*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 28TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*GOD WILL MULTIPLY WHAT YOU PLACE IN HIS HANDS*🌟 📖 Scripture: “And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled.” — Mark 6:41–42 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Little in Your Hands, Much in God's Hands* The feeding of the five thousand is one of the powerful demonstrations of Jesus' compassion and divine provision. The disciples saw the multitude and focused on what they did not have. But Jesus took the little that was available—five loaves and two fish—gave thanks, blessed it, and multiplied it. The miracle teaches us an important lesson: God is not limited by the size of what we have. Sometimes we look at our resources, abilities, finances, knowledge, connections, or opportunities and say, “This is not enough.” But when what we have is surrendered to God, He can use it beyond our natural capacity. Notice also that Jesus gave thanks before the multiplication was fully visible. Gratitude is an expression of faith. It recognizes that God is able to do much with what appears small. Today, don't despise what is already in your hands. Give it to God. Your little may become enough. Your enough may become more than enough. Biblical ministry is not a dead end—it is a chain of faithful hands passing the truth onward, multiplying the Gospel through generations. A torch is not lit to be hidden in a drawer. Its purpose is to be carried forward, lighting the way for others. So it is with the truth of God's Word. We are not spiritual warehouses, storing truth on our shelves while others remain in darkness. What God has entrusted to us was never meant to stop with us. People do not mature overnight. A gardener does not plant a seed and expect fruit by sunset. Do not abandon the seed because the harvest is not visible yet. Teaching, correcting, encouraging, praying, and walking alongside believers may seem slow, but faithful investment shapes lives for eternity. We are called not just to gather listeners but to develop faithful followers of Christ. Before calling us to entrust truth, Christ entrusted it to us. He “𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓). Now, as stewards, we do not keep truth to ourselves but pass it on. This truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒). Paul entrusted it to Timothy, and Timothy to others—the Gospel came to us through faithful witnesses, and it must not stop with us. The call to invest in others is a divine mission impacting generations. Are you ready to pass on faith’s legacy? Do not be a spiritual warehouse storing truth that never leaves your shelves. Your Season of Smallness Will Not Last You may be in a season where it feels as though life has taken more from you than it has given. You may have lost opportunities, relationships, resources, confidence, or even the joy you once carried. But your present condition is not the conclusion of your story. God is still a God of restoration. Jeremiah 30:19 says: «“Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”» What a powerful promise! God says, “I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish.” Where there has been loss, He can bring restoration. Where there has been emptiness, He can bring abundance. Where there have been tears, He can bring thanksgiving. Where you have felt insignificant, He says, “They shall not be small.” Perhaps you have watched others advance while you wonder when your own season will change. Perhaps you have smiled in public while privately asking, “Lord, when will things get better for me?” Don't let your current season define your future. God can rebuild what was broken. He can restore what was lost. He can renew your strength. He can bring joy back to places that have known sorrow. Your story is still being written. The season that made you weep will not last forever. There is a time when God can turn your tears into testimonies and your sorrow into songs of thanksgiving. May the day come when your life becomes such a powerful testimony of God's faithfulness that the sound coming from you is no longer the sound of weeping, but the sound of thanksgiving, joy, and praise. DISCIPLINE, THE MULTIPLIER Key Texts: Proverbs 12:1; First Corinthians 9:25–27; Second Peter 1:5–8 Introduction Many people desire success, greatness, influence, and spiritual power, but few appreciate the force that multiplies all of them: discipline. Talent may open a door, but discipline keeps it open. Opportunity may start a journey, but discipline determines how far you go. Discipline is a multiplier because it takes what you already have and increases its effectiveness. A little knowledge with discipline becomes expertise. A small gift with discipline becomes excellence. A modest income with discipline becomes wealth. A basic prayer life with discipline becomes spiritual authority. God often blesses people, but discipline helps them sustain and multiply the blessing. 1. Discipline Multiplies Potential Every person carries potential, but potential alone changes nothing. A seed has the potential to become a tree, but it must be planted, watered, and protected. In the same way, your gifts require discipline to grow. • Talent without discipline becomes wasted ability. • Intelligence without discipline becomes unrealized promise. • Calling without discipline becomes frustration. Lesson: Discipline converts potential into performance. 2. Discipline Multiplies Time We all receive the same twenty-four hours each day. Discipline Multiplies Finances Financial increase is not only about earning more; it is also about managing well. Disciplined financial habits include: • Budgeting • Saving • Avoiding impulsive spending • Investing wisely • Giving faithfully Many people pray for increase while ignoring the discipline that preserves increase. What discipline preserves, God can multiply. 6. Discipline Multiplies Character Character is formed through repeated choices. Every time you choose truth over lies, purity over compromise, patience over anger, and obedience over convenience, your character is strengthened. Great character is not built in one dramatic moment but in thousands of disciplined decisions. Your habits are shaping your destiny. Biblical Examples Joseph He remained disciplined in Potiphar's house, in prison, and eventually in the palace. His discipline multiplied his favour. Daniel He disciplined his appetite and his prayer life. God multiplied his wisdom and influence. Paul He disciplined his body and his ministry. God multiplied his impact across nations. Jesus He maintained disciplined prayer, obedience, and focus on the Father's will. His life changed the world. Practical Ways to Build Discipline • Start with small commitments. • Create daily routines. • Remove distractions. • Track your progress. • Be accountable to someone. • Keep going even when motivation is low. Remember: Motivation gets you started; discipline keeps you moving. A Powerful Truth Imagine two people with the same talent. • One practices occasionally. • The other practices every day. After one year, the difference is noticeable. After five years, the difference is dramatic. After ten years, they appear to be in different categories. The multiplier was not talent; it was discipline. Conclusion Discipline is not punishment; it is the pathway to multiplication. It multiplies your time, potential, finances, influence, character, and spiritual growth. God has placed gifts inside you, but discipline is the tool that develops them into greatness. Do not despise small daily disciplines. The prayer you consistently pray, the Bible you consistently read, the money you consistently save, the work you consistently do, and the character you consistently maintain are all being multiplied over time. What you do repeatedly, God can increase abundantly. Need to know. The events of 2 Kings 4 take place during a difficult period in Israel's history. The nation was spiritually compromised. Many had turned away from God. And famine had become a recurring reality in the land. Yet even in those dark days, God had preserved a faithful remnant. The story begins when a man arrives from Baal-shalishah. He brings an offering to Elisha: Twenty loaves of barley bread and fresh ears of grain. At first glance, it seems like an ordinary act of generosity. But there is a problem. Elisha is surrounded by a hundred men. And twenty barley loaves are nowhere near enough to feed them. Barley was the bread of the poor. This was not a feast. This was a small gift in the face of a great need. Humanly speaking, the math did not work. The servant immediately recognized the impossibility of the situation. He asked: "How can I set this before a hundred men?" (2 Kings 4:43, ESV) It is an honest question. The kind of question we often ask ourselves. How can this salary cover all these expenses? How can this strength carry me through this season? How can this opportunity be enough for what lies ahead? How can this little become sufficient? The servant looked at the bread. Elisha looked at God. And that changed everything. Elisha replied: "Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, 'They shall eat and have some left.'" (2 Kings 4:43, ESV) Notice what happened. The miracle did not begin with abundance. It began with a promise. Before there was multiplication, there was the Word of God. Before there were leftovers, there was trust in what God had spoken. The servant saw limitation. Elisha saw provision. The servant calculated resources. Elisha trusted the Lord. So the bread was distributed. And Scripture records: "And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD." (2 Kings 4:44, ESV) Not only was there enough. There was more than enough. Because God's provision is often greater than our expectations. The miracle was never about bread. It was about the God who stands behind His Word. A God who is not limited by what is in our hands. A God who specializes in taking what appears insufficient and making it sufficient. A God who can do more with our little than we can do with our much. Many of us are living in the servant's question. We look at our resources. Our finances. Our abilities. Our future. And we quietly wonder: "How can this possibly be enough?" But this passage invites us to look beyond the bread. Beyond the numbers. Beyond the circumstances. And to listen for the voice of God. Because throughout Scripture, God's people repeatedly discover the same truth: What is impossible in human calculations becomes possible in God's hands. The widow saw a little oil. God saw provision. Moses saw a sea. God saw a pathway. The disciples saw five loaves and two fish. Jesus saw a multitude that would be fed. And Elisha saw twenty loaves. God saw abundance. Perhaps today your greatest need is not more resources. Perhaps it is a greater confidence in the God who provides them. Because the same God who fed a hundred men with twenty loaves has not changed. And sometimes the greatest miracle is not that God gives us more. It is that He teaches us that He is enough. Psalm 46:9 (KJV) BIBLE READING: JOHN 2:1-11 1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. MESSAGE: Today, I will discuss marital burdens as another category of burdens. Satan hates everything God has created, including the institution of marriage. This is why he always tries to disrupt the holy matrimony between a man and a woman. Sometimes, he focuses on keeping a man and a woman from ever getting married, and at other times, he visits a husband and his wife with different problems that will keep them from enjoying peace and rest in their home. Today's Bible reading tells us about a wedding in Cana of Galilee. The bridegroom must have thought that everything that was needed for the wedding had been provided. However, they suddenly ran out of wine. I am sure that they felt ashamed until the Almighty God intervened. (1 Samuel 1:1-20) tells us the story of Hannah, who was barren. Her adversary mocked her daily, and as a result, her life became unbearable. She didn't plan to be barren, but barrenness came nonetheless, and there was nothing she could do about it. The Burden Bearer stepped into her situation, however, and she gave birth to six children, among whom was the renowned prophet, Samuel. Sarah was also under the yoke of barrenness until the Burden Bearer visited her and her husband in Genesis 18:1-6. Before the Burden Bearer intervened in their marital situation, Sarah had been barren for decades, which was why she laughed when she heard that she would give birth to a son the following year. If you have been looking for the fruit of the womb and have lost hope that you will ever carry your own child, I want you to know that the Burden Bearer is also the hope of the hopeless, and He will surprise you. In the name that is above every other name, I decree that every barren woman who is reading this devotional will sing for joy soon. Beloved, there is no marital challenge that the power of God cannot subdue. The Lord can command peace to reign where there is chaos and disunity, and He can still the storm in any marriage. If you are married and are currently experiencing any storm in your marriage, I pray that the Burden Bearer will step into your marriage now and cause you to sing a new song, in Jesus' name. Also, if you are of marriageable age and are yet to be married, I decree that the Almighty God will settle you maritally with a godly spouse, in Jesus' name. From Mourning to Multiplication Jeremiah 30:19 (NKJV) "Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small." Jeremiah 30 is a chapter of hope. God was speaking to a people who had experienced captivity, loss, and discouragement. Their present circumstances did not look promising, but God declared that their future would not be defined by their pain. He promised restoration. Notice the progression in God's promise. First, thanksgiving replaces sorrow. Before God changes circumstances, He often changes hearts. The people who once wept would become a people of praise. Thanksgiving is one of the first signs that restoration has begun. Second, God says, "I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish." What the enemy tried to reduce, God promised to increase. This multiplication was not only about numbers but also about influence, strength, opportunities, and fruitfulness. God's blessing always overcomes the losses of the past. Third, God declares, "I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small." The people who had been humiliated would receive honor. Those who had been overlooked would become significant again. God's restoration does more than return what was lost—it brings His glory into our lives. This promise finds its fullest expression in Christ. Through Jesus, God restores broken lives, gives us a new identity, fills our mouths with praise, and makes us fruitful for His kingdom. Whatever season of loss you may be facing today, remember that God's final word is not diminishment but restoration. Do not allow your present circumstances to convince you that your future is small. God's plans for His children are filled with hope. He is still able to turn mourning into joy, scarcity into abundance, and shame into honor. Reflection: Is thanksgiving flowing from your heart even while you wait for God's restoration? In what area of your life do you need to trust God for multiplication instead of diminishment? How can you live today as someone who believes God's promises are greater than your present circumstances? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the God of restoration. Thank You for turning sorrow into thanksgiving and despair into joy. Where I have experienced loss, bring Your multiplication. Where I have felt insignificant, reveal Your glory in my life. Help me to trust Your promises even when I cannot yet see their fulfillment. Let my life be filled with praise, fruitfulness, and the honor that comes from walking with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
