always unfold according to our expectations. There are seasons of waiting, disappointment, uncertainty, loss, and unanswered questions. In such moments, it is easy to lose hope. But God's Word reminds us that our hope is anchored in God, not in circumstances. Paul calls God "the God of hope." Hope is not merely wishing that something good might happen. Biblical hope is a confident expectation based on God's character and promises. Romans 15:13 says that God can "fill you with all joy and peace in believing." Notice the connection between believing, joy, peace, and hope. When we trust God, He gives us an inner peace that circumstances cannot easily destroy. The phrase "abound in hope" means to overflow or be rich in hope. God does not want us merely to survive difficult seasons; He wants our confidence in Him to overflow. Jeremiah 29:11 gives another powerful assurance: "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD." God knows what we cannot see. We may be uncertain about tomorrow, but tomorrow is not uncertain to Him. The word "peace" in this verse points to God's intention for His people—not destruction or evil, but His purposeful care. The phrase "an expected end" speaks of a future or outcome that God has in view. It is important to understand this promise in its original context. Jeremiah spoke these words to Israelites who were experiencing exile and would have to wait for God's appointed time. Therefore, the promise was not that every difficulty would disappear immediately. It was an assurance that God had not abandoned His people and that their difficult season was not the end of their story. Life experience teaches us that a difficult chapter is not necessarily a bad conclusion. Sometimes what looks like a delay is preparation. What feels like a closed door may redirect us. What appears to be an ending may become the beginning of something new. Therefore, do not allow today's difficulty to define your entire future. Continue trusting God. Keep praying. Keep obeying His Word. Keep doing what is right, even when you cannot yet see the outcome. Your future is not controlled by fear. God knows the plans He has for you. Today, let the Holy Spirit fill you with hope, joy, and peace. You may not know exactly what tomorrow holds, but you know Who holds tomorrow. God is the ultimate source of genuine and lasting hope. 2. Faith in God produces joy and peace even during difficult seasons. 3. Our present circumstances do not determine our ultimate future. 4. God's timing may involve waiting, but waiting does not mean abandonment. 5. We can trust God's purpose even when we cannot see the complete picture. 6. Hope enables us to continue moving forward when circumstances are difficult. EVERYDAY ACTION Reject discouragement today; trust God's Word, pray with expectation, and take one faithful step forward. PRAYER Heavenly Father, You are the God of hope. Fill me with joy, peace, and confidence in Your promises. Help me trust Your plans for my life, even when I cannot see the way ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen. DECLARATION I will not lose hope. God has good purposes for my future, and my expectation will not be cut off.
