The good part

Our modern world often praises being busy. We fill our days with many tasks and distractions. This can make us feel important, but it also makes us forget what truly matters. We risk losing focus on Jesus.

Jesus once spoke to a dear friend, Martha. He said: *"Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."*

Martha was busy serving Jesus. She wanted to please Him. But her many tasks made her anxious. She lost her focus. **Mary chose to sit and listen to Jesus.** This was the better part.

God does not need our constant work to advance His Kingdom. He wants our hearts first. He longs for us to be still and present with Him. He values quiet time with Him more than endless activity.
