ARE YOU REALLY FIGHTING PORNOGRAPHY—OR NEGOTIATING WITH IT?
A Christian Call to Declare War on Sexual Sin

There comes a point in every Christian’s battle with pornography when we need to stop asking, “How can I manage this temptation?”

And start asking:

“How badly do I want to be free?”

Because pornography is not harmless entertainment.

It is not merely a private weakness.

It is not something Christians should simply learn to “live with.”

It is a temptation that can become an enslaving pattern of lust, fantasy, secrecy and sin. It can consume the imagination, corrupt the way we see other people, damage marriages and relationships, steal time, weaken prayer, and draw the heart away from the purity to which Christ has called His people.

And if you are a Christian who is fighting pornography, you need to understand something:

You are in a fight.

The question is whether you are actually fighting.

Or whether you are negotiating.

STOP NEGOTIATING WITH TEMPTATION

One of the greatest mistakes we make with temptation is giving it a conversation.

“I’ll just look for a minute.”

“I won’t go any further.”

“I’ve been good for two weeks.”

“This isn’t really pornography.”

“Nobody knows.”

“God will forgive me.”

That isn’t resistance.

That’s negotiation.

And Scripture doesn’t tell us to negotiate with sexual temptation.

It tells us to flee.

“Flee fornication.”

— 1 Corinthians 6:18

Paul told Timothy:

“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

— 2 Timothy 2:22

Notice the word:

FLEE.

Not debate.

Not analyze.

Not negotiate.

Not see how close you can get without crossing the line.

Run.

Joseph understood this.

When Potiphar’s wife attempted to seduce him, Joseph didn’t stay around to see how strong his resistance would be.

When she grabbed him, Scripture says:

“And he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.”

— Genesis 39:12

Joseph ran.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is close the laptop.

Sometimes it’s putting the phone down.

Sometimes it’s getting out of bed.

Sometimes it’s leaving the room.

Sometimes it’s calling your accountability partner.

Sometimes it’s getting on your knees.

FLEE.

JESUS DIDN’T NEGOTIATE WITH SATAN

Look at Jesus in the wilderness.

Satan came when Jesus was physically weakened after fasting forty days and forty nights.

The devil tempted Him.

And what did Jesus do?

He didn’t engage Satan in a philosophical debate.

He didn’t entertain the temptation.

He didn’t say, “Let me think about that.”

He said:

“It is written.”

When Satan tempted Him to turn stones into bread, Jesus answered:

“It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

— Matthew 4:4

When Satan twisted Scripture to tempt Him again, Jesus answered:

“It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

— Matthew 4:7

And when Satan offered Him the kingdoms of the world:

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

— Matthew 4:10

Three temptations.

Three answers rooted in Scripture.

“It is written.”

That’s your model.

When pornography comes knocking, you need something stronger than emotion.

Something stronger than willpower.

Something stronger than the promise that “this will make you feel good.”

You need the Word of God.

David said:

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

— Psalm 119:11

Don’t wait until you’re already looking at pornography to start thinking about holiness.

Put the Word in your heart now.

DECLARE WAR

Let’s be blunt.

If pornography has become a recurring sin in your life, declare war on it.

Don’t declare war on it tomorrow.

Don’t declare war on it after one more failure.

Declare war today.

Jesus used deliberately shocking language when describing how seriously we must treat sin:

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:29

And:

“And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:30

Jesus is not commanding literal self-mutilation.

He is teaching us that we must deal with sin radically and decisively.

If your smartphone repeatedly becomes the doorway to pornography, change how you use your smartphone.

If being alone late at night repeatedly leads you into sin, change your nighttime routine.

If particular websites, social-media accounts, or applications trigger lust, eliminate them.

If unrestricted internet access is destroying your purity, install safeguards.

If secrecy is feeding the problem, bring it into the light.

Stop protecting your access to the sin you claim you want to defeat.

ARE YOU REALLY STRUGGLING?

This is where the question gets uncomfortable.

A Christian can struggle with sin.

Paul describes the conflict between flesh and Spirit:

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other…”

— Galatians 5:17

There is a battle.

There is resistance.

There is conflict.

But ask yourself:

Are you actually resisting?

Are you praying?

Are you fasting?

Are you reading Scripture?

Do you have an accountability partner?

Have you told another mature Christian about the problem?

Have you installed accountability software?

Have you removed private access to pornography?

Have you changed your routines?

Have you identified your triggers?

Have you stopped following accounts that stimulate lust?

Have you changed the environment in which you repeatedly fall?

Are you seeking pastoral help?

Are you willing to seek professional Christian counseling when appropriate?

Are you willing to seek a biblically grounded deliverance ministry if you believe you are dealing with entrenched spiritual bondage?

Or are you simply saying:

“I really want to stop”

while keeping every door open?

That’s not war.

That’s a weak attempt to negotiate a ceasefire with your own sin.

Commit.

MAKE PORNOGRAPHY YOUR ENEMY

Paul says:

“Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God…”

— Romans 6:13

You have a choice about what you present yourself to.

What are you yielding?

Your eyes?

Your imagination?

Your phone?

Your computer?

Your time?

Your sexuality?

Your mind?

Your body?

Who gets them?

Pornography wants them.

Christ wants them.

Choose.

DON’T BE IDLE

Idleness can become an open door.

If you are constantly alone, bored, scrolling, lying in bed, wandering through the internet, and allowing your mind to drift wherever it wants, don’t be surprised when temptation finds you.

Get busy.

Work.

Exercise.

Study.

Read.

Serve.

Pray.

Go outside.

Spend time with people.

Serve the church.

Build something.

Learn something.

Pursue your calling.

Paul instructed believers:

“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands…”

— 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Don’t give temptation an empty house to occupy.

BRING THE BATTLE INTO THE LIGHT

Pornography thrives in secrecy.

That is why accountability matters.

James says:

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.”

— James 5:16

Find someone trustworthy.

A mature Christian man.

A pastor.

A mentor.

An accountability partner.

Someone who will actually ask you the hard questions.

Not:

“Everything okay?”

But:

“Have you looked at pornography?”

“Have you intentionally searched for sexually explicit material?”

“Are there apps on your phone that you are hiding?”

“Have you been honest with me?”

You don’t need someone who merely makes you feel better.

You need someone who loves you enough to tell you the truth.

SAFEGUARD YOUR DEVICES

Let’s stop pretending that technology is neutral when we know how we are using it.

If your phone is the primary gateway to your sin, safeguard your phone.

If your laptop is the gateway, safeguard your laptop.

Use reputable filtering and accountability tools.

Remove applications that repeatedly lead you into temptation.

Don’t sleep with an unrestricted device beside your bed if nighttime is when you repeatedly fall.

Don’t keep secret browsers.

Don’t create hidden accounts.

Don’t maintain a private digital world that nobody else knows exists.

Jesus said:

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee…”

— Matthew 5:29

The principle is clear:

Remove the access point.

FAST AND PRAY

There are battles that should drive us to our knees.

Jesus Himself fasted when He entered the wilderness.

Matthew records:

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

— Matthew 4:1

And:

“And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.”

— Matthew 4:2

Fasting isn’t a magic formula.

It doesn’t purchase God’s favor.

But it can become a powerful expression of humility and dependence upon God.

Tell the Lord:

“Jesus, I cannot conquer this in my own strength. I need You.”

Pray when the temptation comes.

Pray before it comes.

Pray when you are strong.

Pray when you are weak.

And believe God.

Paul says:

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful…”

— 1 Corinthians 10:13

And then comes one of the greatest promises in Scripture:

“…but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

— 1 Corinthians 10:13

Look for the escape route.

And when God provides it—

TAKE IT.

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD

You are not merely fighting a website.

You are fighting temptation.

You are fighting lust.

You are fighting deception.

And Scripture describes the Christian life as spiritual warfare.

Paul says:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

— Ephesians 6:10–12

Then he tells us to take:

The belt of truth.

The breastplate of righteousness.

The Gospel of peace.

The shield of faith.

The helmet of salvation.

The sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God.

And:

Prayer.

Pornography can become a powerful instrument of temptation and enslavement.

Don’t underestimate it.

Peter says:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith…”

— 1 Peter 5:8–9

Be sober.

Be vigilant.

Resist.

SEEK DELIVERANCE IF YOU NEED IT

Some Christians experience pornography as an entrenched pattern of bondage that requires more intensive spiritual intervention.

If you believe that describes you, seek a mature, biblically grounded deliverance minister who understands Scripture, repentance, spiritual warfare, accountability, and the finished work of Christ.

One resource used in some Christian settings is Neil Anderson’s Bondage Breaking material.

But understand this carefully:

Your deliverer is not a minister.

Your deliverer is Jesus Christ.

No technique saves you.

No program saves you.

No deliverance minister saves you.

No accountability application saves you.

Jesus saves.

Jesus said:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

— John 8:36

FILL YOURSELF WITH CHRIST

Here’s the part many people miss.

The Christian life isn’t merely about removing pornography.

It’s about filling your life with Christ.

Paul says:

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”

— Ephesians 5:18

Fill your mind with Scripture.

Fill your home with worship.

Fill your day with prayer.

Fill your time with service.

Fill your life with godly relationships.

Fill your heart with the things of God.

Paul tells us:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report… think on these things.”

— Philippians 4:8

The goal isn’t simply:

“I must stop thinking about pornography.”

The goal is:

“I want to think more about Christ.”

TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME

You don’t have to promise God that you’ll never be tempted again.

You don’t have to figure out how you’re going to remain pure for the next thirty years.

Win today.

When tomorrow comes, win tomorrow.

Jesus said:

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”

— Matthew 6:34

Take today seriously.

Today, don’t look.

Today, don’t search.

Today, don’t indulge.

Today, pray.

Today, read the Word.

Today, walk in the Spirit.

Today, keep your eyes on Jesus.

One day at a time.

AND IF YOU FALL—GET BACK UP

This is crucial.

If you fall, Satan will whisper:

“You failed again.”

Then:

“You’re a hypocrite.”

Then:

“You might as well keep going.”

Don’t listen.

Repent.

Confess it.

Get honest.

Tell your accountability partner.

Identify what led to the fall.

Close the door you left open.

And get back up.

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again…”

— Proverbs 24:16

One failure does not mean you should surrender.

A person who falls off a wagon doesn’t say:

“Well, I fell off, so I might as well lie in the road forever.”

Get back on.

Repentance means turning back toward God.

Don’t allow shame to become an excuse for continued sin.

DON’T USE GRACE AS AN EXCUSE

Never say:

“God forgives me, so it doesn’t matter.”

Paul asks:

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid.”

— Romans 6:1–2

Grace is not permission to remain enslaved.

Grace teaches us:

“…denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.”

— Titus 2:12

Christ did not die to make you comfortable in your chains.

He came to set you free.

SO—ARE YOU REALLY FIGHTING?

Here is the question I want you to answer honestly.

Are you really fighting pornography?

Or are you negotiating with it?

Are you praying?

Are you fasting?

Are you in the Word?

Are you accountable?

Are your devices protected?

Are you eliminating your triggers?

Are you fleeing immediately?

Are you seeking help?

Are you willing to confess?

Are you willing to change your habits?

Are you willing to sacrifice convenience for purity?

Are you treating pornography like the serious spiritual threat that it is?

Because you cannot declare war on pornography while secretly maintaining a supply line to it.

You must choose.

You cannot serve Christ and willingly cultivate the sin that is destroying your fellowship with Him.

Jesus said:

“No man can serve two masters…”

— Matthew 6:24

So declare war.

Not against yourself.

Not against your sexuality.

Not against God’s good design for sexual intimacy.

Declare war against lust.

Declare war against pornography.

Declare war against secrecy.

Declare war against compromise.

Declare war against the lies that tell you that you cannot change.

And then—

LOOK TO JESUS.

“…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

— Hebrews 12:1–2

Your hope isn’t your willpower.

Your hope isn’t your perfect record.

Your hope isn’t an accountability application.

Your hope isn’t a deliverance minister.

YOUR HOPE IS JESUS CHRIST.

Submit to God.

Resist the devil.

Flee temptation.

Take the escape route.

Get back up when you fall.

Stay in the Word.

Put on the armour.

And keep your eyes on Jesus.

James gives us the battle cry:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”

— James 4:7–8

SUBMIT.

RESIST.

DRAW NEAR.

And keep fighting.

A PRAYER FOR FREEDOM FROM PORNOGRAPHY AND SIN

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ.

I plead the blood of Jesus over all sin, sickness, temptation, evil, suffering, sexual sin, lust, and pornography.

I reject Satan and all his evil works.

I reject every lie, deception, temptation, bondage, and stronghold that would draw me away from Jesus Christ.

I renounce pornography and sexual impurity.

I repent of every time I have willingly entertained lust, fantasy, pornography, or sexual sin.

Lord Jesus, forgive me.

Cleanse me.

Purify my heart.

Renew my mind.

Strengthen my spirit.

Give me the power to flee temptation rather than negotiate with it.

Give me discernment to recognize temptation before it takes hold.

Give me the courage to close the door, put down the phone, turn away from the screen, and run from whatever would lead me into sin.

I receive Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul as my Lord and Savior.

I surrender my body, my mind, my eyes, my imagination, my sexuality, my desires, my relationships, my future, and my entire life to Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, fill me.

Teach me.

Guide me.

Strengthen me.

Convict me when I begin to wander.

Give me hatred for sin and a greater love for righteousness.

Help me to walk in purity.

Help me to walk in holiness.

Help me to walk in obedience.

Give me strength to fast.

Give me strength to pray.

Give me strength to stay in Your Word.

Give me wisdom to establish safeguards and accountability.

Give me humility to ask for help when I need it.

When temptation comes, remind me that You have provided a way of escape.

When I am weak, remind me that Your grace is sufficient.

When I fall, give me the humility to repent and the courage to rise again.

I declare that pornography will not be my master.

Lust will not be my master.

Sin will not be my master.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Master.

I submit myself to God.

I resist the devil.

I draw near to Jesus Christ.

And I place my complete faith and trust in Him.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

Divine intervention refers to when a divine force directly influences events in the human world, either to guide, protect, punish, or releases. - Exodus 23:20.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” — Isaiah 60:1
1. “ARISE”
God is calling you to get up from every position of limitation, discouragement, delay, and spiritual weakness.
“Arise” means:
Get up and move forward.
Refuse to remain where you have been.
Take your spiritual life seriously.
Step into what God has called you to do.
Rise above fear and discouragement.
Sometimes God has already provided the opportunity, but we must arise and respond.
2. “SHINE”
God did not say, “try to shine.” He said “shine.”
Your light represents the life of God in you—your faith, character, testimony, gifts, calling, and good works.
Jesus said:
“Ye are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14
Your shining is not about making yourself famous. It is about allowing God’s glory in your life to become visible to others.
3. “FOR THY LIGHT IS COME”
This is very important.
God says your light has come. It speaks of a season where darkness does not have the final word.
What was hidden can become visible.
What was delayed can begin to move.
What looked impossible can receive divine intervention.
But notice: the command to arise comes together with the declaration that the light has come.
In other words: “Get up, because what you have been waiting for is beginning to manifest.”
4. “THE GLORY OF THE LORD IS RISEN UPON THEE”
This is deeper than material blessing.
The glory of God speaks of His presence, power, favor, and manifestation upon your life.
When God's glory rests upon someone:
Their life becomes a testimony.
Their gifts can make room for them.
Their ministry can impact others.
People can see God's work in their life.
They can become a blessing to others.
Look at Isaiah 60:2–3
The next verses explain Isaiah 60:1:
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
Notice the contrast:
Darkness → but the Lord arises.
Confusion → but His glory appears.
Your rising → people are drawn to the light.
So Isaiah 60 is not simply saying, “You will be blessed.” It is saying God wants His glory to become visible through your life so that your life can become a source of light to others.

Prayer from Isaiah 60:1
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive Your word: “Arise, shine.” Every power keeping me down, let it be broken in Jesus' name. Let every darkness around my life give way to the light of God. Let Your glory rise upon me. Let my gifts, calling, ministry, family, and destiny reflect Your glory. Open doors that no man can shut. Let my life become a testimony and a blessing to others. I arise from every limitation, I arise from discouragement, I arise from delay, and I arise into the purpose of God for my life. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Is There Such a Thing as Fate?

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Is there such a thing as fate, or is fate simply the catch-all for what you can't explain? The Merriam-Webster New Collegiate Dictionary defines fate as "that which remains destined to happen." Our English word comes from the Latin fatum which means something ordained from the gods. It grew out of a story from Greek mythology which involves three goddesses. The first, Clotho, or the Spinner, was supposed to weave the thread of life while the second, Lachesis, or the Disposer of Lots, determined the length of the thread. It was the third in the trilogy, Atropos, or the Inflexible One, who allegedly cut the thread of life causing fate to strike its terrible blow.

Today it's common for people to blame fate for all kinds of things over which we have no control, whether it is a bolt of lightning or a car accident that you couldn't help. Is there such a thing as fate or chance? If there is a sovereign God who directs in the affairs of mankind, fate isn't a viable option.

The Bible, and in particular the writings of the New Testament, tells us that God intervenes in the affairs of humanity, that all history is moving towards a fixed point of reference when time is absorbed by eternity and life as we know it now will come to an end. But what about our personal affairs? How emphatic, how direct is God's intervention in what happens day-in and day-out?

First, the New Testament says it is not Atropos or fate who cuts the thread of your life. Hebrews 9:27 says, "It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment." Paul addressed the issue of fate for God's child when he wrote to the Ephesians saying that God "works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will," (Ephesians 1:11). The book of Romans says very clearly there is no fate for the child of God who walks according to his Father's will. Remember those comforting words: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).

Sounds good, right? But does it really translate when things go bad? Is God likewise responsible for wrong things as well as good? When something happens which doesn't quite fit into the scheme of things as I think it should, I ask three questions:

Question #1: "Is Satan opposing me?" And there are times when clearly he hinders the work of God. Now, if Satan hindered Paul from coming to the Thessalonians when he wanted to do so, why shouldn't he be able to hinder us today?

Question #2: "Has God allowed this difficulty as discipline in my life to bring me back into his will?" Make a note of Proverbs 3 and Hebrews 12, which both tell us it is because God loves us, He disciplines us just as a father does his own children.

Question #3: "Is this simply a combination of circumstances for which there isn't any particular deep spiritual significance - say, a flat tire or an appliance that has worn out?" Naturally, these irritations try us, but I can't really see the intervention of either God or the devil in some things, though God can use everything to shape us and to bring our lives into conformity with His plan.

Friend, how did you answer that question, "Is there such a thing as fate, or luck, or chance?" For God's children, the will of the Father rules all of that out. And that is a fact, because we have a Heavenly Father who guides in the affairs of His children.

Resource Reading: Romans 8:19-39

THE STRANGERS SHALL FADE AWAY
Let’s dive into the meaning behind Psalm 18:45, which states, “The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.” This verse paints a vivid picture of how God can turn the tables. David faced enemies who seemed invincible, but when God stepped in, their confidence began to crumble. The same God who rescued David is more than capable of shifting the atmosphere in your life. What seems powerful today can lose its grip when God fights for you.
The phrase “shall fade away” serves as a reminder that opposition isn’t permanent. People might rise against you, tough situations may challenge you, and foes may seem to have the upper hand, but God has the power to dismantle their plans and confidence. The outcome of the battle isn’t dictated by what you see right now; it’s determined by the God who holds the ultimate authority. When God takes charge, the enemy’s strength starts to diminish.
Additionally, the verse mentions they “shall be afraid.” This signifies a divine turnaround: those who sought to instill fear in David ended up being the ones who were afraid. God can flip situations in ways you might never have imagined. What once made you anxious can transform into your story of triumph. So, don’t let fear dictate your life when facing opposition. Place your trust in God, for He is greater than any challenge that stands in your way.
The phrase “out of their close places” implies that even the safest hiding spots can’t shield those who oppose God’s plans. What may be concealed from you is never hidden from God. You don’t have to uncover every secret scheme or battle every hidden conflict on your own. God sees what you can’t, and He’s fully capable of revealing, thwarting, and overturning anything that goes against His will. Trust Him to take care of what’s beyond your control.
The heart of Psalm 18:45 reveals a powerful truth: divine intervention and reversal. You might start your fight feeling scared, overwhelmed, and unsure, but that doesn’t mean you have to end it that way. God has the ability to transform your fear into bravery, your struggles into stories of triumph, and your battles into victories. Remember, the enemy doesn’t get the last say—God does. So, stand strong, keep your faith, and trust in the Lord, because the same God who rescued David is more than capable of delivering you today.

This week and beyond God will separate your Abraham from every Lot that is causing setbacks to his progress in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your life shall experience divine peace, divine progress, divine intervention and divine total transformation in the name of Jesus Christ.

Throughout the remaining days of this month and beyond you shall be moving from glory to glory, breakthrough to breakthrough and your slogan shall be forward ever backward never in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ Amen.

*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - WEDNESDAY, 26TH AUGUST, 2026.*

*HOPE IN THE LORD*

Scripture:
“Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.” — Psalm 130:7 (KJV).

*Reflection – Our Hope Is in the Lord*

Psalm 130 is a cry from the depths, yet it moves from distress to confident hope. The Psalmist reminds God's people that their hope should not be placed in circumstances, people, possessions, or human strength, but in the Lord.

Why can we hope in God?

Because mercy belongs to Him, and with Him there is plenteous redemption.

God does not merely have enough mercy for a few situations. His mercy is abundant. He is able to redeem what appears lost, restore what has been broken, and bring hope into situations that seem beyond recovery.

Today, whatever you are facing, don't allow your circumstances to determine the level of your hope. Put your hope in the Lord.

Your situation may change. People may disappoint you. Plans may fail. But God's mercy remains, and His power to redeem is unlimited.

*Prophetic Declaration:*

Today, I declare that my hope is in the Lord. I will not put my ultimate confidence in circumstances, human beings, possessions, or my own strength. My trust is in the Almighty God.

I declare that the abundant mercy of God speaks over my life today. Where I have fallen short, may His mercy restore me. Where I have made mistakes, may His grace teach and redirect me. Where I have experienced disappointment, may His mercy renew my hope.

I proclaim plenteous redemption over every area of my life. May the Lord redeem lost opportunities, wasted seasons, broken dreams, difficult experiences, and every situation that needs His restoring hand.

I declare redemption over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny. May God bring restoration according to His perfect will.

Today, I refuse to surrender to hopelessness. I will not allow yesterday's disappointment to determine tomorrow's expectation. I believe that God is still working, even when I cannot see the full picture.

I declare that every season of waiting shall produce spiritual maturity, deeper faith, wisdom, and greater dependence upon God.

I proclaim that the Lord shall renew my strength. When I am tired, He shall sustain me. When I am discouraged, He shall lift me. When I am confused, He shall guide me. When I am weak, He shall be my strength.

Today, I declare that God's mercy shall follow me. His goodness shall surround me, and His favor shall accompany me wherever He sends me.

I declare that no failure, disappointment, delay, or difficult season shall have the final word concerning my life. God's redemption is greater than my past, and His mercy is greater than my mistakes.

I receive grace to wait patiently for God's intervention. I will not force doors He has not opened, and I will not abandon my faith because the answer has not yet arrived.

My hope shall remain alive because the Lord is faithful.

I hope in the Lord.
I trust in His mercy.
I believe in His redemption.
I wait for His timing.
I expect His faithfulness.

*Action Steps for today:*
Begin with thanksgiving: Thank God for His mercy and unfailing faithfulness.

Read Psalm 130: Meditate on how the Psalm moves from crying out to God toward confident hope.

Declare: “My hope is in the Lord, for with Him there is mercy and abundant redemption.”

Surrender your past: Give God your regrets, failures, disappointments, and painful experiences. Trust Him to redeem your story.

Pray for someone who has lost hope: Ask God to strengthen someone who is going through a difficult season.

Practice patience: If you are waiting for an answer from God, refuse to allow anxiety to make you abandon faith.

End with praise: Thank God in advance for His mercy, redemption, and faithfulness.

*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father,
Thank You because You are my hope and my Redeemer. I thank You because Your mercy is abundant and Your power to redeem is beyond measure.

Lord, I place my complete hope in You today. Forgive me for the times I have allowed circumstances to become greater than my confidence in You.

Let Your mercy speak over every area of my life. Where I have made mistakes, restore me. Where I have experienced loss, comfort me. Where I have become discouraged, renew my hope.

Redeem my time, my opportunities, my efforts, my relationships, and every good purpose You have ordained for my life.

Remember my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and destiny. Let Your perfect will be accomplished in each area.

Give me patience while I wait for Your intervention. Help me trust You even when I cannot understand what You are doing.

Lord, let my life become a testimony of Your abundant mercy and redemption. Turn difficult seasons into testimonies and use every experience to draw me closer to You.

My hope is in You, Lord. I will trust Your mercy, wait for Your timing, and believe in Your redemption.

May the Lord fill your heart with unshakable hope today. May His abundant mercy speak over you, your household, and everything that concerns you.

May God redeem every wasted season, restore every good thing according to His will, and transform every difficult experience into a testimony of His faithfulness.

May He strengthen you while you wait, guide you when you are uncertain, and give you peace when circumstances are beyond your control.

May your family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny experience God's redeeming power.

Your hope will not die.
God's mercy will sustain you.

And the Lᴏʀᴅ said: I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt.

Exodus 3:7

It is noteworthy how people often turn to the Bible when circumstances become dire. A politician refers to the Covid-19 pandemic as a “plague of biblical proportions”. Confronted with extreme criticism, he deflects it by saying, “I am neither the Pharaoh who oppressed, nor the Moses who liberated.”

Let’s rewind to ancient Egypt. The people of Israel groan under the oppression of Pharaoh. The situation becomes unbearable. The Israelites cry out to God and plead for deliverance. God hears and calls Moses to lead the people out of Egypt. But Pharaoh refuses to let them go; he is unwilling to relinquish his cheap labour force under any circumstances. So, God intervenes: He sends ten successive plagues upon Egypt, each worse than the last. That’s the biblical account in brief.

Isn’t it striking that the politician didn’t mention God? Yet God played the pivotal role in the plagues in Egypt. It wasn’t Moses who saved the people but only God, through His mighty intervention.

So, let’s ask ourselves:

In times of distress, do we still call upon God or consciously ignore Him?Do we recognise that without God, we are lost?Do we come to the Saviour God who wants to save us?

Back then, God sought to change Pharaoh’s mindset through the plagues. Even today, God sometimes speaks very seriously to us. What do we do? Do we harden ours hearts like Pharaoh? Or do we open ourselves to God, confess our sins to Him, and gratefully accept His offer of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ?

TOPIC: O LORD, ARISE AND AVENGE ME FROM EVERY INJUSTICE

Bible Reading: Psalm 72:12-14, Luke 18:1-8, Psalm 35:1-10, Romans 12:19

1. Father, let Dragnet Gospel Int'l Ministries be defended from every injustice, oppression, false accusation, and unjust treatment directed against this commission, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 54:17)

2. O Lord, arise and defend every member of Dragnet Gospel Int'l Ministries who is weak, vulnerable, or facing injustice. Let Your mercy and favour speak for them, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 72:12-14)

3. Let God avenge every injustice I have suffered because I lacked the strength, resources, connections, or influence to defend myself, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 72:14)

4. O Lord, arise and plead my cause against everyone who has oppressed me because they considered me helpless, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 35:1)

5. Every advantage taken against me because of my weakness or lack of human support, let divine justice answer for me, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 82:3-4)

6. Father, remember every situation where I was treated unjustly and could not defend myself. Let Your mercy speak and let righteous judgment prevail, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 9:9)

7. Every person who has exploited my vulnerability, abused my trust, or taken what rightfully belongs to me, let God arise and settle the matter according to His righteousness, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 10:14)


8. O Lord, arise and restore whatever I lost through unjust treatment, oppression, deception, or exploitation, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Joel 2:25)


9. Every evil verdict, false accusation, or unjust judgment raised against me, be overturned by the righteous judgment of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 54:17)


10. Father, let Your favour speak for me where my voice was ignored and let Your power defend me where human strength failed me, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 5:12)


11. Every wicked counsel formed against me because my adversaries believed I had no one to defend me, be scattered by the power of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 8:10)


12. O Lord, arise as my Advocate and Defender. Fight the battles I could not fight and answer the accusations I could not answer, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Exodus 14:14)

16. O Lord, let those who have wronged me encounter Your conviction and give them no peace until they turn away from injustice, in the name of Jesus Christ. (John 16:8)

17. I refuse to repay evil with evil. I commit every unresolved injustice into the hands of God and trust Him to avenge me according to His righteousness, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:19)

18. Father, turn every injustice I have suffered into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let my shame become honour, my loss become restoration, and my weakness become a testimony of Your strength, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Joel 2:25)

19. O Lord, preserve and prosper every current supporter and partner of Dragnet Gospel Int'l Ministries. Defend them from injustice, oppression, exploitation, and every attack against their legitimate interests, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 20:1-4)

20. Father, let Dragnet Gospel Int'l Ministries never lack the resources needed to preach the gospel, win souls, and advance Your kingdom. Defend this work from injustice and every opposition against its divine assignment, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:19)

21. O Lord, arise and avenge every injustice I have suffered because I lacked strength, resources, connections, or influence to defend myself. Let every oppressor be restrained, every wrong be addressed by Your righteous judgment, and every loss that can be restored be restored. Let Your mercy, favour, and justice speak for me, in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 72:12-14; Luke 18:7-8)

*ONLY BELIEVE!*

Scripture:
“And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.” — Mark 5:37 (KJV)

*Reflection – Stay Close to Jesus When Faith Is Tested*

Mark 5:37 comes in the middle of the story of Jairus, whose daughter was critically ill. Jairus had come to Jesus believing that Jesus could help. But as they journeyed, the situation became even worse.

Jesus strategically chose only Peter, James, and John among the twelve disciples to accompany Him as He continued toward Jairus' house. You may what to ask why the three among the twelve? This Show us that even among the elected or selected there are favourites and disciples who are more closer to Jesus than the others. Are you among the inner circle of Jesus?

Immediately after this, Jesus would challenge the atmosphere of fear and unbelief with the powerful command:

“Be not afraid, only believe.” — Mark 5:36

The lesson is powerful: when circumstances become more difficult, stay close to Jesus.

There will be moments when circumstances appear to contradict what you have prayed for. There may be voices telling you that your situation is finished, your opportunity is gone, or your dream is impossible.

But Jesus is still present.

Today, choose carefully whose voice you listen to. Stay close to Christ. Let faith speak louder than fear, and let God's promises speak louder than discouraging reports.

*Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that I will remain close to Jesus Christ regardless of what happens around me. I shall not allow fear, bad reports, disappointment, or the opinions of people to separate me from my faith in God.

I declare that when circumstances become difficult, my faith shall become stronger. When the situation appears impossible, I will remember that nothing is impossible with God.

I reject every voice of hopelessness, fear, confusion, and discouragement that tells me to give up. I choose to listen to the voice of Jesus, who calls me to trust Him.

Today, I declare faith over fear in every area of my life.

I proclaim faith over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, finances, plans, and destiny. May God's power and wisdom guide me through every difficult circumstance.

I declare that no negative report shall become the final report over my life. I will not make permanent conclusions based on temporary circumstances.

Today, I receive grace to wait for God's intervention even when I cannot see how He will make a way. I shall not run ahead of God because of fear, and I shall not abandon my faith because of delay.

I declare that every situation that appears beyond human possibility is placed in the hands of the God who has ultimate authority over life and every circumstance.

I proclaim that the Lord shall give me discernment concerning the voices I allow into my heart. May He surround me with people who strengthen my faith, encourage my walk with Christ, and speak wisdom into my life.

I declare that my faith shall not be based merely on what I see. I shall walk by faith and trust God's character even when I do not understand His process.

Today, I refuse to surrender my hope. I refuse to call dead what God has not called dead. I refuse to give up on what God has instructed me to continue pursuing.

I will not be afraid.
I will believe.
I will remain close to Jesus.
I will trust God's timing.
I will wait for His word to prevail.

*Action Steps for today:*
Begin with faith: Thank God before you present your requests, remembering that He is greater than every challenge.

Read Mark 5:21–43: Pay particular attention to Jesus' words to Jairus in verse 36: “Be not afraid, only believe.”

Declare: “I will not be afraid. I will believe. Jesus has the final word over my situation.”

Guard your atmosphere: Be intentional about the voices, conversations, and content you allow to influence your faith.

Surrender one impossible situation: Give it completely to Jesus and refuse to carry it through anxiety.

Take one step of faith: Continue doing what God has placed in your hands, even if the final result is not yet visible.

End with worship: Thank God for His presence and trust Him with the outcome.

*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father,
Thank You because You are greater than every situation I may face.

Lord Jesus, help me to remain close to You when my faith is tested. When I hear discouraging reports, remind me of Your promises. When fear rises, remind me of Your power.

Deliver me from the fear of bad news, delay, disappointment, and uncertainty. Give me grace to believe You even when circumstances appear impossible.

I surrender my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, plans, and future into Your hands.

Lord, give me wisdom to know which voices to listen to and which ones to reject. Surround me with people who strengthen my faith and help me remain focused on You.

Where I am tempted to give up, give me strength to continue. Where I am tempted to fear, give me courage to believe.

Help me not to judge Your ability by my circumstances. Teach me to trust Your wisdom, Your power, and Your timing.

I choose faith over fear. I choose hope over despair. I choose to remain close to Jesus.

Let Your perfect will be accomplished in my life.
