67 His father zachariah was filled with the holy spirit and prophesied

Discusion
much as the book of 1 samuel began with the story of the barren Hannah and her child samuel, the Book of luke opens with the story of an eldery priest, Zachariah, and his barren wife, Elizabeth, who was also were blessed with the special child.
One day as Zachariah was offering incense at the temple immn jerusalem, the angle Gabriel appeared to him and promised taht Elizabeth world bear a son. Gabriel also said their son world play a crucial role in God's plan tk redeem Israel
Zachariah was skeptical. As a penalty for his lack of faith, he was unable to speak until after his sons birth[Lk 1:1-22]
After their son was born, group of friends and neighbors visited Zachariah and Elizabeth to observe the ceremony of circumcision. against custom, Elizabeth declared their son world be named by writting it on a tablet.Then "he began to speak, praising God"[vs 64 NIV]
