Need to know. Signs You Have an Octopus Spirit! What is the Octopus Spirit? This is a spirit that causes you to feel like your mind is wrapped, squeezed, and pulled in many directions at once. It clouds your thinking, steals your peace, and tries to choke out your spiritual life with lies that sound like your own voice. The Bible does not use the word ‘octopus’ but it does describe this type of mental attack and calls us to take every thought captive to obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) So here are 8 points, or ‘tentacles,’ that can show if you are being oppressed by this spirit. Tentacle #1: You have intrusive thoughts that you did not invite. For example: - You are worship and a blasphemous thought flashes in. - You are driving and a thought tells you to hurt yourself. - You are holding your child and a dark image appears. You feel sick inside and wonder what is wrong with you. James 1:14 shows the enemies entices and whispers. You are not the thoughts you did not invite. Tentacle #2: Every thought turns hopeless. You make one small mistake and your mind jumps to ‘it is over.’ You have one bad day and feel, ‘this is who I am forever.’ If your thoughts keep ending in, ‘there is no point,’ that is a sign of mental oppression. Tentacle #3: You have mental loops that don’t stop. - You replay old conversations nonstop. - You reheard disasters that have not happened. - You wake up at night and relive things you cannot change. You are not processing. You are in torment. The octopus spirit keeps your mind spinning without peace. Tentacle #4: Your thoughts become your identity. You used to think, ‘I am struggling with fear.’ Now you say, ‘I am a fearful person.’ You used to think, ‘I am tempted by lust.’ Now you call yourself a lustful person. The Bible tells you to take thoughts captive, not to wear them as your name. When a repeated thought becomes how you describe yourself, it turns into a stronghold. Tentacle #5: Prayer feels heavy and numbing feels easy. The Bible feels boring, worship feels hollow, and prayer feels dry and heavy. But scrolling, eating, drinking, and binge watching feel effortless. This can be spiritual warfare that pulls you away from what nourishes your spirit and drags you toward what only numbs you. Tentacle #6: You hide and isolate. You start thinking things like: - ‘Do not tell anyone.’ - ‘They will judge me.’ - ‘No one will understand.’ - ‘Handle your problems alone.’ This spirit thrives in secrecy and isolation. The Bible calls us to confess our sins to one another and pray for each other to be healed. (James 5:16) When you think your thoughts into the light, the grip of this spirit begins to loosen. Tentacle #7: You live in mental fog and double mindedness. You feel constant fog in your mind and struggle to focus, pray, and make decisions. Some days you feel close to God, but other days you feel numb and distant. That fog is not from your Father. It is the enemy clouding the water so you cannot see clearly. Tentacle #8: You start giving yourself permission to sin. At first the voice in your head tempts you. Then it starts to sound like permission. - ‘You deserve it.’ - ‘Just do it this once.’ - ‘God will understand.’ - ‘It’s not that serious.’ When your own thoughts start writing permission slips and signing God’s name on them, this is a sign that this spirit is at work. If you see these signs in your life, it does not mean things are hopeless. It means the Holy Spirit is bringing this into the light so Jesus can set you free. Here is what to do: - Come to Jesus and confess that your mind belongs to Him. - Identify the lies and name them out loud as lies. - Replace lies with the truth of Scripture. - Repent of any open doors and invite Jesus to close them. - In the name of Jesus, command every spirit tied to these lies to leave. - Refuse isolation and share honestly with a trusted, mature believer. - Begin to renew your mind daily in the word of God. You do not have to live with this forever. In Christ there is real freedom.

As a Christian you must understand that Christ is not just a person, he's an environment, just like the garden of Eden, that is why the apostle Paul said if any man be *IN* Christ he is a new creation old things are passed away and the new has come *2 Corinthians 5:17* Believer are in the world but, are not of the world, you hail from the kingdom of heaven, that's the more reason your thinking should be different from the rest of the world, in Christ where you belong we see things differently, your reasoning should be different, no wonder the bible said: but you, you have the mind of Christ. *1 Corinthians 2:16.* You ought to understand how Christ reasons, in any situation where you find yourself, ask yourself if Jesus finds himself in this same situation what is he going to do. From the scripture we understand that Jesus doesn't play with words, we see in so many occasions how he talked his way out of many situation. Paul said in him we live(dwell always), in him we move and have our being. Powerful! you see why what affect others should not be seen affecting you, because you live in another kingdom, even though your physical body is moving in the physical realm, he said there is an atmosphere you carry around, don't you know your body is the temple of the holy ghost?, finally the apostle paul said: in him we have our being, that means our life comes from him. No wonder the Bible also said: if the Spirit of him that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, he that raised Christ from the dead will quicken your mortal body, your life as a Christian is not dependent on what you eat in the flesh, but where you live in the spirit, that's why you shouldn't be sick, or affected by disease and infirmity of any kind, because the holy ghost is in you, he is called the Spirit of perfection, he will perfect your body!. *Prayer: marvelous father, thank you for your word that has become to me a living word, I understand today through your word that I carry your presence everywhere I go, sickness, disease, infirmity and the situation others are going through has no place in me, because I hail from Christ, from this day forward I command your light to shine in my path always. A WORD FOR YOU. (Insights For Life) Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Jeremiah 1:11 KJV. WHAT DO YOU SEE? This is one of the most powerful question ever asked in the scripture. It is deliberate. This is because your answer to this question, changes everything in and around you. It is the foundation for every genuine change. It is what makes the whole difference in a man's life. What do you see? God is not responsible for everything happening to you. The devil is not either. You are at the centre of everything happenings in your life. You are a decider, a contributor, a partner to the decision making process of the changes, events and activities of your life. "I leave everything in God's hands", is an ignorant man's submission. God has so much in his hands already. So leaving yours in his hands, creates a difficult situation for you. The day you understand this truth and leave by it, your life will begin to take a new shape. What do you see? CHANGE, PROGRESS, SOLUTION, VICTORY; BEGINS WITH WHAT YOU SEE. This is the first step to a breakthrough or a breakdown. The reason is: LIFE, GOD, is only committed to what you see. What you say, is a conclusion, but what you see is a decision. Many have decided their destiny long before it happens by their constant projection of their thoughts and imagination. Until you change what you see, you can't change WHAT YOU SEE. To others, they see nothing. No wonder life and God is delivering nothing to them. Do you see failure or success? Do you see frustration or manifestation? Do you see disappointment or appointment? Do you see marital settlement, financial turnaround, Favour and God's goodness? If YES, NOW, go ahead and declare them upon your self. Say it loud, let the heavens and earth hear it. 1 September Have Never Seen the Righteous Forsaken 📖 Psalm 37:25 (AMP) “I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous [those in right standing with God] abandoned or his descendants pleading for bread.” God Has Never Forgotten You There are seasons when life can make you wonder whether God sees what you are going through. You may look at your circumstances and think, “Lord, how am I going to get through this?” Perhaps provision seems uncertain, the future feels unstable, or you have been waiting so long for an answer that discouragement has begun to creep into your heart. But David gives us a powerful testimony: he had lived long enough to see many seasons, yet he could testify that God had never abandoned His righteous ones. Notice that David didn't say the righteous never experience hardship. He didn't say they never face lack, disappointment, uncertainty, or difficult seasons. His testimony was that God does not abandon His children in the middle of those things. Sometimes God's provision doesn't arrive in the way or timing we expected. Sometimes He provides through an unexpected opportunity, a person, a door that opens, strength for another day, or simply the grace to keep going when we don't know what tomorrow holds. But He remains faithful. Your present circumstance is not proof of God's absence. A difficult season does not mean God has forgotten your name. A delayed answer does not mean He has changed His mind about you. A season of uncertainty does not mean you are walking alone. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already present in your tomorrow. 🌱 Remember What God Has Already Done David's confidence came from looking back. “I have been young and now I am old…” In other words: “I have lived long enough to know that God is faithful.” There is power in remembering. Think back over your own journey. Remember the doors God opened. Remember the times you thought you wouldn't make it, yet somehow you did. Remember the strength that came when you had none left. Remember the provision that arrived at just the right moment. Those moments become reminders for today: If God was faithful then, He is still faithful now. You don't have to understand everything God is doing to trust the God who is doing it. ❤️ God Is Your Provider Psalm 37:25 reminds us that our security ultimately does not come from our circumstances—it comes from God. People can change. Jobs can change. Economies can change. Plans can change. Life can change. God does not. He knows what you need before you ask. He sees what you cannot see. He knows where your provision will come from before you even know there is a need. So today, refuse to let fear tell you that you have been forgotten. Lift your eyes above the circumstance and remember the character of your Father. He is faithful. He is trustworthy. He is your provider. He will not abandon you. Your story isn't finished. 🙏 Prayer Father, Thank You for reminding me that You never abandon those who trust in You. When I look at my circumstances and become afraid of what tomorrow may bring, help me to remember Your faithfulness. Thank You for every time You have carried me, provided for me, protected me, and made a way when I couldn't see one. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear to make me question Your presence. Help me to trust You even when I don't understand Your timing. Teach me to walk by faith and not by what I see. Give me peace when provision seems uncertain and courage when the future feels unknown. Lord, I choose to believe that You have not forgotten me. You are still my Provider. You are still my Shepherd. You are still my refuge. You are still faithful. Let my life become a testimony like David's—that after walking through many seasons, I can look back and say: “God never left me. God never abandoned me. God was faithful every step of the way.” In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏 🌸 Today’s Declaration “I will not fear what tomorrow holds, because I know who holds tomorrow. God has never abandoned me, and He will remain faithful to me. I am not forgotten. I am not alone. My Father is my Provider, and I choose to trust Him.” 💛 Hold on to this today: God's silence is not His absence, and your waiting season is not a forgotten season.

THE MISSING PIECE “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” —John 3:16 Jesus’ retreat to the Garden of Gethsemane began a bad stretch of time for the Apostle Peter. First, he fell asleep on his watch after Jesus asked him to stay alert. Second, according to John 18:10, when Jesus’ enemies came to arrest Him, “Then Simon Peter drew a sword and slashed off the right ear of Malchus, the high priest’s slave” (NLT). And then, later that same night, when he was recognized as one of Jesus’ followers, Peter denied even knowing Jesus—not once, not twice, but three times. Can you identify with a guy like that? I know that it’s sometimes hard to imagine what God is up to in your life. You see a blank canvas, but God sees a finished painting. You see a piece of coal, but God sees a refined diamond. You see an untalented person, but God sees a mighty man or woman of God. This is also true of those we see in Scripture. We see an impetuous, impulsive Simon, but God sees a strong, decisive Apostle named Peter. We see a conniving, manipulative Jacob, but God sees a godly, trusting man named Israel. We see a young, naïve Joseph, but the Lord sees a brilliant, wise world leader. And when it was all said and done, Joseph was able to look back and say to his brothers, “You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20 NKJV). He recognized that God used what happened to him to mold him into a compassionate, forgiving leader of many. He was clay in the Potter’s hands. He trusted in the Lord. God specializes in making something out of nothing. I wonder what He’s doing with you right now. You’re a work in progress, and He isn’t finished yet. If you’re still alive and reading this, God has more work to do in your life! Most artists don’t like someone looking over their shoulders, trying to second-guess what they’re about to do. “Wait until I’m done,” they’ll say, “and then you’ll see.” So, trust in the Lord during those times when it’s hard to see what He’s doing. Don’t allow the hardships you face to make you a bitter person. It’s time to let go of that. Rather, allow them to make you a better person. Isaiah 64:4 says, “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” (NLT). That night in Gethsemane was hardly the end of Peter’s story. After Jesus rose from the grave and ascended back to Heaven, Peter became one of the key leaders of the early Christian church, boldly proclaiming the gospel throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. No matter what your past is like, and no matter where you are in your Christian journey, God has something important planned for you. God bless you!

31 August One Body, Many Members 1 Corinthians 12:27 (AMP) “Now you are Christ’s body, and individually you are members of it, each with his own special purpose and function.” God did not create you to walk through life without purpose. You are part of something much bigger than yourself—the Body of Christ. Every believer has a place, a purpose, and a contribution that matters. Sometimes we compare ourselves with others and wonder why our gifts, opportunities, or journey look different. But 1 Corinthians 12:27 reminds us that each of us has a unique place in Christ’s Body. A hand does not need to become an eye to have value. Likewise, you don't have to become someone else to be useful to God. Your kindness may encourage someone who is discouraged. Your prayers may strengthen someone who feels weak. Your words may bring hope. Your willingness to serve may make a difference that you never get to see. Never underestimate what God can do through your obedience. The role may seem small in your eyes, but nothing done for Christ is insignificant. Today, embrace your place in the Body of Christ. Celebrate the gifts God has given you, honor the gifts in others, and remember that we are stronger when we function together in love. Prayer Heavenly Father, Thank You for making me part of the Body of Christ. Help me to understand the purpose You have given me and to faithfully use my gifts for Your glory. Keep me from comparison and remind me that I have a valuable place in Your Kingdom. Teach me to appreciate and encourage others, knowing that we are all connected in You. Use my life, my words, my gifts, and my actions to bless others and point them to Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Today’s Reflection “I have a place in the Body of Christ, and what God has placed in me has purpose.” Walk today knowing that you matter, your contribution matters, and your God-given purpose matters.

Devotion: Isaiah 40:31 I In our desperation we need to remember that even the demons fear God, so when we walk in the shadow of the Almighty, they cannot touch us. We also should keep in mind that God, while always in attendance at our side, allows us free will. Sometimes it is our very own human choices that bring trouble knocking at our doors and by suffering through difficult times, God can teach us to rely on Him more AND He can use us as witnesses to help others battling their own demons. Friends, we can be powerful vessels for God, if we can see purpose in our pain and if we make the wiser choice of standing firm in faith despite whatever situation may arise. You may wonder how you can receive God’s power so that He can work through you: Micah 3:8: “But as for me, the LORD fills me with his spirit and power, and gives me a sense of justice and the courage to tell the people of Israel what their sins are.” Acts 2:17#: “I will pour out my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will proclaim my message; your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams.” You will indeed soar like an eagle if you receive in the Spirit of God. He will strengthen you in tough times, He will open doors for you to spread His word to the sinful world. Keep the faith, be steadfast and remember, all things in life work together for the glory of God. Now is the time to accept the Lord as your Saviour, for in Him alone lays your victory over your unfulfilled and empty life. Are you ready to choose Him above all earthly riches, all popularity and all status on earth? You see, the only thing that is important to God is your heart, so ask yourself this question: “Who am I striving to impress today? PLANTED BY THE RIVERS There is a quiet strength that comes from knowing where your roots are. Psalm 1:3 gives us a beautiful picture of a person who has learned to stay close to God: “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither.” I love the picture of a tree beside a river. The tree does not have to panic every time the weather changes. When the sun is hot, its roots can still reach the water. When the wind blows, it may bend, but it does not easily fall. Its strength comes from what is beneath the surface. Being planted in God is much the same. Life will have its dry seasons. There will be days when prayers seem unanswered, plans don't work out, people disappoint you, and you wonder how much longer you can keep going. But when your life is rooted in God's Word and your relationship with Him, difficult seasons don't have to destroy you. You may become tired, you may shed some tears, and you may even have moments when your faith feels weak—but you have a source deeper than your circumstances. God becomes the place you return to when everything else feels uncertain. Being planted also means staying. It is easy to seek God when we need an urgent answer, but being rooted requires something deeper—a consistent walk with Him. It means opening His Word when nobody is watching, praying even when you don't feel particularly spiritual, obeying when obedience is uncomfortable, and allowing God to correct and shape you. Going to church is important, but simply attending services is not the same as being rooted. You can sit in church every week and still remain spiritually dry. The goal is not merely to be around God's presence; it is to allow His Word to take root in your heart and influence the way you live. And notice that the tree produces fruit “in its season.” That matters. Not every season looks the same. There are seasons for growing, seasons for waiting, seasons for pruning, and seasons for bearing fruit. Don't become discouraged because your life doesn't look like someone else's. A tree doesn't produce fruit every day, yet it remains alive and connected to its source. Your season will come. Keep growing. Keep trusting. Keep your roots in the right place. Jeremiah 17:7–8 says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord... He will be like a tree planted by the water... its leaves are always green.” That is the kind of life God invites us to live—not a life without problems, but a life that remains alive in the middle of them. When the season is dry, stay planted. When the wind blows, stay planted. When you don't understand what God is doing, stay planted. Your strength is not in how perfect your circumstances are; it is in how deeply your roots reach into God.

God's Favor Meets Faithful Obedience Scripture Ruth 2:12 (NKJV) The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge. God's Providence in Ordinary Moments Ruth 2 beautifully reveals how God works behind the scenes to accomplish His purposes. After arriving in Bethlehem with Naomi, Ruth did not wait for life to become easier. Instead, she went into the fields to glean grain, following God's provision for the poor. Her willingness to work demonstrated both humility and faith. The Bible says that Ruth "happened" to come to the field belonging to Boaz. From a human perspective it appeared to be a coincidence, but from God's perspective it was divine providence. The Lord was quietly directing every step of Ruth's journey, leading her exactly where she needed to be. Boaz noticed Ruth's character before he noticed anything else. He had already heard about her faithfulness to Naomi and her decision to leave her homeland in order to trust the God of Israel. Rather than taking advantage of her vulnerability, Boaz showed compassion, generosity, protection, and kindness. He instructed his workers to leave extra grain for her and invited her to eat with his servants. Boaz's blessing in verse 12 reveals the heart of the chapter. Ruth had placed herself under the wings of the Lord for refuge. She had left behind everything familiar to trust the living God, and God was already providing for her through His unseen hand. Ruth could not yet see the full plan that God was unfolding. She simply remained faithful in the responsibilities before her. Yet every ordinary act of obedience became part of God's extraordinary plan of redemption. Believers often wonder whether God is working when life seems ordinary. Ruth 2 reminds us that God's providence is frequently hidden within everyday moments. The conversations we have, the places we go, the work we faithfully perform, and the people we meet may all be part of His greater purpose. God's guidance is often seen more clearly in hindsight than in the moment. Our responsibility is not to understand every detail of His plan but to remain faithful where He has placed us. Reflection Questions 1. Am I faithfully serving God in the ordinary responsibilities He has given me? 2. Do I trust that God is directing my steps even when I cannot see His plan? 3. How have I experienced God's provision in unexpected ways? Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithful provision and for working behind the scenes in my life. Help me to trust You even when I cannot see what You are doing. Give me a humble and faithful heart like Ruth, willing to serve You in the ordinary moments of life. Lead my steps according to Your perfect will, and help me rest under the refuge of Your loving care. In Jesus' name, Amen.
