• # **DWELLING IN THE SECRET PLACE**

    There is a difference between **visiting God and living close to God**. Psalm 91:1 says, *“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”* I think of the secret place as that quiet space where you can put everything down for a moment—the things you cannot explain to anyone, the worries you carry into the night, the questions you are afraid to ask out loud. It is where you come before God without pretending that everything is fine. In His presence, you can breathe again.

    The secret place is not necessarily a particular room, building, or mountain. It is a life of intimacy with God. It may be those early minutes before everyone else wakes up, a quiet corner after a long day, or simply a moment in your car when you turn everything off and talk honestly to God. **To dwell means to remain.** It is more than running to God when life falls apart and then forgetting Him when things become comfortable. It is learning to walk with Him in ordinary days as well as difficult ones. When you make God's presence a regular part of your life, prayer becomes more than an emergency call; it becomes a relationship.

    Something changes when you spend time with God consistently. Your problems may not disappear overnight, but your perspective begins to change. You become less controlled by fear and less dependent on people's approval. You begin to recognize God's voice, understand His Word more clearly, and make decisions from a place of faith rather than panic. The secret place does not promise a life without trouble; it gives you somewhere to stand when trouble comes. **Psalm 91:2** says, *“I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’”*

    Perhaps you have been trying to carry too much on your own. You have been strong for everyone else, answering messages, solving problems, meeting expectations, and quietly wondering who will strengthen you. **Come back to the secret place.** You don't have to arrive with perfect words. Come tired. Come confused. Come grateful. Come disappointed. Just come. God is not asking you to perform; He is inviting you into His presence.

    Don't make the secret place somewhere you visit only when you are desperate. **Make it your dwelling.** Let prayer become part of your rhythm. Let Scripture shape your thinking. Let worship quiet your heart. And when the storms come—and they will—you will have something deeper than circumstances to hold onto. **You will know where your strength comes from, where your peace is found, and where you can return when everything around you feels uncertain.**

  • Romans 11:

    "1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
    2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
    3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
    4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
    5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
    6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
    7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
    8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
    9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
    10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
    11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
    12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
    13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
    14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
    15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
    16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
    17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
    18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
    19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
    20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
    21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
    22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
    23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
    24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
    25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
    26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
    27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
    28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
    29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
    30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
    31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
    32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
    33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
    34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?
    35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
    36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen."

  • FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE, THE ENGINE OF LIVING FAITH

    “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6 NKJV

    There is a powerful truth hidden in those words, “faith working through love.”

    The Greek word for faith is pistis, meaning faith, trust, confidence, or persuasion.

    The word translated working is energeō, meaning to be active, operative, or at work.

    And love is agapē, the self-giving love that reflects the nature and character of God.

    Paul is showing us that biblical faith was never intended to operate independently of love. Faith works through love.

    Why is this so important?

    Because 1 John 4:8 says, “God is love.”

    Faith places our confidence in God, and the God in whom we place our faith is love. Therefore, genuine faith should increasingly express the character of the One in whom we believe.

    Now consider James 2:17:

    “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

    James uses the Greek word nekros, meaning dead or lifeless.

    James isn't attacking faith. He is describing faith that produces no corresponding action.

    Look at the examples surrounding his teaching. Someone is hungry. Someone needs clothing. Someone needs help.

    Living faith doesn't simply say, “God bless you.”

    Living faith moves.

    Living faith gives.

    Living faith serves.

    Living faith loves.

    This agrees beautifully with Galatians 5:6. Paul says faith works through love, while James says living faith produces action.

    Then Paul gives us an even stronger warning:

    “And though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2 NKJV

    Think about that.

    You can understand doctrine.

    You can confess Scripture.

    You can exercise spiritual gifts.

    You can even possess mountain-moving faith.

    But without love, something essential is missing.

    Love also affects how we stand in faith.

    Jesus connects believing prayer with forgiveness in Mark 11:22–25. We cannot separate our faith toward God from the condition of our hearts toward people.

    Bitterness, resentment, hatred, and unforgiveness are contrary to the love through which faith is called to work.

    Faith is also not a mechanical formula for getting something from God.

    Faith is trust in a Person.

    This becomes especially important when we understand our inheritance in Christ. Children don't receive an inheritance because they mastered a formula.

    They receive because they belong to the family.

    Abraham believed God, but his faith produced covenant obedience. He went when God said go. He trusted when circumstances looked impossible. He obeyed when his faith was tested.

    His faith wasn't merely something he confessed.

    His faith shaped how he lived.

    Without love, faith can become ideology.

    Without love, doctrine can become a weapon.

    Without love, inheritance can become entitlement.

    But when faith works through love:

    Faith becomes transformative.

    Doctrine becomes life-giving.

    Inheritance becomes stewardship.

    And our lives begin revealing Jesus.

    Jesus said:

    “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 NKJV

    So perhaps we should ask ourselves:

    Is my faith producing love?

    Am I forgiving?

    Am I serving?

    Am I helping?

    Am I speaking truth in love?

    Faith connects us to God. God is love. Faith works through love. And living faith produces loving action.

    “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV

    Father, teach us to walk in faith that works through love. Purify our motives, remove bitterness and unforgiveness, and let the love of Christ govern our words and actions. May our faith produce obedience, compassion, forgiveness, and service, so this world can see Jesus living through us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • ABIDE IN CHRIST TO THE END

    1 John 2:28

    "And now, dear children, remain in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming."

    John urges believers to remain firmly attached to Christ in the face of false teachings and spiritual deceptions. He brings them back to the essentials: remaining in Jesus until his return.

    The Christian life is not just about starting with Christ, but about remaining in him. The seasons change, trials come, voices multiply, but those who remain in Christ keep their hearts in the truth.

    Our hope is not only to receive God's promises today; we also await Jesus' return with confidence.

    Abiding in him means continuing to believe, obey, and love his Word and walking in fellowship with him, even when no one is watching.

    Today's faithfulness prepares the way for the day we will see the King.

    Examine your walk with Christ: do you truly abide in Him, or only in Christian habits and church activities?

    Today, renew your commitment to Jesus. Nourish yourself with His Word, cultivate prayer, and reject anything that cools your communion with Him.

    Ask the Lord Jesus: help me to abide in You until Your return. Keep my heart faithful to Your Word so that I may await You with confidence and joy. Amen.

    THEME : Don’t OVERWORK YOURSELF

    Memorise:

    And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
    — Genesis 2:2 (KJV)

    Read: 1 Kings 19:4-8 (KJV)

    4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
    5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
    6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
    7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
    8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

    Message

    Elijah must have used up a lot of stored-up spiritual energy when he prayed, and fire fell from heaven in 1 Kings 18:36-38. After that, he drew upon the same reservoir of spiritual energy to summon rain from heaven. It had not rained for three and a half years, and the sky was absolutely clear, but he put a significant demand on his reservoir of spiritual energy by praying until it started raining (1 Kings 18:41-45). Furthermore, he used even more spiritual energy to run faster than the king's chariot (1 Kings 18:46) for a distance that some Bible scholars estimate to be about seven kilometres. After doing all these, he hadn't rested or taken time to recharge his spiritual energy when he received news that Queen Jezebel was after his life.

    His spiritual energy had been grossly depleted, so he ran for three days and nights to save his life. By the time he got to the juniper tree in today's Bible reading, he was so weak and spiritually drained that he prayed to God to end his life. As soon as he said this prayer, he fell asleep because he had not slept for more than three days. The angel of the Lord came to wake him up to eat, and after eating, he fell asleep again, even though he was aware that Queen Jezebel was still after his life. The angel of the Lord had to wake him up a second time to eat again because he needed strength for the great journey ahead of him. You must also take time out to rest and recharge your spiritual energy if you want to run the race ahead of you successfully.

    In Genesis 1:1-31, the Bible describes how God created one thing after another. It was a lot of work, but as the account progressed to Genesis 2:2, which is today's memory verse, you will see that God rested. Beloved, you cannot be wiser than God. If God Himself rested after creation, then you must also create time to rest from time to time. Do not finish one demanding task after another without taking time to rest. Many people have overworked themselves to the point of exhaustion, but this is not God's plan for anyone. He wants you to know when and how to take rests so you don't burn yourself out.
    Beloved, I pray that the Almighty God will shower you with His wisdom so you will know how to preserve your strength, in Jesus' name.

    Hymn 33: Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah!
    Verse 1:Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,Pilgrim through this barren land;I am weak, but Thou art mighty,Hold me with Thy powerful hand;Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,Feed me till I want no more.
    Verse 2:Open now the crystal fountain,Whence the healing stream doth flow;Let the fire and cloudy pillarLead me all my journey through;Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,Be Thou still my strength and shield.

    Verse 3:
    When I tread the verge of Jordan,
    Bid my anxious fears subside;
    Death of death, and hell's destruction,
    Land me safe on Canaan's side;
    Songs of praises, songs of praises,
    I will ever give to Thee.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY. SATURDAY AUGUST 29, 2O26.
    "THERE’S NOBODY LIKE HIM! (4)"

    ‘Let all that I am praise the Lord;...’ Psalms 103:2 NLT

    THE BIBLE equates God with light, and light with holiness. ‘…God is light; in him there is no darkness at all’ (1 John 1:5 NIV). Paul said that God dwells in ‘…unapproachable light…’ (1 Timothy 6:16 NIV). Scripture refers to Christ ‘…who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners…’ (Hebrews 7:26 NIV). So how should you approach such a God? As you would an auditor when your books don’t balance? Or a dictator who holds the power of life and death? No, Jesus told us to pray, ‘…Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name’ (Matthew 6:9 KJV). There’s your answer! You must come to God as a father who loves you dearly and desires only what is best for you, while always regarding Him with profound reverence. As your awe of God expands, your fears in life will diminish. A big view of God translates into big courage; a small view of God generates no courage at all. A puny God can’t help you when cancer strikes, your family is in trouble, or you’ve no way to pay your bills. A ‘do-me-a-favour’ Jesus may look good stuck on your dashboard, but that image can do nothing for your fears. You need an awesome God, who, while diminishing your ego, enlarges your faith and blows your mind. David wrote: ‘Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things…’ (Psalms 103:2-5 NLT).

    *SUNDRY WORDS OF WISDOM*

    *TEXT:* PROVERBS 13:18-25.

    18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
    19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
    20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
    21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
    22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
    23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.
    24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
    25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed"_ (Proverbs 13:20).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    If people are asked how to differentiate a wise person from a foolish person, the answer will differ according to the wisdom or foolishness of individuals giving the answer. Unfortunately, in most cases, the foolish see themselves as wiser than the wise. The successful and rich farmer in Luke 12:19-21 appeared to have had wisdom to make wealth and multiply it. Most people will take such, today as wise and smart, but God called him a fool. So a wise man in the eyes of an earthly person is not necessarily wise as far as the Ancient of Days is concerned. The Word of God is therefore, the most reliable and best literature on true and divinely approved wisdom. It looks at wisdom in the context of eternity and not in the context of ephemeral things of this world. The book of Proverbs contains practical wisdom for victorious and godly living. The text gives us some lectures on what constitutes true wisdom in the sight of God and in the sight of truth loving men. In essence, we can perceive wisdom in a person through his words, ways of life, values, choices and disciplines.

    *1. Humility in Receiving Instruction*

    One of the outputs of wisdom is the humility to accept and obey godly instructions. Anyone who claims, by his actions, that he is above instruction must claim to be on the same table of wisdom with the Omniscience God. That will be foolishness. *“Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.”* Refusing godly correction often leads to painful consequences, while accepting rebuke produces growth and honour. A teachable spirit is a mark of wisdom.

    *Question*

    How do you respond when godly correction is given to you? Is a proud intelligent or wealthy person wise?

    *2. The Happiness in Realization of Interest*

    *“The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul…”* This is well known experientially. There is joy when righteous desires are fulfilled. What if the desire that is accomplished is evil? Is it still sweet to the soul? This is how to differentiate a fool from the wise. For the wise, when evil desires come to pass, they are sad and unhappy. They cannot rest until they go to God for mercy. The fool reacts differently. They are happy at the evil that happens because *"it is abomination for fools to depart from evil"*. They are always right and wise in their own eyes even when they do evil or evil happens.

    *Question*

    Do you rejoice when evil desires are accomplished? Do you rejoice when good things happen to others? You can always judge whether you are a fool in the eyes of God or not.

    *3. The Healthy of Relationship with the Intelligent*

    *“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”* Our companions influence our character, decisions and future. Walking with wise people, according to Divine definition of wisdom, promotes wisdom, while intimate association with foolish people can bring sorrow.
    Your peers influence your principles and your principle determines your prudence. Your relationships reform your Character and your character determines your personality.

    *Question*

    Are your closest companions helping you to grow in wisdom and godliness?

    *4. The Harvests of Reward for Involvements*

    Whatever is sown will be harvested in multiple folds whether good or evil. It is a matter of time.
    *"Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repaid.”* Nobody should deceive himself that if he sows sin and sows to the flesh he will reap righteousness and spirituality. Those who sow love and goodness will reap the same with their children. Sin has consequences and eventually, catches up with the unrepentant. God, however, watches over the righteous and rewards those who faithfully follow Him.

    *Question*

    What are you sowing with your tongue and talents?

    *5. Having Righteous Inheritance*

    *“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children…”* The inheritance can be education, wealth, good spiritual and moral upbringing. A godly inheritance includes more than money and possessions. Faith, integrity, wisdom, good character and the fear of God are treasures that can bless generations. A wise father invests all these good things in the life of the younger generation through any medium possible just like Jesus gave us diver blessings as he departed from the world.

    *Question*

    Do you demonstrate wisdom by investing invaluable things to your younger generation through any medium available?

    *6. The Huge Results of Ignorance*

    *“Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.”*
    God can provide abundance through diligent labour. The poor remains poor not because he was made so, but just because he could not till the ground and labour. Furthermore, poor decisions, injustice and lack of wise management may destroy what could have been fruitful. Those who are enjoying bountiful harvests in a godly way are using God's wisdom while those who remain poor should go and learn the wisdom of God.

    *Question*

    Are you using the opportunities and resources God has given you with wisdom and good judgment?

    *7. Home Rulership without Indiscipline*

    *“He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”* The rod is not necessarily physical. It may also be psychological, frowns or stern rebukes. Genuine love does not ignore wrongdoing. A child left to himself will be spoilt and become a source of shame to the parents and the society. Schools might be forbidden from spanking, but God expects parents, both natural and spiritual, to enforce discipline lovingly and godly.Godly discipline, exercised with wisdom and love, helps to correct, train and guide children in the right path.

    *Question*

    Do you apply wisdom and love in the discipline of the erring both in the Church and the natural family?

    *8. Divine Recompence according to the Heart*

    *“The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.”* God knows the needs of His people and is able to provide for them. The righteous learn contentment and dependence upon God, while wickedness ultimately leads to emptiness.

    *Question*

    Do you trust God daily as your Provider and seek to live in righteousness before Him?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, give me a humble and teachable heart that receives godly correction .
    2.Father, surround me with wise and godly companions who will strengthen my faith .
    3.Lord, help me to leave a lasting inheritance of faith, wisdom and godly character for future generations .
    4.Father, grant Your children wisdom to manage opportunities and resources that You have provided them.

    *WATCH YOUR DESIRES* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:PROVERBS 13:18-25```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil" (PROVERBS 13:19).*_

    *"Some desire is necessary to keep life in motion," said the English writer, moralist and sermonist, Samuel Johnson, "and he whose real wants are supplied, must admit those of fancy." The problem often arises from the nature of the desire people harbour. Most people desire what they do not need, but what serves their fancies. Some are never able to distinguish between the needs they should desire and the wants that serve little purpose.*

    *King Solomon, the writer of these couplets in the Proverbs, could justifiably claim expertise on the sometimes messy topic of desires. He lived for a time to satisfy his personal desires, to feed his body with whatever he wanted. But in the end, he saw them as vanity, inferring by his conduct that he, who was the wisest of men in his time had succumbed to the cravings of the most foolish people. He therefore, warned of the consequences of rejecting instructions, probably alluding to his action, emphasising that even if the desires of such people were accomplished and seemed "sweet to the soul", at least for a time, it offers no incentive to the foolish person to shun evil conducts. He draws a parallel between those that keep company with wise men, and companions of unwise people. He concludes that sinners are invariably unwise in what truly matters in life, and are therefore unable to bequeath a legacy of inheritance to generations after them. Stressing the destructive nature of poor judgment, the wise preacher also counselled against withholding discipline from children, and affirms that it is an expression of love to ensure that children are brought up well. In the end, this is part of what brings satisfaction to the righteous, as the fruit of his labour.*

    *It is no doubt, desirable to achieve our goals in life, but we must be careful as not every desire is worth pursuing. Some are so deadly that when you set your heart on them, you may lose the ability to determine what is truly good, and what is dangerous. Often, our desires influence how we justly assess our actions. At such a time, it becomes important whose words we obey, whose advice we accept, and whose friendship we keep. The word of God must under-guard our every action. Any desire that panders more to our ego or serves only our flesh runs counter to God's command. We must focus on what God says, and shun any desire that tends towards pride and vainglory.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done" (Joshua 7:20).*_
    As the children of Israel prepared to attack Jericho, the gateway to Canaan land, God commanded them to destroy all the people of Jericho with all their properties, except the vessels of silver, gold, brass and iron which were meant to be used for God's service. They were warned never to take for themselves any property from Jericho.
    After conquering Jericho, they proceeded to fight against a tiny enemy town called Ai. But in the process, thirty-six men among the Israelites were killed by the men of Ai, and the rest were chased away shamefully and disgraced because one of the men of Israel called Achan disobeyed God's command. This made God not to protect or help them in the battle.
    Achan fell into a chain of sins by:
    *(1) Looking at and admiring the Babylonish garment, money and gold.*
    *(2) Coveting the Babylonish properties.*
    *(3) Disobeying God's command by stealing the Babylonish properties.*
    *(4) Trying to cover his sins by secretly hiding the stolen Babylonish properties in his room.*
    *(5) Influencing his family members to join him in covering up his sins.*
    *(6) Causing the death of his family and thirty-six men of Israel.*
    *(7) Causing the anger of God to come upon the Israelites.*
    Achan's sins could not be hidden from God. He was exposed and disgraced. Himself, his wife and children were all stoned to death and burnt with all their properties including what he stole and attempted to cover up.
    *At the tail end of every chain of sins is damnation and destruction. But only Jesus has the power to break the chain and set the sinner free through repentance and cleansing in His precious blood. Repent now and be free from the consequences of your sins.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; ⏤ Colossians 3:23
    The great thing in prayer is to feel that we are putting our supplications into the bosom of omnipotent love. ⏤ Andrew Murray
    We come into Your presence, O great and glorious God, to begin the day at Your feet. Without Your blessing, we dare not venture into the twisting paths of the world. We desire to do good work today. Keep us from being satisfied with merely fulfilling our duties; may we do even the smallest tasks with excellence, so as to please You.
    We also desire to live well in our family life. Sometimes we fail to do our best at home. We grow careless, and we do not speak as affectionately as we should. We are less courteous and kind than we might be. We do not always give the best expressions of love to those closest to us. Teach us, Father, to love at home—and to show our love. Preserve us from impatience, irritability, and frustration in our interactions as a home, and give us the spirit of love.
    We also desire to show love in all our relationships with the world. Give us a generous heart toward our neighbors. Help us to be like Jesus, who, when reviled, did not revile in return—who bore injury and insult with meekness and gentleness. May we have the same patient love that He had. If we suffer wrong from others, may we bear it quietly, without resentment, returning good for evil and kindness for unkindness.
    May we have the spirit of helpfulness toward all our neighbors. May we be like the Good Samaritan to anyone we find in distress or need. Enable us to carry the love of Jesus to every life we touch. Make us good interpreters of Jesus' divine love and kindness. May our neighbors see in us the holiness of Jesus. Let our day be one of beauty and grace, full of Jesus and full of goodness to others. We ask this in the blessed name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Those who are enjoying bountiful harvests in a godly way are using God's wisdom while those who remain poor should go and learn the wisdom of God. *Question* Are you using the opportunities and resources God has given you with wisdom and good judgment? *7. Home Rulership without Indiscipline* *“He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”* The rod is not necessarily physical. It may also be psychological, frowns or stern rebukes. Genuine love does not ignore wrongdoing. A child left to himself will be spoilt and become a source of shame to the parents and the society. Schools might be forbidden from spanking, but God expects parents, both natural and spiritual, to enforce discipline lovingly and godly.Godly discipline, exercised with wisdom and love, helps to correct, train and guide children in the right path. *Question* Do you apply wisdom and love in the discipline of the erring both in the Church and the natural family? *8. Divine Recompence according to the Heart* *“The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.”* God knows the needs of His people and is able to provide for them. The righteous learn contentment and dependence upon God, while wickedness ultimately leads to emptiness. *Question* Do you trust God daily as your Provider and seek to live in righteousness before Him? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, give me a humble and teachable heart that receives godly correction 🙏. 2.Father, surround me with wise and godly companions who will strengthen my faith 🙏. 3.Lord, help me to leave a lasting inheritance of faith, wisdom and godly character for future generations 🙏. 4.Father, grant Your children wisdom to manage opportunities and resources that You have provided them🙏. *HYMN:* Deeper Deeper *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* PHILEMON [28/08, 9:18 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) SATURDAY 29TH AUGUST, 2026``` *WATCH YOUR DESIRES* 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️💓⚠️‼️🛑👁️🧐🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:PROVERBS 13:18-25```📜📜 🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil" (PROVERBS 13:19).*_ *"Some desire is necessary to keep life in motion," said the English writer, moralist and sermonist, Samuel Johnson, "and he whose real wants are supplied, must admit those of fancy." The problem often arises from the nature of the desire people harbour. Most people desire what they do not need, but what serves their fancies. Some are never able to distinguish between the needs they should desire and the wants that serve little purpose.* *King Solomon, the writer of these couplets in the Proverbs, could justifiably claim expertise on the sometimes messy topic of desires. He lived for a time to satisfy his personal desires, to feed his body with whatever he wanted. But in the end, he saw them as vanity, inferring by his conduct that he, who was the wisest of men in his time had succumbed to the cravings of the most foolish people. He therefore, warned of the consequences of rejecting instructions, probably alluding to his action, emphasising that even if the desires of such people were accomplished and seemed "sweet to the soul", at least for a time, it offers no incentive to the foolish person to shun evil conducts. He draws a parallel between those that keep company with wise men, and companions of unwise people. He concludes that sinners are invariably unwise in what truly matters in life, and are therefore unable to bequeath a legacy of inheritance to generations after them. Stressing the destructive nature of poor judgment, the wise preacher also counselled against withholding discipline from children, and affirms that it is an expression of love to ensure that children are brought up well. In the end, this is part of what brings satisfaction to the righteous, as the fruit of his labour.* *It is no doubt, desirable to achieve our goals in life, but we must be careful as not every desire is worth pursuing. Some are so deadly that when you set your heart on them, you may lose the ability to determine what is truly good, and what is dangerous. Often, our desires influence how we justly assess our actions. At such a time, it becomes important whose words we obey, whose advice we accept, and whose friendship we keep. The word of God must under-guard our every action. Any desire that panders more to our ego or serves only our flesh runs counter to God's command. We must focus on what God says, and shun any desire that tends towards pride and vainglory.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Unchecked desires are the fuel that power unhinged conducts.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *PHILEMON*📜📜 Watch Your Desires https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 6: YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION; GHS 89: O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED; AND GHS 189: TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna29thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [28/08, 9:19 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```SATURDAY 29TH AUGUST, 2026``` *IN HIS SECRET PLACE - 1* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🗣️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:PSALM 91:1-9```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (PSALM 91:1).*_ *_World War I_ soldier, Leonard Knight was saved when a pocket Bible which he was carrying in his breast pocket stopped a German bullet from hitting him. They were warned never to take for themselves any property from Jericho. After conquering Jericho, they proceeded to fight against a tiny enemy town called Ai. But in the process, thirty-six men among the Israelites were killed by the men of Ai, and the rest were chased away shamefully and disgraced because one of the men of Israel called Achan disobeyed God's command. This made God not to protect or help them in the battle. Achan fell into a chain of sins by: *(1) Looking at and admiring the Babylonish garment, money and gold.* *(2) Coveting the Babylonish properties.* *(3) Disobeying God's command by stealing the Babylonish properties.* *(4) Trying to cover his sins by secretly hiding the stolen Babylonish properties in his room.* *(5) Influencing his family members to join him in covering up his sins.* *(6) Causing the death of his family and thirty-six men of Israel.* *(7) Causing the anger of God to come upon the Israelites.* Achan's sins could not be hidden from God. He was exposed and disgraced. Himself, his wife and children were all stoned to death and burnt with all their properties including what he stole and attempted to cover up. *At the tail end of every chain of sins is damnation and destruction. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; ⏤ Colossians 3:23 The great thing in prayer is to feel that we are putting our supplications into the bosom of omnipotent love. ⏤ Andrew Murray We come into Your presence, O great and glorious God, to begin the day at Your feet. Without Your blessing, we dare not venture into the twisting paths of the world. We desire to do good work today. Keep us from being satisfied with merely fulfilling our duties; may we do even the smallest tasks with excellence, so as to please You. We also desire to live well in our family life. Sometimes we fail to do our best at home. We grow careless, and we do not speak as affectionately as we should. We are less courteous and kind than we might be. We do not always give the best expressions of love to those closest to us. Teach us, Father, to love at home—and to show our love. Preserve us from impatience, irritability, and frustration in our interactions as a home, and give us the spirit of love. We also desire to show love in all our relationships with the world. Give us a generous heart toward our neighbors. Help us to be like Jesus, who, when reviled, did not revile in return—who bore injury and insult with meekness and gentleness. May we have the same patient love that He had. If we suffer wrong from others, may we bear it quietly, without resentment, returning good for evil and kindness for unkindness. May we have the spirit of helpfulness toward all our neighbors. May we be like the Good Samaritan to anyone we find in distress or need. Enable us to carry the love of Jesus to every life we touch. Make us good interpreters of Jesus' divine love and kindness. May our neighbors see in us the holiness of Jesus. Let our day be one of beauty and grace, full of Jesus and full of goodness to others. We ask this in the blessed name of Jesus Christ. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/55/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • Certainly. Here is Psalm 91 (KJV):
    > 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
    2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
    3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
    4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
    6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
    7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
    8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
    9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
    10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
    11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
    12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
    13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
    14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
    15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
    16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
  • GLOBAL SERMON TO FIGHTING NATIONS NOW — AWAKENING — END TIMES WARNING — THROUGH VISIONS SON SHOWN — USA, RUSSIA, MIDEAST, ISRAEL, UK, UKRAINE, IRAN, GAZA, EUROPE, AFRICA
    Son warning through visions — Acts of kindness, faithfulness, obedience, love greater than works of Satan — Shedding blood, making weapons of mass destruction — Repent and pursue clean life through faith in Christ or face heavier judgement if refuse — 1 Pet 4:17-18
    ---
    TEXT: 1 Pet 4:17-18 — For time has come for judgment to begin at house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be end of those who do not obey gospel of God? Now if righteous one is scarcely saved, where will ungodly and sinner appear?
    Matt 24:6-8 — And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars... For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom... All these are beginning of sorrows.
    Joel 2:28-30 — I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions... And I will show wonders in heavens and in earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
    1. WHAT SON SHOWED THROUGH VISIONS — RED 7 — WHY NATIONS NOW FIGHTING
    Son showed me servant Reagan — visions in this last age —
    Red 7 — Judgement of correction first to house 1 Pet 4:17 — Purified with love Heb 12:6 — Not hatred — Zech 13:9 — I will bring one-third through fire, will refine them as silver refined, and test them as gold tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them.
    I saw massive sorrow of chastening — house of God — to end massive glory Rom 8:18 — sufferings of this present time not worthy to be compared with glory which shall be revealed.
    Then same Red 7 turned to nations — to evil doers — Heavier strokes — Luke 12:47-48 — And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes... For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required.
    I saw Gold pure after Red 7 — Job 23:10 — When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold — Green 7 — 144,000 true Israel not practising sin 1 John 3:9, Rev 14:4-5 — ready for rapture.
    But fighting nations refused Red 7 — Therefore heavier judgement coming if refuse — Heb 10:31 — It is fearful thing to fall into hands of living God.
    What I saw: Maps — USA, Russia, Mideast, Israel, UK, Ukraine — tanks, drones, missiles, blood in streets, mushroom clouds drawings — Son said: Works of Satan.
    2. THIS IS END TIMES — JESUS SAID IT
    Matt 24:3 — Disciples asked: Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be sign of Your coming, and of end of age?
    Jesus answered for today:
    Matt 24:7 — Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
    2 Tim 3:1-3 — Know this, that in last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud... unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal...
    Rev 11:18 — Nations were angry, and Your wrath has come.
    USA vs Russia — UK with Ukraine — Israel vs Gaza vs Iran — Mideast burning — China watching Taiwan — This is not politics — This is Rev 6:4 — Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to one who sat on it to take peace from earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
    End times clock: Matt 24:33 — So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near — at doors!
    3. SON'S WARNING: WORKS OF SATAN VS ACTS OF CHRIST — CHOOSE
    Son showed distinction — Through visions:
    Works of Satan that fighting nations now do:
    Shedding innocent blood — Prov 6:16-17 — These six things LORD hates... hands that shed innocent blood — Gen 9:6 — Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed — Ukraine fields, Gaza children, Israel hostages, Sudan, Congo — All blood cries Gen 4:10 — Voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from ground.
    Making weapons of mass destruction — nuclear, chemical, AI drones to kill — Ps 37:14-15 — Wicked have drawn sword... to slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter their own heart.
    Lying, propaganda, sowing discord — Prov 6:19 — false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.
    Pride of thrones — Prov 16:18 — Pride goes before destruction.
    Acts that Son says are MAJOR — Greater than Satan's works:
    Kindness — Eph 4:32 — Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. — 2 Chron 7:14 — If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
    Faithfulness — Gal 5:22-23 — Fruit of Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness... — Keep covenant, not break treaties.
    Obedience — 1 Sam 15:22 — Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice — Obey gospel, not generals.
    Love to each other — John 13:35 — By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. — Matt 5:44 — Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you.
    Clean life through faith in Christ — 1 John 3:9 — Whoever born of God does not practice sin — Tit 2:11-12 — Grace teaches us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in present age.
    Mic 6:8 — He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
    Son says: Missile cannot save you — Kindness can — Faithfulness can — Love can — Because 1 Cor 13:13 — Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but greatest of these is love.
    4. DIRECT WARNING TO EACH FIGHTING NATION NOW — REPENT OR HEAVIER JUDGEMENT
    USA: Prov 14:34 — Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is reproach to any people. — Your power given much — Luke 12:48 — to whom much given much required — Stop funding blood for profit — Return to 2 Chron 7:14 — Pursue peace, not dominance — Matt 5:9 — Blessed are peacemakers.
    RUSSIA: Isa 10:12 — When LORD has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, I will punish fruit of arrogant heart of king of Assyria — Tanks will not give you security — Ps 20:7 — Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember name of LORD our God. — Repent from shedding brother blood Ukraine — Gen 4:9 — Where is Abel your brother?
    UKRAINE & UK: Rom 12:17-19 — Repay no one evil for evil... Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says Lord. — Courage without Christ becomes vengeance — Choose forgiveness path — Matt 6:14 — If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
    ISRAEL: Deut 7:6 — You are holy people to LORD your God — But Rom 2:28-29 — He is not a Jew who is one outwardly... but he is a Jew who is one inwardly — True Israel not practising sin 1 John 3:9 — Zech 2:8 — He who touches you touches apple of His eye — Yet Matt 23:37 — O Jerusalem, Jerusalem... How often I wanted to gather your children together — Return to Messiah Jesus — Blood of Lamb not blood of enemies will keep you — Acts 4:12 — Nor is there salvation in any other.
    MIDEAST — IRAN, GAZA, LEBANON, SYRIA, YEMEN: Ps 83:4 — They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation — This counsel shall not stand — Isa 54:17 — No weapon formed against you shall prosper — Stop teaching children hatred — Deut 6:6-7 — Teach them diligently to your children truth not death — Turn swords to kindness — Isa 2:4 — They shall beat their swords into plowshares... Nation shall not lift up sword against nation.
    ALL NATIONS MAKING WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION: Rev 11:18 — Should destroy those who destroy earth. — Isa 2:19 — They shall go into holes of rocks, and into caves of earth, from terror of LORD when He arises to shake earth mightily. — Nuclear fire you make will judge you — 2 Pet 3:10 — heavens will pass away with great noise, and elements will melt with fervent heat.
    5. SON'S FINAL CALL — DO IT NOW — SHARE IT NOW
    2 Cor 6:2 — Behold, now is accepted time; behold, now is day of salvation.
    Heb 3:15 — Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.
    Son warns: If refuse His punishment, heavier judgement — 1 Pet 4:17-18 — If judgement begins with us first, what will be end of those who do not obey gospel? If righteous scarcely saved, where will ungodly appear?
    Rom 14:12 — So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
    Therefore NOW:
    Repent — Acts 3:19 — Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.
    Pursue clean life through faith in Christ — Acts 26:18 — To open their eyes... that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me — 1 John 1:7 — Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
    Show acts of kindness, faithfulness, obedience, love — Gal 6:10 — As we have opportunity, let us do good to all — Feed enemy, not bomb — Rom 12:20 — If your enemy hungers, feed him.
    Stop shedding blood, stop making weapons of mass destruction — Isa 1:15-16 — When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean.
    This is end times — King Oyo 34 dead — King Harald V 89 dead — Thrones empty — Next may be nations empty — Matt 24:22 — Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for elect's sake those days will be shortened.
