  • PROVERB OF THE DAY

    (PROVERBS 31)

    1. The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:

    2. What, my son?
    And what, son of my womb?
    And what, son of my vows?

    3. Do not give your strength to women,
    Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.

    4. It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
    It is not for kings to drink wine,
    Nor for princes intoxicating drink;

    5. Lest they drink and forget the law,
    And pervert the justice of all the afflicted.

    6. Give strong drink to him who is perishing,
    And wine to those who are bitter of heart.

    7. Let him drink and forget his poverty,
    And remember his misery no more.

    8. Open your mouth for the speechless,
    In the cause of all who are appointed to die.

    9. Open your mouth, judge righteously,
    And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

    10. Who can find a virtuous wife?
    For her worth is far above rubies.

    11. The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
    So he will have no lack of gain.

    12. She does him good and not evil
    All the days of her life.

    13. She seeks wool and flax,
    And willingly works with her hands.

    14. She is like the merchant ships,
    She brings her food from afar.

    15. She also rises while it is yet night,
    And provides food for her household,
    And a portion for her maidservants.

    16. She considers a field and buys it;
    From her profits she plants a vineyard.

    17. She girds herself with strength,
    And strengthens her arms.

    18. She perceives that her merchandise is good,
    And her lamp does not go out by night.

    19. She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
    And her hand holds the spindle.

    20. She extends her hand to the poor,
    Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

    21. She is not afraid of snow for her household,
    For all her household is clothed with scarlet.

    22. She makes tapestry for herself;
    Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

    23. Her husband is known in the gates,
    When he sits among the elders of the land.

    24. She makes linen garments and sells them,
    And supplies sashes for the merchants.

    25. Strength and honor are her clothing;
    She shall rejoice in time to come.

    26. She opens her mouth with wisdom,
    And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

    27. She watches over the ways of her household,
    And does not eat the bread of idleness.

    28. Her children rise up and call her blessed;
    Her husband also, and he praises her:

    29“Many daughters have done well,
    But you excel them all.”

    30. Charm is
    deceitful and beauty is passing,
    But a woman who
    fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

    31. Give her of the fruit of her hands,
    And let her own works praise her in the gates.

  • Greetings everyone

    Yesterday evening, I visited a brick kiln and met around 20 childrenwho should have been sitting in a classroom, holding books and dreaming about their future.

    Instead, I found them working alongside their parents.

    There is no school for these children. Their families are struggling to survive, and the children have become part of that struggle. Their little hands are being used for hard labour when they should be holding pencils, turning pages, and learning.

    I came home, but I couldn't stop thinking about them.

    I kept asking myself: What if nobody comes forward for these children? What will their future look like?

    So I have decided to start a small educational effort for them. I want to teach them basic education and, most importantly, share with them the love, hope, and message of Jesus Christ.

    But I cannot do this alone.

    These children need food, school bags, books, notebooks, pencils, uniforms, and other basic school accessories. Even a small contribution can make a real difference in their lives.

    I am not asking you to give because these children are poor.

    I am asking you to give because every child deserves a chance.

    A meal can fill a hungry stomach.
    A book can open a mind.
    An education can change a future.
    And a little love can give a child hope again.

    Please help us give these 20 children a chance to learn, grow, and dream.

    If you can help with food, school supplies, teaching materials, or financial support, please contact me.

    Let's not allow poverty to decide their entire future.

    Let the little children come to me. — Matthew 19:14

    Please share this post so it can reach someone who is willing to stand with these children.

    One child. One book. One meal. One act of love.
    Together, we can make a difference.

  • Charles Spurgeon morning devotional
    Oil for the light."
    Exodus 25:6

    My soul, how much thou needest this, for thy lamp will not long continue to burn without it. Thy snuff will smoke and become an offence if light be gone, and gone it will be if oil be absent. Thou hast no oil well springing up in thy human nature, and therefore thou must go to them that sell and buy for thyself, or like the foolish virgins, thou wilt have to cry, "My lamp is gone out." Even the consecrated lamps could not give light without oil; though they shone in the tabernacle they needed to be fed, though no rough winds blew upon them they required to be trimmed, and thy need is equally as great. Under the most happy circumstances thou canst not give light for another hour unless fresh oil of grace be given thee.
    It was not every oil that might be used in the Lord's service; neither the petroleum which exudes so plentifully from the earth, nor the produce of fishes, nor that extracted from nuts would be accepted; one oil only was selected, and that the best olive oil. Pretended grace from natural goodness, fancied grace from priestly hands, or imaginary grace from outward ceremonies will never serve the true saint of God; he knows that the Lord would not be pleased with rivers of such oil. He goes to the olive-press of Gethsemane, and draws his supplies from him who was crushed therein. The oil of gospel grace is pure and free from lees and dregs, and hence the light which is fed thereon is clear and bright. Our churches are the Saviour's golden candelabra, and if they are to be lights in this dark world, they must have much holy oil. Let us pray for ourselves, our ministers, and our churches, that they may never lack oil for the light. Truth, holiness, joy, knowledge, love, these are all beams of the sacred light, but we cannot give them forth unless in private we receive oil from God the Holy Ghost.

  • Heartbreaking scenes from Nepal.

    PRAY FOR NEPAL

    Rescuers struggling to reach disaster zone after more than 160 killed in Nepal-Tibet flash floods

    More than 160 people have been killed in Nepal, and hundreds of tourists are missing, after a massive flash flood and mudslide

    The missing tourists include more than 100 from India, 54 from the US, 34 from Australia, and 33 from the UK, as well as more than 100 from Nepal itself, according to officials. The area is popular with pilgrims and trekkers

    The US, China, the EU and India are among the countries that have pledged assistance or dispatched relief supplies

    Dozens of Nepalese police officers and army personnel are also missing, as well as power workers. My family was swept away in front of me, one woman tells us - she and her son survived by climbing to a rooftop

    Authorities initially thought an earthquake may have preceded the flooding - but the US Geological Survey now says the "seismic energy was instead generated by a landslide"

    May those still in danger be protected and may everyone affected find strength. Pray for Nepal.

  • A BACK-TO-SCHOOL BLESSING CAN BEGIN WITH YOU

    “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and He will reward them for what they have done.” — Proverbs 19:17

    As children prepare to return to school, there are many who have the desire to learn but lack the basic requirements they need to begin the term with dignity and hope.

    I am starting a Back-to-School Children’s Support Campaign to help provide school essentials such as shoes, books, pens, brooms, school supplies and other scholastic materials to children who need a helping hand.

    This is not only for Ugandans. It is an invitation to anyone, anywhere in the world, who believes that every child deserves an opportunity to learn.

    You may think your contribution is small, but to a child, a pair of shoes can mean confidence, a book can mean opportunity, and a pen can become a tool that writes a brighter future.

    Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” — Matthew 19:14

    Let us put faith into action. 🏽

    If you feel led to give school materials, sponsor a child, contribute financially, or partner with this vision, please INBOX me. Every contribution, big or small, will be received with gratitude and directed toward helping children get ready for school.

    One child. One opportunity. One act of kindness. One brighter future.

    May God bless every hand that chooses to give. 🏽
