THE DAILY DEVOTION for Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Acts 1:8… "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth." Empowered for the Journey When Jesus stood with His disciples just before ascending into heaven, He gave them a final, defining promise: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses." It is easy to read those words and feel a sense of inadequacy. We look at our own frailties, fears, and shortcomings, wondering how we could ever effectively represent a holy God. But the beauty of Acts 1:8 is that the mission never depended on human capability. Jesus did not tell His followers to work up their own courage or polish their speaking skills. Instead, He pointed them to a supernatural source. He promised the Holy Spirit would infuse them with divine power, turning ordinary, hesitant people into bold witnesses. That same power is available to us today. We are not called to navigate our faith quietly or rely on our own strength. Whether we are sharing our faith across the globe or simply showing kindness to a neighbor down the street, the Holy Spirit equips us from within. He gives us the courage to speak up when we want to stay silent and the grace to love when it feels difficult. As we lean on Him, our everyday routines become a canvas for His kingdom, proving that God delights in using ordinary lives to accomplish extraordinary things. Three Key Spiritual Truths We Can Glean from Acts 1:8 1. Empowered by God: Spiritual impact does not come from our own willpower or talent, but entirely through the supernatural strength provided by the Holy Spirit. 2. Called to Witness: Every believer has a distinct calling to bear witness to Christ's love, grace, and truth in the world around them. 3. Starts Right Where We Are: Witnessing is not just for distant missionaries; it begins in our immediate circles and expands outward as God opens doors. "Without the Holy Spirit, there is no life. Any claim of authority is mere pretension. It is vital to acknowledge our utter and complete dependency on the Holy Spirit. Lifeline Today Tuesday September 1 Keep Focus! "Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions." Proverbs 4:25 (MSG) Keep focus! Don’t be distracted! Faith without focus is frustration. Prayer without focus is paralysis. Fasting without focus is failure. At the root of every advancement is focus. It is focus that will direct your talent and your gifts. It is your level of focus that will determine your level of placement as no great destiny emerges without focus. Focus means to be totally committed or absorbed in a specific assignment. It is the ability to gaze unwaveringly into every issue at hand without distractions. Focus does not come naturally, yet it is essential for anyone who wants to fulfill his or her life assignment. Talent with focus directs you and this has the potential to take you far. Focus creates the platform for manifestation and manifestation makes you a centre of attraction which compels attention in your favour. Happy new month. This is your day. Wisdom Fountain: “Scattered energy does nothing. Focused energy creates results.” Prayer: Everlasting Father, thank You for the gift of work and the skills You have given me. I declare total quietness from any noise that may come around me or inside my head. I receive a calm spirit and a clear mind to handle every task in front of me. Help me Lord to let go of worries and stop my attention from wandering. Give me the self-control and strength to finish whatever I start in Jesus' name.

Proverbs 10:9 He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known. NKJV Integrity is not a popular word in our culture anymore, but it is still a powerful one in the Kingdom of God. Solomon does not speak about talent, gifting, influence, or success here. He speaks about how a person walks. That tells us something important. God is not only watching where we arrive, He is watching how we live along the way. To walk with integrity means to be whole. The same person in public and in private. The same convictions on Sunday that guide us on Monday. Integrity is not perfection, it is consistency of heart. It is choosing truth even when it costs us something. It is obeying God when no one is applauding. The promise attached to integrity is security. That does not mean a life without storms. It means a life that is steady when storms come. A man or woman of integrity does not live in fear of exposure. They are not constantly explaining themselves, covering tracks, or adjusting stories. There is a quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are walking straight before God. This kind of security produces peace. Peace of mind. Peace of conscience. Peace in prayer. When your heart is clean, you pray boldly. When your walk is upright, you sleep well. When your words and actions agree, your life has weight and credibility. Then Solomon gives the warning. Those who pervert their ways will become known. To pervert means to twist what is straight. It is subtle compromise. Justifying what God has already spoken clearly about. Adjusting truth to fit convenience. It may look hidden for a season, but Scripture is clear. What is twisted will eventually be exposed. This is not God being harsh. This is God being faithful. He exposes what destroys us so it does not destroy us forever. Hidden compromise always comes to light, either through correction or consequence. The lesson is simple but sobering. Integrity protects you in ways money never can. Reputation can be managed, but character cannot. People may not see your integrity right away, but they will always see the fruit of it in time. In a world full of noise, deception, and double standards, God is still calling His people to walk straight. Not loud. Not perfect. Just faithful. Just honest. Just whole. Ask yourself today, not how far have I come, but how am I walking? Is my private life aligned with my confession? Am I obeying God where it matters most? Choose integrity. Walk uprightly. Trust God with the outcome. Security does not come from hiding. It comes from walking in the light before the Lord.

Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you. Well, well, well, I slept good last night and this morning I had to tell my husband he was right. Ouch. Last night we all made our plans for today and went to bed. He asked me to lay out clothes for him and I reassured him that I would be up when he got up. Well….I woke up when he opened the door to the bedroom. It was 7. He wanted to leave with our youngest son at 7:30. It was a bit of a rush, but we got it done and I told him he was right. He laughed, and I am sure he marked it in his calendar … I do not admit that often. Haha. So, the kids are going to go have some ‘family’ time this morning. My hubby and our youngest son are going to do some early errands and go to breakfast. I am going to get some me time. I got two hours yesterday, and it looks like I will get a couple more today. Having extra bodies in the house is very nice, in that I have lots of help in the driving arena. So, I don’t always have to go and I can get some recharge time. I looked at one of the writing prompt contests that run weekly and I think that I have a good idea for the contest. I will get my next cup of coffee when everyone leaves and see what God puts to paper. Last night I made a goofy me video with the background music of “I’m just a nobody, trying to tell everybody”. It took a few minutes of figuring out the program, but it came out good. Talking with friends a few times over the last couple of months, I have explained that where I am sitting now is not where I thought I would be. Mind you, I had no idea where I would be, nor did I have grandeur ideas … I had pipe dreams that a bunch of money would miraculously appear and I would be rich without worry … I think most of us have that idea. That never happened, obviously, but what did happen is God gave me a solid work ethic, a job that paid well, and a retirement opportunity that offered me a chance to enjoy my eldering years. Never did I think that I would be a public speaker or an author. Not since 4th grade did I think I would be a teacher. Advocator never was in my thoughts. The one thing that really does not surprise me is that I am an oversized child. My childhood was good, do not misunderstand, but my adult childhood is much funner and funnier. I am truly in tune with my inner child. I really love spending time with my littles and absolutely enjoy making people smile. If you look at your life now … how different is it from what you have envisioned over the years? Are you shocked at where you are? How many different areas have you found you had talent in that you did not know you had talent in? Without changing the struggles or dismissing the struggles … because they are a part of the who, what, when, where and how you are now … what would you change? Many talk about going back to a younger age and knowing what they know now … honestly, I do not want to do anything over again, with one exception…When I was 9, my grandmother invited me to the senior center to have dinner with her … it was family night or something special … I told her yes … then forgot about it. She seemed upset the next day to me and that is the ONLY thing that I would change. What would you change? Or would you change anything? Today I want to encourage you to embrace YOU. Accept the YOU that God has molded you to be. Acknowledge your accomplishments and your talents. Then give thanks to Him who has held your hand through it all. You are perfectly made and specifically designed … do not allow the enemy to tell you any different. *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 28TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*GOD WILL MULTIPLY WHAT YOU PLACE IN HIS HANDS*🌟 📖 Scripture: “And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled.” — Mark 6:41–42 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Little in Your Hands, Much in God's Hands* The feeding of the five thousand is one of the powerful demonstrations of Jesus' compassion and divine provision. The disciples saw the multitude and focused on what they did not have. But Jesus took the little that was available—five loaves and two fish—gave thanks, blessed it, and multiplied it. The miracle teaches us an important lesson: God is not limited by the size of what we have. Sometimes we look at our resources, abilities, finances, knowledge, connections, or opportunities and say, “This is not enough.” But when what we have is surrendered to God, He can use it beyond our natural capacity. Notice also that Jesus gave thanks before the multiplication was fully visible. Gratitude is an expression of faith. It recognizes that God is able to do much with what appears small. Today, don't despise what is already in your hands. Give it to God. Your little may become enough. Your enough may become more than enough. And your testimony may become a blessing to many. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that the God of supernatural provision is at work in my life. I refuse to be controlled by the fear of insufficiency because my source is the Almighty God. I declare that everything God has placed in my hands—my time, gifts, talents, knowledge, opportunities, resources, strength, and abilities—shall be used wisely and multiplied for His glory according to His will. I proclaim divine provision over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, finances, and future. May the Lord supply every legitimate need and give me wisdom to manage every blessing He entrusts to me. ED.ii. WHEN WE COME TOGETHER "What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up." - 1 Corinthians 14:26 When we come together, we call it a church meeting or service. In a meeting there should be room for the ministry of God's servant, so the church is educated and grows. But it is also important that the entire congregation participates. If you are a member of a church, then you are not a visitor nor a guest, but a member of the Body of Christ. The intention is that every member participates in the meeting. As the congregation consists of several people, it could become hyperactive. When everyone participates at the same time, it then becomes chaotic. Order in church Paul gives us insights about these things in his letters to the Corinthian church. Corinth was a young church with many activities. That is why they needed help with the order during the church service. They had to learn how such a meeting should be because they had recently been born again. There were gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church, but they did not know which gift to give priority to. They also did not have much experience in dealing with new church members. They did not know how to resolve certain disagreements, etc. Paul wanted to help them. We have gained knowledge about these matters because Paul wrote and explained how everything should work. Paul says that 'the church may be built up' (1 Corinthians 14:26) and in 1 Corinthians 14:40 he says: 'but everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.' Nobody is to have a hidden agenda. Let us live like the first church did. BE DILIGENT Diligence means working hard, consistently and responsibly. Don't just be gifted—be dependable. 2. PURSUE EXCELLENCE Colossians 3:23 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord...” Give your best even when nobody is watching. Excellence attracts attention. 3. BE CONSISTENT Success is built through small things done faithfully over time. Don't work hard only when people are watching. Consistency turns effort into achievement. 4. DEVELOP YOUR GIFT Proverbs 18:16 (KJV) “A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Your gift may open the door, but diligence helps you stay there. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep growing. 5. DON'T DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS Start where you are. Use what you have. Do it well. Great opportunities often begin with small responsibilities. KEY LESSONS 1.
