Devotional message: The Bible records that God created man in His image and according to His likeness. This means that it is in our becoming like Him, through being conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, that we are able to function according to His nature and purposes. As we become like Christ, we are positioned to represent Him accurately and function in the authority He has entrusted to us. It is our becoming like Him that positions us to exercise authority over principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness and to function in dominion over creation. You cannot effectively exercise authority over something you are yourself a captive of. Therefore, before we focus on walking in power, healing the sick, casting out demons, and walking in dominion, we must first prioritize becoming like Christ. Many of the things we desire from God are by-products of our becoming. As Christ is formed in us, our character, conduct, authority, and influence begin to reflect Him. Therefore, our greatest pursuit should not merely be what we can do for God, but who we are becoming in Him. In the coming days, we shall continue looking at this series on BECOMING LIKE CHRIST and discover why becoming must come before doing, and why Christlikeness should remain at the centre of our walk with God. God is more interested in who we are becoming than merely what we are doing. As we become like Christ, our authority, influence, character, and works should flow from that transformation. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 243 DATE: 31ST AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: BLASPHEMING THE HOLY SPIRIT ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Matthew 12:31 (NKJV) “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.” — Devotional message The words of Jesus in our anchor Scripture are among the most serious warnings He gave concerning the Holy Spirit.The religious leaders had witnessed Jesus casting out demons, yet instead of acknowledging the work of God, they deliberately attributed His work to Beelzebub, the ruler of demons. Their problem was not simply that they misunderstood what had happened. They were confronted with the manifest work of God's Spirit and deliberately called it the work of Satan.The context is important. Jesus was specifically addressing the deliberate and hardened attribution of the Spirit's work to Satan. Therefore, we should never approach this subject carelessly or create unnecessary fear in believers who are genuinely seeking God. At the same time, we must walk in reverence, discernment, and humility concerning the things of God.We should never casually call something the work of the devil when God is genuinely at work. Likewise, we should not call something God's work when we know that it was produced through ungodly means. Sometimes people attribute their success, promotion, business, wealth, relationships, or achievements to God while knowing that they obtained them through compromise, dishonesty, corruption, manipulation, or other ungodly means.You cannot deliberately compromise God's principles and then use God's name to justify the outcome. The fact that something succeeded does not automatically mean that God approved the method used to obtain it.God is concerned not only about the result but also about the righteousness of the process.If God gives you a promotion, give Him the glory.If God blesses your business, give Him the glory.If God entrusts you with children, honour Him with how you raise them.If God gives you influence, use it to advance His Kingdom.If God gives you resources, steward them faithfully. Child of God, let us cultivate a heart that gives God the glory for what genuinely comes from Him, while also maintaining discernment concerning what we see and experience.The proper response is not fear but reverence, repentance, humility, and submission to God.Let us give God what belongs to Him.Give glory to whom glory is due. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 242 DATE: 30TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS_1 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 4:3–4 (NKJV) “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe...” — Devotional message: One of the greatest strategies of the enemy is not only to create problems but to blind people to the solutions God has already placed within them.Paul tells us that “the god of this age has blinded” the minds of those who do not believe. Spiritual blindness can cause a person to see the problem but fail to recognize the grace, authority, wisdom, resources, and potential God has placed within them to become part of the solution. You see your family in trouble, and instead of asking God, “What can I do?”, you join everyone else in complaining.You see your child trapped in addiction, drunkenness, or a lifestyle that does not glorify God, and you simply say, “That is how they are.”You see problems in your community, workplace, nation, church, or family, and you join the multitude in lamenting about them. Child of God, you are not merely a spectator of the problems around you; you are called to be part of God's solution.Why should the sick be around you without you praying for them and trusting God for their healing? Why should someone oppressed by darkness be regarded as a hopeless case when Jesus has given His Church authority over the power of the enemy? Why should a child lack school fees while you have been entrusted with resources? Why should a servant of God go hungry while God has blessed you with the ability to provide? Why should someone struggle to pay rent while you have the capacity to help? This is not to suggest that every problem around us is solely our responsibility or that we can solve everything through human strength. Rather, God has strategically positioned His people in different places and entrusted them with different resources so that they can become channels of His grace. What you carry matters.Jesus said:“He who believes in Me... out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38 (NKJV).There is something God has deposited within you that is meant to flow beyond you. A river does not exist merely to water itself; it flows so that others may live. Therefore, do not become so consumed by the magnitude of the problem that you forget the greatness of the God who lives in you.The enemy wants you to look at the mountain and conclude, “It is too big.”God wants you to look at the mountain and ask, “Lord, what have You placed in me that can become part of the answer?” The Israelites cried because of their oppression in Egypt, and God raised Moses. When humanity was lost in sin, God sent His Son. Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly raised people whom He positioned as instruments of deliverance, provision, leadership, wisdom, and transformation. Complaining without action does not transform communities. But prayer, wisdom, obedience, generosity, creativity, courage, and action can become instruments through which God brings transformation.Remember: you are not the source; God is the Source. You are the vessel. The power, wisdom, grace, and resources ultimately come from Him. THE TRUE BREAD OF HEAVEN TEACHING SERIES THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (Part 13) ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 6:11 (NKJV) “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” Additional Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 2:12–13; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Galatians 5:16–25 We continue with our series on the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, and today we look at another vital ministry of the Holy Spirit—His work as our Sanctifier. God has called every believer to reflect and mirror His holy character. Scripture declares, “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,” because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:15–16). However, there is a fundamental problem: holiness cannot be produced by human strength alone. In ourselves, we are unable to attain the righteousness God requires. Yet, remarkably, those who belong to Christ are called saints—those who have been set apart for God. Since holiness does not originate from our fallen nature, we must be made holy. This is where the ministry of the Holy Spirit becomes essential. The Holy Spirit is the One who works within us to sanctify us and conform us to the image of Christ. His title, “Holy Spirit,” speaks not only of His own holy nature but also points to His work of producing holiness within the people of God. One of the special ministries of the Holy Spirit is therefore to make us saints—to consecrate and set us apart for God. To be sanctified means to be made holy, set apart, and increasingly conformed to God's righteous character. Sanctification begins when we are united with Christ and continues throughout our earthly lives as the Holy Spirit progressively transforms us. Ultimately, God will complete this work when we are fully glorified in His presence. The Apostle Paul reminds us: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” — Philippians 2:12–13 This reveals an important truth: sanctification involves both God's work and our cooperation. God works within us through the Holy Spirit, but we must willingly yield, obey, resist sin, renew our minds through the Word, and respond to His promptings. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and continually works to produce a righteous heart and life. He changes our desires, corrects our attitudes, strengthens us against sin, and develops Christlike character within us. As we yield to Him, the fruit of the Spirit becomes increasingly evident in our lives—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Child of God, salvation is not merely about being forgiven; it is also about being transformed. God did not save us so that we could remain the same. He desires to make us increasingly like Christ in character, conduct, and lifestyle. Therefore, do not resist the dealings of the Holy Spirit. Allow Him to search your heart, correct you, cleanse you, and transform you. Cooperate with His work, because the same Spirit who saved you is also the Spirit who sanctifies you. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 241 DATE: 29TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: GOD OF SIGNS AND WONDERS ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 4:1 (NKJV) “Then Moses answered and said, ‘But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, “The LORD has not appeared to you.”’ Devotional message: When God called Moses to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, Moses was concerned that the Israelites might not believe that God had appeared to him or that He had truly sent him. God therefore gave Moses signs that would authenticate the message and demonstrate His power. The rod in Moses' hand became an instrument through which God demonstrated His supernatural power. God was showing Moses that the assignment would not be accomplished by human ability alone, but by His power working through a yielded vessel. When Moses and Aaron eventually went before the Israelites, Scripture records:“So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.”Ex 4:31 (NKJV) We see the same principle throughout the ministry of the early Church. The apostles did not depend solely on human eloquence or persuasive speech. They preached Christ while demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit. This does not diminish the importance of preaching and teaching the Word of God. We must study Scripture, understand it accurately, and communicate the Gospel faithfully. However, we should also desire the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. The Gospel is not merely a message that should be heard; it is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). God can confirm His Word through supernatural manifestations according to His will. Yet we must understand the purpose of signs and wonders. They are not given for entertainment, personal fame, self-exaltation, or the glorification of the vessel God uses. Jesus must remain the centre.Signs and wonders should point people to Christ, confirm the proclamation of the Gospel, demonstrate God's compassion and power, and cause people to recognize that Jesus is Lord. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the God of signs and wonders.May my life become an instrument through which many encounter Your power, receive salvation, and turn to Christ. ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 4:2 (NKJV) So the LORD said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ He said, ‘A rod.’” — Devotional message: When God called Moses to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, Moses felt inadequate for the assignment. Yet God did not begin by asking Moses what he lacked. Instead, He asked him a profound question:What is that in your hand?” God used something Moses already possessed—a rod—to demonstrate His power and accomplish His purposes. This teaches us that God often uses what He has already placed within us and entrusted to us: gifts, talents, skills, experiences, resources, opportunities, and abilities. What we consider ordinary may become extraordinary when surrendered to God. Moses had a rod. David had a sling. The widow had a little oil. A young boy had five loaves and two fish. What appeared insignificant in human eyes became significant when placed in God's hands. Therefore, do not despise what God has already entrusted to you.Identify your gifts.Develop your skills.Sharpen your abilities.Grow in your calling.Increase your knowledge.And, above all, surrender what you have to God. The gift may be in you, but the grace and power to use it effectively come from God. Your responsibility is to recognize what He has entrusted to you, develop it faithfully, and put it to work for His glory. Your limitation is not necessarily the absence of resources; sometimes it is the failure to recognize and steward what God has already given you. Therefore, stop looking around and despising your portion. Stop comparing your beginning with someone else's harvest. Ask God to open your eyes to see what He has already deposited in you and give you wisdom to develop it. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 239 DATE: 27TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: TAKE HIS YOKE UPON YOU_2 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:MATTHEW 11:29–30 (NKJV) “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Devotional message: Yesterday, we saw that Jesus desires us to be yoked with Him so that He can order our steps and ensure that we walk on the path of light. Today, we continue by looking at another reason we must remain yoked with Christ: He desires to direct our lives. The Bible warns us against leaning on our own understanding because our own wisdom and direction can lead us away from God's will. True and lasting fulfillment is found when we allow God to direct our paths. When we are yoked with Christ, we surrender our will, plans, decisions, and ambitions to Him. We no longer insist on going where we want to go; instead, we learn to follow where He leads. His Word becomes our final authority, and the Holy Spirit becomes our guide. It is through this relationship with Christ that we begin to discover and fulfil our God-given purpose. God created each of us intentionally, and He has assignments prepared for us. However, we cannot fulfil those assignments by depending solely on our own wisdom, strength, or abilities. As we conform to the image of Christ, we become better equipped to represent Him and function according to His purposes. The closer we walk with Him, the clearer His direction becomes. Therefore, ask yourself today: Am I fulfilling what God created me to do? Am I walking according to His Word and submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit, or am I directing my own life?If you are already walking in God's purpose, continue faithfully. But if you have discovered that you have been walking according to your own plans, return to Christ and allow Him to order your steps.For the believer, the answer is to yoke yourself more deeply with Christ. For the unbeliever, the first step is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and begin a life of surrender to Him. Do not merely come to Jesus for rest; walk with Him under His yoke. Let Him direct your decisions, relationships, career, ministry, business, and every area of your life. Make His Word your final authority and submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.When Christ directs your steps, you will not merely live—you will live with purpose, direction, and divine fulfillment. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Jesus Christ, the One who directs my steps and leads me into Your purposes.
