TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 🔥SERMON: BE SPIRITUALLY ALERT — EMBER MONTHS ARE HERE. Theme: “Watch and Pray: Finishing the Year Strong in Christ” Key Text: 1 Peter 5:8–9 > “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 🔥 THE YEAR IS NOT OVER YET! Beloved, we have entered the final stretch of the year. The ember months—September, October, November and December—are often associated with celebrations, travelling, weddings, parties, business activities, family gatherings and end-of-year excitement. But as Christians, we must understand something: The end of the year is not a time to become spiritually careless. It is a time to become spiritually alert! Many people become relaxed because they think, “The year is almost over.” But the devil does not take a holiday. Your prayer life must not go on holiday. Your Bible study must not go on holiday. Your holiness must not go on holiday. Your spiritual discernment must not go on holiday. The fact that we are approaching the end of the year does not mean we should lower our spiritual guard. This is the season to watch, pray, discern and finish well! 1. 🛡️ BE SOBER AND VIGILANT. 1 Peter 5:8 Peter says: > “Be sober, be vigilant…” To be sober means to remain spiritually clear-minded. To be vigilant means to remain watchful and alert. A Christian can be physically awake but spiritually asleep. You may attend church and still become spiritually careless. You may carry a Bible and still lose spiritual sensitivity. You may pray yesterday and still need to pray today. The ember months can bring many distractions: Excessive celebrations Ungodly relationships Financial pressure Peer pressure Sexual temptation Substance abuse Unnecessary travelling Reckless spending Internet and social-media distractions Pressure to “make it before the year ends” Do not allow the excitement of the season to silence the voice of the Holy Spirit. 2. 🙏 WATCH AND PRAY Matthew 26:41 > “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…” Notice that Jesus did not say pray without watching. He said: Watch AND pray. Prayer without spiritual alertness can make us careless. Spiritual alertness without prayer can make us powerless. We need both. During these months, increase your prayer life. Pray concerning: Your family Your children Your marriage Your career Your ministry Your finances Your travels Your relationships Your spiritual life The decisions you will make Do not wait until trouble comes before you begin to pray. Prayer is not only a crisis response; prayer is spiritual preparation. 3. 🕯️ DO NOT LET THE SEASON STEAL YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE Romans 12:11 > “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. One danger of the ember months is spiritual fatigue. People become tired and say: > “I have prayed enough this year.” No! You don't retire from your relationship with God because the calendar is approaching December. Your spiritual fire must continue burning. Leviticus 6:13 > “The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Your altar must remain alive. Don't let December find you spiritually empty. Keep reading the Word. Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep serving. Keep witnessing. Keep forgiving. Keep walking in holiness. 4. ⚠️ BE CAREFUL WITH DECISIONS MADE UNDER PRESSURE. The final months of the year can create tremendous pressure. People begin asking: “What have you achieved this year?” “How much money have you made?” “When are you getting married?” “When will you build your house?” “When will you buy a car?” “What are you doing with your life?” Such questions can create comparison and desperation. And desperation can lead people into wrong decisions. Remember: You do not need to destroy your future because you are trying to impress people before December 31. Psalm 37:7 says: > “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him…” Do not enter a wrong relationship because you are afraid of being single. Do not enter fraudulent business because you want quick money. Do not compromise your faith because you want acceptance. Do not abandon God's principles because you feel behind. God's timing is better than human pressure. 5. 🎯 FINISH THE YEAR STRONG. Philippians 3:13–14 Paul says: > “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before…” There is still time. Perhaps January did not go as planned. Maybe February brought disappointment. Maybe March brought unexpected challenges. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe opportunities passed. Maybe you experienced losses. But the year is not over yet. Don't spend the remaining months mourning what went wrong. Ask: > “Lord, what can I still do with the time You have given me?” You can still pray. You can still reconcile. You can still start. You can still learn. You can still serve. You can still evangelize. You can still correct your mistakes. You can still become spiritually stronger. There are still chapters of your story that have not been written. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: NEHEMIAH. Consider Nehemiah. When Nehemiah and the people were rebuilding Jerusalem's wall, their enemies attempted to distract and intimidate them. Nehemiah 4:9 > “Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night…” Look at the balance: They prayed AND they watched. They did not say: > “We are praying, so we don't need to be careful.” Neither did they say: > “We are watching, so we don't need God.” They did both. Prayer + Watchfulness = Spiritual Alertness This is a powerful principle for the ember months. Pray as though everything depends on God. Work and watch as though God expects you to be responsible. 💡 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Not every opportunity is a God-given opportunity. Some opportunities are simply distractions dressed as blessings. Discern before you accept. 2. Not every relationship deserves access to your destiny. Some relationships strengthen your faith. Others weaken it. Watch your associations. 3. The enemy often uses distraction before destruction. He does not always begin with something obviously evil. Sometimes he begins with: > “Just this once.” Then another time. Then another. Eventually, compromise becomes normal. 4. The final months require spiritual discipline, not spiritual panic. Do not wait until December to start asking God to fix everything. Walk with God daily. 5. Your greatest victory may be finishing faithfully. Not everyone who starts well finishes well. Your goal should not simply be: > “I want to end the year wealthy.” Say: > “I want to end the year closer to God, stronger in faith, cleaner in character and faithful to my assignment.” ✅ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR THE EMBER MONTHS. 1. Establish a daily prayer time. Even if it is 15–30 minutes, be consistent. 2. Read the Bible daily. Don't allow social media to receive more attention than God's Word. 3. Examine your relationships. Ask who is strengthening your faith and who is weakening it. 4. Avoid unnecessary risks. Be wise with travelling, finances, relationships and celebrations. 5. Control your spending. Don't spend January's resources trying to impress people in December. 6. Stay connected to Christian fellowship. Don't isolate yourself spiritually. 7. Practice gratitude. Count your blessings instead of comparing yourself with others. 8. Set spiritual goals. Before the year ends, decide what you want to accomplish spiritually. 9. Reconcile where necessary. Do not carry unnecessary bitterness into another year. 10. Finish what God has entrusted to you. Don't abandon your assignment because the year has been difficult. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION 1. How spiritually alert am I right now? 2. Has my prayer life become weaker? 3. What distractions are threatening my relationship with God? 4. Are there relationships I need to reconsider? 5. Am I making decisions because of God's leading or because of pressure? 6. What temptation do I need to become more watchful against? 7. What unfinished assignment should I complete before the year ends? 8. If the year ended today, would I be satisfied with my walk with God? 9. What must I stop doing? 10. What must I start doing? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Prayer for spiritual alertness Father, awaken my spirit and make me sensitive to Your voice. Help me to recognize every distraction and every trap of the enemy. 2. Prayer for protection Lord, preserve me, my family and everyone connected to me throughout these remaining months. Keep us from evil and unnecessary danger. 3. Prayer against temptation Father, strengthen me to say NO to every temptation that can destroy my testimony, destiny and relationship with You. 4. Prayer for divine direction. Lord, guide my decisions. Give me wisdom to know what to accept, what to reject and what to wait for. 5. Prayer against desperation Father, deliver me from the pressure to compete, compare or compromise. Help me to trust Your timing. 6. Prayer for restoration Lord, restore whatever I have lost that is according to Your will, and give me wisdom to recover what can still be recovered. 7. Prayer for finishing well Father, I will not finish this year spiritually empty. Give me grace to finish stronger, wiser, purer and closer to You than I started. 8. Prayer for the family Lord, preserve our families. Let no tragedy, division or destructive influence prevail over our homes. 9. Prayer for purpose Father, help me to complete every assignment You have entrusted to me before the end of this year. 10. Prayer of surrender Lord Jesus, I surrender the remaining months of this year to You. Take control of my life, my plans, my family, my decisions and my future. Let Your will be done in my life. Amen. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING: DON'T SLEEP THROUGH YOUR SEASON! Church, the ember months are here, but God's grace is still available! Don't become careless. Don't become distracted. Don't become desperate. Don't compromise. Don't allow celebrations to replace consecration. Don't allow social pressure to replace God's direction. Don't allow the mistakes of yesterday to destroy the possibilities of tomorrow. WATCH! PRAY! DISCERN! STAND FIRM! FINISH STRONG! The year may be approaching its final months, but your assignment is not finished. Your testimony is not finished. Your purpose is not finished. Your story is not finished. And above all: God is not finished with you! > “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” — Mark 13:33 🔥 MY CHARGE TO YOU: Enter the ember months with prayer. Walk through them with wisdom. Live through them with holiness. Move through them with discernment. And finish them with thanksgiving. Be spiritually alert. Thank You for carrying us through another week. Through every challenge, disappointment, victory, and unexpected situation, You have remained faithful. Your Word declares, “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV) Lord, we receive new mercy, new grace, new strength, and renewed hope this morning. Father, some are waking up thankful, while others are waking up tired. Some are celebrating, while others are carrying burdens nobody knows about. Some are worried about their families, finances, health, employment, relationships, or what tomorrow may bring. Protect our children, grandchildren, spouses, parents, siblings, relatives, and friends. Keep them from dangers seen and unseen. Let our homes be filled with love, forgiveness, unity, peace, and the presence of God. We pray for those facing financial struggles, employment concerns, and uncertain situations. Open doors that no man can shut. Provide resources, opportunities, favor, and increase according to Your will. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 (KJV) Father, order our steps throughout this Saturday. Before we make a decision, give us wisdom. Before we speak, guard our words. Before we become discouraged, remind us of Your promises. And wherever we go, let our lives bring glory to You. Lord, after everything we have faced this week, help us to remember: WE ARE STILL HERE! WE ARE STILL STANDING! WE ARE STILL BLESSED! AND GOD IS STILL FAITHFUL! So this Saturday morning, we will not allow yesterday's trouble to steal today's joy. We will rejoice because You gave us another day, another opportunity, and another reason to praise Your name! I've been on this platform only a few days, but I have observed something rather disappointing. Now I know it takes time to form and develop relationships, but what I see is akin to walking into a new church, staying for the entire service, and not have one person greet you, or even acknowledge your presence. In our travels, Patsy and I upon finding ourselves in a new city have experienced this too many times. Our take? Were we to be living in that city, there's one church we would not consider making our church home. I've done a bit of browsing around a few places on this platform, including looking at the public feed. I have seen zero conversations between members. A few comments on posts which for the most part are one or two word comments. That's not conversation. I've made a few posts which could be material for conversations. Not one comment on any of them, So is this platform going to be a fellowship of fellow Christians, or is it just going to be a board for sharing memes and other non-personal content?

Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 17 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar. God drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness. (Job 26:10) The earth – ingeniously protected Water is essential for life as we know it. Water can be found everywhere on earth. Clouds carry it there, sometimes it rains or snows, other times fog carries it; even in deserts, dew falls.  On earth, there are 1.4 billion cubic kilometres of water in an endless cycle. Only 0.0001 percent of it exists as water vapour in the atmosphere. To ensure that none of this precious resource is lost, there is a kind of built-in vapour barrier above us. When water evaporates and rises, it freezes into ice crystals. These crystals then fall back down due to gravity.  This process prevents water from evaporating into space, and thus maintains a temperate planet, suited to the continuation of life.  Additionally, we have our atmosphere. If there were neither an earth atmosphere nor an earth magnetosphere, we would be constantly exposed to x-rays, bombarded by solar wind, and hit by meteorites. Life would be exterminated, and the planet earth uninhabitable. However, as it is, the earth travels through the solar system at supersonic speed, protected by the ozone layer and the atmosphere.  I must confess, I lack the belief that all of this could have happened randomly and gradually formed, so perfectly and beautifully. No – God “drew a circular horizon” and formed the atmosphere and the horizon on earth. And into the universe, He placed lights “for signs and seasons, and for days and years”.  With David, I say, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork” (Genesis 1:14; Psalm 19:1). Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you. In preparation for my German littles, there has been a lot of activity around the house. I have two rooms left upstairs to complete, and two rooms downstairs to finish. Yesterday was an outside workday. A trip to town for supplies first thing, then mowing … two yards pristinely mowed (if I do say so myself…haha), then finishing up one of the three rooms upstairs. My back is telling me that I am not young anymore…haha. During my travels yesterday, I was listening to different songs and commentary from my phone. One person that I follow because I like their content was singing Are You Washed in the Blood; however, she changed it from Are you … to I am. It caught me off guard at first, thinking it was not the song I thought it was; however, I quickly found myself singing right along with her. The power that I felt by changing the lyrics just that little bit … magnificent. I got chills as I sang along, thinking about how blessed I am that I made that decision, so many years ago, and though I have fallen more times than I can count … I am washed in the blood of the Lamb. I will walk on the streets of gold one day. The last time that I talked to my father-in-law, I asked him if he knew where he was going after he died. He plainly and directly told me that he was going to the cemetery in a hole. (Before his passing, he did change his view and was baptized.) Unfortunately, his thought process is that of many walking beside us today … even some ‘Christians’. Those who attend church regularly or claim the title still struggle with overt feelings that are not truly washed. This pains me. Having the peace of His blood covering my soul, without a doubt knowing where I will spend eternity, that is what makes life so much easier to manage. Scripture says that His peace is incomprehensible to those who do not have it. This is because the enemy has his digs into the thoughts of those who are lacking. He plugs and picks away at what they think they know versus what they feel. He finds cracks and small entryways into their minds and reminds them of every little infraction they ever committed. He shouts out all ‘big’ sins and whispers the ‘little’ ones. He remembers every little thing that you did your entire life and reminds you of it to keep you down. HOWEVER, when you are washed in the blood, everything you did prior to your washing is washed away the minute you are baptized. Nothing you did prior to your conversion is held against you. You are genuinely washed in his blood for those sins. Now … the cool thing about after that day … after you are committed and washed in baptism, when you fall (and you will because you are human), all you need to do is go to Him in prayer and ask for forgiveness. Daily, I talk to Him, ask Him to show me my failings, ask Him to forgive me, and to fill me with His Spirit. Peace flows through me like a river. And it can you as well. Today I encourage you to go to Him in prayer. Have a lengthy conversation about your day, what is coming up that you already know will be a potential trip hazard, ask Him to steady your footsteps, and walk in His peace. If you have not yet committed to His offering of salvation, I encourage you to seek out His presence and sit with Him. Ask Him whatever is on your heart. Watch the birds of the air and ground animals play and know that if He will take care of them, as he does, then why wouldn’t He want to take care of his most precious commodity …YOU. My friend, seek His love, grace, and mercy. There is nothing like it. I promise. Be blessed. **My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. – Psalm 101:6

His healing power shall strengthen my body, renew my mind, and fill my heart with perfect peace. I proclaim that my home shall remain a place of God's presence, joy, love, and safety. His favor shall surround us as a shield, His mercy shall speak on our behalf, and His faithfulness shall never fail us. We shall dwell securely because the Lord watches over us continually. Today, I receive divine wisdom to walk in obedience, make righteous decisions, and remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord shall direct my steps away from danger and into the path of peace, purpose, and blessing. I declare that this day shall be filled with divine protection, supernatural provision, answered prayers, favor, and joy. I shall live confidently, not in fear, but in the assurance that the Almighty God is watching over me. My life shall continually testify to His goodness, faithfulness, and mighty power. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏 ✅*Action Steps for today:* 1️⃣ Begin your day by thanking God for His constant protection and unfailing faithfulness. 2️⃣ Read Psalm 91 prayerfully, meditating on God's promises of safety and security. 3️⃣ Declare: “The Lord is my Refuge and Fortress. No evil shall befall me, and His angels shall keep me in all my ways.” 4️⃣ Walk in faith and wisdom today, trusting God's guidance while making responsible decisions in all you do. 5️⃣ End the day by thanking God for preserving you and your loved ones throughout the day. 🔥*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Refuge, my Fortress, and my Protector. Thank You for commanding Your angels to watch over me and my household. Preserve us from every evil, strengthen our faith, and help us to walk daily in obedience to Your Word. 📌 Today's Readings are from the Book of 1 Kings 9–10 | 2 Corinthians 2📌 👇 Overviews Are Below (PLEASE READ YOUR BIBLE: Overviews Do Not Replace Daily Reading) 👇 1 Kings 9 The Blessing of Obedience and the Warning Against Compromise 1 Kings 9 opens after Solomon has completed both the temple and his royal palace. Years of faithful labor have culminated in the fulfillment of God's promises, and once again the Lord appears to Solomon. This second appearance is not primarily about blessing but about covenant responsibility. God reminds Solomon that His promises remain secure, yet continued blessing is connected to continued obedience. The Lord assures Solomon that He has heard his prayer and has set the temple apart for His name. However, He also warns that if Solomon or the people turn away from Him to worship other gods, the nation will experience judgment, and even the magnificent temple will become a testimony of what happens when God's people abandon their covenant relationship with Him. This warning reveals an important biblical principle. God's covenant love never changes, but His people are still responsible to walk faithfully before Him. Outward success and religious activity cannot replace a heart fully devoted to the Lord. The temple itself is not a guarantee of blessing if obedience is absent. The chapter then records Solomon's continued accomplishments. Cities are built, trade expands, alliances are strengthened, and the kingdom prospers. God blesses the work of Solomon's hands, allowing Israel to enjoy peace, influence, and abundance. Yet throughout these achievements, the reader is reminded that prosperity is a gift from God rather than the result of human wisdom alone. Beneath the success, subtle warning signs begin to emerge. Solomon's increasing political alliances and extensive building projects demonstrate remarkable leadership, but they also reveal the growing temptation to depend upon earthly strength rather than wholehearted trust in God. The seeds of future compromise are quietly being planted. Theologically, 1 Kings 9 teaches that God's blessings are intended to lead His people into deeper obedience rather than greater self-confidence. The chapter reminds us that spiritual faithfulness is far more important than outward success. God's presence cannot be replaced by religious buildings, personal achievements, or national prosperity. This chapter points to Christ, who perfectly fulfilled every condition of God's covenant. Where Israel repeatedly failed, Jesus remained completely obedient to the Father.
