DAY 28 - Morning
Theme: BUILDING A SAFE HOME: Creating a Marriage Where Love, Respect and Peace Can Grow.
Reflection
Peace Is Something You Practice
Good morning,
Peace does not simply happen because two Christians get married.
It must be practised.
You practise peace when you lower your voice.
You practise peace when you apologize.
You practise peace when you refuse to bring an old offence into a new conversation.
You practise peace when you choose to pray before reacting.
You practise peace when you say:
"Let's take a break and come back to this when we are calmer."
Peace is not weakness.
Sometimes it takes greater strength to walk away from an unnecessary argument than to win it.
God's Word
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." — Romans 12:18
Today's Love Action
Before responding to something irritating today, pause, breathe and pray briefly.
Let's Talk
What practical habit helps bring peace back into your home after disagreement?
Prayer
Prince of Peace, teach us to become peacemakers in our own homes. Help us respond with wisdom instead of reacting from anger. Amen.
From The Counselor's Chair
Peace is not pretending problems don't exist. Peace is learning how to face problems without becoming enemies.
Marriage Nugget
"Sometimes the most powerful words in marriage are, 'Let's find peace before we find who is right.'"
Remember
In marriage, it is not about winning the argument; it is about winning each other's hearts.
