📘 Daily Devotion — September 2 | Acts 23:24 (NKJV) 💯 God Makes a Way of Escape Paul was in a dangerous situation. A group of men had formed a plot against him and were determined to kill him. Yet God was already working behind the scenes to protect His servant. The Roman commander ordered that Paul be taken safely to Felix the governor. Paul did not have control over everything happening around him, but God used circumstances and people in authority to provide a way for him to continue his journey. This passage reminds us that God is able to protect us in ways we may not expect. Sometimes His protection comes through people, circumstances, opportunities, or doors that He opens at exactly the right time. Paul's life teaches us that being faithful to God does not mean we will never face danger or difficulty. It means that our lives remain in God's hands. When He has given us a purpose, He is able to make a way for us to continue fulfilling it. There may be situations in our lives where we cannot see a solution. We may feel surrounded by problems or uncertain about what will happen next. But God sees what we cannot see. We can trust Him to guide our steps and provide what is necessary in His perfect timing. Rather than allowing fear to control us, we can place our confidence in the God who is able to make a way where there seems to be none. Now I Know Why By Idalia Dinzey September 1st, 2026 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” John 12:34 Can TV programs really affect the mind of a child and change the course of their life? I can answer that question with an experience from my childhood. I was somewhere between seven and eight years of age, and it was Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Puerto Rico. I was home with my three brothers as we watched a movie on TV called, Jesus of Nazareth. I remember watching the portrayal of Jesus’ life —how He became man to help us learn about our Heavenly Father, and how He was betrayed by one of His disciples who delivered Him into His enemy’s hands. Judas believed and knew that Jesus could put a stop to everything and get away…but He didn’t! As I watched, the movie took a painful turn, and suddenly, Jesus was being beaten! It was so heartbreaking that I ran to the screen and hugged it! “Oh Jesus, why?” I wept, even as my brothers yelled at me to get out of the way so they could watch. They didn’t understand what was happening inside of me. I ran to my room and sobbed into my pillow, “Why did you let them do that to you Jesus? Why? Why? Why?” I still cry as I read, hear, or watch anything about Christ’s ultimate sacrifice; but I no longer ask why, because I know why. And I’ve never let go that memory, and for a good reason. What I watched decades ago has remained in my heart and fueled my desire to teach our children about their salvation at an early age. I thank God for a mother who brought us up to love the Lord and be of service to Him. And I certainly never thought I’d be working with a television network that explains the “why’s” of Jesus to children, as well as adults. I know there are children whose parents don’t speak English, Spanish or Portuguese – the languages on 3ABN English and 3ABN Latino networks. But they are increasingly being taught English as an international language, and we shouldn’t underestimate the influence they’ll have as they translate our programs for their families. Television and radio can change lives for the good, and Bible truths bring about a sure change for the best! I’m so thankful for all who take a stand in supporting Jesus’ coming to our world to draw all men to Him. Our children and our homes have been blessed because of you!

September 1 🌿 “WHEN I CANNOT SEE HIS HAND” WHEN I CHOOSE TO REMEMBER 📖 Lamentations 3:21–23 (LLV) — “Yet this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD's faithful love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” There are times when hope seems to arrive naturally. Something changes. A prayer is answered. A door opens. The clouds begin to clear. And suddenly hope feels possible again. That is not what happens here. Jeremiah is surrounded by devastation. The city he loves has fallen. His people are suffering. His heart is filled with grief. Nothing around him has suddenly become better. Then Jeremiah says: “This I call to mind.” He makes a choice. He remembers something. And because of what he remembers, hope begins to return. “Therefore I have hope.” Sometimes hope begins not when our circumstances change, but when we remember what our circumstances have caused us to forget. God is still faithful. His mercy has not run out. His love has not disappeared. His character has not changed. Jeremiah cannot yet look around and say, “Everything is well.” But he can look toward God and say, “Great is Your faithfulness.” That is a very different kind of hope. It does not deny the ruins. It does not pretend the pain is small. It simply refuses to allow the ruins to tell the entire story. Then Jeremiah gives us one of Scripture's most beautiful images: “His mercies are new every morning.” Yesterday may have been difficult. Yesterday may contain things we cannot change. Yesterday may have exhausted every bit of strength we thought we had. But morning comes. And when it does, God's mercy has not been used up by yesterday. There is mercy for this morning. Grace for this day. Strength for this burden. Faithfulness for this step. Perhaps that is why remembering matters so much. When we cannot see God's hand in what is happening now, we can remember where we have seen it before. We remember the prayers He answered. The strength He supplied. The doors He opened. The times He carried us through something we once thought we could never endure. And memory becomes a bridge between yesterday's faithfulness and today's hope. Nothing around Jeremiah had changed. But he remembered something greater than what surrounded him. God had not changed. A new beginning sometimes begins by remembering: when I cannot see what God is doing today, I can remember who He has always been. Reflection: What evidence of God's faithfulness from yesterday do I need to deliberately remember today? Prayer: Heavenly Father, when difficulty fills my vision, I can easily forget the many ways You have already been faithful. Help me call them to mind. Remind me of Your mercy, Your provision, Your strength, and Your presence through every season behind me. Thank You that yesterday cannot exhaust the mercy You have prepared for today. Whatever surrounds me this morning, let me remember and say with Jeremiah: “Great is Your faithfulness.” In Jesus' name, Amen.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your spouse is the gift of being understood. Sometimes we are quick to judge because we see the behaviour but don't know the story behind it. Your husband may come home unusually quiet. Your wife may seem distant. One of you may become impatient over something that normally wouldn't matter. The easy response is: "What's wrong with you?" But love asks a better question: "What is happening with you?" There is a difference. Perhaps your spouse had a difficult day at work. Perhaps something happened that they haven't found the courage to discuss. Perhaps they are simply tired. Understanding doesn't mean agreeing with everything your spouse does. It means taking time to understand the person before passing judgment on the behaviour. Imagine a husband returning home from work in Accra after battling traffic for hours, frustrated and exhausted. His wife notices his silence and immediately assumes, "He's angry with me." But instead of reacting, she asks: "Honey, you've been quiet. Is everything okay?" That simple question may open a door that criticism would have closed. 📖 God's Word "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." — James 1:19 ❤️ Today's Love Action Before making an assumption about your spouse today, ask one gentle question and listen carefully to the answer. 💬 Let's Talk Do I usually try to understand my spouse before I react to their behaviour? 🙏 Prayer Heavenly Father, teach us to listen with patience and understand with compassion. Help us not to judge quickly or assume the worst about one another. Give us hearts that are willing to listen before speaking and understand before reacting. A WORD FOR YOU. (Insights For Life) Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Jeremiah 1:11 KJV. WHAT DO YOU SEE? This is one of the most powerful question ever asked in the scripture. It is deliberate. This is because your answer to this question, changes everything in and around you. It is the foundation for every genuine change. It is what makes the whole difference in a man's life. What do you see? God is not responsible for everything happening to you. The devil is not either. You are at the centre of everything happenings in your life. You are a decider, a contributor, a partner to the decision making process of the changes, events and activities of your life. "I leave everything in God's hands", is an ignorant man's submission. God has so much in his hands already. So leaving yours in his hands, creates a difficult situation for you. The day you understand this truth and leave by it, your life will begin to take a new shape. What do you see? CHANGE, PROGRESS, SOLUTION, VICTORY; BEGINS WITH WHAT YOU SEE. This is the first step to a breakthrough or a breakdown. The reason is: LIFE, GOD, is only committed to what you see. What you say, is a conclusion, but what you see is a decision. Many have decided their destiny long before it happens by their constant projection of their thoughts and imagination. Until you change what you see, you can't change WHAT YOU SEE. To others, they see nothing. No wonder life and God is delivering nothing to them. Do you see failure or success? Do you see frustration or manifestation? Do you see disappointment or appointment? Do you see marital settlement, financial turnaround, Favour and God's goodness? If YES, NOW, go ahead and declare them upon your self. Say it loud, let the heavens and earth hear it. MY JOY… YOUR JOY Jesus said, “That My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” — John 15:11 The joy Jesus gives is not the same as temporary happiness. Jesus’ joy came from complete surrender to the Father and the privilege of doing God’s will. His joy was not dependent on circumstances, good health, money, or seeing everything go perfectly. His joy came from knowing God and being in fellowship with Him. This challenges us because we often look for joy in what is happening around us. We become irritated when things don't go our way, and our worries gradually choke the Word of God. But Jesus wants us to discover a deeper joy—a joy that remains even when circumstances change. True Christian joy is found in being rightly related to God. When we stop making everything about ourselves—our success, recognition, comfort, or usefulness—and simply live for Christ, His life begins to flow through us. Like Jesus said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” The people who bless others the most are often those who are not even conscious that they are doing it. They are simply living in fellowship with Christ. So ask yourself: Where is my joy coming from? Is it from what God gives me, what people say about me, or what I accomplish? Or is my joy rooted in God Himself? When Christ becomes your joy, circumstances no longer have the final authority over your peace.

There is something dangerous happening in this generation: The algorithm is becoming an unofficial pulpit. The preacher with the biggest following is assumed to have the biggest truth. The message with the most views is assumed to be the message God approves. But eternity does not operate by engagement. Heaven does not count likes. God Sees What Nobody Else Sees (Matthew 6:4) Have you ever done something good and nobody noticed? You helped someone, but nobody thanked you. You worked hard, but someone else received the recognition. You prayed for someone privately, but they never knew. You remained faithful when walking away would have been easier. You chose integrity when nobody would have known if you had compromised. Sometimes it can feel discouraging. We naturally want to be recognized. We want someone to say: “Well done.” “I appreciate you.” “I saw what you did.” But Jesus reminds us of something powerful: God sees. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches about giving, praying, and serving without doing these things simply to receive recognition from people. He reminds us that our heavenly Father sees what is done in secret. That means your quiet faithfulness matters. The prayer nobody heard matters. The kindness nobody noticed matters. The sacrifice nobody applauded matters. The temptation you resisted when nobody was watching matters. The decision to tell the truth when lying would have benefited you matters. The time you spent encouraging someone matters. The work you do with excellence even when your supervisor isn't watching matters. God sees it all. We live in a culture that often measures success by visibility. How many people saw it? How many likes did it receive? How many followers did it attract? How many people applauded? But God's measurement system is different. He looks at the heart. You can have thousands of people watching you and still have the wrong motives. You can also serve quietly with nobody watching and deeply honour God. Jesus Himself often withdrew from crowds to pray. He wasn't constantly seeking attention. He knew His identity came from the Father. And that's something we need to learn too. You don't have to perform for people when you are secure in God's approval. This doesn't mean recognition is always bad. Encouragement is good. Appreciation is good. Celebrating someone's achievement is good. But don't allow applause to become the reason you do what is right. If people praise you, remain humble. If they don't, remain faithful. If people notice, thank God. If they overlook you, keep going. Your reward isn't ultimately determined by people's opinions. There may be moments when your work feels invisible. A parent caring for a family. A student studying late at night. A worker doing an honest job. A Christian quietly serving at church. Someone praying for their family every morning. Someone choosing purity in a culture that celebrates compromise. Someone forgiving instead of seeking revenge. Someone sharing Jesus with a friend who is struggling. The world may never know the full story. But God does. Don't underestimate the power of hidden faithfulness. A tree grows from roots that most people never see. In the same way, some of the most important things God is doing in your life may be happening beneath the surface. Your character is developing. Your faith is becoming stronger. Your patience is growing. Your relationship with God is deepening. Your obedience is being tested. And one day, the fruit may become visible. So don't quit simply because nobody is applauding. Don't compromise simply because nobody seems to care. Don't stop doing good because someone else received the credit. Don't abandon your calling because your work isn't immediately recognized. Be faithful. Do what is right. Serve with the right heart. Love people. Obey God. And leave recognition in His hands. Remember Joseph. He served faithfully even when he was in prison. There was no glamorous platform. No crowd cheering for him. No obvious evidence that his future would become great. But God was with him. Eventually, God opened the door at the right time. Your current position may not be your final destination. Your hidden season may be preparing you for something you cannot see yet. So keep planting. Keep serving. Keep praying. Keep learning. Keep doing good. And don't forget: God sees what people don't see. Your heavenly Father knows your heart. He knows your motives. He knows your sacrifices. He knows your struggles. He knows the battles you fight privately. And His approval is worth more than the applause of the world. You don't need everyone to notice your faithfulness. You only need to remain faithful to the One who sees everything. Today, do one good thing without expecting recognition. Help someone. Encourage someone. Pray for someone. Serve quietly. Give generously. And don't worry about whether anyone notices. God sees.
